Not one of us can have the whole truth, we are to correct, rebuke, exhort and build each other up with the holy scriptures.

Even I can be wrong, hence before I take a position , I spend a lot of time studying, reading and researching to avoid setting a trap for myself and others, even at that I constantly reexamine what I believe in when corrected or new information arises.

Hell is a latin word and means a firery place of torment for the dead, evil people are supposed to go there according to the latin people.

Bringing it via translation into the bible(a Jewish book) has cause a lot of confusion.

Honesty means you recognised it(hell) for what it is = a latin word and drop it.

Then, you can start looking at the "fire" (mention in the bible) wherever it is used in the bible and find out what fire or lake of fire means without using the mirrow of the word "hell".

Now someone said that hardly is there a mention of hell after the gospel but Jesus spoke of a God who can destroy body and soul in hell for all eternity. He said we should fear Him. I cannot find the ref' now but know what I mean.

Hell is a latin word, was the bible NT and OT written in latin language? No.

The Original language words that the bible was written was Hebrew and Greek.

How then can Jesus have used a latin word(hell)?

The word used by Jesus was Gehena(a refuse dump sustained by fire outside the walls of Jeruselam).

It was via translation that the latin word(hell) and it meaning to the latin people came into the bible.
