I know that christians should "seek FIRST the kingdom" and that involves this:

"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. " (Matthew 24:14).

That ^ is a very big assignment that takes time that a christian can even use for the pursuit of money, so, realistically christ gave realistic advice to his followers.

While "seeking FIRST the kingdom", i dont see how the christian primary pre-occupation and preaching will/or should come to be material prosperity, otherwise he is no longer "seeking first the kingdom" but riches = lawlessness.
