The difference between a death cus by God and the one cause by a natural death is signified by the word fire in the bible and it simply stand for an everlasting destruction/absolute, complete death without the possibility of a resurrection, since it is only God that can destroy both "body and soul"(that is in fire, so, fire symbolises that complete destruction by God)

So, fire is used to show that implication of a destruction by God, final and permanent death.
