Politics › Re: Next Week's Presidential Election Will Be Mostly Along Ethnic & Religious Lines by Ttalk: 8:30pm On Feb 18, 2023
God1000:
I know some young people are working assiduously for change, a generational change and these young people cut across every tribe and language in Nigeria, they don't care where a candidate comes from, all they want is someone that will govern well.

But for the first time, we have three frontrunners from the three major tribes in Nigeria, so some nigerians will surely vote along ethnic line as well, these ones don't see beyond tribe and religion.

But again a lot of young have registered to vote this time, I think their votes will go a long way to decide who becomes the next president.

Here is the question, who among the three frontrunners( I mean between Obi, Tinubu and Atiku) enjoys the support of the youths more?
No one is voting along ethnic line except Igbo people. Other Nigerians are looking at competence, character and past record.

Atiku is a Fulani
Tinubu -Yoruba
Ibid Igbo

What about

Ijaw
Tiv
Nupe
Igala
Ebira

And other ethnic groups scattered all over Nigeria

Deep down every yoruba knows that peter obi is the best man for this leadership job infact if peter obi was a yoruba they would have frustrated tinubu to the point of dropping out of the race since laster year, however tis is this agelong cold hatred/jealousy towards ndigbo by some yorubas especially those from northern yorubaland oyo, illorin and osun.

Currently alot of them are coming out en mass boldly declaring their support for tinubu both illiterate and educated people like me are not surprise i have lived with yorubas for 20 years so nothing surprises me.
My advice to yorubas is this if you will listen to the voice of reasoning devoid of sentiment and emotions the problem is not tinubu being a president the problem is his vice shettima a well known bokoharam commander tinubu will not rule Nigeria shettima will ,remember since last year middle belt and and southern Nigera has being facing existencial threats from armed groups coming from the north to wreck havoc and destroying lives if you believe tinubu is healthy and strong enough to handle that problem then you are a joker, the thing is whenever tinubu flies out of Nigeria shettima will be in charge and trust me insecurity will worsen a word is enough.
But you want us to vote Peter Obi as governor where youth were drown in Awkuzu river and human parts were being sold during the inglorious days of Obi.

Today, Anambra still continue to be a failed state as gunmen killed 3 police men to record the sixth killing in the month of February in Anambra, a state governed by your mediocre Peter Obi

You are too dull to be responded to, but your ignorance deserves cure.

Obi could not lace the shoe of Fashola, Sanwoolu, Rauf Aregbeshola and Ibikunle Amosu in terms of governance and infrastructure, but you are here blinded by emotion and selling Obi underperformer to people who doesn't attach emotion to politics

Lol. Tinubu is not vying to be governor of my state. He's vying to be president. Nigeria has a lifespan of 52, while U.S is 80+. If you are wise, you'll also be asking these same questions.
Nigeria is a federating state with each state having autonomy to develop the state and improve the standard of lives of the citizens of the state.

Your state should first be discussed before talking about the FG.

How has your state impacted you, the state and the country?

Prior to his (ASIWAJU) assumption into the office of governor in Lagos State in 1999, he constituted a “Transition Working Group” to look into the health situation in the state. Some of those which constitute a model list of achievements in ASIWAJU’s dispensation in first quater include:

1) Control of HIV / AIDS primarily via the Lagos State AIDS Control Agency (LSACA)

2) Roll Back Maleria Programme – Free Maleria treatment, distribution of ITNs etc.

3) National Programme on Immunization

4) School health Programme

5) Control of Tuberculosis DOTS regimen.

6) Hospital based 24 hours free emergency services (LASEMS)

7) Pre hospital ambulance service accessed from the 123 emergency hot lines (LASAMBUS)

cool Marine Rescue Unit.

9) Drug Quality Control Laboratory

10) Task Force on Counterfeit, Fake drugs and Unwholesome Processed Foods.

11) Private Hospital Registration Authority

12) Free Health Programme

13) Blindness prevention Programme

14) State Environmental health monitoring Unit

15) Rural health ambulance boat Service.

16) Drug Manufacturing Unit

17) Continuing Medical Examination Programme.

18) Completion of the abandoned hospital projects at Akodo and Igando

19) The Eye Clinic, LASUTH

20) Rehabilitation of two blocks at the Lagos Island Maternity Hospital. Tinubu converted the Ikeja general hospital into LASUTH (Lagos State University Teaching Hospital) and it became a standard for other hospitals across the country, he also built additional 49 primary healthcare centers across the state and refurbished 9 of them. He upgraded 5 hospitals in different local governments into general hospitals and equipping them. Healthcare access was free for children below 16 and adults above 60 and free surgical sessions for many children. Tinubu also made it easier for private sector investments in healthcare and that translated to having more private hospitals in Lagos to meet the rising populations.

"What I did not know, which came out glaringly later, was his parental background which was somewhat shadowy, his propensity to corruption, his tendency to disloyalty, his inability to say and stick to the truth all the time,a propensity for poor judgment, his belief and reliance on marabouts , his lack of transparency, his trust in money to buy his way out on all issues and his readiness to sacrifice morality, integrity, propriety truth and national interest for self and selfish interest"

Politics › Re: Time To Arrest Bola Tinubu Is Now! by Ttalk: 2:59pm On Feb 17, 2023
owobokiri:
Enough should be enough!

State policies are made to move a state forward and not to dance to the whims and caprices of a delusional elite. Countries make laws to improve their collective circumstances and to further the interest of the teaming majority in any given society, not to massage the ballooning ego of an inebriated agbadorian numbskull. Nigeria can not be an exception. With the well orchestrated mayhem going on around Lagos and environs, it is starting to look like the Bola Ahmed Tinubus plank in the APC, are determined to truncate our hard fought democracy in their mindless and wayward pursuit of ultimate power.

Nigerians are not captives in their own country!

While there is an obvious need for The CBN to act more pragmatically in the prosecution of the government policy on Naira redesign, rampaging kleptomaniacs and tribal turncoats dressed in fake patriotic garbs, should not be allowed to hyjack the narrative in other to skew events in ways that will only favor their diabolical intentions. Citizens should be on the alert to avoid being hoodwinked by a coterie of power hungry drug cartel members, masquerading as emergency saviors.. Vermins and vampires can not save any nation.

This country is not for sale!

It is a damning testament to the abysmal situation of Nigerias checkered politics that at this stage of our national evolution, Nigerians are being forced to choose between the frying pan and fire. If not for the emergence of Peter Obi under the Labour Party, the political class would have succeeded in saddling the presidency of this nation with either of the two highly compromised characters running for the presidency under The APC and The PDP. This is the height of evil. The fact that one of them felt so entitled to thunder that "it's my turn", only goes to show how audacious, grand evil can be if left unchecked..

Security agencies should meet fire with fire!

I hereby urge all the security agents saddled with the onerous duty of protecting life and property while safeguarding the territorial integrity of the state, to be decisive and ruthless in dealing with Tinubus urchins in and around Lagos! Anyone of his Awawa boys and One million boys, who tries to breach the peace should be decisively dealt with. This country must be ready to crush another attempt to foul the political atmosphere with all sorts of putrid NADECO outbursts! National policies are meant for everyone in any given society. Eternal parasites should NEVER attempt to cherry pick which policies to obey and the one to confront.

Once again, the federal government should quickly arrest one Bola Tinubu. At almost 90 years, he is becoming nothing but a public nuisance in our political space! His mindless and desperate pursuit of raw power is now about to push a country of over 200 million people off the cliff. He and his political cohorts and tribal henchmen have been heating up the polity for months, as if we owe them. Lives are being lost, properties are being destroyed and businesses ruined. These fake riots should be the last strike that broke the Camels back!

Buhari should arrest the Irigbaji irritant now!!!
They would first arrest your parents who are enablers of ESN and UGM.

The blood those being killed in SE is upon you and your generations

I'm telling you. The northerners are collecting and spending the old note, it us the Southerners living in the north that are rejecting the old note.

In the end, each state government in the North will provide a channel where they collect the citizen money and help them deposit it with the Central bank branch in their state in exchange of new note and return to the people without any charges.

That should be the role of a responsible government, lets see how the state branch CBN won't honour the state government to swap the currency.

In all Tinubu wins. Every northerners now see Tinubu as the only candidate that would allow them spend their old note
