Where in my post did I say minors were deported alone? I said they will be deported with their parents if they were being deported as illegals. The UK not deporting minors is on compassionate grounds not because they are legal and while some are able to regularise, many usually have issues later on. Anyway where in the UK do you stay? Shymm3x: |
Now we would have had a dialogue if your response started from the "In my post" line from your post below and not with stfu and all the other stuff you said. Now regarding those Children aged 1-7, because you are a minor does not make you a legal immigrant in the UK. Even if the child is born in the UK and none of his parents are either citizens or permanent residents that child is not a UK citizen and can be deported with his family. There are ofcourse cases where the UKBA will apply leniency in some cases due to circumstances but that does not mean because a child is a minor he cannot be deported, if his family is being deported then he will to. Secondly you say people in the UK who naturalize as citizens can be deported if they commit an offence. While that is a power the Home secretary has, it has only been used 37 times so far and mostly in the case of citizens who get involved in terrorism etc. It is for cases where there are very serious consequences to the person being or returning to the UK. I do agree however that it is different for people on permanent residences who commit crimes, the type of crime and length of imprisonment can bar you from getting citizenship from a few years to forever and even in some cases be deported. My point is when they applied for and received LPR status they were made aware of the conditions which they accepted, and also this is not peculiar to the UK. Even in the US the likes a criminal record can derail application to stay in the country. Now if you disagree with anything I posted above feel free to come back with a rebuttal about why you think I a wrong without any insults. I don't know it all and same with you so through dialogue we learn from each other. Also you keep saying you doubt I have never been to the UK. How do you know that? Shymm3x: |
Well I guess you can tell I have never lived there and know nothing. As I said it's a public forum and you posted in an open forum about a topic everyone is commenting on. I disagree with your post and mentioned why hence no need for insults. You can always post back why you disagree with me. It's called dialogue and if you have lived in the UK and know all about it like you claim you will know how to have a matured conversation with people. Shymm3x: |
And what is the ignorant crap may I ask? In a public forum when someone posts something you disagree with you make your point as a matured adult instead of resorting to insults. Shymm3x: |
Are you done with the insults? Shymm3x: |
While it is shame, we need to be honest and admit being in the UK for however long does not make you a legal immigrant. Let's call a spade a spade and stop putting emotions into it. They are the responsibility of the Nigerian government not the UK government. Also this does not only apply to Nigerians but all illegal immigrants including non EU European countries so all the posts about UK hating Nigeria is ridiculous. Shymm3x: |
Do you really believe all your wrote there? You make it sound like Putin is a saint RevDesmondJuju: |
This is just a load of rubbish. Saw the article and it was funny how people were thanking God lol. Commonwealth does not allow you stay in a country illegally and besides the UK is not targeting Nigerians but all illegal immigrants so this woman calling it genocide is ridiculous. |

My earliest memories of Nigeria Airways is with the green livery as well but if you look closely near the front of the plane it says Nigeria Airways. damton: |
He cannot apply for H1b visa, only a company who employs him can apply on his behalf which means he needs to get a job with a company willing to sponsor him first. I wouldn't even go into the difficulty of getting the visa assuming he gets an employer with the issue annual limits which are not enough for the number of applicants. dorisuncle: |
I totally agree and imagine him insulting another candidates looks with the way he looks. Lol I don't even see the Republican party rallying around Trump so you are right he is just after the attention. What do you do when you are a bored billionaire? Run for president to gain attention by saying ridiculous things. Lol Lucasbalo: |
He already lost when he called Mexicans and Latina rapists. Ioannes: |
The UK will not and can not deport legal immigrants. The deportation policy is for illegal immigrants. And it is not targeted at Nigerians alone but all illegal immigrants even those from non EU European countries. Even if you are American and illegal in the UK you will face deportation so let's stop acting like it's a witch hunt against Nigeria. victorazy: |
What has deporting illegal immigrants have to do with treating Nigerians well? acunon: |
Just a point of correction, America did not shift their oil purchase from nigeria to Iran, they became net exporters of oil due to shale and had no need to buy as much as they used to. Iran has not even started exporting oil yet as the sanctions are still in process of being lifted. The impact of extra oil from Iran has yet to hit and the likes of Nigeria, Venezuela etc will feel it the most because Saudi Arabia will continue to pump oil out at lower prices to maintain market share in anticipation of when oil prices will recover which I don't think it will, at least not to the heights of over $100 a barrel. BTW the fall in oil prices is affecting all oil companies globally not just Nigeria. Many of the oil majors are either suspending or cancelling expansion projects due to falling demand. Yksoul: |
Fell in love on twitter got me cracking lol. I get what you and slimmy are saying. As I said from my perspective if they already have a straightforward case I would rather go through the normal straightforward process, but as you said things are tight from Nigeria so maybe overstaying and applying makes more sense. It's the poster's call. lordoftherings: |
Ok oh I get you. Personally I prefer at with forward process but it's up to the poster. Another option is to apply for fiancée visa for the partner, get married in the U.S. And apply for green card which is also straightforward but if poster is comfortable with overstaying B1 visa to apply then she can. slimmy05: |
Overstaying your B1 visa to get married and apply for a green card complicates your application as this increases the chances of USCIS thinking your marriage is fraudulent. I don't see why he should overstay his visa and cause unnecessary complications when he can simply return to Nigeria and apply through a more straightforward process and be back within a year. The more complicated your case the higher the chances you need a lawyer. They would not need a lawyer if he returns to Nigeria and his case is straightforward, but complicating it by over staying is not advisable and may require use of a lawyer if the USCIS come up with issues. slimmy05: |
He should go back to Nigeria while you file. As spouse of citizen filing will be quicker under one year. If he stays back he will go out if status and can cause issues when filing and you will end up spending lots of money on lawyers compared to the straightforward case with him in Nigeria. It doesn't matter of he marries in Nigeria or US, but court wedding better as legally accepted. slimmy05: |
Wise words and I totally agree especially about the opportunity for our kids. Let them have the opportunity to soar to the skies. Goldenboy007: |
When you apply make sure you mention that you can already been issued an F1 visa, and if successful with new application your F1 will be cancelled. You have not committed any offence by not using the visa. At the most they ask why you didn't use it and you explain e.g. you got a good job offer which you couldn't refuse. MsGlobalwonder: |
Hope, you are definitely Nigerian lol. On a serious note, you are right... the key is IF we get things right. TonyeBarcanista |
There are quite a few factions fighting in Syria. From a super power perspective, the attached picture should give some insight into the conflicting objectives of the US, Russia, Iran etc. Regarding who is ISIS and Assad's enemies, this started after the Assad government started cracking down on protesters during the Arab spring. The crackdown led to some Syrians breaking away from the Syrian army to form the free Syrian movement against Assad who took power after his father died after ruling for 30 years. That's one faction who the US support. Then you have Al Queda who started fighting in Syria as they felt Assad was targeting Sunni Muslims. The Al Queda group in Syria split away to form ISIS - Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. Then you hezbollah also involved as well as the Kurds who have always felt ostracised. As you can see its not as simple as kill them all, they are all ISIS. Appleyard:

Haha me too. What happened to her? Hope she is doing fine. Funjosh: |
Your question what is the difference between ISIS and Syrian rebels is like me asking for opponents to military rule in Nigeria back in the days to be wiped out. It's easy to sit back in peace and type that but will you say the same if you were living under such autoritarean rule? And no i do not support everything America has done which is why I said it's the ordinary Syrians who will suffer the most. tundebaba234: |
For all those praising Putin, remember he also has his agenda which is to keep his fiend Assad in power and maintain Russian influence in the region. Everyone of the super powers involved here have their agenda and the elimination of ISIS unfortunately is secondary to that. What pains me the most is it's the ordinary Syrians who will suffer the mot not Russians or Americans. One thing I worry the most about with Putin's arrogance of firing missiles across countries air space such as Iran etc is one little mistake and he can trigger a war. Imagine if an Isreali, Turkish or Iranian jet or city is mistakenly hit, what do you thin will happen? Very dangerous games he is playing. While it is easy to say Putin is taking action against ISIS etc, the question is is he really taking action against ISIS or against opponents to Assad? For those saying they admire Putin etc, be careful who you wish to be. Edit: I just saw this article about Turkey shooting down a Russian jet. It's not confirmed and I hope it's not true as it could quickly spiral out of control. Imagine it was true and Russia retaliate and Turkey retaliate and it just spreads. http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/611157/Russia-Turkey-jet-plane-shot-down-airspace-Syria-ISIS-Islamic-State |
And taking a one off $100k guarantees you financial success for the rest of your life? What happens when the $100 finishes which we know it will in the hands of some? Also those on $150k now may have prospects for increased over the years which is why I said all depends on your circumstances and where you are in life. Besides maybe aside NYC and the likes of LA, if you cannot save the you are living above your means pure and simple. If you earn $100k which is near $6k after tax you can live a good life and save. Nothing stops you from acquiring a property e.g. every 3-5 years and renting it out so the rent pays the mortgage. If you cannot manage $100k in most affordable cities in America then why do you think your one off $100k in Nigeria is the solution? This also needs to be seen in light of the persons situation e.g. a young person about 30 years already on $100k has a lot more upswing than a 50 year old on $100k who is at his peak. Will someone in position to get a green card and can practice in the US as a doctor for 30 years rather take a one off $100k? All depends on his situation, how he views his prospects, his goals and dreams. ayodele234: |
NY will be very cold in January hence I advise LA. LA also has more outdoor activities and fun. WebSurfer: |
