Politics / Re: Abacha’s Was Best Govt Nigeria Had – Arthur Eze by tundewoods(m): 8:31pm On Dec 23, 2009
The honest truth about Nigeria is that things have continually deteriorated with the passing years and it doesn't take a child to know that things have gone  from bad to worse from Abacha's regime to Obasanjo to the present Yardua style of " rule in absentia " .

The simple logic about Abacha's regime was that he practiced what we can tag as " Solo Corruption " which enabled him to amass so mush wealth contrary to what we have today where we have a collection of civilian thieves which comprises of Executive , Legislative & other departments.

Lets face it i think Abacha's regime was and is indeed better  undecided

Family / How To "Properly" Beat Your Wife by tundewoods(m): 12:58pm On Dec 20, 2009

Now sincerely this should be the most ridiculous youtube video subject i may have come across all my life.
No hard feelings but i feel religion a times is responsible for gender in equality. Haba ! how can a cleric even advocate touching a woman in the first place.

Been married for a few years now and the thought of even raising my had against my wife sounds clumsy not to even mention "Properly Beating Her"

Dating And Meet-up Zone / Re: The Beer Parlour by tundewoods(m): 4:01pm On Dec 17, 2009
While hanging out with some of my friends who went to drink out in a bar in Abuja,I joked about the look at the new label on the Guiness extra stout which had the bold NFF brand inscription which says" OFFICIAL DRINK OF THE SUPER EAGLES"

Quickly one of my friends who was dirty high after about 7 bottles, grabbed the bottle to take a closer look and shouted in disgust of the Guiness brand said " NO WONDER THESE EAGLES PERFORM SO POORLY"

Man my guy don dey like whale, Na only bar them go hear that kin one .
Romance / Re: Women, Why Do You Allow Men Get Away With So Much? by tundewoods(m): 2:05pm On Dec 17, 2009
Some of you know your man is cheating on you but you won't dare say a word to him because you "love him." Instead, all you do is hate the girl he's cheating with. You'll hurt another woman over a damn guy who doesn't give a poo about you and just wants the goodies.

We have got to do better.

@ Poster
Let me ask you some candid questions to get a better perception regarding your question.

First and foremost are you married ? Secondly if you are married, Are you talking from experience ? In the sense that were you forced to tolerate a cheating husband ? My last but not the least question goes as thus. Is your topic raised as a result of the "Tiger Woods Saga" ?

Now while i await your responses to these questions. Let me give you my sincere opinion regards your thread topic. I've been married for a little over 2 years and from my own point of view, women are not compelled or mandated to stand, tolerate or live with a cheating spouse. But it all boils down to weighing the consequences of the immediate actions you decide to take.

From a Nigerian's point of view,Divorce as an option due to infidelity may look like laughable reason to run to your lawyers to fight for a divorce, either way be it from the husband or the wife's point of view. Lets face it ,there are so much one weights when it comes to going or a divorce or getting seperated. Most cases the future of the children is the biggest factor as well as the vows " For Better For Worse" that you folks took infront of the congregation during your wedding. Other factors such as " Single parent / Divorcee Phobia " not sets in and etc,

My point is when it comes to infidelity in marriage, women are not compelled to tolerate it,but you have to do things sensibly and weight your actions,

So give it a thought girl friend. Marriage is full of ups and downs,  thats what makes it fun.

Politics / Re: Aero Contractor Airlines Now Sell Snacks On Board Flight, Due Economic Meltdown. by tundewoods(m): 2:34pm On Dec 16, 2009
@ Topic

I flew aero about a month ago and was shocked to face the reality that i was going to have to pay for my own snacks on board of the plane on my way to abuja from Lagos. But lets be realistic. This is what we call the freedom of choice and decision. I believe its not mandatory that we fly by aero and if the yardstick of choice is now the fact that they sell their snacks on board. I guess the individual has the choice of not flying by aero next time.

As for me as an individual,i find it funny and interesting to discover this new thread but to face facts i dont think it would stop me flying with them next time.

I love the freedom of choice they offer me to book my tickets ahead at cheaper rates online and for me service comes first. If mean business i will carry along my take away food and in fact bring extra to vend on board and give them (AREO) a run for their money . grin

Music/Radio / Re: Album Review-tradition-9ice by tundewoods(m): 1:52pm On Dec 16, 2009
@ Tradition review

Lets face it concerning the recently released tradition album. I know expectations may have been extremely high for 9ice to surpass his sophomore album Gongo Aso. But to be honest i knew deep inside that was going to be an impossible task to deliver.

As it may seem, its still relatively too early to judge the album in terms of acceptability. I've tried hard to make a point regards differentiating between beat makers and producers here in Nigeria. And one thing is obvious what we have mainly in this part of the world are what i called beat makers, Terry G, ID Cabasa, Dr Fabbs and the likes.

You may ask what this has to do with the review right ? Well the fact is 9ice kind of music is quite similar to that of Asa in genre and to be frank his album did lack to touch of real producers in terms of mixing and final production. To be candid i expected the 9nice and Asa collaboration to have been a live intrument recording but as usual another beat maker churns out beats from fruity loops and cu base for them lay their vocal tracks on.

I bitterly admit that the tradition album may still be far from his prophetic grammy award winning album but on an average may gradually gain momentum and in return street credibility.

Politics / Re: Plolice Issues International Arrest Warrants For El-rufai And Ribadu by tundewoods(m): 8:37pm On Dec 10, 2009
Now this should be a laughable statement being issues by our beloved Nigerian Police Force. Or please correct me if i am wrong,is it not the same Nigerian Police Force that Amnesty International accused of grievious human rights abuses such as extra judicial kills at will.

Please lets face more serious issues than taking this so called Interpol Warrant of Arrest for Ribadu & El Rufai seriously. We all know that the our NPF is nothing but Hounds of witch hunting,
Family / Re: Who's More Important In A Marriage? The Husband Or The Kids? by tundewoods(m): 2:05pm On Dec 10, 2009
@ Poster
Interesting topic, but i must confess that quite insufficient yard sticks or parameters to understand the comparison

Here is an open question i would like to ask. What are your yard sticks for the comparison ? Is it a life and death scenario ? Where you are left with a choice of saving either your husband or child(ren) ?

Now the simple answer to this question lies on the premium importance that you place on your choice ? To some women as earlier mentioned by a poster, their husbands may as well be invaluable as their child or children. To some others reverse may be the case and to others they love both husband and children both dearly. But fact is that such comparisons are mare childish considering the role both play in our lives as parents and married adults.

So from both a parent and married adult perspective, the honest answer is both are valuable and for goodness sake lets stop comparing except you know you are married to an invaluable spouse !!!  undecided

@poster

You know what my opinion is? If this isn't a joke at all, then in one silent corner of your mind you had always believed in a jesus, or a god, or a holi cow. Your previous tirades had always been to get back at something torturing you deep inside. Why, so it is absolutely no strange thing that you should revert back to what had always been an old order for you. You have merely gone back (and not started anew as a born-whatever xtian, as you would have us believe). people or atheists like you are many all over the globe. While some talk of some theistic, overwhelming, spiritual experience a la Anthony Flew, some talk of outright conversion a la Paul (who became Saul). It boils down to one thing, you guys are all deluded in the first place and had never believed anything!!
Don't bore me with your story, cos it changes nothing. Why you hadn't believed so long in this jesus, is the question am asking; not why you have suddenly converted to "theism"
Has it ever occured to you why it was jesus you chose? I'll tell u. Because you have always chosen him. When you go into mediation again some time, please come out believing in Islam or Mohammed or Zarathustra or Confucius; that would be much more appealing/credible!!

@ sauer

Again this thread will keep growing in size due to folks like you who are hell bent on making this a propaganda driven conversion.
Lets face it, our guy seems to have chosen to thread a new path and the honest truth is that its only right path believe it or not, grin grin grin

I dont easily get convinced with products or services claims when it come to adverts. But as i am getting older i seem to get convinced about some products and services especially consumer goods but certainly not by services offered by Telecom or Internet Operators or Banking Sector.
