Good morning all. Plz has anyone assessed HND and pgd in engineering before. What is the likely outcome. Your response (s) will be highly appreciated
In most cases, it’s always engineering technologist not a professional engineer. Which occupation/Anzsco code are you nominating?

Thanks for the reply. What about if the Job description of the job titles are strongly interwoven??
This is at the sole discretion of the assessing body to confirm as long as the job descriptions relate to the occupation being nominated.

oh sorry. But Tax clearance certificate can only be issued for the most recent 3 years that is 2018, 2019 and 2020.

Do you have salary bank account?

Maybe you discuss with the company. I don't think you need to assess your work experience though but you need the documents to show DHA as part of proof of work experience.
Assessing work experience is compulsory for everyone. DHA does not handle the work experience part any longer. The application will be put on hold while the applicants gets a positive assessment from EA.

Hello everyone, please I have some concerns that require the input of experts in the house. I have gotten a positive assessment with EA for Telecom Engineer. However, I have not assessed my years of experience because of the complexity of the process. I only got payslips and an employment letter but I can't get tax clearance or pension slip from the Nigeria company. Although, the company is willing to pay for all those years, but I am concern it will not reflect the years(2013-2018) as it will just be paid this year. Please what can I do?
@bellong
@tunlex01
EA needs at least the pension or tax for assessment.
Since the company has agreed to pay for the 5 years, let them pay and obtain receipt in your name. Get those receipts confirmed from the state IRS. Thereafter, the company should issue you a signed letter (separate from the reference letter) indicating that they just paid the overdue taxes for you because you need it to process this visa.

Bro, yes initially i felt so but it changed because there is a lot of truth to it. I have seen how tricky australia process is. The conditions are much, Infact what people say is these days usually people with 90 points only above get invited

My B.tech degree(applied geophysics is from FUTA and its 5 years. PGD (enterpreneurship development) is just one year and almost irrelevant because i dont know how they will evaluate a Diploma...but its the closest degree to my occupation (marketing specialist or analyst) i have 4 years post graduation work experience already and if its not enough i will wait 1 more year hopefully my occupation is still needed then

I am still very much talking the advice you gave me for canada. However i will still try aussie when i get much more concrete information.

Thank you for responding properly to me, I'm sure no one takes the help you provide her for granted
You have a good chance of getting a positive assessment because FuTA is a tier 1 university. I’d advise you provide the transcript for your first degree and pgd.
You don’t have to wait for one year to get more experience as the 4 years is enough
When your assessment result comes out and you are approved of say 4.9 years, as long as you are still in that same job, you can continue to claim the months/years after. Which means after 3 months, your years of experience will be automatically 5 years. So you don’t need to wait.

Hi, if a family of 2 wants to relocate to Australia, is it best to use an agent or otherwise,
2. How much should they have in their account before relocating?
1. Using agent is dependent on the type of visa you are processing.
2. No one can give you an estimate without full information

I finished my MBA in 2015, I also have a professional Diploma in Public Relations from the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations
Great!
You can assess then with your MBA.
You should be able to get at least 5 years approved from 2015.
Get your documents and start the process. You should also send your ND, HND and MBA transcripts so it reduces the number of years to be deducted.

Remember you said i dont qualify. i just found out i do.
please watch this video from registered immigration consultants in australia

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhoQyqYkaWI

i even went to vetesass in charge of marketing evaluation and read the rules i qualify for everything.

Now i am wondering why you discouraged me? because as long as i can prove all the work experience to be at least 3 years post graduation and at least 1 year after my second degree i qualify. this is because i have a second degree related to my occupation.

But if not related again what i need is 5 years work experience randomly and at least 1 year relevant degree to have positive assessment.

also just heard they rarely do deductions as before.

Anyway please check so you don't further discourage others
So sorry you felt I discouraged you. That was not the intention.
The intention was for you not to waste your funds.
Your Btech, which university is that from and how many years was the course for?
I still repeat that PgD is not Masters and VETASSES does not interchange both of them.
As regards the video you referred me to, that’s just a general information and more so, most Asian first degrees (Indian precisely) are regarded as a Bachelor degree AQF even when they are 3/4 years. It’s just the way their education is also regarded so it may not apply when an Indian consultant who doesn’t know how Nigerian qualifications are ranked in the AQF. Vetassess rules are slightly different as there are AQF Associate or Bachelors degree which Vetassess follows to the latter.
I believe you have read the information sheet for your occupation. That’s the same way it’s written for most other occupations too especially level 1 occupations.
You heard that Vetassess does not do deduction and I can tell you for free, they still do. Individual qualifications, graduation year and the level of occupation if it’s 1, 2, or 3 also play major roles in the assessment outcome.
Respond to the bolded and good luck in your application

Do we have any chance for the Australian PR?
.
You only stated your highest degree not your experience nor the years you graduated for the degrees
Web developer is a level 1 occupation assessed by ACS. It’s only available for 190 and 491.
Read about those two visa subclass as well.
At the moment, getting a 189 for offshore applicants is far-fetched though still reachable however other visa subsclass like the 491 can also get you in.

It was a 4 year course from IMSU. However, she intends adding her Masters in Public health which she completed in Australia.
Even if she add her MSc, Vetassess only considers experience after qualification.
If her first degree was from a tier 1 uni or 5 years ago, those years would have been approved.
Does she have any experience in Quality assurance after her Masters?

M.Sc Geoengineering.

If the occupation you select is related to your experience and qualification and you have a positive assessment, you may be eligible for PR or 491 visa.
You didn’t state the occupation you have experience in and the one you are nominating

@tunlex and other gurus in the house.

Please I need to really understand it.art administrator is a tier 1 occupation which needs a AQF level equivalent qualification but it's also stated that 5 or more years in the skilled occupation can substitute for AQF.
Does it mean if I have more years in the needed occupation without AQF .I'll have positive assessment?
Having an AQF Bachelor’s degree is important. If you don’t have that, I’d advise you don’t go for a level 1 occupation. Vetassess in recent times does not deduct 5 years anymore from applicant’s years of experience

I have B tech in Elect Elect. 35yrs of age.
Eights years plus experience as an electrical engr in a state ministry.
Also coren registered but don't know if it ll help.
Married but going alone for now
Yet to do IELTS but hopefully in the next three months and aiming for 8.
What are my chances. I did the scoring I got 75 in the 189 category and 85 in the 491 category.
I have gone thru the website u gave but don't seem to av a headway. How do I get to that aspect of seeing those im competing with?
I also found out I'm to be accessed by EA. Pls what is the financial implications of this assessment?

I would really be grateful for replies. God bless us all.
You seem to have a good profile. Hopefully you are able to get 8 in IELTS...that’s a huge feat to achieve which is why most go for PTE.
Recheck your scoring, the difference between 189 and 491 is 15 points not 10 points.
The assessing process and cost for Electrical engineer are available on the EA website.
Technician occupations also have availability than the main engineering roles. You may also want to consider Electrical engineering technician assessed by TRA.

Quality assurance is a level 1 occupation.
AQF level is also important asides from the job descriptions and organogram especially with level 1 occupations.

There is no standard format.

Good morning to everyone one here, I am new here but I’ve gone through this thread a bit and I must commend your good works of helping each other out.

I have just decided to move to Australia with my husband and 1 child. I have a bachelor and masters degree in Architecture and I am also licensed to practice the profession in Nigeria. And I am also 31 years of age.

I would have loved to try for PR through the Skilled independent visa but one of the conditions of that visa is that the applicant must not be married hence the education route.

My question now is Most of the universities offering courses I can Upskill with are very expensive, so I’m looking at TAFES, but the diplomas seem like a downgrade to my already existing qualifications, will this in anyway affect my study VISA application also considering my age and what are the chances of subsequently getting PR after completing the program.

Hopefully awaiting advice on this matter
That marriage information is false. There is no condition as such for skilled migration visa.
You can still go for the skilled migration program if you have good years of experience

First, I can't find in the thread if one would need to prove experience in the claimed profession. Is experience needed?

Secondly, my Master's Degree is in Economics but years of experience in Accounting. Since Account in is very competitive in Australia, can I apply as an Economist (don't have any prove of experience as an Economist)?.

Thanks
If you don’t have experience as an Economist, you can’t assess for such occupation as Vetassess requires at least 1 year experience in nominated occupation.
Your job descriptions must be that of an Economist role to get a positive assessment
