Politics › Re: Nigeria’s Food Cheapest In West Africa, Say Governors by U09ce: 9:29am On Feb 06, 2024
Read the statement fully before commenting. What he meant was that neighboring countries come to Nigeria to mop up our grains. So, more demand and supply hasn't really improved. Again, the foreign guys have FX and are willing to pay a higher price. I think the FG needs to regulate what foreigners buy until we have excess production

Politics › Re: Surulere Bye-election: INEC Declares Fuad Laguda (APC) As Winner by U09ce: 9:54pm On Feb 03, 2024
What happened to the opposition parties? None scored up to 500. May be they didn't field good candidates, may be they were suppressed, may be they didn't push their supporters to vote. Else, I see no reason a PDP or LP getting such paltry votes.
Romance › Re: Reasons Hauza Fulani Girls Don't Do Premarital Sex by U09ce:
Some people are just spewing misrepresentations here. What you should tell us is what percentage of a sample size of northern Muslims in premarital sex?Just because you go and corrupt girls during NYSC doesn't mean that it applies elsewhere.
Islam acknowledges the innate sex drive in adolescents, thus recommends marriage as soon as one is capable. That's how the menace of promiscuity is drastically reduced. As with sample sizes, you'll find outliers who defy norms. They go their way and do what they like. But even at that, they don't gloat about it like it happens in the south..
A southerner told me that it's difficult to get a Virginia worthy of marriage in his region. The reason is not far to fetch--fornication is not a taboo. We see how potential suitor impregnates his fiancee even before marriage. I don't think even pristine Christianity supports that. But, everyone know that it's a norm.
There's a reason why many northern school-going females are married off while in tertiary institution. Because that's where they are more susceptible to fornication owing to freedom. But sadly in the south, it's the other way round. Ladies camp at the rooms of guys offcampus and commit all sorts of atrocities. All what I wrote can be verified from those who went to southern schools. It happens in some northern schools, but in a much smaller scale.

This advice is even more poignant today, due to plethora of issues that come with fame. A century ago, no living person will have tens of millions of people as fans. But due to technological advancement, a billion people can keep tab in the life of one individual.

50b in one year? That can't be correct. In 2023, JAMB for cost 4700 Naira. For the purported 50b revenue, you must have 10m candidates. And we don't have that.
Prof Oloyede is a great man. A seasoned administrator and a game changer.

Politics › Re: The Horror I See From Birni Gwari To Kaduna by U09ce: 1:43pm On Jan 31, 2024
That's a terrible experience. May God protect us all.
Just a lil correction - Birnin Gwari is not in southern Kaduna, it is in the Kaduna Central senatorial zone. It's terrain makes it difficult to manage, because it is situated in a forest blet which connects to Niger, Katsina, Zamfara, Sokoto..It is this particular belt that is the hot-spot of banditry to this day. Before the advent of banditry, the roads to B/G have been notorious for armed robbery. Cattle rustling was prevalent, too. Their predicament has cut them off from development. No banks operate there. Civil servants reject postings there. Govt rarely run projects there, because no official wants to risk their life.
During the campaigns, BAT promised to tame the ugly trend. Now that he's at the helm, we await to see action.

RichDaniels:
This is how they've deceived you to thinking nonsense. You do not need an Act or a Bill to create an agency or parastatal of the government, insofar as their budget would be managed by another department. We have the ministry of transportation, what do they do? Can't they create an agency under him to achieve this purpose?
Hehe.Bros, Agencies and parastatals must be backed by an Act. Even universities are not exempt.
Politics › Re: Senate Passes Sen Ashiru's Bill To Establish National Road Transport Council by U09ce:
This bill is long awaited. How logical is it that the most patronised transport sector(road ) is largely unregulated! The aviation industry has NCAA, maritime has NIMASA and NIWA but road transport has nothing. Commercial road transporters should be certified before they are allowed to haul passengers and goods. Tonnage of trailers and tankers should be regulated.

Politics › Re: The 37-Member Committee On Minimum Wage Setup By FG by U09ce: 9:14am On Jan 29, 2024
To me, this is just optics. So far as the current economic challenges are not tamed, the little gains of a new minimum wage will be eroded in few months. Let's assume the new wage will be 100k. The earliest implementation date will be towards the second half of the year. And based on the current deterioration of the Naira, the exchange rate will be more than 1500 by then. It'll just be like giving with the right hand and collecting with the left.

Thanks for sharing the link. However, this is not the Hisbah commander. He reportedly oversees a particular territory. More like comparing a CP and DPO. The guy has a bad egg just like every public organisation have theirs. I'm sure he must have been prosecuted if he was found wanting.

We shouldn't throw away the baby with the bath water. Rather, we get rid of the irritants.
Romance › Re: They Will Be Insulting Northern Men Marrying Teenagers While Defiling by U09ce: 10:01am On Jan 28, 2024
On this platform, many monikers have admitted sleeping with female teens during their posting as NYSC teachers. It's same promiscuous fellas who aren't ashamed to defile small girls that will turn around criticise a northern young girl married off at 17. This is what I call transparent hypocrisy
Crime › Re: Kano Hisbah Arrests 52 Tricycle Riders For ‘Immoral Haircuts’ by U09ce: 9:43am On Jan 28, 2024
This is a laudable move. It's such little things that accumulate to bedevil the society in few years. I know some states in south where the young adults abhor toiling to make a living. They prefer Internet scams etc. The day the bubble would burst, everyone there will be affected

It is two way. Both muslims and christians are perpetrators. Christians are also killing unarmed muslims in same place. Both of them wrong and should be prosecuted.

It's unfortunate. However, it's the muslims that are the biggest victims in this pogrom. When the christians were butchering muslims, you'll never see it on the FP. But if it's the other way round, it quickly finds a place atop FP. The mods should be fair

The guys killing each other are neighbours living in same area for decades. The conflict is complex. It's most ethnic in the first instance, before it metamorphoses to religious. If you're not familiar with the conflict, it's better you keep quiet until you research the facts.

When both warring parties decide to embrace peace and harmony, that's the only time these killings will stop. For now, it appears they are not ready
