The whole thing is very painful I spent a total of 18 years obtaining all my certificates from BSc. to PhD. Plus almost 5 years of strike in total is inside, and one person would just go somewhere and within 2 months produce certificate,

That is why one will go look for a job and they would say must be 23years with 5 years experience, these are the people causing it
With this diction, I doubt this your PhD o

Not feasible. You can't go breaking your walls and tiles just to change pipes
PoliticsRe: Gov Sanwo-Olu & Speaker Abbas To Commission Projects Built By Femi Gbajabiamila by U09ce: 8:21am On Jan 02, 2024
For those asking about the source of funding, it is FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. Legislators engage in what is now called "budget padding". They insert constituency projects in the budgets of MDA, whether it's relevant to the entity or not. On the one, the practice is quite wrong because it deprives federal projects of the needed funding and makes state governments lazy to deliver their mandates. On the other hand, the legislator is looking for ways to please his constituents, in order to boost his political career.
In essence, it's a telling effect of the failure of Nigerian federalism. For many decades, governors have been stealing billions denying the citizens the basic amenities. The legislators discovered the gap and have now transformed "lexecutives" juggling both legislative and executive functions.

PoliticsRe: EFCC, 9 States Bicker Over N84.7bn Mismanaged From 13% Derivation Fund by U09ce: 10:56pm On Dec 31, 2023
I'm pretty sure some of the governors are planning to devour the funds. That was how they were collecting billions without doing much during Buhari, until Wike blew their cover. The problem of Niger Delta states is their state governors. How do you start to explain the backward status of oil rich Bayelsa state? Or the sluggish development of Delta state?
EducationRe: Nigerian Reporter Bags Cotonou University Degree in 6 Weeks by U09ce: 8:59pm On Dec 30, 2023
RepoMan007:
Stupid journalism. If giving a certificate in 6 wks make all west african schools mushroom, what do we say about Nigeria where you can have same without waiting for six weeks?

The speed with which these bastardized govt university elements generalize negativity against non-government owned schools is getting out of hand.
Why are you pained? Nigerian public schools have their shortcomings. But it's difficult to get certificate without attending. It's possible to have those who fake the certificate of others.
I have come across several Cotonou "graduates". Most of them know close to nothing in what they claimed to study. Afterall, most of them only opt for those universities either because they fail to cope in normal universities or they want to get a certificate within a short period.

They're different in composition. LPG contains propane and butane while CNG is largely methane.
PoliticsRe: Railway Debt Servicing Exceeds Revenue By 1,200% – Report by U09ce: 9:17am On Dec 28, 2023
This is nothing but capitalist thinking. It's the same argument one president will use in the future to push up prices citing "cost-reflective" bla bla". It is not everything that's monetary. Also, some benefits are not directly monetary. The railways have opened up new places, improved trade and provided employment. It is evident in major communities surrounding train stations e.g Kubwa, Rigasa, Moniya etc

PoliticsRe: Bye-Elections: APC Pegs Senatorial Forms At N20m, Reps N10m, State Assembly N2m by U09ce: 6:22am On Dec 26, 2023
We're just suffering ourselves practising this blend of democracy. There's no way someone will spend hundreds of millions to win elections and you expect him not to recover his costs. Add to that, the pressure from family, friends, community etc to get their share pushes the politician to steal the more. We can't eat our cake and have it

BusinessRe: FIRS Launches Digital Initiative To Include Informal Sector In Nigeria's Tax Net by U09ce: 4:02pm On Dec 22, 2023
"Monitoring their turnover to facilitate the collection and remittance of VAT to FIRS." Even formal entities you're not done monitoring their businesses and now you want start poke nosing into small businesses. I feel the informal sector should be handled by states and LG. Also, this might just be another tax burden.

PoliticsRe: Uplifting The Niger Delta: Urgent Call For Enhanced Budget Allocation by U09ce: 12:22am On Dec 17, 2023
I'm 100% sure that even if the budget allocation is doubled, nothing will change. The problem of Niger Delta is majorly the governors. Delta State and Bayelsa State received trillions of Naira in the last decade, but only a small chunk of it was utilised. I learnt that Warri is now a city of keke napeps.
The general populace have their problem too--they prefer monetary gestures to community development.
Ever since the NDDC was created, it has been led by a Niger Deltan. But each administratiion has been replete with corruption. Even the small chunk of money spent is skewed towards the non oil producing communities.
I hereby submit that Niger Delta problem is self inflicted. Let the citizens and leaders lean the Augean stable first, before going out to seek for more allocation

Its official! The Awujale of Ijebuland HRM Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona has formally conferred the title of Gbobaniyi Akile Ijebu on Malam Nasir.

He is privileged to be the first Nigerian outside of South-West of Nigeria to be conferred with a chieftaincy title by the Awujale in his nearly 64-year reign.
Elrufai, one of the very few Nigerians who when given responsibilities deliver to their utmost, not caring about whose ox is gored

I am currently facing this decision, I am really getting closer and just left with the method. There's no motivation or joy to keep leaving in this condition. I'm a burden to those around me
There's no point taking that route. Just have in your mind that tomorrow will be better. There are thousands of people who experienced even deeper depression but were able to emerge from it. If you are a muslim, frequent the mosque , relate with good people and minimise being alone. Go out and hustle or learn something. Keep praying

BusinessRe: GSK Quits Kenya 4 Months After Nigeria Exit by U09ce: 10:35pm On Dec 12, 2023
Chai. It's time for Africa to support its pharmacists on drug development and production. Emzor, Asad, M&B etc should expand their portfolio. It's appalling that 99% of Nigerian pharmacists work as drug dispensers-something that some illiterates learn the ropes in few years. Let's dust off those research in our universities and scale them up. I remember a Prof from ABU had developed an anti malarial called Herb 25. Such innovations must be spurred

This is the person APC supporters were praising as a performer, 100 million dollars is over 100 billion naira, he served 8 years as governor, where did he get all that money from, what were his businesses before he became governor?

Modified

He is not putting the whole 100 million dollars, he is putting in 2million dollars, however 2 million dollars is over 2 billion naira which is not small money either and also how are we not sure he will not use people to front in raising the remaining to divert attention away from himself.....
Go and do some research on who Elrufai was before he joined the public sector. Man was rich from a young age. I'm not insinuating that he's not got sth from the public till, neither can I confirm it. We work with what is obvious to everyone

Number Of Lunatics Has Increased In Lagos Due To Hardship Under Tinubu, Governor Sanwo-Olu — Economist, Rewane Laments

Bismark was one of the proponents of cost reflective prices of Petroleum products and full floating of Naira. Tinubu listened to his likes and did their bidding. And today they aren't even ashamed to turn around and blame same person. Economists are part of the people that have put this country in a mess-right from the SAP days to today. They'll just copy and paste from books or foreign lands. We need economists who know both our formal and informal sectors. We can't continue all these trial and error experiments

Muslims and hospitality are 5&6. Although in captivity, those hostages might have seen who the Gazans really are, not what's sold to them by their government and western media.
