slumbee: Curb/appeal/Power/washing in King $399 -BIN SV:Epik Dynadot ED HT: 5 days.
*Fun facts* I was sending out follow ups last night around 7pm ish and got like 4 'not interested please take me off your list'. I decided to shut down my laptop and thought Monday wasn't a good day for follow ups.
Woke up this morning to a Congratulatory message from Epik. Original price was $499, I forgot I adjusted the price to 399. I thought 499 was on the high side, looking back now 899 would have been appropriate.
Moral of the story? Iwo ma fo! Keep it pushing, consistency is the key in this game. Wonders of God! Congrats, bro. Regarding the bold, what gave you the impression you could have sold it for the higher price? This question is coming from someone that wouldn't have registered that particular domain if I saw it on ED. |

While the ogas dem dey post big big figures, make me sef no shame post my first sale this year. Name: Total/Plumbing/Service in king Price: 200 Type: Outbound HT: About 9 months I did a second follow-up for it last Friday and it sold on Saturday. Noticed that Total/Plumbing (in king) sold at the same time. I believe the same buyer bought the two - he owned Total/Plumbing (in .net). #GodWork #WeMove #WeGoGetThere |

ElonMosque: 1. I marketed a domain and the enduser asked if I had something for “stucco” or “roofing repairs”. Totally unrelated to the domain I marketed. So I brainstormed and also checked ED before getting the two domains.
2. Yes I lowered the prices. I got some offers here and there. I accepted and some paid. I’ve been doing just 2 follow ups and those follow ups are within 7 days. Most of my recent sales have been from recent purchases. Thanks! This is helpful. You wrote that you sent up to 400 emails for one of the domains. I hope you are not doing the follow-ups manually. Na serious work be that o. |

ElonMosque, e be like say you don dey go the way of your namesake o. A couple of questions, please: 1. Could you explain how the requested domains worked? Did they request and you formed or backordered them? 2. For names that sold in less than 10 days, I assume you lowered prices and followed up. How many times, on average, did you follow up? Thanks. |

ElonMosque: HOW DECEMBER WENT
Denver///InsuranceAgents $300 Within 7days
LasVegas///Remodeler $250 Within 2 weeks
Glendale///Remodeling $100 Within 7 days
StuccoContractor///Miami $150 (End-user request) & RoofingRepairs///Miami $150 (End user request) Within 3 weeks
Denver///LandscapeCompany $250 Within 7 days
Phoenix///GeneralContractors $150 8months+
Majorly YP leads. Mostly 2nd follow up. Mostly DAN marketplace.
January is looking better with $1598 so far.. Wow! That's some monstrous results! Congrats, man. You're doing very well. I hope I get to this stage someday. And to think I consider YP leads almost useless. I can't remember making a sale to leads I got from there - for about 40-50 cities. |

Sapiosexuality: Are you buying these Brandables is not the problem? I don't get why newbies will want to start with Brandables. It's not a safe ground. Even Geos are not easy to sell. Do you have any other names besides Brandables? Domaining is not just something you quit on. You can go on break, you can re-evaluate your journey and learning, but quiting, because of this reason, is not encouraging. Huh? |

Please I wish to have opinions on whether it helps (or compulsory) to include a phone number in email signature. I'm wondering if that may be a factor in why some sales don't go through. I have a Dingtone number, but I am reluctant to include it. Background noise around where I live could give me away if I were to be called unexpectedly; I can find a quiet place if I am the one calling. Also, there's the accent angle. I think a Nigerian number is a no-no, right? What to do? |

meetme01: Netsol is still okay. I have over 10domains there and sold 2 already. It's a matter of patience for 60days expiration. Some even sale before 60days expiration. Just ensure you reg good names and be hopeful for grace.
Yes, you pay the new registrar charges if you intend to move the domain to another after 60days lock and automatically you have renewed for a year.
More sales to us all It still beats me how Netsol manages to offer .coms below the registry price, especially when the vast majority will not renew there. |

PAWG: Lab tests Perhaps, you should mention some of these tests. And how many men "dare" ask their partners for such, especially if the ladies didn't ask either? If you asked, the lady also has a right to ask you to do tests. This is a concern for men that abstain from sex when confronted with such a request. These tests aren't as simple as drawing blood, especially as far as men are concerned. |

Does it mean i lost out on the said domain? Cos i checked through another platform and it shows that that name has been registered already If it's not showing under registered domains in your account, I am afraid someone else might have snapped it up, especially if it's a just-dropped domain name. I had a similar experience in the past when sourcing for surgeons' or medical specialists' contact information. SanThiago: Boss, I'm using epik for the first time. I just registered a domain name, the amount has been deducted from my bank balance but the domain is not appearing in my dashboard. The amount deducted from my acct is showing under "in store credit balances" in my dashboard.
I don't really understand this, should i be worried? It sounds like the money was deposited into your account instead of being used for a domain purchase directly. You can use that balance to pay for any purchases that it can cover, though. |

ollybode: I did a little research before I reg couple of .realty I have in my portfolio. So I already know the end users to pitch before I registered them. I sent the first batch of mails to all of them, fortunately the owner of homerunrealty.com showed interest by offering $125, I countered the offer to $350, he remains silence then I send him a follow up, to up his offer, he later offer $245 which I accepted.
I got good open rate on others but none signify interest, I just sent them a follow up promo emails a few minutes ago, hope something good will come out of it. All in all, with that single sale I have more than 100% roi on my collections of .realty and I hope I will be able to sell one or two before renewal. .realty renewal is so costly am not thinking of renewing them hence I will let them go cheap. Thanks for taking the time to reply, sire. I appreciate it. I think I should attempt outbounding some domains using similar extension that I have. PS: Couldn't respond earlier because antispam banned me since Thursday for trying to react to id911's post. |

Sanjayd1: Finally! Sales Alert! Hardwood/Flooring//KnoxvilleTn//King $299 Hold time...10 days. ED Sold on the Second follow up/BIN Through DAN.
How do I start? Where do I start from? I was waiting to see the money korokoro in my account before posting...I had to be sure it wasn't a dream. I started this journey late June where I bought my first 3 times, those names haven't sold yet oo. However, I kept buying more. Could buy one name this month or even two the next month and I didn't stop outbounding despite not receiving positive responses. There were times where I questioned all that I had learned but never did I feel like giving up because of all the bosses in the house who never stopped encouraging newbies like me. I told myself: "this business, na here we dey". My greatest thanks go to Jehovah, my God. I believe in his undeserved kindness so much. My husband, my mentor Felix who encouraged me to keep pushing, all the bosses whom I have read and will keep reading from their wealth of experiences on this thread and who were always there to answer all our questions...Tranxo, ikhalyfah, Elon mosque, awesome duru, cyrilefit, budosky, please no vex if I no mention your name, I hold you all in high esteem. To my fellow newbies, keep pushing, don't give up, trust in God if you believe in him. I do. Your sale will come.
Ps: Never will I use wire transfer again. My money no complete after all my calculations. Pls, if you are a newbie like me, opt for bitcoin. It is the best. Glory to God indeed! And congrats! This is the sort of name I'm increasingly reluctant to reg anymore (city+state abbreviation). But it sold in this case! |

Crazeworld: I don't even understand this comment. If everyone uses Apple products and says it is good, does that mean no other person has the right to say it is bad if they've used it also?
Trust Pilot is a review platform where users can rate products or services they've used. The fact that you used Dan hitch-free doesn't mean others can't have problem with it.
The negative review is not spoiling business for anybody. Dan is a business that receives commission on every successful transaction. If they feel the review is bad for their business, they should work on it so other users don't drop such negative review in the future. You may be right, somewhat, but not entirely. This is talking from the perspective of a Nigerian. If we bash DAN, what's the better option for us. I just found out about Epik's connection to neo-Nazis (and white supremacists). Selling on almost all other marketplaces is also like a loss because they'd want to pay to your bank account - at what rate? In my opinion, I think the fellow would have done better directing his anger at DAN, privately. |

U1: I wonder how people that sold domain names containing "realtor" managed it.
I kept away from that term for a long time having read on Namepros about the trademark angle. The sales I saw finally made me decide to give it a try. Attached is a response I got from a lead.
If you have sold this type of domain before, I'd appreciate some heads-up. What was the experience like? Thanks. Any idea? |
