Amazing! Congrats.

I have yet to make in a year what you made in a month! But I want to hope we sef go get there. Last year was my best since I joined the biz, by the way.

Good evening everyone one.
I have carefully read this thread from page 1 to 100 and have gotten some useful information.

I have registered at afternic GoDaddy and expire domain. Also, I have also play around with some tools like Google ads keyword plan for avg monthly search and competition even though I can't read meaning to the data as every word I searched bring same value.

Also playing around with expire domain ( that site has lot of names)

I realized estibotdotcom is not loading
I also check who dot is and and tested the results with different websites.

Someone said something about Hunter dot io still trying to explore it.

GoDaddy website amount is in pounce don't know is everything this is right.

Also I have checked analytics for Moz for DA domain authority and PA page authority of different websites. Still trying to interpret the data.

Lastly ctrlqdot org / sandbox was used to know if a website has aid ban...

Right now I am just confused I still don't get what and how to know when a domain is good enough to buy. What to look out for in a domain Pros in the thread pls share with me. Thanks to learner and also iykepromotions. I appreciate your selfless contribution. My post was deleted by antibot so this is my second account

Perhaps, you want to reread or read more pages. I'm surprised that you didn't seem to get what to look for in those 100 pages.

Also, you may want to check out DomainGraduate (add .com) if you haven't already.

Yogi don release another book on follow-ups.

shiffynaani:
how can I list the domain on dan. Com. And after I for more selling opportunities?

Note: I'm not transferring it. I just want to list it on their marketplaces and change the nameserver on namesilo.

Thanks

Bro, if I may ask, how many pages did you read before you started registering names? I don't think you should be asking this question if you read the entire thread - maybe even the first 100. The answer was even provided on the same page.

It helps to learn how to use Google as well.

Congrats, Zigla and alawi5k. More sales.

But wait o. How you take dey do this 24-hour sales na, alawi5k?

Sadly, the forum isn't as helpful as it once was. It has increasingly become petty.

Since you asked for my opinion, I'd say it's not a miss. It should sell with God on your side.

I think "remodeling" would be best. But hey this is a two-worder! Names wey no good reach this one sef dey sell.

Good luck.

RedRay:
@U1, see it here.

You no mean am.

RedRay:
Where is the buttocks?

When you find am let me know.

Salesbay:
Wow, thanks for the info. $15 plenty Sha.

I recently discovered one scrapper called botsol. It scraps GoogleMap, YP and Yelp. And $50 can take you for 6months. I've tried the free version and seems good. I may be using it instead on reon.

Great share. Another one to check out. I tried Reoon once and stopped. This is more affordable.

Are you sure the tool scrapes YP? It's like it's called Google Maps scraper.

id911:
It could be luck or grace, I don't know. I have an entirely different perspectives about life, religion, etc.

At times portfolio size might not play a role whatsoever in making a sale happen but it's important too. One person with 2 not so good domain names could make a sale while another with 20 quality domain names hasn't sold any.
A particular business some people are making a killing, others might struggle even with superior knowledge and expertise. Those that struggle could move to a different line of business and start doing well instantly.

We were created differently and a lot of factors come into play in propelling us forwards or backwards in all human endeavors.

The bold probably supports the grace argument, you know? There are some people whom whatever they touch turns to gold where others may have to labour harder to make anything.

At my level of understanding at the moment, this grace has almost nothing to do with whether you believe in God (or whether you're good) or not. That's why it's often described as unmerited - it's not always because of what you have done.

id911:
You can't rightly say they're using 'silly' domain names. Perhaps, the so-called 'silly' domain names are working well for them and their businesses. The buying decision rest solely on the end users. Some people call it grace though I'm not convinced if that's true. I've sold a domain recently with just one mail. I sent a mail and the guy replied immediately that he'd buy and the transaction was concluded within 20 mins.

Keep pushing bro...you will still sell. It's just a matter of time and also making good domain names acquisition. May God bless our hustles this year, Amen.

Baba, it is! Are you convinced now?

I am tempted to share the view of the bro. My experience these years makes me feel so. Let me get more personal.

I have seen people that came into this business years after I first got into it making more than I made in five years in just a month! It may be shocking or incredible, but it's true.

In addition, I observed that my portfolio is bigger than some of those making more frequent sales here. Add to that the fact that I wouldn't even register some of the names they sold.

Grace dey o, baba. Well, you might call it luck if that sounds better.

Hello.
Buy my domain
Thanks and Warm Regards, Sam SD Domains

Simple as that. Thanks for the heads-up, bro.

ElonMosque:
I haven't bought one for my brandname yet.

Interesting. If I may ask, what do you include in your signature then? I'm curious.

Curb/appeal/Power/washing in King
$399 -BIN
SV:Epik
Dynadot
ED
HT: 5 days.

*Fun facts*
I was sending out follow ups last night around 7pm ish and got like 4 'not interested please take me off your list'.
I decided to shut down my laptop and thought Monday wasn't a good day for follow ups.

Woke up this morning to a Congratulatory message from Epik. Original price was $499, I forgot I adjusted the price to 399. I thought 499 was on the high side, looking back now 899 would have been appropriate.

Moral of the story? Iwo ma fo!
Keep it pushing, consistency is the key in this game.

Wonders of God! Congrats, bro.

Regarding the bold, what gave you the impression you could have sold it for the higher price? This question is coming from someone that wouldn't have registered that particular domain if I saw it on ED.

Sapiosexuality:
Lol. Sometimes I even customize them.

Toh, this one weak me.

mac04:
Does it mean that if I registered a domain at for example namesilo and want to park it on Dan.com.I should change the server to ns1.dan.com,ns1 .dan.com on namesilo?

ns1.dan.com
ns2.dan.com

Sapiosexuality:
Actually that's how I do mine and it's individually. It takes an average of 3 hours.

Now, that's a wow!

While the ogas dem dey post big big figures, make me sef no shame post my first sale this year.

Name: Total/Plumbing/Service in king
Price: 200
Type: Outbound
HT: About 9 months

I did a second follow-up for it last Friday and it sold on Saturday.

Noticed that Total/Plumbing (in king) sold at the same time. I believe the same buyer bought the two - he owned Total/Plumbing (in .net).

ElonMosque:
1. I marketed a domain and the enduser asked if I had something for “stucco” or “roofing repairs”. Totally unrelated to the domain I marketed. So I brainstormed and also checked ED before getting the two domains.

2. Yes I lowered the prices. I got some offers here and there. I accepted and some paid. I’ve been doing just 2 follow ups and those follow ups are within 7 days. Most of my recent sales have been from recent purchases.

Thanks! This is helpful.

You wrote that you sent up to 400 emails for one of the domains. I hope you are not doing the follow-ups manually. Na serious work be that o.

ElonMosque, e be like say you don dey go the way of your namesake o.

A couple of questions, please:

1. Could you explain how the requested domains worked? Did they request and you formed or backordered them?

2. For names that sold in less than 10 days, I assume you lowered prices and followed up. How many times, on average, did you follow up?

Thanks.

Majorly YP leads.

Mostly DAN marketplace.

January is looking better with $1598 so far..

Wow! That's some monstrous results!

Congrats, man. You're doing very well. I hope I get to this stage someday.

And to think I consider YP leads almost useless. I can't remember making a sale to leads I got from there - for about 40-50 cities.

ElonMosque:
Adding your number makes you look more trustworthy that's for sure. You could always ignore the call then find someone to help you call the enduser though

Thanks, bruv. Ignore? That's an interesting twist.

Simpsonrocket:
Happy Sunday folk. I declare, this week, we shall receive an $xxxx offer with a note "take it or leave it" in Jesus name. Amen.

Amen!!!

Zigla:
My fellow domainers the level of "I'm not interested" I'm getting from end-users is alarming.

Don't know if if I'm the only one experiencing such?

You aren't the only one, bro. Just hang in there.

There have been times when I didn't get any reply from many leads contacted and there are the occasional replies with expletives or insults.

Sapiosexuality:
Are you buying these Brandables is not the problem? I don't get why newbies will want to start with Brandables. It's not a safe ground. Even Geos are not easy to sell. Do you have any other names besides Brandables? Domaining is not just something you quit on. You can go on break, you can re-evaluate your journey and learning, but quiting, because of this reason, is not encouraging.

Huh?

Please I wish to have opinions on whether it helps (or compulsory) to include a phone number in email signature. I'm wondering if that may be a factor in why some sales don't go through.

I have a Dingtone number, but I am reluctant to include it. Background noise around where I live could give me away if I were to be called unexpectedly; I can find a quiet place if I am the one calling.

Also, there's the accent angle.

I think a Nigerian number is a no-no, right? What to do?

meetme01:
Netsol is still okay. I have over 10domains there and sold 2 already. It's a matter of patience for 60days expiration. Some even sale before 60days expiration. Just ensure you reg good names and be hopeful for grace.

Yes, you pay the new registrar charges if you intend to move the domain to another after 60days lock and automatically you have renewed for a year.

More sales to us all

It still beats me how Netsol manages to offer .coms below the registry price, especially when the vast majority will not renew there.
