I wonder how people that sold domain names containing "realtor" managed it.

I kept away from that term for a long time having read on Namepros about the trademark angle. The sales I saw finally made me decide to give it a try. Attached is a response I got from a lead.

If you have sold this type of domain before, I'd appreciate some heads-up. What was the experience like? Thanks.

There is something called SWOT Analysis.... you need to do it for whatever area and business you choose.

This 2020 has been a year of reset... you need to set up a business that will thrive irrespective of lockdown or plandemic.

Let me give you a few...

1) FOOD PROCESSING or FOOD COOKING
2) Agric-tech( where you invEst in buying a farm and you get as little as 50% ROI in 5 months.
3) STOCKS or FOREX.... (well... this one is late because if you used 4M to buy dollar at the beginning of the lockdown, by now you would have more than 6M)
4) Land.. then you put it out for LEASE (this is big business if you are in an industrial area)
5) health kits too
6) tech (setting up a dating or earning or news website or app is huge business)
7) real estate
mobile printing press (a van that is converted to a mobile office and you can drive to campuses and print on a daily basis)... someone sold this business here on NL for 850k with gen and other stuff.
9) TRUCK business (this is a very big business because a company handles every other thing for you once you buy the truck at an installment of 1.5m)
10) YOU (why not learn skills that will make you so versatile for less than 500k and then use the 3.5 to establish yourself)

Now sit and think which one your personality can cope with. Then Launch. I wish you well bro

I haven't been doing that and I felt it's not right. Just reluctant that they might misconstrue it if I did.

Maybe it's my accent, composure, or network quality; I noticed the few people I spoke to using the number often told me they didn't get what I said. I had to repeat or rephrase my statements, and then followed up with an email in one case.

No, I don't type the same message. It depends on what the person said.

For example one of them told me he's waiting for his IT person to come do the transaction but after waiting for days I reminded him what he told me and asked if everything was okay and if he is still interested and he said yes. Whatever he says next will guide my next comment but if he remains quiet I will mail him telling him I'm still waiting for his response and I'm ready to help or guide him if he still wants the domain.

I'm actually at the same spot now. My trick is, remind them after every 3-7 days until they say No. If I were in their shoes any attempt at bombardment will be seen as desperation and any attempt at desperation is an opportunity to either buy it low or conclude the domain is trash you want to throw out.

Yeah, you have a point. I usually leave several days before the first follow up as well. I don't like pestering people "unnecessarily."

Talking about reminders, could you give examples of what you type in each message or do you just repeat the same message each time?

I'm just starting to increase prices a little bit because I have yet to sell any domain name for more than $350.

I thought if I don't set an amount higher then I can never break that threshold. Even at that, I think less than 10-15% of my total Geo domains are priced higher than 399 out of the door.

I need the help of people who have followed leads for several times (3+) before making some sales. I'm a bit lost for what to do here.

I currently have three people that have expressed interest in what I offered them in the past 1-2 weeks. But they're not taking the action I expected.

- One said he'd tell the IT guy and finance to proceed last week. Followed up and still waiting.

- Another said he'd buy, but didn't do anything after being sent instructions on how to proceed. Followed up and no response.

- The third asked how to proceed; I responded and followed up. No action.

I was wondering if someone that followed up several times before a sale can please help with the series of emails they sent (what each was about). I'm confused at this point. Thanks in anticipation.

That's for third-party short code SMS. It doesn't stop messages from networks.

These people will make you understand that you can't stop unsolicited SMS from them. This is from experience. "Sorry" is all you'd get from them.

I have been wondering for a long time whether unsolicited SMS is something we just have to live with.There's been a hike in these messages from MTN and Glo in recent months and they are mostly repetitive.

I have contacted network providers regarding how to stop this over the years (the most recent being this evening), but the response has always been that there's nothing they can do about.

So I'm wondering: is this something one just have to endure? I wonder if this also obtains in saner climes.

Few Lessons for me last month:

1. I change the time I do my outbound from 2-4 pm to 8-10pm and I saw a little result. Though the formal is still my best period but I will be interchanging from time to time.

2. Follow ups and negotiation skills are very important. I keep learning it from people here each time I visit.

3. Source for leads from all angles.

4. Believe in your domains. I have strong feelings for some domains that they will certainly sale. I only renew domains that had received offer(s) in the past.

5. Don't use one sales letter. Have as many as possible and use the ones that are pulling sales often.

6. Continue to trust in God and work hard. No dulling.

Note: Please nobody should feel like l'm trying to show off. I strongly believe I am contributing my quota by dropping this sales report to guide others in knowing what can sell.

Yes, very valid point.

What I have observed so far is that some people are more lucky or blessed in this biz. Such people may sell like 1+ out of every 3 domain names or sell for higher figures.

For others, it's a game of numbers - keep on regging good names and hope to get lucky at some point. I have read from some people that they sell like 1 out of every 10-15 domain names. A single sale, however, usually makes up for the ones not sold.

For me I try to tell them that it is a one time mail and I stick to it.

This used to be me - still experimenting more or less, though.

I later decided to start following up one or two times after reading from people that it helps.

Still, I think 80-90% of the sales I have made so far resulted from the initial contact.

I can relate very well with this. Held on to a name for a full year, didn't sell. Someone else here that picked it after I dropped got it sold for a higher price within a few months.

You see! The truth is that many people don't have the money to start. Majority of Those that have don't take action Because they are afraid of trying. Do you know that I was among those that they literally begged to open bitcoin wallet in 2012 with just #50k when it was just about #500 for 1btc. I was afraid even though I had the money then. Today, as at this morning, check it's value , it's over #8m.

Imagine if I had bought it then with #500, I would have had 2000 btc in my wallet. Just do the maths my friend.

Every online Biz professional knows that there is money in Affiliate business, but the problem has been that of sales in recent times but with the right affiliate tools and little capital, one can have full online business making close to $5000 monthly depending on your effort and mentorship. But you see! Most people don't want to take action and even when they do they get discouraged after 1 or 2months. How can somebody who is unstable like that make progress in life.?

Just imagine, in my 2 previous classes of over 80 persons, less than 30% are taking action after I warned that nobody should join my class who doesn't have the required capital. As if the start-up is meant for me and not for them to start and grow their affiliate business. That start-up capital is for them to get the needed affiliate tools to be able to make money. Not for me.I don't sell ebooks but I don't give my best ebooks to anyone that hasn't taken a step.

I don't think any place that can put price information online won't have a means of contact. If they don't, I'd determine the maximum amount I can pay in advance (price stated plus an extra) and also make a plan for an alternative arrangement.
