Ubenedictus,

Do you mean that Sinai was the first place where GOD pronounced it illegal to kill and commit adultery? If no, where?

Was the Sabbath instituted at Sinai?
Sinai was where sabbath became a law. that was whe that law was given.

Yes.

"Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good." Romans 7:12
Roman7:4 So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God. 6 But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and
not in the old way of the written code.

Toward the end of your post, I guess you can see why the law of Love which Jesus said in John 13:35 and the definition of love in 1 Corinthians 13:4-.......goes beyond observing days and month. Nowadays you hear children days, Mothers day e.t.c but humans dont appreciate their mothers on that day alone, they do so often, some regularly. PRINCIPLES accompanying God's law has really shown that you never had to murder before you trangress against the law, the law of love tells you that love does not provoke, does not keep account of injury. Any individual that keeps account of injury or jealous or act indecently to his fellow brother has boken the law of love already, it is not until such ones commit murder. I hope you get a clue from this. We are indeed under the law of christ(LOVE).

More quotes from the Beast(of Rev. 13), which is also Babylon/adulterous woman(of Rev. 17).

"The authority of the church could therefore not be bound to the authority of the Scriptures, because the Church had changed...the Sabbath into Sunday, not by command of Christ, but by its own authority. "Canon and Tradition, p. 263"

Is not every Christian obliged to sanctify Sunday and to abstain on that day from unnecessary servile work? Is not the observance of this law among the most prominent of our sacred duties? But you may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we never sanctify." -James Cardinal Gibbons,The Faith of Our Fathers (1917 ed.), pp. 72, 73.

Sunday worshippers, are you listening?

"The Catholic church," declared Cardinal Gibbons, "by virtue of her divine mission changed the day from Saturday to Sunday." Catholic Mirror Sept. 23 1983.(Official organ of Cardinal Gibbons)

Of course the catholic church has a mission. She is a tool in the hands of Satan: a very broad way that leads into destruction.

May GOD open the eyes of those being deceived and encouraged not to read the Bible for themselves.
COL 2;16

The church does have a divine mission and authority to bind and lose in heaven and on earth. By this authority, she decleared d lord's day.
Ofcuz u are d accuser of d brethren judging where scriptures explicitly teach a xtian cant b judged on.

We are all familiar with these inferences from various biblical passages. I only asked if Jesus preached that his death and resurrection were the basis of christian salvation.

If you know of any passages where Jesus preached this I would be glad to hear of it.
NAH, it is hard to find Jesus preach so explicitly about d importance of his death except in a few places.
in jn he say 'and when i am lifted up from d earth i will draw all men to myself', this was in reference to his death, and of more importance he say, 'unles a grain of wheat fall and die it remains but a single grain, but when it die it yield a thousand fold', there he pretty much put his death as d single defining moment of his life, he also tell us dat we recieve d holy spirit only because he dies, 'if i do not go he will not come'.

in those few passages Jesus tell us d centrality of his death, after his anscension d apostles finally saw his death in dat light.

The Bible makes that clear to us. The Bible says the Iron (Roman empire) will try to mix with Clay both at the feet of the image

Rome morphed, Rome did not die. The Bible makes that clear to us.
Not really, d clay mixed with iron legs isnt a reference to any morphing, it instead shows d inherently double placed, strong and weak foundations of rome, rome always undulated between monarchy and republican. iron is a reference to a monarch (dat is why d bible talks of ruling with an iron rod). clay is d republic, by nature it is weak and requires cohension.
d iron and clay tell u that d empire was weak in its foundation since it undulated between two forms of government.

d roman empire fell years ago and d church took power and spread. that passage is fulfilled.

How can Ubenedictus continue to pretend as if it was not the Catholic church that caused the people to disregard GOD's holy Sabbath, even in the light of the discourse below?

Question - Which is the Sabbath day?

Answer - Saturday is the Sabbath day.

Question - Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday?

Answer - We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church, in the Council of Laodicea (A.D. 364), transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday."The Convert's Catechism of Catholic Doctrine, p. 50, 3rd ed.

Meanwhile, GOD says:
I JUST LOVE SCRIPTURES

COL 2;16

when God clearly say a xtian cannot be judged on the observance of sabbath, then d church who has d power to bind and lose is free to adopt d lord's day as a solemnity.

the important part goes thus, legs of iron, terribly strong, referring to the Roman empire. Then what happens? He goes on to describe
this. He says, "As you looked, a stone was cut out but by no human hand and it smote the image on its feet of iron and clay and broke them in pieces. Then the iron and the clay, the
silver and the bronze and the gold all together were broken into pieces and became like the chaff on the summer threshing-floors and the wind carried them away so that not a trace of them could be found." This little stone fell upon the fourth empire, the Roman empire
symbolized by the iron legs, broke the feet, shattered the legs and the whole image crumbled and blew away. What is he talking about? Well, there is only one kingdom that came down from heaven as
a small stone which the builders rejected and it became the cornerstone.
So Jesus is the stone who came down and, through His spiritual kingdom in the Church, destroyed the fourth and final empire in Rome nd brought about a worldwide reign

No Ubenedictus, Daniel 2:44 is being fulfilled in real time as we converse here, it is not of the past, it is of now. The whole image of the beast that King Nebu saw and was interpreted by Daniel is the progression of world empires up to this present moment. We know of Babylon, because we read of King Belshazzar both in secular and Bible History. We know how General Ugbaru conquered Babylon in only one night.

We know how King Cyrus decreed tht the Jews be allowed to return home. We know of King Xerses or Ahasuerus, King Darius, this is the Medio persian empire.

We know about Alexander the great, and how he conquered the Persian empire. We know of the Roman empire and its emperors.

Now Daniel tells us that the end of this present world, and the fulfilment of all things, the coming and enthronment of Jesus will be during the time of Iron and Clay. The time of the immiscible Iron and clay will end on the 20th of January 2017
may hv already ended

No this is not a prediction, but a prophecy accordimg to the Bible.

No again I don't have a date fot the second coming, we have only seen that the fig tree has put forth its leaves, and when we see this we are asked to lift up our heads fir our redemption draws nigh.

Also, we have read the circumstances of Daniel 2:44 and have seen thaf Jesus Christ will arrive on or before the 20th of January 2017.

We are the brethren, Paul says we are not in darkness that the day should overtake us as a thief. Truly, it will come upon the world like a thief in the night, but for we who are brethren and dearly beloved of the Lord, we will see the day approaching. We will fully anticipate the day, we will be expecting it, it will meet us well prepared.
I will still warn u to be very carefull when interpreting prophesys, it is tricky, 'd devil is in d details'.

Dont be suprised if dan 2:44 is already fulfilling since 2000yrs ago.

james goes on to tell us dat we must patiently wait 4 it, just live ur life in Christ. the time when he will come is his issue just be ready when he arrives.

Chairman, truly no one knows the exact day, but we know the season because we are well informed about it. If Christ knew the day he would return, he would have written it in the Bible.

How can you prepare for what you do not know? Daniel studied the times so he was able to prepare better. Holiness was his lifestyle, he did not live holy because he was expectant for the return of the Jews, he lived holy because it is the proper lifestyle. And when the time came for the restoration of the Jews, Daniel understood by books that the time had come.

On or before 20th January 2017.
U think u've gat d date 4 d second coming? be careful with such prediction, God has his own idea of time.

The death and resurrection is d climax of d gospels, Jesus was always talking about 'my time', prophesying his death and resurrection. it is in d same motif that john d baptist identify him 'this is d lamb of God who takes away d sins of d world', d lamb has to die to take away sins. isaiah talks of d suffering messiah, 'by his suffering shall my servant justify many'.

Col. 2:14 "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;"

It is not hard to see that Col. 2:14-17 was talking about ceremonial laws. This set of ceremonial laws were the same which was "contrary to us"(see Deut. 31:26) and was placed by the side of the ark. It was different from the moral law(10 Commandments) which was placed inside the ark.

Ubenedictus, what do you have to say about these quotes from the catholic church?

"Not the Creator of Universe, in Genesis 2:1-3,- but the Catholic Church can claim the honor of having granted man a pause to his work every seven days."-S. C. Mosna, Storia della Domenica, 1969, pp. 366-367.

"The Pope is of great authority and power that he can modify, explain, or interpret even divine laws... The Pope can modify divine law, since his power is not of man,but of God, and he acts as vicegerent of God upon earth." -Lucius Ferraris, Prompta Bibliotheca, "Papa," art. 2, translated.

"The Pope has the power tochange times, to abrogate laws, and todispense with all things, even the precepts of Christ." "The Pope has the authority and often exercised it,to dispense with the command of Christ." Decretal, de Tranlatic Episcop. Cap. (The Pope can modify divine law.) Ferraris' Ecclesiastical Dictionary.
That is incorrect and d church rejects it.

Ubenedictus, in the light of this quote:

"Had she not such power, she could not have done that in which all modern religionists agree with her; --she could not have substituted the observance of Sunday the first day of the week, for the observance of Saturday the seventh day, a change for which there is no Scriptural authority." -Rev. Stephan Keenan, A Doctrinal Catechism, "On the Obedience Due to the Church," chap. 2, p. 174. (Imprimatur, John Cardinal McCloskey, archbishop of New York.)

Why are you being a hypocrite by trying to make it look as if it was the Bible that commanded disregard for the Sabbath of GOD, when, in fact, it was the Beast(Papacy) that commanded it?
That is what happens when u lack comprehension, there is no biblical command that says observe sunday. it was implied but not commanded that law was made by d church. the placing of sunday show d power of d church. but d abrogation of the sabbath is very biblical.

I even thought Gal1 :19 was a further proof that the James mentioned in Matt 13:55 was also one of his apostles but when i looked at the list of Jesus' apostles in Mark 3: 16-19 i discovered that the two apostles named James are the sons of Zebedee and Alpheus, non was the son of Joseph or Mary the mother of Jesus. On the other hand i kept seeing another Mary who the mother of James and Joseph.

So that they were called Jesus' adelphos doesn't mean they were the sons of his mother.
