Serious scrutiny like changing GOD's holy Sabbath right and preventing laymen from reading the Bible, killing people who read the Bible, right?
if u open any bible of that time u will find d 7th day sabbath, d church didnt change a single word of d scripture. Even my bible has d sabbath on it, but it also has 'the lords day' and also tells me that d ordinances and commandments of d old law has been set aside.

The church didnt stop people from reading d bible, actually d church had no reason to do so, only less 5% of d population could read, there was no printing press so every bible was meticulously hand copied by monks. There were actually different edition then, abt 15 german edition which anyone who could afford can buy.

Nobody was killed for reading d bible, but unsanction incorrect translations were offense in many countries.

The church didnt execute but condemned people to die. Does it matter who actually strikes the blow? It is the "authoriser" that is ultimately responsible.
D church didnt, d laws of d state did. it seems u are ignorant of these things.

What passage gives the "church" the right to kill heretic? Even God did not kill Cain who was worse than a heretic - the Bible called him "the son of the evil one".
the same passage that gives isreal d right to kill an heretic, and d word of Jesus that says d deserves worst than drowning.

and as i explain b4 d church historical didnt kill heretic, d state did, and d state has the power to d so.

Catholics na christian before?
Many of them dont even carry bible to church neither read bible in Church. It's rosary, chaplet and Cathechism that govern them.

Purgatory, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven, Rosary prayers, image obsession are just a few characteristics of this religous myopia.

Who has that Wolf in sheep's clothing (Satan's best strategy) pic?
Why not keep shut on issues u know nothing about?

catholics read d bible in church and is a primary authoritative source for faith and moral. catechisms are just explanations and explanding upon divine truth.
Lastly all other churches came from catholic church, if catholics arent christians then neither are protestants.
Christianity Etc › Re: Wicked Atheist Warlord Adolf Hitler And His Hate For Christianity ⭆ Table Talk by Ubenedictus(m): 7:01pm On Nov 19, 2016
Lennycool:
Hitler was a christian for most of his life, it was close to 1939 that he became a sort of deist, even at that Hitler didn't commit most of the evils himself he ordered his soldiers who were very well christians themselves. He even had the help of churches to determine who was Jewish and not, by checking their birth register. You qualify as Jewish if your ancestors were Jewish sometime before the 17th century. So though Hitler was a deist later in life his soldiers that committed the atrocities and most of the German citizenry that tolerated the evil were very largely christian. Also the Catholic church failed to speak against his persecution of the Jews, this is still a thing of great shame to the church. Also the motive behind most of the Jewish persecution was that they were the killer of Christ. So the atrocities had a very christian dimension to it.
Your post is mute

That is what happens when individuals translates scriptures as though it was personal property, there was a time when every translation of d bible had to undergo serious scrutiny but that changed with the protestant revolution, luther 1st translated and added 'alone' to his translation of 'the just shall live by faith' d man added and subtracted, then calvin and king james commisioned their own. Finaly we have jehova witness bible, and all other form.

14 (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law. 15 They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also
bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.) 16 This will take place on the day when God judges people’s secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares.

Kindly do not quote me without going through this thread and takong advantage of the greek/hebrew guide I gave the link which offered a Greek/Hebrew guide to the original words interpreted as WINE in the Bible and what kind of WINE those words meant.

The argument here is not about if in those days wine was alcoholic the argument is if the one Jesus turned from water was alcoholic and the Greek translation clearly says it wad NOT.

Read and understand before you comment.

Besides the illustration using the old cloth and new patch or new wine in old wineskins was not referring to the intake of wine but wad referring to the embodiment of the Holy Spirit in an unclean old sinful vessel (man). NEW FOR NEW and not NEW FOR OLD thereby destroying the vessel (man).
I gues d one used 4 d last supper is also non alcoholic abi?

actually wine at all times has always been an alcoholic beverage. Only in Nigeria will you find people who think there is such thing as none alcoholic wine. A peep in any dictionary will always refer to wine as an alcohol.

In the gospel of Jesus Christ, He never commanded any one to kill in Jesus Name. I challenge you to show me..chapter what verse what in the new testament dispensation which we are in now (leave the old testament alone for now).
What passage says it is wrong to punish a heretic.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Hillary Clinton: The Last US President by Ubenedictus(m): 6:44pm On Nov 13, 2016
SisterMe:
You are not the judge of the herertic. Jesus said "it would be better..." He did not say you should become the judge. The old testament said many things that are not in force nowin the new testatment. Why should Roman Catholicism selectively pick what will allow the murder of its critics and not apply the rest of the old testament? Its hypocrisy my dear.
D church historically didnt execute heretics, that is d work of d state, d church only inquires if d person is a heretic. the execution and judgement belongs to the state. i simply showed u dat passages to show u there is biblical good precedent to condemn an heretic. if u disagree with those laws that is ur cup of tea. maybe u think d law of God is unjust.

Why would God set out to defeat His own purpose by installing bad church leaders in His church? Leaders may have their personal idiosyncracies but not to the point of becoming outrightly bad people. Jesus wants His kingdom to stand. He cannot do things to defeat His own purpose. He did not die that death on the cross for nothing my dear.

I know your mindset, if you had your way, you, and I mean you Ubenedictus, would kill me and all others who oppose Roman Catholicism. Its alright. I hope you see it and repent before its too late.
God's purposes are insearchable, he allowed bad leaders in isreal, allowed false prophet to rise up in d church, he allows many things. u can question him. besides i'm pretty sure there are bad leader in ur church.
