How about photosynthesishuh Please stop twisting the Bible. The "prophecy" you claim to see there is a curse to the serpent and not a prophecy. Why not twist the one where God cursed the woman to be a prophecy, or where he said man would till the ground before he would eathuh You're quick to pick out what you have been taught to believe. Please show me a prophecy about Mary's divinity and stop coining the account of Eden to be Mary's. The enmity between man and serpents, regardless of how harmful or harmless they are is as a result of Genesis 3:15 and not one Catholic-Latin belief.

it is easy to see you dont want to learn but want to teach, why not just type proto evangelium on google and see what it is. prophesy come in different shapes, d one of a woman having a child by d prophett isaiah was meant for hezekiah yet hezekiah was long dead when it was fulfilled, does that mean it wasnt still about mary and Jesus? The psalm dat says thou art my son today i have begotten u was a song at crowning a new king yet paul says it refers to Jesus. God was ggiving judgement is gen 3 and went on to prophesyy an enmity he himself will create beween d woman and her offspring, he didnt say women or offsprings, he was specific one woman one offspring. That is not abt eve

I have never said mary is God so stop asking me to prove a claim i didnt make but to claim that there was no prophecy on mary is a lie.

Oluwaseytiano:
10 The Lies Of Mother Teresa:

Although Mother Teresa was beatified as a
saint by the Catholic Church in 2003, in
reality she was far from the saint the Church
would lead you to believe. In fact, Mother
Teresa isn’t even her real name; she was born
Anjeze Gonxhe Bojaxhiu in Albania. The issues
certainly don’t end with her pseudonym.
Researchers today have called Mother Teresa
an empty “PR ploy” by the Vatican to
rehabilitate their tarnished image.
Mother Teresa’s claim to fame is helping poor
around the world, but she did quite the
opposite throughout her lifetime. Mother
Teresa made niceties with right-wing Haitian
Dictator Jean-Claude Duvalier and accepted
money from him which had been stolen from
Haiti’s poor. Duvalier was known for stealing
millions from Haiti’s poor so that he could
maintain his own lavish lifestyle. He spent $2
million of Haiti’s money to pay for his
extravagant wedding. Duvalier also profited
from drug trafficking and selling the body
parts of deceased Haitians.
Mother Teresa rubbed elbows with another
thief by the name of Charles Keating. If that
name rings a bell for you, it should; Keating is
the banker best known for defrauding
American taxpayers out of over $3 billion
during the savings and loan crisis of the ’80s
and ’90s. Keating donated $1.25 million to
Mother Teresa and lent her his private jet so
that the missionary could jet set around the
world. Keating would later be convicted in
state and federal courts of a litany of crimes
including racketeering, fraud, and conspiracy.
After Keating was convicted, Mother Teresa
refused to return the stolen money and asked
one of the courts to overturn his sentence.
What she did with the money remains in
question. The care she gave to the sick and
poor in her hospices was observed to be
wholly unsanitary, medical care was wholly
insufficient , and crucial pain management for
the dying was cruelly inadequate. Her
hospices were found to not even distinguish
between terminally ill patients and those who
could be cured. Consequently, patients with
curable illness died from the poor, unsanitary
treatment they received from Mother Teresa’s
facilities.
Her motivation for setting these hospices may
have been less compassion and more
fundamentalism. Mother Teresa callously
encouraged those who worked in her hospices
to baptize dying patients, regardless of the
patient’s religious beliefs or consent. Mother
Teresa’s fundamentalism stretched beyond the
subject of baptism. She claimed that abortion
was “the greatest enemy of peace in the
world,” and opposed contraception even in the
cases of rape and incest.
Mother Teresa also defended a pedophilic
priest named Donald McGuire, trying to get
him leniency after he was convicted of raping
children. She wanted him to be reinstated as a
priest despite his heinous crimes.
The greatest irony of it all is that by the end
of her life, Mother Teresa didn’t even believe
in the fundamentalism she spouted or the
religion she spent her life serving. After her
death, letters Mother Teresa had written to the
Vatican surfaced and revealed that she had
stopped believing in the religion she plugged.
Mother Teresa wrote: “What do I labor for? If
there be no God, there can be no soul. If there
be no soul then, Jesus, You also are not true.”
when sister are admitted they chose new names. The name mother theresa chose is theressa, mother is d title for a superior in a convent. It is not a PR move.
I dontt know if u have ever ran a charity but it is not d wrk of d organisation to judge d source of wealth of its benefactor. There is no rule that say only holy people should give to charity. If ur problem wit d church is that unholyyy people gave to charity then u have no case. Who is righteous?

Would be waiting for the passage though.
it seems u dont know what a prophesy is, gen 3:15 is called d protoevangelium in christianity, christians from early times interprete it as God detailing his salvation plan by telling d devil of an enmity he has establish between d devil and the woman (d said the woman, not this woman) and her seed. Isaiah repeats it he said a woman shall concieve and bears a son, that woman is mary... Is 7 and is 9. That is a prophesy abt mary.

* "communion of saints" as you say is a form of spiritualism.
How do you pray to saints that are dead?
Anything that communes with the dead is transgressing the law of God and going through a devil!

* Also, when Our Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross, (if you check the word of God), the veils of the temple was rent in twain, thus meaning that we could approach the throne of God directly.

* Also, Saints are dead, they are in the presence of God.
There's no mediator between God and man but Jesus Christ.

- Praying through Paul,Mary etc, is not correct.

1 Timothy 2:5
For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity--the man Christ Jesus. There is one God.

My God became man to save me, he was born of a woman, he had a mother who gave birth to him suckled him, packed his poo and to whom he was obedient till maturity, her name is mary.

If you claim he didnt have a mom then you are claiming to be more knowledgeable than the bible, you are denying that a woman gavee birth to Jesus, u aree denying that God came in the flesh and contradicting scriptures, you are teaching heresy, and manifesting d spirit of d antichrist, d one who denies that Jesus came in d flesh.

You and Italo should know. You carry yourself as if you were high ranking clergymen or catholic historians.

The mere fact that you are asking me about popes who supported slavery in their writings shows that you have some dubious elements in you.

Or do you expect an Economist to be asking you for evidence of the historical failures of capitalism (even though captialism has huge benefits)?

Why then would you, as an educated catholic be asking me to provide you evidence for the bad popes who supported slavery in the past (even though there are good popes who served the church righteously)
we have over 260 popes since peter and theyy all enjoy writting weve had abt 21 ecumenical councils, several church father and doctors of the church spaning centuries, those are volumes, the works of joseph ratzinger aka pope benedict is extremely voluminous and i can bet pope francis havent read them all, the church the 2000yrs old with a long lists of writtings, i dont know any scholar that has read them all.....

An economist can be very ignorant of old economic models expecially when they were used 1000yrs ago. People have different and perhaps wrong perceptions and understanding of their parents and siblings all the time. This does not ultimately erase the fact that they are still their parents and siblings. For instance, many a kid think their parents to be superhumans and the best parents in the world and able to buy them aeroplanes etc. This is minor and not as critical as the understanding and belief that Jesus is the Son of God that died for their sins on the cross and rose up on the third day.

Papal Bull from Pope Eugene IV: <Sicut Dudum>, 1435

On January 13, 1435, Eugene IV issued from Florence the bull <Sicut Dudum>. Sent to Bishop Ferdinand, located at Rubicon on the island of Lanzarote, this bull condemned the enslavement of the black natives of the newly colonized Canary Islands off the coast of Africa. The Pope stated that after being converted to the faith or promised baptism, many of the inhabitants were taken from their homes and enslaved:

"They have deprived the natives of their property or turned it to their own use, and have subjected some of the inhabitants of said islands to perpetual slavery (<subdiderunt perpetuae servituti>wink, sold them to other persons and committed other various illicit and evil deeds against them.... Therefore We ... exhort, through the sprinkling of the Blood of Jesus Christ shed for their sins, one and all, temporal princes, lords, captains, armed men, barons, soldiers, nobles, communities and all others of every kind among the Christian faithful of whatever state, grade or condition, that they themselves desist from the aforementioned deeds, cause those subject to them to desist from them, and restrain them rigorously. And no less do We order and command all and each of the faithful of each sex that, within the space of fifteen days of the publication of these letters in the place where they live, that they restore to their pristine liberty all and each person of either sex who were once residents of said Canary Islands ... who have been made subject to slavery (<servituti subicere>wink. These people are to be totally and perpetually free and are to be let go without the exaction or reception of any money."

The date of this Bull, 1435, is very significant. Nearly 60 years before the Europeans were to find the New World, we already had the papal condemnation of slavery as soon as this crime was discovered in one of the first of the Portuguese geographical discoveries.

Eugene IV was clear in his intentions both to condemn the enslavement of the residents of the Canary Islands, and to demand correction of the injustice within 15 days. Those who did not restore the enslaved to their liberty in that time were to incur the sentence of excommunication ipso facto.

With <Sicut Dudum>, Eugene was clearly intending to condemn the enslavement of the people of the Canaries and, in no uncertain terms, to inform the faithful that what was being condemned was what we would classify as gravely wrong. Thus, the unjust slavery that had begun in the newly found territories was condemned, condemned as soon as it was discovered, and condemned in the strongest of terms.

Papal Bull from Pope Paul III: <Sublimis Deus>, 1537

The pontifical decree known as "The Sublime God" has indeed had an exalted role in the cause of social justice in the New World. Recently, authors such as Gustavo Gutierrez have noted this fact: 'The bull of Pope Paul III, <Sublimis Deus> (June 2, 1537), is regarded as the most important papal pronouncement on the human condition of the Indians." It is, moreover, addressed to all of the Christian faithful in the world, and not to a particular bishop in one area, thereby not limiting its significance, but universalizing it.

<Sublimis Deus> was intended to be issued as the central pedagogical work against slavery. Two other bulls would be published to implement the teaching of <Sublimis,> one to impose penalties on those who fail to abide by the teaching against slavery, and a second to specify the sacramental consequences of the teaching that the Indians are true men.

The first central teaching of this beautiful work is the universality of the call to receive the Faith and salvation:

"And since mankind, according to the witness of Sacred Scripture, was created for eternal life and happiness, and since no one is able to attain this eternal life and happiness except through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, it is necessary to confess that man is of such a nature and condition that he is capable to receive faith in Christ and that everyone who possesses human nature is apt for receiving such faith . . . Therefore the Truth Himself Who can neither deceive nor be deceived, when He destined the preachers of the faith to the office of preaching, is known to have said: 'Going, make disciples of all nations.' 'All,' he said, without any exception, since all are capable of the discipline of the faith."

The teaching of <Sublimis> continued:

"Seeing this and envying it, the enemy of the human race, who always opposes all good men so that the race may perish, has thought up a way, unheard of before now, by which he might impede the saving word of God from being preached to the nations. He has stirred up some of his allies who, desiring to satisfy their own avarice, are presuming to assert far and wide that the Indians of the West and the South who have come to our notice in these times be reduced to our service like brute animals, under the pretext that they are lacking the Catholic Faith. And they reduce them to slavery (<Et eos in servitutem redigunt>wink, treating them with afflictions they would scarcely use with brute animals."

The common pretext of the allies of "the enemy of the human race," i.e. Satan, for enslaving the Indians was that they lacked the Faith. Some of the Europeans used the reasoning that converting the Indians should be accomplished by any means necessary, thus making the Faith an excuse for war and enslavement. Paul III stated that the practice of this form of servitude was "unheard of before now." This clearly indicates that the practice of enslaving an entire ethnic group of people—the Indians of South America—for no morally justifiable reason was indeed different from anything previously encountered.

The second core teaching of <Sublimis Deus> which follows from this is the necessity of restoring and maintaining the liberty of the Indians:

"Therefore, We, . . . noting that the Indians themselves indeed are true men and are not only capable of the Christian faith, but, as has been made known to us, promptly hasten to the faith' and wishing to provide suitable remedies for them, by our Apostolic Authority decree and declare by these present letters that the same Indians and all other peoples—even though they are outside the faith—who shall hereafter come to the knowledge of Christians have not been deprived or should not be deprived of their liberty or of their possessions. Rather they are to be able to use and enjoy this liberty and this ownership of property freely and licitly, and are not to be reduced to slavery, and that whatever happens to the contrary is to be considered null and void. These same Indians and other peoples are to be invited to the said faith in Christ by preaching and the example of a good life."

Thus, we see that Eugene IV and Paul III did not hesitate to condemn the forced servitude of Blacks and Indians, and they did so once such practices became known to the Holy See. Their teaching was continued by Gregory XIV in 1591 and by Urban VIII in 1639. Indeed Urban, in his document <Commissum Nobis>, appealed to the teaching of his predecessors, particularly Paul III. The pontifical teaching was continued by the response of the Holy Office on March 20, 1686, under Innocent XI, and by the encyclical of Benedict XIV, <Immensa Pastorum>, on December 20, 1741. This work was followed by the efforts of Pius VII at the Congress of Vienna in 1815 to have the victors over Napoleon outlaw slavery.

Syncan:
Friend. Take a look again at the bold, are you saying that when those "who have put on Christ" offend God through sin then it is Christ that commits those sins? (God forbid). Forget about whether it is water baptism or not, that's not what we are studying here. What you are doing above is that you are saying that when someone put on Christ in baptism, it's either (1)he is not capable of committing sin-even those you had listed earlier-again throughout his/her life, or (2) he goes to heaven with such sins as it is Christ that must have committed them and Christ cannot be purged. You cannot pick and chose when to be Christ, you cannot be man when you're committing sin and become Christ when you die in order to avoid the repercussion. Believers do fall, they sin, you cannot say someone who is a believer cannot fall, that's why St. Paul says "Take heed lest you fall" 1Cor 10:12 and charges Christians thus "When ye sin so against brethren, and wound their WEAK conscience, ye sin against Christ" (1 Cor 8.12)- this was for something as small as eating meat sacrificed to Idol- he wasn't talking to unbelievers. When John the apostle was writing the epistle, he wrote to believers, yet he said this to them "If we CONFESS our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness" (1 John 1.9). This shows that believers can fall into sin, but a true believer does not want to sin, and "dies daily" in an effort to watch and keep himself from sin. Granted some attain that perfection before departing this earth, but many at their point of death, cannot be said to be perfect. It is you now who takes God for granted by assuming that you'll go into heaven like that, yet scripture says that such a one will be saved, yet so as by fire.

Lool.

You might be right cos infidelity and a lot of Yoruba women are like cocopops and fresh milk, regardless of how stiff and pretentious they act. A lot of them love the big willy like they love Brazilian hair. grin

I just checked her history properly and it seems she's originally from Ife. But her ancestors left Ife for Bini and they were the ones who tutored the Binis on brass/bronze casting and terracotta. But regardless, Bini folks need to bow down to Yorubas at all time. Without Yoruba, there won't be Bini. Ya small edoid kingdom's rise to fame came from Ife, Owo, and Ijebu. Learn ya history! cool
failed attempt to insult, there were also ibo men in the palace, there were all sorts of tribes in the bini palace. any good artisan or the child of a tributary town could be found in the palace so that every town was represented and every good artisan anywhere was invited. it shows how powerful the bini empire was in its hay days to attract people far and near.

i hope u see how i responded respectively, let me see if u can do same or if u are plagued with inferiority complex

I wonder how then you think you can make heaven, where nothing impure can enter. How many times have you lacked respect in prayers, how many times have you omitted offering help to another for one reason or the other, how many times have you spoken to another uncharitably, how many times have you been vain in speech, fashion, thoughts or expressions, how many times have you missed prayers or was late for an appointment for flimsy reasons? Do you even acknowledge these as sin and ask forgiveness? You think you can go to heaven with these? When Scripture says that the Just man falls seven times a day Prov.24:16, it wasn't talking of killing and adultery. Again, when scripture talked of "Sins that do not lead to death" 1John 5:17 it acknowledged first that all sin is sin, but still noted that not all sin merit hell fire at the time of judgement. Rather at that time, such a person will be saved, yet so as by fire 1 Cor 3:15, before entering heaven for as you've already observed, nothing impure can enter there. That's where Purgatory comes in.
