Not really, a parish priest is d person in charge of d parish, a priest in residence is a priest on special assignment livin wit d parish. a parish priest cant command a priest in residence like he commands an assitant priest. infact d priest in residence can refuse to do any work, he can refuse to say public mass or participate in activities nobody can boss him around, he has d choice of what he wants.

My old parish has a priest in residence, he doesnt come out for morning mass or sick calls, baptisms he says one mass on sunday, while odas say 2 or 3 and choses when to go for confession. His primary duty isnt d parish, his main duty is his assignment.

Mbaka is lucky he now has time for his ministy since dat is now his primary assignment.

i read my bible, romans is a favourite book for me, i enjoy it, justification is also a favorite topic, d catholic church has been teaching justification by grace 1500yrs before u guys came along i am suprised u are trying to bring it up as if it is new.

justification by grace is a doctrine, that is how ritual in christianity have power, rm 6 show a good example of how grace affect ritual, "all who were baptised into christ were baptised into his death" that passage links d rituals of baptism to d death of Jesus i.e d source of grace.

All members of the body of Christ are the church, not some denomination, whatever year they were founded whether 2000B.C or 2016.

Jesus founded one church, one faith, one baptism, one lord. if ur 'denomination' is part of dat church it should have one faith.

A denomination is a religious grouping within a faith that has its own system of organization. The Roman Catholic Church is a denomination. Most of these other churches usually claim non-denominational BTW, no be only you get that problem.

Bro, I want to be a true Christian in catholic church. But the Word there is weak. I got more conscious of building a relationship with God when I visited another church, just the preaching for that day gave me a serious rethink. I came back to my catholic church and I wasnt feeling it. I really want to get close to God in catholic not just observing catholic rituals and doctrines. Christianity is way deeper than that.

Catholicism keeps its relevance by making itself complex, keep members from reading/meditating on the Bible by themselves and for lazy people who just want to be religiously content.
