Kay 17: Science is a process. Evolution, Global warming, Big Ban.g, M-theory, general relativity theory are the ideas in vogue. These are what's being researched and discussed. The point is just telling the truth, but discussion.

So it doesn't make sense to throw out scientific theory because you believe it isn't true, it would be a premature judgement.

Ot is clear that for secular states, it is unconstitutional to propagate religious ideas. Public schools are channels of communication, and they should reflect the secular nature of the State.
the school in question isnt a public school.

Can you reward me with eternal life?

So, why should i take your ideas/words?
it is so unfortunate that you cant make a discussion that is on topic, maybe 'kingdom hall' is a bible phrase. Have a nice day

Van, the above on pope johnpaul has been passed through tinted lens, the pope never said evolution was a fact, he said in 1950 pope puis talked about evolution as hypothesis but at present recent study has showed it is more than an hypothesis I.e a theory

una don start again with long arguement on law and grace abi?
I thought alwaytrue had ended the whole arguement when he clearly and biblically argue that he who works by the law of the spirit or rather by the spirit has himself fulfilled the law of the flesh.
So my dear friends what are we argueing about?
Christianity Etc › Re: Atheists Becoming More Aggressive In America by Ubenedictus(m): 1:36am On May 16, 2013
i believe science should be taught in science class and religion in religion class. If biblical approach to dinosaurs was a science topic then i think there is a poblem, if not then what are the complains about, let the religious people give their approach to dinosaurs.
To the question of what catholicism teach, we teach God created the universe, these and like principles are doctrinal with a lot of room for the posibilities, so theistic evolution may be valid for a catholic. On the otherhand raw evolution is taught in science classes in catholic school.

truthislight: Keep disturbing yourself, those words are not found in the bible, or, why not show us those words in the bible if they are bible words?

If you cannot show us those words in the bible, then, everly keep your peace cause those are not bible words. QED.
and my point is that the words don't need to be found in the kjv for it to discribe a biblical reality!
I don't need to show you the word instead you should provide the authority that say a word shouldn't be used in a bible discussion if d word isn't in the bible.

Boomark: Psalm 135:15-18
15 The idols of the nations are
silver and gold, made by the hands
of men. 16 They have mouths, but
cannot speak, eyes, but they cannot
see; 17 they have ears, but cannot
hear, nor is there breath in their
mouths. 18 Those who make them
will be like them, and so will all
who trust in them.

When you kneel before the image of that Jesus to pray, look at it carefully and see if it does not possess these characteristics of an idol. This is how catholics reduced their Jesus to the state of an idol.

The works of satan and his demons. In a spirit and true worship, satan has no tool to insult our God.
hehehe the last time i checked, the cherubs on top of the ark also had the characteristics listed above.

Christianity Etc › Re: In Defence Of Catholics (Accusation On Worshiping Statues) by Ubenedictus(m): 2:21pm On May 10, 2013
Boomark: Worshiping the Father in spirit and in truth takes place simultaneously.

Summarily, one has to cultivate the fruitage of the spirit, Gal 5:22. This one thing that makes us acceptable in the presence of God whenever we pray.

We walk by faith, not by sight. We hope on things not seen. Faith in Christ must not be contaminated by man made images of him. God warned us against this. And it shows a lack of true knowledge on how to go to God through Christ.

Those who hold unto the traditions of men worship God in vain, Mark 7:7. Wherever God is not present, demons take control. There is no other tradition except you faith in Christ(Grace) and doing good works(love). To avoid mistakes, hold unto these things, they are in the scripture and enough to get you in to the kingdom of God instead of word of the mouth tradition where men are free to practice lawlessness.

Click on my recent posts on grace gospel, you will see that those who practice the law are under the curse of the law. Images, candle, etc are not part of true worship.
u don turn to God wey dey recieve worship?

Hehehe,
musKeeto: @Ube: I posted this on an earlier thread discussing same issue..
Maybe my analogy is wrong... would like your views..
your analogy wasn't bad at all. That is why ihed views of God not looking according to the past and future is beautiful. But i wont go there instead i'll take your analogy piece by piece.

Yes, omniscience implies infallible knowledge. He knows exactly the sequence mr a will choose. If i am analising from my position in time i'll say God has forseen the choice mr a will make and has forseen it infallibly, mr a doesn't neccesarily bends to God vision, no! Instead God has forsaw mr a's choices. GOD SAW WHAT MR A WILL DO WITH HIS FREEWILL, he doesn't have to compel mr a.

Simply put human freedom isn't abrogated by the infalliable certainty of the divine prevision of future free action.
Just the way that through your remembrance you do not oblige that which is past to have occured, so God through His prescience does not compel that which shall be in the future to happen
Christianity Etc › Re: A Question For The 'Believer'... by Ubenedictus(m): 1:31pm On May 10, 2013
truthislight: There are TOO MANY coinage of words/concepts in christiandom that are not found in the bible itself but Given a definition according to human understanding and then attempting to use the bible to justify them.

Are the following words found in the bible itself? :

1. Ominisciece
2. Omnipotent
3. Ominipresence
4. Rapture
5. Purgatry
6. Limbo
7. "Immortalsoul"
8. Transubstantiation
9. Easter/christmas(etc)
10. Trinity

(I stand corrected if those ^ exact words are found in the bible)

humans having coined out those words and defining them end up creating confussion for themselves and for the bible.

Then started the debate that detracts from the essence of the bible simple message = eternal life for humans.

Smh.
your understanding of language is just disturbing!

Very disturbing!

You don't need the exact words to be in the bible! Omniscient-know all thing, do you need the word omniscient to be there before you believe God is omniscient?? No. Does the bible say God know all things? Yes. Does that mean he is omniscient? Yes!

So how come you need the word omniscient in the bible?

Logicboy03: Seriously, bro?
seriously dear friend! In my theology Predestination isn't the same thing as omniscience and predestination isn't predetermination. Hence i asked you and still ask you.
What exactly is your point dear?
Surely you dont buy all this stuff you just mentioned? Please tell me you dont? shocked

If God had so much love for us that He needed to create us then why didnt He do the LOVING thing and remove sin from us rather than killing us and committing all out genocide due to His fury at our weakness which He created in us. As our creator He is at fault for our evils nad sins. We should be allowed to sue Him for our ills in life.
i'm a bit curious about how we will appreciate good if there were no evil, how we will appreciate light if there were no darkness. Unfortunately that isn't the point of the thread.
