I pray daily for a world where we all will appreciate the sanctity of human life, a gift to be treasured above all.

I pray that even the aged may learn that life itself is a gift, whether it is in sickness, indifference or health and even a dying man so far he is alive is of powerful potential.

Christianity EtcRe: Why Was The Book Of Enoch Removed From The Bible? by Ubenedictus(m): 10:54am On May 02, 2018
ApostleT:
The book of Enoch was not removed from the bible as your question alleges. The book of Enoch was not added to the canonical books of the Roman Catholic Church, the eastern orthodox church and the Christian (protestant) church. You may also want to note that the bibles these three Christian groups carry differ. The Protestants have 66 books, the Catholics about 79 or so, and the orthodox bible has about 80 books or so.

I have read the book of Enoch and I consider it inspired like the Coptic Christians of Ethiopia but then I have no authority to add it to the bible. But again there are all sorts of book in the book of Enoch. There is the book of Noah, several fragments, which might have been a reason the council rejected it.
both the Orthodox Church and the Catholic Church are Christian... why do you suddenly call the Protestant denominations the "Christian" Church when they actually are the newest people to even use the name

Christianity EtcPope Francis Goes For Home To Home Visits In Ostia by Ubenedictus(op):
The Holy Father startled residents of Ostia, who
had been expecting a parish priest

As parish priests throughout Italy do during the Easter season, Pope Francis has spent an afternoon going door to door and blessing homes.

Continuing the “Mercy Friday” visits he began during the Year of Mercy, Pope Francis chose a public housing complex in Ostia, a Rome suburb on the Mediterranean Sea.

The Vatican press office said that Fr Plinio Poncina, pastor of Stella Maris parish, put up signs announcing that a priest would be visiting the neighbourhood to bless houses.
The signs, which indicate a date and give a time frame, are a common sight in Italy in the weeks before and after Easter.

“It was a great surprise today when, instead of the pastor, the one ringing the door bells was Pope Francis,” the press office said.
“With great simplicity, he interacted with the families, he blessed a dozen apartments” and left rosaries for the residents.
“Joking, he apologised for disturbing people. However, he reassured them that he had respected the hour of silence for a nap after lunch in accordance with the sign posted at the
entrance to the building,” the press office said.

The Pope’s Friday visits to hospitals and hospices, homes for children, rehab centres and other places of care were planned for the Year of Mercy as tangible ways for the Pope to practise the corporal and spiritual works of mercy.
Although the Year of Mercy ended in November, the Pope restarted making Mercy Friday visits in March when he visited a home and educational centre for the blind and visually impaired.

you may say that, I could even go and provide written records and you'll say they were made up.

I know how the argument goes, I have been in one of such.

but for me, the issue isn't about the "records", the proof that Jesus existed is the faith of his Church, many who lived around his time testify to it, even at the cost of their lives and that lived testimony it for me a reality.

if any would deny the life of Christ even with such vigorous witness from the early Church, then I simply consider such persons biased with an agenda, such person could deny anything.

If we were to look into scripture, Jesus rebuked the Pharisees, because they wouldn't do anything unless they were glorified from men..
The Catholic Church have pulled of all sorts of hog washed stories, to keep the Church believing, the story of Patmos, and what better way was to use 3 children, to tell this story.
The Virgin Mary stories, she is seen in the hearts of the believers, does anybody see Jesus? This so called crippled man does not glorify God, instead he stood up on the pulpit to tell his story, how the priest had healed him..
The day's are becoming shorter, and soon the Christ will return, be ready in season and out of season, because no-one knows when He will come, NO-NOT ONE, watch Therefore, because He will come as a thief, when no-one is watching.

If you really like Lizzie then prove it by praying for her' to bring her back to Christ! Leaving God' behind to follow after another , isn't her best choice! She left the Church to become a sun worshipper, bowing down to other god's-hail Mary Mother of God.
"Yes we all like Lizzie..She needs to be saved, and come into the knowledge of Christ, knowledge comes from the Word of God.
{Proverbs 2: 5-7} Then you will discern the fear of the LORD And discover the knowledge of God. For the LORD gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity,…
{Proverbs 19:1} Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity Than he who is perverse in speech and is a fool.
Lizzie is already saved, she has repented, she believes and has been baptized, now she has also received the apostolic faith and she is now in the church Christ established, worshipping the triune God in the communion of saints.

she has knowledge of the truth, she has knowledge of Christ, the Way the Truth and the life and she has come to the church he established, " the Pillar and bulwark of truth ".

if you managed to watch her videos you would see she studies the scripture and also hold firmly to the tradition just as the Bible says.

you guys should take time to read up on the lies you spread.

Alberto Rivera was a conspiracy theorist with a phenomena track record for lying who claims the Catholic church is responsible for almost every disaster ever recorded...

Rivera claimed that the Jesuit order was responsible for the
creation of communism , Islam , and Nazism , and causing the
World Wars , recession , the Jonestown Massacre , and the
assassinations of Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy (a
Catholic). Rivera further claims that the Catholic Church
wants to spread homosexuality and abortion notwithstanding
the church's stated opposition to homosexual acts and
abortion, that the Charismatic Movement is somehow a "front"
for the Catholic Church. He further claimed that the Popes
are antichrists , and that the Catholic Church is the LovePeddler of
Babylon.[4] He has also claimed that the Jesuits were the
masterminds behind the Medieval Inquisition in the 13th
century. [5] The Jesuits were in fact founded in 1534.

Lol this man has been hardened by God himself.
This is his role on earth, to blaspheme God and turn others away from God. He that is evil will continue being evil. He is a dead man already who God hates.
you mean blasphemies like this?

If we—all of us—accept the grace of Jesus
Christ, he changes our heart and from sinners
makes us saints. To become holy we do not need
to turn our eyes away and look somewhere else,
or have as it were the face on a holy card! No,
no, that is not necessary. To become saints only
one thing is necessary: to accept the grace that
the Father gives us in Jesus Christ. There, this
grace changes our heart. We continue to be
sinners for we are weak, but with this grace
which makes us feel that the Lord is good, that
the Lord is merciful, that the Lord waits for us,
that the Lord pardons us—this immense grace
that changes our heart.
Pope Francis , The Church of Mercy

“ Before all else, the Gospel invites us to respond
to the God of love who saves us, to see God in
others and to go forth from ourselves to seek
the good of others.
Pope Francis , Evangelii Gaudium: The Joy of the
Gospel

“ Jesus on the cross feels the whole weight of the
evil, and with the force of God's love he
conquers it; he defeats it with his resurrection.
This is the good that Jesus does for us on the
throne of the cross. Christ's cross, embraced
with love, never leads to sadness, but to joy, to
the joy of having been saved and of doing a little
of what he did on the day of his death.

Love is not words, it is work and service. A humble service,
performed in silence and concealed, as Jesus Himself said:
'When you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know
what your right hand is doing.' " And this service is shown
also when "we make available to the community the gifts the
Holy Spirit has granted us, so that it may grow", and when
"we share material goods so that no-one may be in need. This
sharing and dedication to those in need is a style of life that
God suggests also to many non-Christians, as a way of
authentic humanity."
-- Jubilee audience, March 12, 2016

All life has inestimable value even the weakest and most
vulnerable, the sick, the old, the unborn and the poor, are
masterpieces of God's creation, made in his own image,
destined to live forever, and deserving of the utmost
reverence and respect.

To love God and neighbor is not something abstract, but
profoundly concrete: it means seeing in every person the
face of the Lord to be served, to serve him concretely. And
you are, dear brothers and sisters, the face of Jesus.

Even in the worst situation of life, God waits for me, God wants to embrace me, God expects me.
Jesus understands our weaknesses and sins; and he forgives usif we allow ourselves to be forgiven.

Being Christian involves joining one’s own life, in all its
aspects, to the person of Jesus and, through Him, to the Father.
The Lord asks us to be men and women who radiate the truth,
beauty and the life-changing power of the Gospel.

just imagine all those blasphemies see all his stupid blasphemies

Christianity EtcRe: Can A Married Priest Wedd In Catholic Church? by Ubenedictus(m): 3:57pm On May 01, 2018
FECOSON:
Since they are still using the order of Melchizedek "you are a priest forever" is it possible for a resigned/excommunicated Catholic priest to till be wedded in Catholic church if he marry?
first, resignation and excommunication are not the same thing. A priest can resign and still be in good standing with the church... there are Catholic priest who resigned and are still very OK with the church some are still employed by the church in teaching capacity.

but once their resignation is accepted they are relieved of their faculties and prevented from any duties relating to their Catholic priesthood....

a resigned Catholic priest can also request to be relieved of his vows like the celibacy promise. if he is relieved of his promise then he can marry like any other Catholic in the church and it is well with him.

excommunication is a totally different thing... those who are excommunicated cannot be given the sacraments except for confession and anioting of the sick... unless their excommunication is lifted.

last year pope Francis created a jurisdiction for "Antiochene" Catholics in West and central Africa, just as there are Roman Catholics who sometimes pray in Latin (Christian evangelised by the church of Rome just as Rome was evangelised by the apostles Peter and Paul), there are also antiochene Catholics (evangelised by the church of Antioch) who actually preserved public worship in Syrian languages.

this eparchy is for the Maronite antiochene church which preserve its rites in Aramaic and has a good presence in the middle east particularly Lebanon, their bishop trace apostolic succession to Antioch and St peter.

the new bishop is chiorbishop Simon faddoul he was the Head of caritas in Lebanon and was responsible for over 1,000,000
refugees whom he served admirable.

the Catholic church is a communion of 23 churches each with their own rites and laws all in communion with the pope.

while most Nigerian Catholic belong to the Latin Catholic church with Latin rite, bishop Simon faddoul is a Catholic of the Maronite Catholic church with a variant of the Syrian rite.

Back In March, the internet exploded when Pope Francis, the most revered religious leader in the world made a statement concerning a very critical topic in Christendom.

His comment not only left most Christians confused with others disassociating themselves from him. Other Christians rushed to the bible immediately they heard the pope say that "Hell Fire does not exist".

You’re heard that right, if you are a Christian then you should know what that means and why it should have you worried. If you are a Jehovah Witness, then you have no problem, you didn't believe it existed anywhere. Don’t worry we got it all on video for you to watch and download for free, so you don’t miss a thing.

BluntTheApostle:
I employed the word "Roman" to clarify a point. It is not to create a debate.

My point is, there was no "Roman" Catholic Church until after the split.

The Catholic Church (the "Roman" ) did not happen until after the split. Before the split, there was a single church which would split into two.

If you have materials supporting the claim that there had been a conscious Catholic Church (as of today) before the split, I would like to read it. Until then, my argument remains that the word "Catholic" identified a single assembly which would later split into the Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church.

Even today, just as the Catholic Church claims to be the Church that Christ established in Jerusalem, the Orthodox churches do too.
there was always a Roman Catholic Church since about AD64, the Church of Rome and its environs.

that one Church that existed before the split was presided over by the Church of Rome.

Ignatius of Antioch
Follow your bishop, every one of you, as obediently as
Jesus
Christ followed the Father. Obey your clergy too as you
would
the apostles; give your deacons the same reverence
that you
would to a command of God. Make sure that no step
affecting
the Church is ever taken by anyone without the
bishop’s
sanction. The sole Eucharist you should consider valid
is one
that is celebrated by the bishop himself, or by some
person
authorized by him. Where the bishop is to be seen,
there let all
his people be; just as, wherever Jesus Christ is present,
there
is the Catholic Church (Letter to the Smyrneans 8:2
[A.D. 110 ]).
In like manner let everyone respect the deacons as they
would
respect Jesus Christ, and just as they respect the
bishop as a
type of the Father, and the presbyters as the council of
God and
college of the apostles. Without these, it cannot be
called a
Church. I am confident that you accept this, for I have
received
the exemplar of your love and have it with me in the
person of
your bishop. His very demeanor is a great lesson and
his
meekness is his strength. I believe that even the
godless do
respect him (Letter to the Trallians 3:1-2 [ A. D. 110 ]).
The Martyrdom of Polycarp
When finally he concluded his prayer, after
remembering all who
had at any time come his way – small folk and great
folk,
distinguished and undistinguished, and the whole
Catholic
Church throughout the world – the time for departure
came. So
they placed him on an ass, and brought him into the
city on a
great Sabbath (The Martyrdom of Polycarp 8 [A.D.
110 ]).
Irenaeus
The Catholic Church possesses one and the same faith
throughout the whole world, as we have already said
( Against
Heresies 1:10 [A.D. 189]).
