It didn't hit you as you were screwing her that you were married with kids? There is nothing anyone can say that would be of importance now. I do hope your wife finds out the truth.

In fact, I am reading one of his books "Retire Young Retire Rich" presently and it is highly motivational.
That is as much I could say about the dude's book. Its just motivational.

As for having unique ideas (emphasis on unique) ideas of making money, cant say I found anything really new. Its all old ideas repackaged in a palatable way to feed the minds of those who are in dire need of motivation.

Since when did a "protest" turn  into some form of humiliation?
Foreign AffairsRe: Stem Cell Research And Other Issues: A Political Perspective by Uche2nna(m): 5:06pm On Mar 11, 2009
Allowing stem cell research in the US is just a matter of time. My take is that they are even jumping on the bandwagon late cos the European and Japanese universities have really made a lot of break through in this field. Stem cells and its downstream applications is the future of medicine.

The republicans have raised a lot of concerns and if U sieve out all the political persuasions , those concerns are kinda genuine. However, if U weigh the definite potentials of this technology against some of the concerns that might be encountered, the good outweighs the bad.

The same dilemma was encountered when the sequencing of the human genome was being contemplated. A committee was set up called the Ethical, Legal and Social Issues (ELSI) which came up with guidelines (basically do's and dont's) which investigators are supposed to adhere to. I hope Obama toes the same line and set up some kind of committee that would oversee the ethical concerns of this field.

@ Richyblack

Ur distrust should not translate to U being at the mercy of rumor peddlers. If someone wants to start a thread and a defamatory thread at that, the least one would ask is a source.

Hearsay doesnt cut it for me. I hear stuff everyday. Weather I believe all is a different matter.

I like ur parenting style. Knowing from my mom's experience, it would sure take a lot keep everybody on track (lol).

U are not alone with the raising of the voice thingy. Very common in ma household. And sometimes when the shouting was not doing the thing (which is most of the time grin) , momsy supplements with the cane. Ouuuchhh!!!!

When I tell peeps here in the US about some whipping sessions I got from ma parents, they start feeling sorry for me as if I was abuised or something  shocked And then when I tell them that I am grateful for all those whippings, it knocks them off thier tracks.  grin
TravelRe: Nigerians In South Africa by Uche2nna(m): 7:01pm On Mar 09, 2009
This is so disgusting and sickening that it makes me want to puke. Its terrible, to say the least. Dont care what ethnicities those guys are from but they dont deserve to be inhaling God's given air.

I have some questions tho

1) Why is that most of those girls are white? My impression is that it seems easier to lure them to that kind of life style but I dont know why.

2) How do they get their supply of girls and from where? I know they say , they force feed them drug and all that stuff but something has to be wrong with those girls to start with. I feel that those guys cashed in on an already existing dysfunctional system.

3) The narrator kept saying the "Clients" and I cant help but wonder who those clients are. Nigerians, too?

4) This is going to the OP. U specifically mentioned "Ibos". I took time to watch the whole 20 minutes (not fun , especially when the guy kept saying Nigerians sad) but nothing on the whole session made me conclude that the perpetrators were all Ibos. Did I miss something or are U just making an outlandish assumption?

In anycase, this is so disgusting. Thanks for ruining my afternoon.
PoliticsRe: Meltdown: Fashola Bans Foreign Medical Treatment by Uche2nna(m): 4:28pm On Mar 09, 2009
Big B1:
I think Fashola should continue to develop, he has the potential to be even greater. But we must also never rush into making a lizard a king.

I've advocated for banning foreign medical treatment/ studying in abroad for many years; and it is very nice to see the beginning of the implementation.
I agree with the banning of foreign medical treatment. That would only spur those mofo's to think twice about stealing money meant for the medical field.

About the scholarship thingy, I am not so sure. Cant fathom how scholarships can be bad especially if it is given to promising students.

Big B1:
Furthermore, leading Lagos State is not the same as leading Nigeria as a country.
True dat.

But if any state can claim to be a representative of Nigeria, it got to be Lagos. Fashola is on the right path.

RichyBlacK:
I have heard cases of cannibalism in the South East as well as in the South West, by Igbos as well as Yorubas, by Christians as well as Muslims. Anybody making any claim that any group has cannibalism as "standard practice" is making a statement out of prejudice than out of facts.

By the meaning of the word "standard", it means that those who are not cannibals in that group are deviants.
Take away the ethnic bigots we have on Nl, this pretty much sums up the whole discussion.

@ Asha,
UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development organization) flagged Nnewi for automobile ingenuity. If our govt was not lousy, Nnewi should have been the Japan of nigeria in terms of auto stuffs.
Was Nnewi flagged cos of
A) Manufacturing
B) Assembling
C) Selling
D) or just repairing  undecided

I cant think of any automobile manufacturing plant in Nnewi but I do know of Innoson's plans. However, I dont think his plans included manufacturing. He was about to enter into some deal with some Chinese firm to start an ASSEMBLY PLANT in Nnewi. Dont know what happened to that tho.
PoliticsRe: My Message To Nuru Ribadu And Why Corruption Can Be Useful Tool For Development by Uche2nna(m): 8:42pm On Mar 06, 2009
This is the most misleading piece I have read on NL.

Stop comparing the activities of the Mafia and the Jewish struggle for survival with the mind boggling greed that runs haywire in the Nigerian Government.

Go and read about the origin of the Mafia,  this was an organisation that essential started with the downtrodden and poverty stricken men who wanted to make a living. There was a need for survival . An analagous thing happened with the Jews.

Now lets take a look at the Nigerian situation. Is there need for survival amongst our politicians or is it just pure animalistic greed?
Teachers are not paid, Educational system is in shambles , No power or water , roads are in terrible condition as a result of the activities of these corrupt politicians and yet someone sees some good in it  undecided  Nigerians are funny.
