I remember the day I wrote my last paper NECO December 7th 2006, as we were dropping our pen there were mobile police at standby….They gave us 20 mins to pack all our loads and evacuate the hostel…it was very clumsy cuz we had plan to turn the school upside down after ur last paper but I guess our PRINCIPAL anticipated that. Anyways it was crazy cuz we had to hoist all our loads through public transport and our valedictory service was cancelled (now that was really annoying cuz we had planned to boy cott it anyways to spite the Principal) but I guess once again she won

Jay-Z – Hey papi
Even if they don't understand the flow
They understand the dough

Jay-Z on Kanye West’s – Never let you down
first i snatched the street then i snatched the charts,
First I had they ear now i have their heart,

Jay-Z – is that your chick
I mean a hostess for my open hand
You coming home to dishes and empty soda cans
I got your bitch up in my Rover man
I never kiss her, I never hold her hand
In fact I diss her I'm a bolder man
I'mma love-vendor her, it's over man

Propose to her on Vals day, alongside with the diamond engagement ring there could be a matching wristwatch or necklace or something…
Then for the ladies you can get your guy a designer wallet, a set of boxers and bake a cake for him

All those supporting the discrimination against people with 2.2 and 3rd class simply because they got 1st class or 2.1 are simply those who are afraid to take the same test or exams with those who came out with 2.2 and 3rd class. They know very well that their performance(s) in the test will be poor compared to what people with 2.2 and 3rd class will get. They are doing everything possible to save themselves from disgrace and embarrassment. We know all these things i beg. It's the same thing with HND and Bsc too, the Bsc holders are always afraid to write the same test with HND holders for fear of being disgraced. Thatz why i love ICAN; it is show your skills and not show your class of Degree or HND, and the HND guys have been doing better or showing their skills there. Some Bsc holders with 1st class and 2.1 have been writing ICAN exams for the past 6 years and have not been able to qualify; some of them have even given up!! while most HND guys clear the exams within 2 years.
How pathetic and lame

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Kpmg Vs Nnpc Vs Diamond Bank by uchetobi(f): 4:34pm On Feb 01, 2007
who is informing u dat banks pay more dan KPMGhuh Hw many banks have entry level at 2M plushuh Abeg my own views are as follows; rule the bank out, no career development! If you want to practice in your line of study go to NNPC. If not am all for KPMG: pay is good, good working environment, u can go to consulting , Business advisory( u wont have to do ican at all except of course u have interest in accounting then u can go to audit or tax; KPMG on your CV will put you into any door in future…just incase you feel like you are up to a change, that aside you gain on the job experience working on exciting projects and developing yourself….

Hotstepper:
I don't know where in abraod they request for your grades because not where I am, when you are called for intreview, what you answered will determine whether you will get it or not. Limiting just to 2.1 for employers to make their job easy is something I do not agree with knowing what Nigerian educational system is like. Everyone should be given the opportunity to come for an interview if they reach the requirement of the job they are advertsing.

Also, this issue of SEX, GRADE, SEX OR ORIGIN should be removed in the CV,
That is for those doing blue collar jobs like working in departmental stores okhuh

ishmael:
I feel lost when I read posts such as these. I find it very strange, maybe because I attended OAU Ife but I have to say that if you are worthy of a 2:1 in Ife you will get it. A lot of smart folks get it. And when people talk about buying 2:1 for 250,000, again I wonder which school that applies to. My own experience in Ife was that the rich folks who were club boys (always partying) were the ones who always had like 2 sessions extra even though they can afford to pay money. There might be one or two lecturers who collect money but they are a very proportion and you will definitely come across those principled lecturers who don't take shit from no one and you just don't have a choice but read (or cheat if you can manage to do it without getting caught - a difficult proposition).

The truth be told: every dog has its day. If you are screened out based on your grade, look elsewhere. Maybe it's the push you need for the giant in you to be unveiled. You don't have to work for anybody you know - AT LEAST YOU CAN'T BE RICH THAT WAY.

But pleaseeeeeeeeeeee, let's stop saying people who got 2:1 don't deserve it and people who didn't do, IT JUST AIN'T TRUE.

Career › Re: Why Should NNPC And LNG Discriminate Between 2-1 And 2-2? by uchetobi(f): 12:04pm On Feb 01, 2007
The bottom line is that NNPC or LNG determine their criteria without your permission or consent (obviously). If you don’t meet up then too bad. If they said 2.2 and above 3rd class people willm still complain. If they say 3rd class and above pass will complain. If they say a university degree with no classification WASCE holders will still complain… am sure with that criteria (2.1 and above) they will still get more applications than they require. So my dear try other places NNPC or LNG Is not theonly place u can get job. You never know but am sure there is a position some where God is reserving uniquely for you ok? cheers and good luck

P.S and for those always saying its not everybody that has 2.1 and above that worked for it.
Am tired of that pathetic line. Its just a way of making excuses for your inability to Come out with a desired resulthuh I don’t know how people reasonhuh I can imagine going home and telling my Dad that I couldn’t make a 2.1 because 2.1 degree holders bought their degree…. Give me a break mehn… that is crap. Lok beyond your noses… am sure they were a lot of people in your department that made 2.1 and deserved it,  because they went the extra mile by reading and paying attention in class. Am not taking a swipe at 2.2 and below…please NOTE this but am sick and tired of people trying to make excuses 4 themselves…maybe it frustration sha…. Anyhow like someone pointed out…everyone cannot make first class or 2.1…. so keep praying for that unique place God has reserved for you and quit hating on others

Vieira:
babyface,

There are things to do and visit in London, if you have the right hookup.

Remember the people you are visiting are probably too busy working to have time to show you the right places.

They also might not even know them.

80% of Nigerians in London only do Naija things, becuase they do not like expanding their world view.

If you come from Naija to London I don't know why people are asking to go to Niaja joints and Naija raveshuh

You need to do the tourist thing.

Do the westend

Do the museums

Do rides

Go out of london

But all of this will cost and you'll need someone with time on his hand to show you around.

The westend you can go there and spend all day and still have stuff to do.

What made me laugh was the comment of your cousins showing off when they come to naija. you are wondering how they can afford it.

Simple: People save up for Holidays!!

No one lives the same way on Holiday the rest of the year now.

Even Oyinbo will save up for a lavish holiday and then come back and start scraping money together for the next one.

So what your cousins do is the norm all around the world.
well said

Halle vs Genny?i don't want to look at being popular here, but hey! Genny for life.i know most you guys are saying Halle because she's hit it big, she's got it all but wow beauty cannot be described by fortune no!halle is non by the world because of the $$$$$ she has.honestly if you compare the two, Genny is the most beautiful.Genevieve you are so beautiful this i can't hide from you especially for your age.and guys remember that the so-called 'superstars' are culprits of plastic surgery.they 'd rather go for it in the name of retaining their beauty.
or the succcess its the beauty
