Once the password has been set, tap on the “Next” button.

You will be prompted to import photos, files or videos from First Space to your Second Space. Tap on on the Next button if you want to skip.

Now you will be asked to import apps from First Space to your Second Space on your Xiaomi smartphone.

Once done, tap on the “OK” button and your ‘Second Space’ is ready to be used.


Once the Second Space has been set up on your Xiaomi smartphone, it can be accessed from the app drawer and notification panel with the help of a password or fingerprint.

Cos of this feature, my mum and I use my phone together without disturbing each other.

All she needs to do to access her own space is just to unlock the phone with her fingerprint or her password from the lockscreen and that's all. Note that for the password/pin to be able to unlock the second space from the lockscreen meaning that if the first space has 5 characters as the pin, the second space must be made up of 5 characters too. I too gbadun that feature.

Separate apps, separate google accounts, separate wallpapers, separate themes, separate messages, separate contacts. The only shared things are sim cards, network and call logs.

Generally speaking, the phone is very good. However, I can't vouch for that particular unit cos I don't know it's condition.

So, I interviewed a police officer this morning and I must say my heart was broken.

I asked if SARS is police as I had already known.
The police officer said yes--a unit under the FIID department of the NPF.

Who are the SARS individuals we see?
Like all other police officers, they are police officers who were either picked to join the unit or volunteers as the case is in most instances. You may have noticed that they are usually low ranked. This is because they are mostly fresh recruits sourced from amongst the youths of Nigeria.

What's their duty?
Anti-Robbery but obviously, they have willingly and intentionally lost focus.

Do they have a special right to shoot?
All policemen under the right circumstances have the right to shoot. Well, a SARS official can always paint the right circumstances to fire. And that stress is even needless since they are usually not on uniforms and without identifications. (That's why you all say "SARS this SARS that" but cannot point one out by their name ��). And yea, every member of the SARS has a gun booked to him.

Are SARS officers allowed to work without uniform?
Yes. It is believed that it aids their job. Without uniform, they can lay ambush on their suspects. Without name tags, they have privacy, for security reasons.

What impact have the protests had so far in relation to the SARS issue?
They will most likely be disbanded or reformed. Either way, the same set of people who have turned the SARS to a terrorist group will still purge other units and the new unit that will be formed.

Why are SARS members so concerned about yahoo boys than robbers?
I guess cos most of them are yahoo boys. Most of them joined the NPF to shield themselves from the police and to further perpetuate their criminal acts. You only know of the roadside members, you don't know of the educated yahoo SARS members

Are SARS members accountable like every other police officer?
Yes, very much accountable theoretically.

Can't the government totally scrap the unit?
Yes, they can. And that will ensure unofficial robbery. Trust me, not every SARS member you see is a police officer. Some are genuine robbers. My son, don't try to find out o.

Way forward?
The NPF has a Monitoring department put in place to monitor the activities of every police officer. Let's hope they do their job well.
