Education › Re: I Need A Detailed Explanation To This Funny But Real Logic Question. by Ufedolove: 8:12pm On Jul 07, 2019 |
Both premises are actually valid, therefore the conclusion "therefore, God is blind" is a valid conclusion deduced from the valid premises.
However, a valid conclusion deduced from valid premises does not necessarily mean it is correct and true.
Another example below:
Ufedolove is a man (premise 1, true and valid) Men are dogs (premise 2, valid but not true) Therefore, Ufedolove is a dog (valid but not true) |

Awoleesu: I have this thing that gives me concern seriously!
There are some places I have never really visited, but while there for the first time (in reality) I begin to fathom I have knowledge of the place... A strong and real feeling that I have been there before (sometimes in the past)! And before you know it, I'll find my way very easily (like one familiar with the area) within the place! This happened in my first visits to Kaduna, Onitsha, Calabar and even some places within Lagos, where I really haven't been to before!
What could be responsible for this? It's called deja vu or so. It occurs when an event seems to you like a clear replay of what you've seen somewhere before and you could rightly predict the next line of action! We are the same. As a matter of fact, once I anticipate an event, I could envision how it will happen and it would most like be so. Even for football games, I could predict to myself which side would win by how many goals scored by which players and when!!! |

Well, I'm sort of reincarnated. My grandad died and I was born a few days later with many of his traits that I was named after him.
Modified
In Igalaland, Kogi state, we believe in reincarnation and the happenings around just so conform with the belief. A typical example of the one I witnessed is my dad's death which I saw in the dream, vision and felt it live. It was so real that the clothes he wore in the dream and vision was the last he wore as a breathing man. He died in a motor accident (never got the vision of how he was going to die though). As a kid, I never took them serious so I left them to myself until it was dawn on me when I started reliving my dreams and visions but now in reality. He had a scratch on his forehead and a bruise on his right knee before he was buried.
My mum's younger sister gave birth to a bouncing baby boy a couple of weeks later. The resemblance this boy shared with my dad was suspicious (in another society, the woman's faithfulness in marriage would have been questioned) but our traditions doesn't tolerate marital unfaithfulness. So, if you see a standing marriage, believe me, the wife has not indulged in any form of marital unfaithfulness. As if the striking resemblance was not enough, he had a scratch on his forehead and a bruise on his right knee. Yea, you guessed right. He was my dad reincarnated. Now, if a child is suspected to be reincarnated, there's this traditional ritual rights to be performed to buy the child from the world of the dead else, such child will return (we call it "adawa" in Igala. You can ask any Igala person you know). In the case of the bouncing baby boy in question, things were slow and the boy eventually died of a strange illness. RIP dad and Victor.
I believe in reincarnation but believe what you want to believe.
I've seen more things that won't make sense to you but I know they exist like you and I |

Meanwhile, only in a BACKWARD country is the coercive power of the state used by a PRIVATE individual against fellow citizens. In civilized countries, the power of the state (especially its police powers) are used to protect protesters and to accord them the freedom to exercise their constitutional rights of free expression. In Nigeria, even some NLers believe that “BIG men” have MORE rights than the average citizen. SMH > Ok sir |

Ijaya123: And what will the meeting achieve? Exercise in futility.
If the rape actually occur, I expect the the victim to file criminal charges against the pastor, and not go on tv to grant an interview.
I also have a question for the woman, the accuser, how do you get raped as a virgin and not scream out in pains to attract the attention of the other family member that was in the house when the rape was going on?
More question than answers I guess. I’m also aware that Timi Dakolo is planning a 7-day protest against the pastor and the church. Is that the court where redress is sought for a criminal case like this?
I think there is more to this than the rape case being alleged. This is the question I've been asking since ooo! You were raped, fine. Why grant an interview instead of pressing charges? What happened to writing statement at the police station? Then protest? Nah nah nah! Nothing is sensible here. Someone is trying to bring another down |

This is a social media case. None of us here was there to witness the rape, so we don't know what is what. As a skeptical person that I am, I don't just buy sh!ts poured on social media these days cos my brain has been toyed with enough. Dear lady, if you were truly raped by Pastor Fatoyinbo, kindly go to court and sue instead of causing controversies on social media.
By the way, why do ladies keep rape allegations until when the rapist becomes famous, influential or rich? Is it just a mere coincidence?
If and when you are raped, report the evil perpetrator immediately; give him no room to devour other souls.
Well, as we have it, the accused remains accused and innocent until proven otherwise.
Nlanders, be wise. Don't judge from social media personalities' words cos it's not in your place to do so. You aren't a jury. |

Phones › Nigeria Is Ready For 5G, NCC Says by Ufedolove(op): 10:57pm On Jun 16, 2019 |
The commission’s Executive Commissioner for Stakeholder Management, Mr. Sunday Dare, said this in Abuja at an interactive session with newsmen. The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has said the country is ready for the 5G bandwidth network for faster and efficient internet services.
This is as the commission said it will soon audit the Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) to determine their level of compliance with the regulation on the registration of Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) cards.
The commission’s Executive Commissioner for Stakeholder Management, Mr. Sunday Dare, said this in Abuja at an interactive session with newsmen.
He said the NCC had been preparing the country for it by bringing together critical stakeholders to examine the legal, regulatory and technology issues, apart from developing a roadmap.
“We have opened up consultations on spectrum for drones, etc. We are proactively leading discussions on the development of new technologies. This does not mean that we are going to discard the 2G, 3G or 4G. Each one of these levels of technologies has its benefits and the fact remains that you have to move from one level to the other,” Dare said.
On the audit of the MNOs, Dare said it was during a similar exercise in August 2015 that the regulatory body found that 5.2 million SIM cards were not properly registered by MTN Nigeria Communications Limited.
This, according to him, led to the imposition of N1.04tn fine on the mobile operator, before it was eventually reduced to N330bn. MTN completed the payment of the fine on May 24. According to him, the exercise was not to make money for the government but to ensure that prescribed processes were complied with.
Speaking on broadband penetration, the NCC official said Nigeria has met the 30 percent milestone and has publicly released the data for everyone to interrogate.
“Those who say we have not are citing old reports from the ITU. They forget that NCC provides the data that ITU uses. We are the custodians of data, and we have specialised methods of measuring. Based on empirical data, we have met and surpassed the target,” he noted. source http://musicstore.com.ng/2019/06/nigeria-is-ready-for-5g-ncc-says/

Westsida: Lol, yeah I can relate. But maybe cos I graduated as an Agric student and I been to diff local settings to learn more about animals. I hardly fear Animals. Years ago, a snake came Into our compound & I was the only one at home that day. So I watch em moving into a nearby hole. I blocked the hole and was giving her food. After 2 days, i unblocked the hole. Then the snake would come out, felt the sun for about 30mins then back into the hole. There was a day it came out to felt the sun. I cooked her a fish with eggs then I placed it at her front. I just wanted to see if it will eat while I was standing. Well, it does! After like 6/7 days, I woke up that morning and saw it had shed it skin off. I didn’t bother to check inside the hole cos after skin shed, they’ll leave the spot & won’t ever come back there again! Amof, no snake go ever come into that house to attack!
This is one sweet thing about what I did. Animals don’t forget Favour! Before snake go bite me or my blood, e go hard gan! Somethings are not miracle, they’re Nature! Animals are not so dangerous compare to humans! Hehehe! I know you had this electrified joy in you while typing this. Well, I would never risk standing in front of any snake all because I did one snake a favour some days ago. Especially for the fact that zookeepers that specialize in snakes or whatever they are called have been reported bitten. I love my life |
