Please don't be talking trash, stop making an argument where there is none. I m getting irritated by the nonsense comparison. I was on NHIS as a student during my degree and I clearly remember when I had a serious heart problem and guess what, the nurses in charge were so rudely talking to me with total disregard, sending me round 3 floors They asked me to go two floors to look for someone with a vague description to sign a document, while she was busy discussing with someone. I came back, then she shouted at me to stop disturbing her, that I should go and look for where she said. All this while, my chest was giving pains. Even after locating the place, the doctor wasnt around, she just told me to go look for another nurse, without any concern just because she was discussing with someone. I.m sure many people here have also experienced something similar.
At that point, I called my folks at home to take me to our private hospital with insurance cover. Since then, I ve ensured I avoided government hospitals in any way I can, unless its not critical at the moment. Thankfully, my family is under insurance from work. How many Nigerians can afford insurance in hospitals with quality healthcare? Is there even a base for comparison? Truth is that I dont use public hospitals for the same reasons, but I decided to give it a try because it was examination period and I didn't want to go too far from school. Reality is that many Nigerians are one critical illness away from death or total bankruptcy which could have easily been treated. I see people die like chickens everyday due to poor health service. You know this, but you wont be concerned because you are not a victim, a common trait in many Nigerians.
You are just saying anything to make yourself feel like you ve made a point without thinking things through. Are you clearly stating that airtel offered health insurance to everyone who loaded N200 credit? No raffle draws involved? Have you checked what the insurance covered?
Please, I understand some people could be patriotic and all, but blind patriotism is just stupid and ridiculous, and to a certain degree, as a result of a self-centered personality.
Don't mind her.....

Genuine ones are scared of whistleblowing to a boss/superior who is a member of the caucus..

Or a police who would turn the case around and you end up being in trouble.. (Am a victim)

True story...
My friend a banker whistleblew on his boss forex deals.

The auditors claimed to find nothing..(boss's paddy)
The guy was transferred from head office to Jos..
He was switched to marketing..
He eventually was layed off after constant target drilling
He lost everything just for wanting to do the right thing
He relocated to the US to start all over again

Just leave all these men. We know their type. They will defend the US. to their last blood when even rich Americans are renouncing their citizenship and moving to other countries because of the high tax rate. If you are able to save $1million in your 401k account CNN Money will profile you. I asked a simple question for them to name a single Nigerian who went to the US. and made millions of dollars or those Nigeria born there who were able to become millionaires, they all avoided my question. Another expensive joke is Nigerians who tell lies about Registered Nurses being rich. America don't consider them rich people, they are just there paying the bills. The only time an RN is gonna be rich is when a Nigerian tells you. It is just a save face profession
You see, based on your comments, I believe your mind set is, bejng successful and living a good life equals amassing a lot of money, or being a millionaire.

Sorry to say, but that is not correct
being successful is measured in more ways than one.

Living a structured life to some is the definition of success

Having plenty money to oppress others to some is the definition of success

Having the good things of life at little cost to others is the definition of success

Amongst others

So for Nigerians who have "oppressive tendencies" will NEVER love to live abroad, that I know for sure. The type of people who like to get away with things because they think they have status....

We know their type, and they are here in this thread

in summary sha, Nigeria is not HELL, things are just more difficult here, that's all

Our Nigerian dictators, called "politicians" are just so smart and wicked. Through sabotaged and deliberate efforts, they keep monitoring and reducing the numbers of foreign investors to Nigeria.

Of course they have a reason, a selfish reason though. They know very well that with the influx of foreign investors, especially the western giants, into the Nigerian economy, we will be liberated.

The rapid developments in places like UAE, Qatar, Barhain, S/Africa are results of invitations to investors.

Imagine Nigerian government officials making visa approvals difficult to citizens from western countries such as USA, Canada, Germany, France etc. So why don't we blame our government officials first before blaming Donald Trump. Imagine Nigeria government issuing a year visa to US Citizens, while they issue us 2 years! rubbish! pls put me in the visa issuing position and you will see me issuing hundreds of visas to these western people everyday. why? of course the answer is simple. They will liberate us!

Imagine the Federal government hoarding international passport booklets! gosh! what for? because they don't want us to liberate, because they need people to govern, people to hail them during election times!
As funny as it sounds, you have a point

Squares are for relaxation. Don't we have relaxation spots in Nigeria? What of millenium park In Abuja?
What do u mean by do we have walkways? Do you live in the forest that u ask such a question?
I have lived in 5 places in Kaduna and one place in Abuja; that Is Gwagwalada. Out of all these places, it's only the place I am living in now that I have not been able to get public supply. In Gwagwalada the water supply was too constant.
As regards security, most places in Nigeria are relatively safe. Nigeria is made up of many states and cities and in most of them security is good. I have never seen an armed robber in my life! Don't generalize.
Please let us not go down that road
Just let the matter rest.

The truth is that Jonathan failed to live up to the expectations of his people.
I don't know who drew his strategies for him but it was abysmally wrong, ever heard the saying that a Hausa man cannot betray his brother for money? probably Jonathan never heard it.
The bro went on developing the North, giving the amalgiris air conditioned classroom, from learning under around trees under the scorching sun of the North to learning in well designed classrooms. SURE P was just wasting money in the north but his own people back at home can not even point a finger to any reputable federal. project executed by his government. But nope, they wouldn't still have any of it, they wanted their own kinsman.
Sometimes I don't even blame the man, the lack of unity in the south might have been his reason for a** licking of the North nevertheless, Jonathan ran one of the most foolish administrations ever, one in which his own people cannot even boast of.
Remember that in the north, Jonatha recorded millions of votes there in 2011.
Those votes vanished en masse in 2015
What happened?

Well, she is wrong in making up unfounded statistics to back up her point but some
set of men who accuses women of bringing nothing to the table will still be the one
to cry foul if the wife becomes wealthier.

Here you commit the same offence as the lady you quoted, how many Nigerian men do you know
to make such a baseless generalisation.

This trait is primarily a male one as you hardly find women who whine about not being in charge of
their home.

Please speak for yourself as you are not a standard of behaviour for all men.

You are right insecure and possessive men are found everywhere in the world.

You should have included the full reference here so that others can check. Mind you when a large segment
of women are working(60% are part of the workforce in the US), is it any surprise that those who are not
are less happier ?
It is called peer pressure and has nothing to do with gender but humans in general.

Since women wants control over everything as you claimed don't you think they should be ecstatic
that they make more money ?

It is normal for men who feel they are losing control of their home to feel unhappy.

Again context matters, please provide the full reference. But will you be surprised
that a full time housewife care more for her surroundings ?

Of course it is not, but that doesn't make it right either.

Of course her stat has no factual basis.

Sorry to burst your bubble you just picked out a statement that support your
position and excluding the context, here is a part of the forbes article I presume you
referenced:

So, if career women are bad marriage bets, so are career men.

And let me leave you with this rebuttal to your reference here:

At the bold, speak for yourself.

Again, you paint a picture of all richer women based on a subjective observation.

When wealth disparity is obvious, this behaviour may be exhibited by the family whether in a man or woman
as people generally tend to marry within their social group and those who don't may be resisted by their in-laws.
Then I ask if someone isn't welcome in a family , why try to prove himself when he can just walk away ?

The last time I checked women gets tagged as gold-diggers more often than men for obvious reasons.

An easy way to solve this problem is to marry an housewife and maybe get a written agreement
that she will never go into business so that your ego won't be bruised.

This is a false statement, control and dominance is the perogative of males,
some men can go to the extreme to exert control over their wife.
Are you aware that a third of women murders in the US is caused by their male partners ?
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/10/09/men-killing-women-domesti_n_5927140.html
And it is primarily for ego, ownership and control reasons. So women naturally wants control theory
does not hold water.

Again, you break your own rule can you point to any survey you did that confirm your position.
You should never have responded if you also believe in making wild assumptions about people
you know little about.

This is a choice any woman can make.

It is as if you know her personally, but if you don't this is a misplaced advice as it
adds nothing to the discussion except to make your opponent look bad.

Because broke ladies got divorced doesn't mean a woman can't be sent parking because she is richer than her husband.
There are no rules on reason why divorce should occur. Someone could be divorced because of cheating while another
due to "lack of respect"or both, they are not always mutually exclusive.

So men should marry women that fits their description of a wife so as not
to end up as frustrated whiners who complain bitterly about how bad women are.
I love the way you broke it down

My submission for about a year now is that BOTH GEJ and PMB have no business running the country.

The high hopes I had for GEJ - which was why I supported in him in 2011 when he won with a landslide - were unceremoniously dashed when I saw the direction the country was headed. Yes he made some modest gains infrastructure-wise and particularly in Agric, but when compared with the funds at his disposal, conservatively put at 51trillion (the highest of any president so far), he should have done much MUCH better. Added of course where the very disturbing allegation of corruption under his watch.

PMB of course has not fared any better. Yes, I will concede he seems to be enjoying a rather prolonged honeymoon with Nigerians, a fact that was recently highlighted by Economist in a recent article, but then again, when you compare the funds his predecessor had, you may see why pepole have chosen to be a little more patient with him.

Has any President taken pains to effectively clean up the voters register and initiate solid moves for an electoral reform (even to his own detriment as the old register would av guaranteed a PDP victory),

Why is Jonathan to blame when the Northern Elders claimed to have the key to BH soln, BH itself was not proscribed as a terrorist group till after 2yrs of mayhem and our own inadequacies led to the arms embargo?

Why is PMB hailed for destroying Boko haram when he has only succeeded in capturing d flag? Did he not accept that he received Nigeria intact at his inauguration?

Was the power privatization not hailed by the Intl community as the most transparent in our history?

Obj who is mature enough for presidency, had his first tenure and only after his rigged second term had d nerve to declare "its no longer business as usual". The EFCC he used as a tool to engage a third term via the back door. He is now hailed as a "performer".

Did we not witness the largest agricultural turn around, irrigation systems and food security under GEJ? Even this admin has attested to it.

Please if we are not slaves to the north, why did we refuse to pay 140 per litre under GEJ but agreed to pay 145 under buhari?

Why has nobody asked how we incurred 15tn debt in just 2yr?

Women, both married or single need to learn how to control their tongues. Let me give u an example, 3 sundays ago I came came home from church around 11am. Few minutes later my wife also arrived home from d church which is just 2buildings from home n started harassing me for not waiting for an after service program I earlier planned to attend n I made her know I had some pending official issues on my laptop to sort out. She simply continued to insult me calling me an 'Antichrist' and that she regrets marrying me, and that when calamity befalls me I will be looking for pastors to pray for me and that I think I can act the way I want cos I have money n DAT I am an embarrassment to her in church for not attending and DAT my biz can even flop cos I choose not to attend blablabla.....
Cos I couldn't concentrate on d official documents I was working on I dressed up to go to the church program for peace to reign only for her to pick the keys to the house n lock the doors saying I only want to go out of the house n leave her, she refused to give me my keys
To prevent a violent confrontation and possible injury to her and my ever bubbly 8month old boy I walked to d balcony of my duplex and jumped down, found a way to open d gate and walked to d church and attended d program. Few minutes after I was seated in church she walked in as if nothing happened.....anyway she later apologized
However if I struggled with her n got her injured while trying to get my keys u can imagine wat d story will be......or I lost my calm n hit her..

Summary women should try to control their tongue and actions while men should try to control their temperament and do whatever is necessary for peace to reign....
