BabaTony: What stupid brand are people talking about.is it academics? I don't think so. The only brand unilag is known for is prostitution, the highest number of female prostitutes with the internationally recognised aristos throwing nigeria's stolen money around.
See the rubbish you wrote. Who says unilag is known for prostitution? Don't you know that unilag has produced great people? Just stay outta it.
Education › Re: I Almost Died When Jonathan Renamed Unilag – Former Unilag Vc Ibidapo-obe by Ugosample(m): 7:51pm On Jun 08, 2012
Let us see where this will end. University of Lagos will remain University of Lagos. The Alumni, Parent Association Staff and students of Unilag will never recognisd that name. And for ignorant people, the alumni is also a major stakeholder in the school because they fund projects in the school as well. Since all those connected to the school don't want the name, why force it on them. Besides, the money that wil b spent on this can be used to equip the labs and build additional hostels for d school.
Education › Re: I Almost Died When Jonathan Renamed Unilag – Former Unilag Vc Ibidapo-obe by Ugosample(m): 6:12pm On Jun 08, 2012
There are a lot of gullible people on this forum. For those who support the name change, give me three reasons why the name of unilag should be changed jo maulag. Good reasons, not vag.ue reasons.
Politics › Re: Senate Approves UNILAG Renaming by Ugosample(m): 11:05pm On Jun 07, 2012
This news is false. Fellow Nigerians please do your research well before posting. The bill has to pass 3 readings and besides, the senate is in recess for 2 weeks. I just checked it. For all those rejoicing, i pity u all. Don't you know that this will waste our money? This is unnecessary. People are hungry.
Politics › Re: GEJ Seeks Senate Approval To Rename UNILAG And 2 Other Federal Universities. by Ugosample(m): 11:42am On Jun 07, 2012
This is the National Assembly's chance to prove themselves. This is the time to prove 2 Nigerians that they are no stooge to GEJ.
Politics › Re: GEJ Seeks Senate Approval To Rename UNILAG And 2 Other Federal Universities. by Ugosample(m): 9:04am On Jun 07, 2012
The National assembly should throw that bill out. That is a complete waste of time.
Politics › Re: GEJ Seeks Senate Approval To Rename UNILAG And 2 Other Federal Universities. by Ugosample(m): 1:45am On Jun 07, 2012
Ibime: The Assembly will ask GEJ to share N20 bln to pass this bill, and knowing how many times GEJ has performed a volt-face (no going back on subsidy etc), he might not want to be caught with his pants down again. That would leave us with the ridiculous scenario of GEJ sharing money to the Assembly for an unnecessary bill that everyone protested against, just so GEJ can save face.
Can you imagine that? Waste of money. The senators gotta earn our respect by trashing that letter. There are more important things to debate about instead of name change.
Politics › Re: GEJ Seeks Senate Approval To Rename UNILAG And 2 Other Federal Universities. by Ugosample(m): 11:20pm On Jun 06, 2012
If the house of assembly takes this letter serious, that will be an indictment on the National assembly too. If not, why is the Petroleum Industry Bill that will benefit Nigerians not passed yet? That is a more important bill. Senate pls face the pib bill and throw out this name change letter.
Politics › Re: GEJ Seeks Senate Approval To Rename UNILAG And 2 Other Federal Universities. by Ugosample(m): 10:12pm On Jun 06, 2012
Doesn't the president have better things to do with his time and money. Do you know the financial implication of renaming a university? Please, let him invest the money in the educational sector not in name change.. God help us in this country.
Politics › Re: GEJ Seeks Senate Approval To Rename UNILAG And 2 Other Federal Universities. by Ugosample(m): 10:00pm On Jun 06, 2012
Mr Beaf, may God forgive you. Say amen to this sincere prayer.

Does GEJ think we are stupid? Michael Opara Univ. Of Agric. has been enforced already. If you doubt this check jamb website or brochure. His advisers must have been paid to destroy him. He should be very careful or else....
Politics › Re: GEJ Seeks Senate Approval To Rename UNILAG And 2 Other Federal Universities. by Ugosample(m): 5:59pm On Jun 06, 2012
Let all Nigerians irrespective of tribe say no to irresponsible leadership. That is the only way Nigeria can move forward. If we continue to tolerate irresponsible leaders, the future wil be very bleak.
Politics › Re: GEJ Seeks Senate Approval To Rename UNILAG And 2 Other Federal Universities. by Ugosample(m): 5:43pm On Jun 06, 2012
Why is President Jonathan behaving this way? Why? Nigerians, if any politician tells you that he had no shoes, don't vote him o!:-) We have better things to do with money than wasting money on this name change.. He should face the subsidy scam report and the pension scam.

Demlad99: I don't
think there's anything MAULAG students can do about the change. They
should embrace it and face their academics. I'll like to see how the
case turns out though.
The name change has not been effected, so the school's name remains unilag. use you sense please.

Let all Nigerians come out say no to irresponsible govt. the best way to do this is not to sell your vote and put inec under pressure to conduct free and fair elections.

Politics › Re: Nigerians Will Decide UNILAG/MAU’s Name Change - Senator Gbenga Ashafa by Ugosample(m): 1:10pm On Jun 02, 2012
For those who believe that the president can take decisions with impunity, a auestion for you, is that how to practice democracy that pple said Abiola fought for? See the contrast. All the stakeholders in the university of lagos don't want the name. And he wants to shove the name down their throat? Do you know what democracy really is?
Politics › Re: Nigerians Will Decide UNILAG/MAU’s Name Change - Senator Gbenga Ashafa by Ugosample(m): 12:52pm On Jun 02, 2012
i don't know why some people don't think with their head. Those in support of this name change are being sentimental. Why is it only @the students they keep calling. What about the lecturers, staff, alumni and parent association that are all vehemently against it? Does it mean that they are all stupid? Answers please!
Politics › Re: Nigerians Will Decide UNILAG/MAU’s Name Change - Senator Gbenga Ashafa by Ugosample(m): 12:39pm On Jun 02, 2012
jerseyboy: You are not a student of history. History can be very dispassionate. It will see Abiola, IBB, Abacha etc for what they truly are. Charlatans. What history will debate is why we tolerated these years of misrule.

people like beaf are meant to be dealt with seriously. They come on this forum and tell a lot of lies. The students, lecturers and the alumni dont want the name. Period. Did acn pay the lecturers and the alumni too?

Jenams: u mean τ̅o say u dey MAULag? Hehehe. Unilag Is dead bro. Wake up!!!!
who said that? We are waiting... Shameless policemen who want to deny students their right to protest. Instead of him to face security threats or lifting the economy, he is changing name. Never will that name be changed. Simple. Oga Joe doesn't own the school and this is a democracy. Say no to Maulag. Unilag forever. That is our identity.

Education › Re: NUC Will Effect UNILAG/MAU Name Change by Ugosample(m): 10:26am On Jun 01, 2012
Nemerem44: The name "MAU" has come to stay whether we like it or not. If Akokites like, let them Gather 100,000 signatures for the protest, there's no going back to what GEJ has said. It's like u guys are yet to understand this govt.
We will see about that. When he says he is allocating 2 billion naira to change the name, then you will join the protests.

mumu like you. Don't you know that if this kind of behaviour is not checked, he will continue to spring up surprises. Besides, you don't mix politics with education. Afterall, OAU was established and built by Obafemi Awolowo led Action Group, Ahmadu bello university was built by NPC led by Ahmadu Bello. I knowAbiola didn't build the school, or built any structure in it. If he truly wanted to honor him, he should hav named a national monument that all Nigerians identify with. Not playing politics with his name.

That name will never change. Mark my words. For the people talking about swag, it is not about the swag, it is about mixing politics with education, besides, why is it that our university are named after politicians and not scientists or other achievers like Gani fawehinmi who fought for the masses, was harrased bx the govt and suffered for the country till he died.

Politics › Re: Wole Soyinka Opposes UNILAG/MAU Renaming by Ugosample(m): 3:07pm On May 31, 2012
We would never recognize the name. It is University of Lagos we know and we will forever know. Mko is overhyped, and this a criminal who declared himself president. Why should his name be on my certificate?
Politics › Re: Was M.K.O Abiola Truly A Martyr In The Interest Of The Masses?? by Ugosample(m): 11:59am On May 31, 2012
Abiola was a criminal. simple and short. the truth is bitter but that is it. Remember International thief thief by fela? Gani was much better. fought for the masses till his painful death. Gani deserves more honor than what he got.
