honey: bia nwa nna ugo, let me correct your notion, there is not luck, only the God factor, i am gaining admission from my ss3 , not because not luck, but because of GOD and hardwork, and most of all i thankGod that UNILAG admission is based mainly on merit.
Concerning merit, you can say that again. Btw... I hope your SSCE has further maths in it. Good luck!

honey: i am a fellow igbo boy, though i passed the cut off, but i couldnt stop wondering why the cut off mark of EE was the second highest after mbbs, any explanation
Your department is very competitive, and has few spaces... I bet not up to 100 students will make the list. P.S. The fear of Prof Mowete is the begining of... So #PREPARE!

For those who gained admission straight from SS3 (Lucky you) but unfortunately did not meet the pre requisite for your chosen course of study, pick change of course form asap... Don't let anybody decieve you, scammers full akoka. I overhead someone telling a gullible girl that he can secure admission for her in chemical engineering... This girl has no further maths and did not meet the cut off. Don't fall into this trap. Beware. Feel free to ask questions.

The Op has spoken his mind... An Igbo proverb says that it's the child that raises up his hand that will be carried. As it stands, many Nigerians are not ready for development.

omanzo02: Op,

U are wrong, financial romance is pure Nigerian and Africans mentality, I live in a country where cash doesn't play a role in romance.

I have dated and been in relationship with educated and gainfully employed women when I was not earning salary yet, the money concious relationship is why most Nigerian women are easily dumped and being avoided. Western women judge u by your prospect and not cash, period.
Gbam. This convulated mindset of theirs put them in trouble. I was @ UBA the day before yesterday and i saw two girls(mgbeke)... They couldn't fill a teller properly and this kind of girl would want a guy who is rich and treats them like a lady. Not all females are ladies... Simple!

Jomark: Go find who for Ghana? Abi u wan go import Alomo?
Nope... Being a dual citizen who has experienced both sides, i can tell you this... 1) Ghana is not as rich as Nigeria 2) Their public officers are not as wicked as the ones here and 3) It is more sane, and the mad rush for wealth is not prevalent as it is here. I prefer living in peace with limited funds than living in chaos with a lot of money. P.S. Sorry for derailing the topic/telling long stories.

naijababe: Thank you o jare, only an ostrich would deny our problems, but the dick van dyke types expect others to solve problems just so they can swiftly move in to benefit. Nonsense!!!
at last, someone who thinks like me. In my uncle's house (a block of 12 flats) he suggested that each block contribute a certain amount to raise a big water storage that will serve all houses. The neighbours kicked and refused. Some of them went from behind to lift their own tanks which is more expensive. As i speak, there are 8 different tanks in the air (an eyesore) and 8 different pumping machines which, i reiterate, costs much more than the big storage tank. The reason for this example is to show you how warped the mindset arround is. It's anti development. And also selfish. Is that the mindset that is requisite for development? I give up.

One thing i'm very sure of is if all Americans move here and all Nigerians move there, America will become a cesspit in 6 years. The reason(s) include Poor attitude, e no concern me thinking, Pull him/her Down (PhD) syndrome, etc. Sad but true.

Crime › Re: Ifeanyi Aguo, Nollywood Director Jailed 15 Years For Drug Possession In Malaysia by Ugosample(m): 12:00pm On Jul 21, 2013
One thing we should know is that committing crime is not a function of tribe but a function of individual choices, such as greed, love of money, desire to show off, etc. If a person or a group of people are caught committing crime, their individual choice they made is to be blamed, not their tribe or origin.
