9jayes: MO SALAH
“The reason why I think Salah should win the award is because of the journey he has taken to achieve what he has .
“To come back to England after his disappointment with Chelsea and become the Premier League’s top scorer, as well as reach the Champions League final and lead his country to the World Cup for the first time in 28 years, is something unheard of.
“Furthermore, if FIFA were to look at the big picture and consider the hardships and culture barriers each player had to endure in the course of his career to reach this level, then Salah must win hands down. He also took Liverpool to the finals of Europe's most prestigious football tournament, the UEFA champions league where an injury he sustained denied his team the glory. |

Except you’re the extremely dirty type, nobody normal likes foul odour. Almost everybody (if not all) would love to keep the good smell in their car.
When you start perceiving foul odour from your car, it’s an indication that something is wrong somewhere. There are some things that can alter the good smell in your car and make it go bad to foul odour.
6 Reasons Why Your Car Smells
1. Burnt clutch or brake materials: You will easily notice the smell when you’re driving with your windows down. A burnt clutch and brake pads that got too hot will give out the same ‘burning rubber’ smell.
2. Water getting inside the car:
When water or fluid gets into the car where it’s not meant to, be rest assured your car will smell. This is much pronounced after rain. Leaky doors, windows seals, can give water free passage into the car. When water makes it to the seats and carpets, it gives birth to smell.
3. Bad food and spilt drink The smell can also be a result of spilt drinks or decomposed food for those that eat or drink inside their cars.
4. Oil leaks: You’ll perceive a burning smell whenever oil drip and drop on any hot part of the exhaust system.
5. Bad catalytic converter: When things are not right as it should with your catalytic converter, you’ll end up perceiving smell a rotten egg.
6. Fuel leaks: When there is leaky fuel lines, stuck injector, bad fuel pressure regulator, they can lead to fuel being dumped on your engine region.
What else makes your car smell? Tell us in the comment section even if it's that person that entered your car with smelly shoes.
https://autojosh.com/5-things-make-car-smell/ when battery is spoiling, u perceive d worst odour. However what is d reason for the fuel odour I perceive when driving my Camry Orobo ? Because of this, d consumption is high. Where is d leakage from cos I don't think it's the fuel tank.. could it be the new engine I bought was not properly installed |

Career › Re: What NLC Should Do After Criminal Violence Against MTN by ukandi1(m): 5:55am On Aug 09, 2018 |
gorociano: It is no longer news that the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) invaded the premises of telecoms company, MTN, across Nigeria from Monday July 9, 2018, ostensibly to picket the company but ended up carrying out acts of violence against the staff of the company and vandalizing equipment. The labour union went to protest the casualisation and poor welfare of its members by the telecoms giant but instead left in its wake, blood, destruction and what some described as carnage.
Critical national infrastructure across the country were reportedly breached and attempts were made to compromise them like turning off the independent power plants at the Ojota switch station, Lagos. Infact, staff of MTN had to create a human shield around human resources executive, Esther Akinnukawe, for her to escape the head office of MTN as NLC members were trying to beat her up. Many members of staff were allegedly harassed and forced to sing along with NLC members who were recorded in various violent acts of vandalism.
Of course many right-thinking individuals have called out NLC’s act, including UK-based accountant and social commentator, Feyi Fawehinmi and veteran radio presenter, Jimi Disu with some calling the act by the NLC a fund-raising exercise.
How did the Nigerian Labour Congress descend so low to the point of being regarded as a collection of touts by Nigerians, a clear departure from the intellectual rigorousness and sagacity the Nigerian labour movement is well known for in the times past? What can the labour union do to conform to the International Labour Organisation (ILO) standard and rescue its battered brand?
1. NLC should ask itself why have Nigerians who previously jumped when NLC sneezed become apathetic to its cause? Why are people showing outrage at the violence meted out against MTN by NLC on various social media platforms? Why did their people have to resort to violence? Is MTN really guilty of casualisation, or it is the companies that they outsourced to that are guilty of such? Is there a better/more effective way of engagement that won’t generate so much bad blood? After these questions are asked, then they should go on to the next step.
2. Come up a strategy: Offense, defense or placatory. I would advice placatory in this case and a mixture of the two other options going forward. Imagine what a picture of NLC President and the CEO of MTN shaking hands at the MTN headquarters can do to show Nigerians that NLC is not anti-business but there was only miscommunication which they are addressing internally.
3. Open social media accounts that are RESPONSIVE and ENGAGING, in order to showcase the constructive works that the organisation is doing. I have not found any account on the social media platforms I use (Nairaland, Facebook, Twitter) that claims to be owned by NLC. Even if they have, how responsive and engaging are they? Let the PRO or President handle it directly so people can get direct access to decision-making structure of the congress.
http://revue.com.ng/what-nlc-should-do-after-criminal-violence-against-mtn/ Lies upon lies I guess mtn paid u handsomely to spill these falsehood online to salvage what is left on their stinking and nauseating reputation. No matter how much u collected as payment to do ur work, the damage done by these slave traders in Nigeria against Nigerians cannot be repaired nor quantified in monetary terms. What goes around comes around don't forget that. While u spread falsehood here intended to defend mtn, Karma has a way of changing the songs of men. Hoping u don't find yourself one day as an mtn staff then u understand what ur fellow Africans in their payroll here in Nigeria are crying about. Good luck to u defending mtn and slaughtering what is left of NLC |

Politics › Re: New Minimum Wage: NASS Ready, Waiting For Executive – Saraki by ukandi1(m): 8:20pm On Aug 04, 2017 |
Agimor: Implementation is the issue here. Most states governors can't even pay the 18k minimum wage up to date let alone 56k which they would see as an herculean task. They are indirectly contributing to unemployment cos most states would sack their workers to be able to raise money and pay others. However I believe its overdue to have a new minimum wage. That should not even be d real issue. D real deal is for national assembly to accept paycut , slash their pay to 1m a month. If u don't like it, go back home; ur people will send another to represent them. They are d ones sucking d nation to poverty , creating unrest and implementing policies that further divide d nation and agitation for cessation |
