People that are used to Nja tastes and pkroducts think they are inherently better but it's just about exposure and what folks are used to.

Like some think there are no better easy cook noodles or noodles (full stop) than the Indomie brand; to the extent of bringing cartons from Nja.

That said, @Lexus; it will be interesting to know whether we were making any sort of bread in Nigeria or subsaharan African before the introduction from either the Arabs or the Europeans.

Did our people ground any sort grain to make any sort of bread including flat bread, Chapati, nan, rough dough bread and so on?

Black History - much of it lost forever and ever...
Does Kara/kose made from beans, and masa made from rice, count as bread? We have gurasa as well. Though these are not baked .

For those in UK, please which laptop would you recommend and what store or link....

PLs don't mention Dell as I am about to bin mine which is less than 1 year.
Buy a dell or Lenovo business/enterprise grade laptop. Not the consumer ones.

Or buy a MacBook

What would you be using the laptop for?

Hi everyone. Good to belong to this family. My friend just told me about living in the UK threads. I came to the UK in January. I’m a post graduate student staying in Wolverhampton. It has really been difficult for me to rent a house. My husband and children are meant to come in April but I still haven’t been able to rent a house because I’m a student and not working yet. Please I really need help on how to go about it. . My children don’t understand why they are still in Nigeria when they already have their visa. Please help!!! It’s weighing me down. Any one in Wolverhampton I can hook up with? Please I need all the contacts and ideas I can get. Thank you.

Yes you are right, the Irish were treated very badly by the English. They were nicknamed the negroes of Europe. When you read about the atrocities committed by the English towards the Irish and the Scottish you will hate them.
Hate them enough to join........

Thank you for the explanation on precedence. I'm sure there have been British citizens who fought with enemies of the country and were caught and were sent to the tower of London to be executed.

Can we then argue she should be brought back and sent to the tower of London?
Universal human rights.

How do you mean by precedent? I just want to be educated, how will it affect immigrants and chdren of immigrants in the future if they don't denounce their citizenship and join a kbown terrorist organisation to fight and kill citizens of your own country and are not remorseful about it. I believe when you do this you successfully decitizened yourself if there is a word like that

What if isis had been successful? Or they had caused significant damage to the UK before they were defeated and she wanted to comeback, should they still accept her back?
With my small watching of suite.

In courts when trying to win a case if something has never been done before it's makes your case s bit difficult to defend/prove etc. But once something similar or remotely similar has been done in the past, a lawyer can keep sighing it and try to find similarities or links with the previous case and it will be less difficult for the lawyer. Since the case in history has shown that it can be done and the courts have proven it to be right.

Future cases might not be allowed to move to appeal or supreme based on this lady's case as precedence.

A lawyer will argue no need to waste time, tax payers money by going to appeals etc.

NB: I have watched suites complete series multiple times. And my brother is a lawyer

Look at it this way.

If you drive well for like 5 years after getting your full license. Then you enter into the half and half group like I suggested.

While halving the something and you now go an bash somebody side mirror, you’ll go relegation and start paying full with normal tariff increases adjustments like for another 5 years or so until you’re eligible for the chop I chop group again.

I feel it’ll be a strong incentive to drive carefully.
Insurance cost reduces based on how long you have been driving, so this new half and half e get as e be

Thanks a bunch, @umarwy.
I'm hopeful that the isolation requirement would have eased by the time we're ready to travel.

And in any case, as long as the isolation requirement is still in place, the kids would have to shelter in with an adult anytime they travel to join. No?
Isolation with kids in Abnb/hotel, while in a new environment might exert a level of stress you are not planning/prepared for.

Good morning everyone, thank you for all your contributions thus far. Please my people, we have been trying to secure an accommodation here in the UK(North), we have applied through some agents on Zoopla and Rightmove.

We got a house that was viewed, the agent said the Landlord has accepted our application after filling an online application form. We were askes to pay a holding fee, which we did. They requested for copies of our travel documents, Proofs of our legal stay in the country and our current address respectively.

We got a response that our files would be sent out to their refrencing team and we should expect their email.

Please my people, does it mean we are getting the accomodation?

We are tired of searching! One of the agents where we applied has been calling us so frequently to make the deposit; we are beginning to be doubtful of her genuineness. Please help!

Thank you.
Any house you view and like.

Tell them you are ready to pay 6 months rents as you really like the house.

No landlord will refuse that.

1. Yes

Discuss with your spouse, cos if kids are involved settling down might take a bit longer, isolation might be a bit tougher if you all come at once

2. Yes.

I used a Sharia court marriage certificate issued by a state Sharia court.

Because you’re changing the two names, it’s going to be too complex for the embassy even if they were open.

I know the brits are now accepting expired passports for visa, but I also know that they will use the name on the passport to create your final “visa”.

If they accept a deedpoll, then you’re converted. You don’t need to worry about anything; I believe it trumps the expired Passport’s name.

You don’t need a lawyer for anything. If you’re too u comfortable, spend that lawyer money on a flight to Nigeria, do your passport and return warning 4 days.
You will be surprised that change of name/details on naija passport comes with stress of its own in Naija, and I guarantee it not been possible in 4 days.

Steps needed
1.NIMC change of name/details
2. Wait for schedule database update at NIMC ( pay to expedite it)
3. Wait for NIS - NIMC link to be updated.
4. Go to Abuja HQ for data capture.
Etc etc
3.

Hi guys.
I need some answers please.
On License, name is - George Getty Gerry
On passport it's - George Getty Gerry
However, on notification of result from NMCN , it's written Gerry Getty George

Tried renewing license online and it says - RN number doesn't match surname.

What can be done?
Also, can this different name arrangement cause any issue with NMC UK?
Thanks in advance
