We got a two bedroom apartment before we left Nigeria. Got it on a Facebook page for the students of the university I'm attending. Only paid deposit and one month's rent and entered straight from airport. I guess we were very fortunate

I am grateful. The response opened my eyes more and look ahead to prepare for what future holds.

If not that I earlier got a hint that it may not be possible for my older kids not to pay resident fees in university (although at a later stage of my student route), I wouldn’t have imagined the reality shock l would have experienced after all these struggles.

@Ralphlauren, I guess the case you cited, the boy completed the primary and secondary schools under no legal stay. The stay was perfected a year to finishing high school. Is that not the reason he was denied paying resident fee despite spending many years in UK?

My thought before now is if you’re legally resident (as a student/worker), you are a resident who can also benefit from what govt provides even if you have not achieve your ILR.

If ILR is required for this residency, then I need help/advise for best options I can progress with from here after getting below clarifications:

1. Can ILR be achieved with spending more time outside UK in a year? Considering the UK UNI cost, I am considering (difficult decision) returning my 2 older kids (15 & 16) to Nigeria to stay with their father (but visiting UK on holidays), complete secondary school in Nigeria and seek admission in Canada/US/Nigeria to save cost.
I just read also student must be 17/18 before starting UNI in Scotland/England. A-level studies /college for 2 yrs is required too.

2. If 1 above can’t work, If both stay back to start UNI in UK, I want to know if residency can be reviewed/changed after achieving the ILR.

3. If I secure work before or immediately after completing my master program, can I switch my visa route and move from 10yrs ILR as student to 5yrs as worker.

I just need an agency that would hire me and give me a certificate of sponsorship which I need to process the visa. Please any suggestions of agencies that would do this? It has to be for senior care as the visa specifies.

Please I need help with a kids cream (body cream). He has passed the baby stage. We have stopped the baby stuffs. We have been using sanex kid soap, but We never see cream since. I have checked Morrison and asda. Also asked the people who worked there but they keep directing to the baby section and na baby lotion de there (asda).

NB: If the complexion is necessary, The baby is fair and becoming lighter in complexion.

what is the essence of relocating to uk without anything to show back home. People will deride and curse you. For tier 2, I would not mind but not for tier 4. Imagine taking your last card to do psw for you and your family while hoping for the best. I see it as unwise.

In less than 2 minutes, fill the form.
They will send you an exemption.

Afterwards, you don’t have to be glancing over your shoulders and frigging, cowering in fear anytime there is a knock on the door.

This is so true!!! A lot of my friends were forced to leave UK mid way because they lost their jobs.

I went through similar situation as well. My employer refused to sponsor my ILR after 5 years. I was fortunate to get another employer that sponsored my Tier 2. Applied for ILR after 1 month with the new employer.

I have always had one funny scenario in my head

Lets assume that someone (M) comes into the UK on a 2 yr student visa and then luckily gets Sponsorship immediately after school

He then brings his wife into the UK who studies maybe nursing / MPH when she enters. His wife also finishes after 1 yr and gets her own sponsorship

If the husband, due to some issues later loses his job with the sponsorship, is there any way his wife can help?

Look into gaming chairs, they might be slightly above your budget. But they are designed for comfort and support during prolonged use

Please can anyone recommend a very good office desk(less than 100 pounds) that provides a great support to the back. I will be extremely grateful

Yes I'm currently in Nigeria, buried my mum yesterday so could not act quickly to change my ticket, wouldn't have got the test done today and get morning ticket for tomorrow,

The whole thing is a big headache to me now ,
