My annoyance is that people who did not read the article are the first to comment.

I love the way Lai Mohammed handled it, so calm and matured.
The problem I have with PMB is lack of Empathy and nepotism.

On Economy with what was on ground when he took over, I never expected much I knew it is going to be a tough one. Like Mr Mohammed rightly said, it only take a serious government to pull out of recession in one year. Some countries that went into recession with us are still there. Eg. Venezuela, South Africa etc.

If I was Buhari I won't recontest based on health ground but the decision is his.
Nice write up!. I think he should contest with right people surrounding him.

Christianity EtcRe: Pastor E.A Adeboye's Prophecies For 2018 by umuna(m): 6:23pm On Jan 01, 2018
Bro, what sort of an excuse are you making? Are you joking or allowing the devil to use you?

When the Word of God comes to a prophet, it is not for the prophet to edit it or to sugar coat it. It is for him to say it as it is. A prophet is a messenger and not an editor.

You are talking about level. Does Adeboye come close to Nathan or Elijah or Elisha or Isaiah who were sent to rebuke kings?

There was no prophet that was loved by the people, especially the people in power, because prophets always delivered prophesies, no matter how bitter or terrible those prophesies may be.

Bro, stop making these terrible excuses. For heaven's sake, stop it. Do you even know what point you are trying to make?

You are saying that God gives His word to Adeboye but Adeboye can decide on how

to deliver it. Not even great prophets like Samuel and Elijah dared change the Wordquote]

That was why i said the message is not for everybody. We know how he speaks and i do understand the message. When you know Adeboye is not like the prophets you mentioned, why then do you want to know the meaning of the message? You getting your self confused.

Like I said, if prophesies are direct and precise, no one would be able to misinterpret them.

Show me one prophet in the Bible who was not influencial in his time. And yet when the Word of God comes to them, they say it as it was given to them. They feared no one. They were only messengers. What the hearers did with the prophesies did not concern the prophets.
My dear friend, when one is in some level of position(s) not all he sees or hears he reveals to the public.
Christianity EtcRe: Pastor E.A Adeboye's Prophecies For 2018 by umuna(m): 11:11am On Jan 01, 2018
BluntBoy:
So, one now needs wisdom to discern prophesies?

Bro, you don't need wisdom. These prophesies are vague. A true prophesy needs to be direct to prevent the hearer from misinterpreting it.

Here below are two prophesies from Elisha. They contain elements of preciseness and time which most short-range prophesies have:

Then he said, "At this season next year you will embrace a son " And she said, "No, my lord, O man of God, do not lie to your maidservant." (2 Kings 4:16)

Then Elisha said, "Listen to the word of the LORD; thus says the LORD, 'Tomorrow about this time a measure of fine flour will be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.'" (2 Kings 7:1)

Elisha's prophesies are direct. There is no how the hearers can misinterpret them.

Happy New Year to you.
Thanks for the Bible references, but you need to know he is one of the most influential persons in the world today, so he needs to be careful if not, some people will politicize it.

King David did not dance almost unclad deliberately. That should not be a standard in the Church or anywhere else for that matter either. If your dad falls down while climbing the stairs, you are not to laugh at him. If you do, it is a sin. But you cannot emulate your father and be falling down while climbing the stairs. King David's wife was punished for deriding her husband ostensibly due to familiarity, pride it both. Cheers.
Please also look up Psalm 150 what it says about using instrument in praising God.

But king David knew that the ark was coming in and he made up his mind to dance in the presence of the lord

The truth of the matter is that drum beating predisposes people to dance and swing their bodies sometimes provocatively. Young men and women even dance facing each each other in thr Church! Some of the people in the Church are mature believers who know that they need to moderate their dancing and not constititute a source of temptation to others.
There are others in the Church who do not know their left from their right. There are some weak Christians who might be battling with lust.
While dancing sensually, you cannot go to the dancers and tell them to stop, at least not at that moment. But a lot of damage might have been done to sinners for whom Christ died who come to Church to be saved from sin and saints who come to worship their Maker in the beauty of holiness. It is the 'holiness Church' that is still beating drums that should stop their drumming, not the other way round.
David danced almost naked in the presence of God and Israelites when the ark was being brought back!

CareerRe: 10 Nigeria Professions That Never Escape Law Of Karma by umuna(m): 2:28pm On Nov 27, 2017
fnep2smooth:
Karma they say is a way nature or life pays you back with your own coin, some profession listed below are sometimes redeemed by their charity and prayers but they still get a little portion of what they do while some are face with everlasting nemesis which must time need God intervention and grace. So ladies and gentlemen let me start by giving you from 10 – 1 Nigeria professions that never escape law of karma and they are:

10: NIGERIAN POLITICIANS
This class of people are one of the profession that are in the redeem list because God must times show them mercy and grace by reducing their punishments, reason is that they surround themselves with people and religious leaders that always pray for them 24 hours round the clock. For example the Muslims folks most time keeps imams around them by building them mosque in their house or street where many Muslims come to worship, while some resort to feeding people staying with them or visiting. These set of people pray and always give thanks to God for giving them a good but secretly corrupt leader.
The Christian folks are not left out, you see them kneeling at every church pulpit receiving blessings from great men of God and the whole congregations. So sometimes they hold crusade and you see them in every church programs campaigning and promising new projects.

Karma:
Their sins are face by family member’s examples: Kids will be a drug addict, daughter will be in prostitution, some join bad gangs and harden criminal.

9: NIGERIAN PASTORS
Nigerian pastors and politicians are only the two professions that are in redeem list because they surround themselves with people who solely believed in them. They receive blessings, gifts , money from people and people in their church always pray for them. These pastors can steal from the church purse without been question, they do whatever they like with the congregations but at the end all of their sins are forgiven because they always pray to God for forgiveness but just like life will have it, the repercussion of their sins are been felt by these children.

Karma:
In school they are the leader or members of different cult group, some are into hard drug and prostitution, some don’t even believe in God or go to church excerpt they are at home with their parent, bad friends and heavy night clubbing etc.

8: TAILOR
This profession only has self redemption because of the high rate of disappointment they always give their customers which most time comes back to them as curse or arrest etc. everybody has been disappointed by their tailor, some of them collects money from different client but fail to meet up with the work only to start hiding or giving excuse to them, some may damage their client cloths and choose not to refund back their money. Their sins are only being forgiven only when they ask and their consequences are very high.

Karma:
They eventually close up their shop or run out of business due to bad review from different people, they end up been arrested.

7: N.E.P.A WORKERS
These sets of people are the most curse profession in Nigeria most especially when they take back their light. You see people shouting and raining curse on them even when they try to cut off peoples light, some engage with fight and abuse and most time end in arrest or both parties injured. Their sins comes from illegal extortion of money from people without providing light, some demand money before they reconnect or repair transformer, stealing of armor cable or transformer fuse.

Karma:
They end of electrocuted trying to steal from transformer, sack from work due to stealing, get injure by aggrieved people etc.

6: ELECTRICIANS
These guys also face the same fate as tailor because they are skills worker, they disappoint people who contracted some wiring job to them, some who are not well skilled end up damaging some home appliances due to wrong connection. Some run away with their client money only to be arrested before they will refund them back.

Karma:
They end up looking frustrated, some turn to drunkard, they stop getting job due to bad review from people, they run out of business and start working as illegal connector of light for people who don’t pay their electricity bill.

5: MECHANICS
You will only witness these people when you have a car, they can make you spend all your money on your car but the problem still persists. Some will steal some part of your car to use it as a replacement for other people car which they have taken money from. Some will delay your car by working on random place just to make you pay more for time and space.

Karma:
They end up losing customer; they end of getting arrested, they run out of business, they become frustrated in life.

4: LAWYERS
Due to our corrupt judicial system and unprofessional-ism from some lawyers, we find ourselves with criminals and thieves who claim to fight for your justice, most of them don’t care about the case or their client life, what they only care is money and not to win any case. Some collect money from their opponent just to make the case favor them, some will make sure they prolong the case so that they can see a means of getting money every time they arrive at the court, some lose interest from the case and drop only to frustrate their client and his case.

Karma:
They never grow in their profession, most of them are nothing but charge and bail lawyers looking for money to eat, they end up getting killed, some are faced with threat and injures most time from the people they cheated on, and some lose their license.

3: NIGERIAN SOLIDER
This is one of the toughest profession on the list because they are faced with a lot of temptation during their missions ranging from leaking of information to their enemies, raping women they found in the battlefield, intimidating unarmored civilians, diverting money meant for arm procurement, executing innocent people, extorting money from people and working with drug dealers to smuggle drugs around the state.

Karma:
The ones that rape women never come back alive for the battle, some lost everything and comes back home empty handed, some are dismissed from services or sometime jailed, some comes back to their village and turn to nuisance and terror group, some end up as armed robbers and kidnappers, some are drug addict and most time run mad.

2: NIGERIA DOCTORS / NURSE
We have good and caring people in this profession but the bad eggs and Nigeria corrupt medical system has made the bad over shadow the good. 90% of the death in a government and private hospital are as a result of negligence of duties and unprofessional-ism from the doctors and nurses. You see doctors gossiping in their offices while ignoring a patient call for help in their wards, some fail to administer drug to patients at the right time only to start rushing up and down when the situation becomes worst. Some will sell drugs that suppose to be free of charge to patient; some will double your bill just to get extra money from a dying patient. Some Engage in abortion, selling of babies, adding more money to drugs for selfish reasons and having a private clinic or store in a government hospital only to start diverting and selling drugs meant for the hospital for personal use.

Karma:
The female ones always remain single or cannot conceive so they resort to adoption, some are caught and they lose their license, some are face with the ghost of people they have killed, some of their children end up with a mysterious sickness every time, sometime they end up looking poor and unhappy. Some are faced with untimely death etc.

1: NIGERIAN POLICE
This profession never escape the karma of life, they are destined to be punish because of the atrocities been committed by them every single day. The overpopulation rate in Nigeria prison is been cause by the Nigerian police force, They abuse your right, they extort you, they lie just to cover their lack of professionalism by accusing you of what you knew nothing about, they collect money from people to torture or put some heavy allegation on innocent people. They take bribe, they leak information to criminals, they detain people illegally just to extort money from them, they sexually assault female detainees, they kill in the name of accidental discharge, they frustrate bailing of people who don’t give them money, they lack the experience to conduct a credible investigation only to end up messing things up. They collect money from different parties and the highest bidder gets their favor.

Karma:
With all the money they extort from people they still swim in abject poverty, some are dismiss from the force, some end up die, some have no home or property, some end up have different wives and children from different state they are posted too. Some end up as security men, some live a frustrate life, some end up with no wife and kids. Some of their children are cultist, some deals and smuggle drugs using their parent’s protection, some are drug addict and kidnappers.

Thanks for reading please feel free to drop your comment.

First of all Obi of Onitsha is not even a First Class king.

Many Monarch in the Oil producing communities like Obateru are way richer

CareerRe: My Plight With A Recruiting Firm by umuna(m): 8:22pm On Nov 05, 2017
lokoventurex1:
Good Afternoon everyone. I have always been a member on nairaland for years now, but hardly put in comments. I have to confess these years with nairaland have been wonderful! Please guys, I need your advice.

I attended a polytechnic in Lagos where I did my ND and HND. I made upper credit in both programmes. I had to go for service in the later parts of 2015 in Enugu state. I couldn't wait for the service year to finish before I rushed back to Lagos because I wanted to make a living.

As we all know the dichotomy between the HND graduates and the Bsc counterparts. I had to a job through a recruiting firm in Lagos into one of our leading banks (recruiting firm and the bank name witheld for security reasons).

This was how I became a support staff while many of my mates were still struggling in Enugu serving. I was posted to a branch at Adeola Hopewell after some weeks of training at the bank training school. I was later moved to another branch in broad street, Lagos Island.

I was doing my duties as support staff in this latter branch until July 5th this year when an issue came up. It happened that this my unit was a very sensitive one, we call it "Bullion Services". We actually had an imbalance of $40,000. No one knows how it happened.

This was how they arrested some few of us in the unit on the 10th of July ,2017 . One of the investigators had levied against me that what was I doing in the vault when they suspected the missing money occurred. I had only come into the vault that evening to drop some naira I worked on.

All through this unfortunate day, I was in another office we call Sorting Centre. I and colleague were processing some naira for our ATMs. It was when we had finished that I took the cash back to the vault so that my supervisor can confirm the cash. This was what took me to the vault. I met my supervisor inside the vault and some other two support staff in the vault that evening. I was at the entrance of the vault all through I lasted inside the vault this evening. The CCTV even showed that.

They arrested us on the 10th of July, 2017, and they took us to Ikoyi police station. This was my first time in my police station. Myself, the supervisor, and the other two support staff that were in the vault that evening.

They came from our bank head office the next day, and I was already happy that alas, they have found the money. I didn't know they were taking another drastic measure. This was how they bailed us themselves and took us to the EFCC. The EFCC began their own investigation. They couldn't finish their investigation this day, 11th july, 2017. EFCC took us into their cell. This was the beginning of another turmoils for what I no nothing about.

The EFCC cell we were, while we didn't know what was going on again as regards the case. They had collected our phones as at this time. There was no way we could communicate to anyone. Although, I had communicated where they were taking us to to my mother when I saw her briefly at the Ikoyi Plolice station.

Thanks to the Almighty God for a beautiful job from the efcc team. They really did a beautiful investigation because they concluded none of us they arrested took the money. I guess our bank were not convinced with the efcc report. We were released on bail after a week in the efcc cell.

No sooner had we left the efcc cell than they said we were already on suspension. This suspension took another two weeks. I started praying in my house that the job should go, so that I can have my freedom. When the suspension finishes, this was exactly on the 3rd of August, 2017. They redeployed us all out of the branch the incident occurred. I guess the bank were still not convinced, and they were trying to keep tabs on us.

I was moved to a branch closer to me at Ojota. I had lost the zeal and passion to work in any bank again as at then, because even at the new branch I was posted to, everyone saw me as a potential thief. The bank had already dis-enabled me and the other colleagues on their system during these period. We were only doing menial jobs at our branches , except for their own staff they recruited themselves (the supervisor).

On the 20th of September, we heard they have fired the Professional staff amongst us, while they hadn't taken any decision on us(the support staff). This news spoilt my day because this was a supervisor that made me enjoyed what I was doing with the bank.

On the 11th of October, 2017. I was called to the attention of a mail that they have asked me to return to my recruiter(the recruiting firm). I knew what that mail meant. This is how most of these bank fires the support staff.

I was very happy in disguise, not because I took the money, but because I knew I would have my freedom since July 5th. I was also expecting my bank to pay for the services I had render for 20 days in October. I returned to my recruiting firm this morning. The firm didn't even know all I had gone through. The firm zonal manager said I should write my statement as regards everything that surrounds the whole issue. I wrote it and he said he was going to put it in my file. He also promised to call me for another job interview if the need arises. This I knew he was only trying to be humane.

On the 20th of October, they paid salaries. I didn't get an alert for anything. This I knew something was fishing. I called the recruiting firm zonal manager the next day, which was a Saturday, he said I should call him on the following Monday. I did call him and he couldn't give me a specific reason why I wasn't paid for the October salary. I had already confirmed from my other colleagues they fired us together, they were actually from another recruiting firm to the bank. They were paid for the few days work we did in October.

I made my firm to know my other colleagues we had the same issue were paid their salary. I was sending mails, but they refused to answer me. I was lucky to get across to the recruiting firm head of payroll. She gave me the words of my life. She even tagged my plight a "fraud case". I cried this afternoon via phone conversation.

I made moves to enquire about my Retirement savings account. This my recruiting firm had been deducting from my salaries the portion for my pension with Leadway Pensure. To my surprise, I was given a zero statement of account at Leadway pensure. I was made to understand that this my recruiting firm hadn't credited anything in my Retirement savings account all through I lasted with the bank.

I sent a mail again to this my recruiting firm. I asked why my RSA has not been credited all these while. They couldn't give me a specific reason also. They refused to pay me in lieu of my issue with the bank. They refused to pay me for the October work I did. They also didn't credit my retirement savings account. I actually worked with the bank through the recruiting firm for one year and a month.

I have the terms of employment letter with me. And I am ready to present them. I am also ready to mention the bank's name and the recruiting firm name.

I have no job now and my means of sustaining myself before another job comes in has been denied by this recruiting firm.

I sincerely need you guys help on this.

Kindly advise also on my gmail: Leki9icekazman@gmail.com

my dealer number is 985844 and i bought a 2007 passat with a run and drive sign on the picture, but when the car arrived, it came with a broken wind shield, damaged engine, missing battery and some body parts missing! I feel cheated and scammed. The annoying part is tha onr of your staff(Nikolay Jakovlelv) was stelling me that your company is not in charge of the listing of cars on your website rather it is the seller.
I will give you the opportunity to check and investigate and get back before i will send all the pictures before buying and arrival of the vehicle.

My experience with my agent , Lisa was satisfactory as responses were prompt through the period of bidding to purchase. Experience with the shipping department contact person (Victoria ) was also good. I only got agitated between dispatch to arrival at exit port. Beside that the experience was superb. Thanks to Auction Export https://www.auctionexport.com/en/Home/ReviewsAndTestimonials
My experience with you guys was a terrible one. I will still come up with all the details soon.
