No ethnic tribe is ever 100% loving towards each other, simply not possible.
Frankly, I would rather be in a Biafra where I am marginalised by a fellow Igbo man than be in a Nigeria where I am marginalised by another ethnic group |

KanuIsCursed: Both kanu and shekau order their followers to kill Nigerians And how many Nigerians have his followers killed? No matter how you twist it, the truth is thst Nnandi KANU is angry at the way Biafrans are being treated by the Nigerian government and he is equally angry at anyone who wants to stop Biafra from exiting Nigeria. He calls them names (which I do not support as a Christian). He said they should defend themselves from brutality (is he wrong?) Amnesty International has it on record that scores of unarmed IPOB supporters have been killed by the Nigerian Security Forces for demonstrating against Kanu's incarceration and for celebrating Kanu's unconditional release by the Nigerian court which the president disobeyed. So who is terrorising who? You don't talk about genocide and injustice against your people with a smiling face, do you? If you are ok with that, May I pray that anytime you protest against injustice against you or your person, may what happened to those Kanu supporters who were killed by the Nigerian Security Forces happen to you, will you say Amen? If you don't, then you must be a hypocrite. |

ItsMeAboki: Oga, if you really can read and understand English very well as you implied; then you should have understood why I challenged anyone to prove that Buhari meant he would discriminate against any section of the country in his famous 97% vs 5% speech.
That notion was in fact an absolute big lie, a deliberate fabrication and misrepresentation of the president by his detractors. Anyone with the patience to listen/read the entire speech/transcript (from A - Z) would easily come to the conclusion that his enemies merely took out only the first part of his speech containing the 97% and 5% and essentially twisted and quoted it out of context to give it the opposite meaning; while completely leaving out the middle and concluding part containing the president's true intended message.
It is a pity that many ppl are far too lazy to listen and judge the entire speech for themselves but instead blindly relying on this fat lie and propaganda against the president.
It is also a pity that the mainstream southern owned media (who should have known better) are also shamelessly part and parcel of this propaganda.
It is even more pitiful that the president's image makers have so far not done sufficiently enough to debunk this damaging myth and therefore abort its malicious propagation.
Like I said before; I challenge anyone to prove otherwise. Sorry, you are the one typing rubbish. I listened to the interview. What middle and concluding part are you referring to? That the president said the constitution mandates him to appoint a minister from each state, as such he cannot marginalise any region even if he intends to? Meaning that he grudgingly appointed ministers from certain States because the constitution forces him to do so? If that is not what he meant, what about his other appointments so far? Have they not been skewed in favour of the 97% regions and shown his distain for those from the 5% regions? His media men could not do anything about this though Mr Femi Adeshina attempted to. It was medicine after death because it was said to an international media. To be candid, the president of a heterogeneous country like Nigeria has no business making such divisive speeches, not in Nigeria but in far away United States. The funniest part of a the whole scenario is that this question was about his plans for the restive Niger Delta, not even on voting pattern since elections were over and a new government in place. It was not about which region he would favour more than others. The journalist thought she was interviewing a Nigerian president, not knowing she was actually interviewing a 'northern' president. Is that not hate speech to say that as a president, you will not treat everyone equally because of how people voted? The majority of the national cake is even from the same 5% region. Hate speech is wrong, is evil, is dangerous but this present government has no moral authority to preach against hate speeches. They need to apologize first, show good examples and then we might take them serious. From your moniker, you are an Aboki. But let us put ethnic sentiments aside and say the truth so that it will set us free. Thank you. |

ItsMeAboki: What a hateful bunch, truly occupying themselves with their favourite activity - spreading more hate and misinformation.
See how they dug up an old incident, rearranged the story to elicit the highest emotional response against their main focus of hate and wrath - PMB for winning the elections.
What were the circumstances surrounding the killings: what caused it, who carried it out and how could an incident carried out in far away Bauchi be linked to Buhari is another thing that most of the reports and those propagating it have always evaded - except to resort to innuendos.
What these hate merchants keep forgetting is that the govt in power at the time would have welcomed any reason to have arrested Buhari, as the then head of the opposition; in fact it did, it set up a committee which thoroughly investigated the matter and completely exonerated Buhari from any complicity or culpability.
Unfortunately, his detractors are aware that their are many gullible ppl; many among them also predisposed to hating the president and are therefore exploiting this opportunity to disparage the president.
Sadly, the mainstream media seem to be aiding and abetting these ppl in propagating such falsehood e.g. the Dog and the Baboon and lately the 97% and 5% statements are good examples of how the president is being deliberately misquoted and misrepresented.
I challenge anyone to prove otherwise Sir, I don't know about 'dog and baboon matter' because I don't understand Hausa but the issue of 97% versus 5% was spoken in English and I understand that. Hate Speech is not good. In fact it is a sin. But it also a sin to preach against what one practises by words or deeds. It is a sin to shortchange a people, show that you do not like them by your body language in areas of appointments, projects and selective injustice and yet threaten them if they talk against your injustice or talk about being on their own, tagging it 'hate speech'. Of course, no one complains of injustice laughing. So refusal to correct what is making people angry yet accusing them of hate speech for voicing out, is a sin. It is simply hypocrisy. Thanks. |

zanogo: lol, are we the same? must we vote for the same person? we are never the same, so we should have voted for your lord and saviour gej? see!!! i still repeat, that gej administration is the most corrupt ever in the history of this country, funds were looted with reckless abandon, when a minister during jonathan's tenure is competing with abacha in terms of fund mismanagement, by the time we find the total amount diezani swallowed, you will know abacha is a learner and by the way that is just one minister what about others? well am not surprised by your position on this issue, you are from a region where a known drug baron is called bishop.....after money is money**2 Sir, I am from the East. I do not support corruption of any type. But let me bring it to your notice that most Yorubas who voted against Goodluck Jonathan in 2015 did so because they felt GEJ did not favour them after the support he got from them in 2011and they have a point. GEJ thought he could get the votes of the north who did not vote for him in 2011 while neglecting the Southwest who did. He was so wrong. Another reason why most Yorubas voted against Goodluck Jonathan in 2015 was the Tinubu factor and the merger of CPC and AC. The issue of alleged corruption against the Jonathan regime was a mere allegation then. It was those opposed to GEJ that believed it must be true and used it against him. Talking about corruption, I make bold to say that there is no government headed by a sinner that will not be corrupt. It is after the current government has gone, especially if the opposition takes over that the level of corruption of the present government will be unveiled. Why is the present government allegedly shielding its own officials accused of corruption while focusing its searchlight on the opposition members? Is injustice not corruption? What about nepotism that we can see without any probe? Guess it is not corruption too. You have a right to vote in anybody you want but please say the real reasons you did that. If you actually voted against Jonathan because of corruption, then you wouldn't have voted APC in Lagos or supported Asiwaju who is allegedly the biggest landlord because that would be double standard. Reference: This is the social injustice we constantly talk about, that we all know but pretend not to. That certain sections of the country are above the law in their acts and utterances. Today they say the east is formenting the storm that will lead to violence. They on the other hand just do the violence wily-nily and no one is every held accountable..... ever.
For how long can this go on. Today I am more fearful of the incumbent losing elections than the east pressing for secession when it comes to violence because in the former it is almost certain, a given that lives will be lost but in the latter the lives that have been lost so far are only those of the agitators themselves.
Today despite the agitation for secession there is peace everywhere in the east. Nigerians of all tribes go about unmolested because that is not the cause. The truth about the desire for self actualisation has nothing to do with religion or the hatred for other tribes but of justice and equity.
The threat of violence and war has been trumpeted by the 'owners of Nigeria' alone, the same folks who will kill others out of hatred and religious intolerance. Those who will readily mix the toxic potions of politics with ethnicity and religion at the drop of a hat, those the state cannot prosecute. The quest to establish a new threashold for 'hate speech' in my view is just a way to stifle the desires of Nigerians to freely express themselves. They know the igbo man will not just wake up one morning and storm the market place to slaughter non indigenes for whatever reason. It has never happened. They know he has only been talking since 1970. Now even that is to be silenced.
No matter how bad the output is, to deprive the anus of self expression is a certain painful death. Time is running out for this country. |

If Buhari says if I am rigged out of this election this time, I won't accept it,does this amount to hate speech? Sentiment apart, Buhari words in its clearest form, the words he spoke which is obviously twisted by his enemies is a simple hausa idiomatic expression meaning "if I am rigged again, I won't let go. And according to you, he was 'rigged again' in 2011. Is it not then the fact to say that his desperation to be president made him to kind of brainwash his 'educated' supporters that anytime he lost, it must be as a result of rigging? Can you imagine that Mrs Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 United States presidential election despite leading in virtually all preelection polls?
