If you switch from public to private insurance, it is impossible to switch back to public insurance. Please do your findings on this, cos I know someone who has had this issue. Private insurance might be cheaper now, but it can go as high as twice the cost of public insurance in the future.

You are aware that Hochschule BRS is not a university in Bonn, right? Of the 3 campuses there's none in Bonn. Also the rural district (Kreis) where the main action happens(two campuses are located here) - Rhein-Sieg-Kreis is not even a part of Bonn but Cologne. FAU is Nuremberg-Erlangen. Erlangen is among the top 10 or even 5(if I remember correctly) cities in terms of economic opportunity and prosperity. Nuremberg is still the largest city in Bavaria after Munich the last time I checked. Let's not even get into the comparison of the two institutions. So I would rather that an international student be in a difficult top school(except they aren't ready to study of course) and have abounding opportunities than go to a village with less opportunities just because Bavarian have an attitude. Just thought you should have the above in mind. Just my two cents tho
