GurlFriend: I see a bunch of threads here created by guys who see nothing good in the women folk, but if I start writing about the evils that men commit, the mods may move the thread to the literature section.
My Experience
I am pretty, well kept and groomed and at an age where although I may not be a spring chick, I am still young enough to attract attention from guys in their early 20s who have no qualms about toasting their elder sister's age mates. I have had my fair share lovers but I am currently sworn off men till such a time I recover from the trauma of my latest experience in the hands of the 'ejaculating gender.'
My now ex, let's call him Kingsley was supposed to be a godsent. He is fair, heavily bearded, handsome and a single father. He is also terrible in bed. TERRIBLE. He doesn't last more than 4 minutes, and once he reaches the four minutes mark, he spurts his disgusting seed into the condom and goes limp for the rest of the time with him. Even if I squeeze and massage his small member like bitter leave, he will remain limp like golden penny noodles.
That did not stop me from giving two years of my life to him because I genuinely loved him and felt I could cope with the terrible sex; man shall not live by nacks alone. I had met his family, he had met mine, we were literally 5 and 6. We fixed the wedding for January 8 next year. I'm looking at the stupid IV as I'm typing this.
So we closed for the year at my work place on December 24th and I decided to spend the evening with him. We had agreed that no more nights over till the wedding since it was barely a month away, so we might as well start living right before God. None the less, I had closed by 2pm, I didn't look forward to spending the whole evening in my hot apartment alone so I, against better judgement went to his place and let myself in. His line of work doesn't give him the luxury of closing early like me, so the apartment was also empty but he has a generator and AC.
I settled in, began watching movies on his laptop. I don't know the devil that pushed me to leave the film I was watching to start snooping through his files. In my two years of dating I have never gone through his phone or PC because if you cherish your peace of mind, never snoop through your partner's devices otherwise you will see things. What you are looking for, you will find it.
He has this folder in his laptop called 'Don Quixote.exe' which I see all the time. I asked him what it was some time back and he casually said they are program files and if I mess with them, I will disorganize his laptop. The same devil I had earlier mentioned pushed me to open Don Quixote, and behold, what did I see?
Gay porn. Man nacking man. Woman nacking woman. My fiance is gay, I think. Or bi-sexual. I don't know. My hands are shaking again.
I'm so hurt. Photos upon photos of homosexual and lesbian contents. But this is not where the story ends.
After the initial shock of these disgusting photos, I was confused, shocked, disappointed. I quickly shut down the laptop, prepared dinner (Indomie) and cried myself to sleep on the bed because I'm a very emotional person. I took Lexotan so I could sleep.
Around 10, I think, Kingley came back. He didn't know I was in the house because I left the lights off. He, however didn't come back alone. He came back with a guest. A male guest. I know this dude is his lover because I know him from the office and I have always been suspicious of his sexuality. What kind of masculine man wears purple skinny jeans and wiggles his bum when he thinks no one is watching? I also saw a TikTok video of this guy dancing, wiggling his bum and twirling his dreadlocks?
That is the colleague Kingley brought home by 10 in the night.
Anyway, Kingley walked into the bedroom, saw me and the guilt written all over his face made me ask him who was in the parlour with him after hearing another male voice. When he couldn't give a coherent answer, I went to the parlour and saw Uncle Purple Skinny jeans. Now added to the gay porn I discovered in his laptop, you will not blame me for having a meltdown. I yelled, screamed, cussed, threw his ring into the toilet and flushed it. I ordered Uber to my parents house that night and spent 25th chopping breakfast with tears.
Two years, with a bi-sexual man. Or maybe he is gay himself. I don't know. He has been begging me not to expose him to his family, but it's too late. I have told my family and they intend to formally let his family know that their daughter cannot marry a 'confused' man, as my father says.
What do men want?! Two years of my life, plus all the wedding expenses, gone down the drain. I am so heart broken and humiliated.
I don't want to say men are scum because I have a wonderful father and loving brothers, so I will leave it. I'm done with men. now that you are done with men, will you become a lesbian? |

He calls me an ordinary female, a useless creation and believes he owns me. He believes women should not have a freewill and are properties to their husbands. He calls himself my Alpha and omega. I sometimes wish he would hit Me rather than say all sorts to me. Last week he started as usual. He called me names and Went on to talk about how he would teach me a lesson someday. I really don't know what came over me. I slapped him.
I s.wear it wasn't intentional, I didn't mean to hit him. I thought he would hit me back but he did not. It's been a whole week and he acts like nothing happened. He goes about playing with the kids , he greets me and makes sure we have food to eat too , but it is so unlike him.
My husband always reports to my parents. He tells them everything I do wrong and they always end up calling a meeting. But this time he's silent , he doesn't want sex too which Is so unlike him. I don't know what to do , I feel like he's planning to hurt me really big. I want to call my parents but everyone would blame me. But, I am here to disappoint such people with both first hand experience and objective statistics. While I am not here to say that no youth in SE is abusing meth or any other drug, I am here to prove that the prevalence is not so much as to warrant such an uproar. Also, when compared to other regions, SE is one of the regions with the least prevalence of drug abuse.
For example, last October, NDLEA boss Bubar Marwa cited a survey by the United Nations Office on Drug and Crime (UNODC) which shows that the region with the highest prevalence of drug abuse in Nigeria is South-West (with Lagos scoring 32% prevalence and Oyo, 22%).
And, if this is not enough to convince you, I can tell you that I live on the street in South-East and I have hardly met anyone misbehaving (like the alayes who are a common sight in any town in South-West). This proves the UNODC statistics beyond doubt. Is your work to prove that others have a bigger drug problem than you? Or to realise there is a problem and fix it so at a point in the future, you can say yes we had a problem but now we are good. Showing someone has a bigger problem than you doesn't take away your own problems. |

yinkbell: We've heard the testimonies of many people being saved from their job hazards. Would God save a prostitute from the Hazards of her job after warning her severally? Don't you see that this very post is a warning by God to prostitutes and those planning in going into it? God loves mankind so dearly, that's why He's always teaching them how to live to survive. If they would accept His teachings; life would have been peaceful for them. God can solve financial crisis and will always continue to solve it for those who seek Him. Get rich- quick- syndrome and greed make some people to seek illegal means to get their daily bread. If Nigeria government does not legalize prostitution, then it is wrong to engage in it. May God help those who are in difficult situation and struggling to survive. We shouldn't hide under any predicament to do the wrong thing. I believe you are prayerful. If you pray for them to leave the streets, they should leave since God answers your prayers and you have faith. So if after your prayers and they are still on the streets, it means either God doesn't answer your prayers or He has no problem with prostitutes. Another angle is that God should bless you so much that you can extend your blessings to the prostitutes and take them of the streets. It is myopic for anyone to judge prostitutes from lofty positions. Are they hurting anyone? Are they stealing from anyone? |

jesusjnr2020: The Dangers Of Being A Prostitute In This Day And Age
I saw a thread shared by a good friend of mine here, @Okcornel, about a so-called pastor who arranged with some guys to get a prostitute.
https://www.nairaland.com/6848574/pastor-worshippers-beware
Now after they got her, they killed her, after which they now had sex with her dead body. Then they cut off her head, hands and feet, roasted it, and used it to prepare a lotion, following the instructions which they had received from a native doctor to make them rich. And it was said to be the third time the pastor were attempting this, if so, that would mean that three prostitutes had been lured and killed for this same purpose.
Such ritual killings of prostitutes is no longer news though, as many prostitutes have fallen victims to such gruesome practices. The serial killings of Gracious David-West not too long ago easily comes to mind. Just like that, nine ladies were gone and they were all prostitutes. He said after sleeping with them, he'd insert a knife into their private parts.
Hence one may be compelled to ask, "why always prostitutes?"
The reason is because they are the easiest and safest to lure for such purpose. All they need is how much they'd be paid and they'd follow the person wherever he wants, do whatever the person wants and however he wants, hence they become easy preys to such animals in human skin.
But that's not even the worst, because there's is the spiritual angle to this, which is that after they die in their sins, they'd have to face judgment for the kind of sinful lifestyle they lived, so it's more like moving from frying pan to fire.
Now i'm not one to judge a prostitute on her choice of occupation, because I don't know what they've been through and the kinds of circumstances that would have led them into such. When I hear what some of them had been through that made them to begin to trade their bodies for money, I don't really blame them at all.
However I yet have to say the painful truth, which is that circumstances is not enough excuse, because the soul that sinneth shall die, and this is not speaking of the death of their body but that of their soul.
So if they're afraid of falling victim to such abominable activities, they should even be more afraid of the death of their souls, because if they die in their sins, their end is sure.
They ought to know that their case is not beyond redemption, because God is not willing that any perish but that all come to repentance, and there are several instances in the Bible that show that a prostitute can still change and be used for God's glory.
For instance, Rahab the harlot, who repented and helped God's people, hence God made to partake in the lineage of Christ. Her name was specifically mentioned, I believe, to show that the case of a prostitute is not hopeless, and that God can transform their lives and use them for His own glory. Joshua 2, 6; Matthew 1:5.
Moreover i have come to observe that apart from that sexually immoral aspect of their lives, some prostitutes are some of the nicest and compassionate persons one could possibly encounter. Hence all they need is just to repent from their life of sexual immorality, and it would be easier for them to comply with the righteous ways of God more than even some who were never such but still very heartless and cruel.
So if you happen to be one, you ought to repent and come out of prostitution now before it's too late. Forget about what men would say, and make the decision to come back to God, because it's all about what God says about you, and God says, that regardless of what you've done, if you return to Him just as the prodigal child did, He would become a Father to you, and you His child. Luke 15:18-23
2 Corinthians 6:17-18 (KJV)
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
God bless. Please what have you done to help them? Can you give them the money that will take them off the streets or have you provided the job for them. Every job has its hazards. An oil platform went up in flames some years back killing a sizeable number of people..... drivers lose their lives on a daily. So it's just a normal day in every job |

Asking a customer such questions is improper, they should be the one to find out themselves since they have a lead(nepa bill) on that already. looking at it logically, you have provided the address on your utility bill. So what is it about the description that is weird for the banks to ask for? There are places were using utility bills alone, you won't be able to locate those addresses. Probably if Nigeria worked, a simple post code will be able to identify your exact house and a database will be available for confirmation like it is done in other countries |

FuckAllTheMODs: Oga calm down, I upgraded my account one time like that and they never asked me such question. It depends, some bankers may not ask and they will use previous details to do the upgrading or use a random description for that as long as you present a nepa bill. Though I was a Corp member then.
I think they now use utility(nepa) bills in place of that.
So stop money-shaming him. Asking for description is context based. If the utility bill and name you provided is given to a vendor to verify and they go to the address, but the house is hard to locate or nobody can identify you the banks calls you to provide better description. To avoid cases were the bank keeps having to call back customers (which is a frustration for both the bankers and customers) they will collect all necessary information to avoid delays. Because until a positive address verification is obtained, no bank will let you operate an account. It is system based. These sort of questions are common in new settlements were locating places are usually hard. For ordered areas where say a house 10 is a house 10, an utility bill will suffice |
