Hi All, It's nice to see that comments about HiTV has changed.Come to think of it,they have actually delivered on all the promised channels, like Setanta ,KidsCo,Discovery World,Fox News,CNBC Africa, and Zee Cinema. Make we give them pros ho!,or what do you guys think?. |
Hi All, Yes HiTV now distributes it's Hi Magazine to subscribers.well not all shall get it,but over the coming months many more shall get their copies at their doorsteps. The main reason why most didn't get,was because the names and addresses of some subscribers were totally wrong or incorrect. That is why soon Hitv shall ask subscribers to go to their dealers for FREE upgrades and use this exercise to update customers’ records. |
hi enitan, hitv never had a hand in the cut off of RDV.remember in senegal and africa ,RDV as many battle it's fighting.there is GTV,DSTV and CANAL HORIZION on their neck.so please don't use HITV to express ur anger, lay that anger to gtv, dstv and canal +. |
hi sology pls what's your mail address?.i need to speak to you. expecting a reply from u soonest |
WELL LET'S JUST SAY FROM BOTH.it has to do with uplink bandwidth, which is been work on by eutelsat and hitv |
hi all, note that the adding of setanta didn't affect any of the Hi channels.the 11900 h 27500 is not overloaded.remember i told you guys eutelsat was working on something, that was what they were working on.the freq was expanded. there is work in-progress in getting more top class channels.keep you guys informed on any new developments. the picture quality of the hi channels are been worked on and soon you shall all see it. |

hi, please note that the uefa champions league on hitv starts from august 2009 next season. as for CNN,they have a deal with dstv,so hitv or even gtv and any other operator in africa can't add CNN yet. for programmes, many of those programmes (series, sitcoms and movies)aired by gtv would soon be on Hi Mix,hopfully from early next year.something is been worked out has i write you. |
hi all, please note that the HiTV UEFA Champions League starts from august 2009.Hitv never told any one that it will start this season,so please wait till august next year, that is when it starts. |
hi guys, setanta africa is now showing on 11900 H 27500. ENJOY, |
hi all,the upgrade will and shall be done at appointed hitv dealer offices nationwide.more details to be announced later, |
hi all, message from hitv, Dear Partners, In the recent past one of the key customer service issues we’ve had to deal with is the occurrence of HiTV branded decoders that are unable to do auto scan for new channels, translate Zee Cinema and implement OTA. This is due primarily to the older software version on the decoders. Therefore EHL is embarking on an initiative to encourage customers come forward with their decoders for upgrade to the latest software (version 2.0.7) FREE and we also intend to use this exercise to update our customers’ records. Please note that these 2 versions need to be installed sequentially for maximum benefit. We have identified a pool of dealers and will require your help to disseminate the info and the software versions. The benefits of this upgrade to subscribers are: I. Automatic scanning of New Channels. II. Subtitling on Zee Cinema for HiTV customized decoders. III. OTA i.e. Over the Air- which subsequently enables OTA upgrades. Thanks, Martins Akingba Entertainment Highway Ltd 10 Ondo St. Ebutte Metta Lagos |
hi dclique, please please who told you Hi nolly airs only 2000-2007 movies.do you watch the channel at all or you listen to hear say.please watch the channel especially at night then you will know they air also air 2008 nollywood movies. hi niyi09,the picture breaking as been noted since yesterday and has nothing to do with over loading.if you noticed not all channels are affected e.g bbc,zee cinema, set africa and biscon.Eutelsat is working on something and soon will stop breaking. hi all setanta will come up soon.there are issues with the feed ones that is worked on it will be added. hi ekonibaje, pls always wait for the activation process to take place and stop this 'please activate me posts'.note that since you have been sending your requests i have never worked on any of them, because they will come up once payments details are sent to hitv.that is to tell you that the activation process is now working fine.stop making it sound as if the activation process at hitv don't work.thank you |
hi all read this, In what is seen as a major shift of loyalty, Arab Radio & Television (ART) is dropping its long-time conditional access provider Irdeto in favour of Viaccess. ART broadcasts Arabic-language programming to the Middle East. ART has been using Irdeto for its Middle East transmissions since it started broadcasting in 1994. However, Viaccess has also been a supplier to ART for transmissions going into North Africa for the past 11 years. This new agreement, signed Nov 11, sees Viaccess being used on a migration process from Irdeto. “Being the main player of Pay TV in the MENA region, ART Network needs to be the pioneer in adopting the latest technology that is shaping the future of our industry,” said Abdul Aziz Yamani, ART’s technology CEO, (pitured above with Francois Moreau de Saint Martin, Viaccess’ CEO). “The shift is of strategic implication, and Viaccess technology meets our requirements and objectives.” Viaccess’ CEO François Moreau de Saint Martin, said: “ART is signing with us for a project which covers the migration of their clients in the Middle East. We have a good relationship with ART with good results, and they have decided to adopt our technology for the Middle East. We expect some volume of business to flow from this agreement although it isn’t going to happen in one day.” The question now for other broadcasters in the region, not least Showtime Arabia, which up to now has been very much a technology partner with ART (and also uses Irdeto encryption), is what might Showtime do. All Viaccess would say on the subject is that they have had conversations with all of the local pay-TV players from time to time. Nevertheless, and by any measure, this is a significant business ‘win’ for Viaccess. |
