GOW is really a hard game. The puzzles particularly are very difficult to solve, difficult enough to require gameplay precision, speed and patience and at times this might turn from challenging to frustrating.
However while the graphics is far above par, the excellent narration, the badass kratos, the cool hack and slash weapons and the boss fight takes the cake for me

9ineGames: finally we get a demo of god of war(ascension)single player!!which is set to hit the market this coming February...share your experience with god of war fans and reasons why u enjoy or love playing it!!!for more updates and news like 9ineGames on Facebook*(www.facebook.com/9inegames)
let me start:
*its hard to play
i dont know where u hail cos here in Nigeria ps3/360 games are not only very expensive but very scarce which is a shame cos ps4/720 would b in store soon and developers would shift their interest to the new platform. It is only more economical to wait till the price of GOW Ascension drops b4 going for it. GOW 3 is still quite costly.
That being said, GOW Ascension would hit the shelves on March 12th, not february.
Yes MK is cool, yes MK has a cool storyline, and yes the tekken storyline does lack a little depth, honestly I do not even know half their stories. On the contrary I am sure that most people know and love the MK storyline and can spew character facts for days.

Bottom line though is that it all comes down to the fighting and fighting engine, which I believe is much better on the tekken series than Mk series.

You have to love game engines that afford the user multiple or seemingly endless scenarios, i.e GTA letting you explore and do whatever, same with Batman and so on. The tekken series possesses a fighting engine that is way above that of MK, actually not even in the same league.

If subzero had say at least 20 diff moves, then I would understand, but its like freeze here, there, and oh up there, and thats it, where as Marshall Law for instance could kick you low, fake kick, fake kick to real kick, fake kick to grab, basically almost every combination available. Common any true fighting fan would have to appreciate THAT LEVEL OF FIGHTING DEPTH.
I told u i played tekken 4 and 5. The game was very cheap and i beat the arcade mode quite easily. U will understand that beating the arcade mode is really hard for MK not to talk of lengthy konquest mode. A lot of gamers complain Mk lost track in Ps2 era but we all know this isnt completely true. Deception and armageddon introduced obstacles, variety of fighting styles for each fighter, weapons and evn the awesome air combat. How about Mk 2011? Mayb u v seen it b4. Like i said, am rating tekken franchise with tekken 4 and 5. Which mean u can prove my rating wrong by highlighting more positive details in gameplay or story of later tekken games just like i have done with Mk.
And tekken fighting engine isnt as realistic as MK 's mayb u should closely inspect Mk vs dc or mk2011.

Sometimes people close enough to us, our best friend, relatives, betray us, blackmail us deliberately let us down yet we r forced to live with them incapable of demanding an apology or getting back at them. Whatever they do, we always need our family or friends.
Back in the past i used to have a friend whose father was plain nasty drunkard, not the right attitude for a poor man, who need to do a lot of bricklaying to make ends meet, is it? With his mom out of question, his father dubbed him as an obstacle,a liability and parasite who is not in anyway useful.
It didnt come as a surprise when we learnt his dad was wanted for stealing Cement bags but i was really taken aback to learn shortly after he sneaked out of his house one evening, d police came barging in arresting his Son, my friend who was unaware of his fathers sudden absence and demanding with threats for his old man 's whereabout. Not having any clue, he protested, pleaded and cried to be set free, having nothing to do with his father 's absence or cement bags but his pleas fell on deaf ears of furious policemen, tired playing hide and seek with a petty thief.
After a whole day in cell suffering at d hands of cruel officers determined to physically beat the truth out of him,i decided a friend was badly in need and so first thing the next morning, his second day in cell, i was at the police station.
Just like his neighbour did, i tried to speak to the officer in charge, politely pointing out the innocence of a 17 years old friend who shouldn't be made a mincemeat of for crime he neither commit nor support. Then all of a sudden the police did something neither u nor i could ever imagine. He pulled out a pistol from his drawer and pointed it at my forehead. For the first time ever, i found myself at a gunpoint, i froze with fear, i was shivering from head to toe, i was one click away from kicking the bucket.
However, it wasnt my time yet, i was pulled out and thrown out of the station by another officer. But the shock really hit me hard, for about 60 seconds, i was too dazed to speak or move.
Not to take too much of your time my friend was set free on the third day when it was clear that even beating him till eternity won't provide an answer. As for the old man, he turned back the stolen cement and pleaded with the owner who not only forgive him but treated him with some cash afterwards for being a regretful theif.
How about my friend, he didn't get anything from uncle sam, not even a pat on the back.

joangirl: My ex boy friend who was very wicked to me,beat me,insulted me at every given instance and even threw me out naked at the middle of the night is getting married this saturday and everybody is congratulating him and wishing him the best.I feel so so angry right now. I dont want him back cos I called it off when it got to a point I couldn't bear it any longer.I just feel bitter that a man who was wicked to me is happy smiling(saw the engagement pics on fb)and everybody is congratulating him.I think this is the most traumatic experience of my life cos I can't sleep, have been so irritated since he personally called me to invite me for the wedding.he lives close to the house so everybody would know about the wedding very soon.and me I can't boast of a boyfriend.feeling so bad, father lord pls c me thru
Now ur story really threw me for a loop. It got me wondering, God, is it possible to be in love with someone yet treat them like a servant? The only thing that cheered me up was u didn't let him do d dumping as most girls would, u dumped him for good urself.
u not forgiving him is easy for me to relate with. I suppose he should have realised his cruelty and apologised to u by now most especially as he is getting settled.
Maybe u have a better boyfriend now, maybe u r still waiting for Mr. Right, whatever d case am truely sorry this guy nearly ruined u and i wish u happier days ahead.
The whole tekken series is like the craziest series ever!

k, lemme tone it down a bit, lol. Tekken is just a masterpiece, I mean over 100+ moves per character keeps your opponent guessing, its almost like ur playing chess and one wrong move = check, two wrong moves = check mate.

EPIC!
Tekken? The only thing i love about it is the beautiful graphics. I have played tekken 4 and 5 and they really fail to deliver the thrill and coolness that Mortal kombat have. Evn d storyline is too shallow for my liking.
Dont tell me fighting games dont need a damn good story, they do, even racing games have good stories.
I havent seen the ps3 versions yet but then u were praising the whole series which i cant stand after playing 4 and 5.
Tekken is ok for kids, and maybe adults who want a little tease, not for guys that clamour for intense gaming experience.
I understand your point of view really. Nothing in this article is 100% concrete but if a guy is truly interested in you, he'd know what to do.
this is what u girls and evn some guys keep saying to bottle up ur fear of rejection. A guy might like u well enough and still not be able to make the move due to one reason or d other.
No problem if u abhor making first move but pls stop saying if he truely loves me, he 'd surely ask'. Just tell us u can't do it cos u fear rejection,u want to be chased and pampered or cos u feel too important.
U know, its just like Mr.A and Mr.B r expected to bury the hatchet, any of the duo can b d first to put aside his ego and apologise but neither will cos both value themselves as too big/special/important to be the first to apologise.

Although I do believe in number 1 and 2. No offense.
Hey! can u read this?
True talk u didn't do this write up, its all copy and paste but u posted it not because u believe in it(that not being an issue),but because u want every lady to apply it. So u v done something and ur deed here is--"Advicing against ladies making the first move". Dont be hesistant to admit ur deed, i don't approve it but u have your right to advice anybody just as we have d right to turn down your advice.
Romance › Re: 3 Things You Should NEVER Do For A Man! by usermane(m): 11:12am On Jan 19, 2013
U see when u say a man must chase u to prove he loves u then u r saying men don't need the love of women hence women shouldn't chase. For me a relationship is driven forward by efforts from both ends. Finding myself in a relationship were i do all d chasing,calling.... is unfair.
If u refuse to ask a guy out due to fear of rejection it is understandable. However refusing to make the first move cos u believe he will take u 4 granted or tarnish ur ego is not genuine. If u ask him out and he abuses his priviledge then get rid of him. Nobody is forcing u to ask but don't give selfish reasons to justify ur not doing it.

I cant say, u got 2 have played several games before u compare and contrast to get your choice. But nevertheless, from my small library of games, just these 2 really stand out clearly ahead of the rest.
1.Resident Evil 4. 2005 GOTY get my first vote here.
Racoon city police agent leon is on an unbelievably horrific rescue mission for U.S president daughter Ashley Graham but he soon learn he has more than a damsel in distress to cater for.
A Beautiful, superb graphical animation complemented by a revolutionary over the shoulder third person shooting view style, so intense to keep u at d edge of ur seat throughout is no less than the icing on the cake for me.
2.God Of War 2.
The god of war Kratos,a fierce, vengeful baddass antihero undeservedly betrayed by the same gods that raised him to bcome their kind equip himself with blades, hacking and slashing beast, beings, titans on his way down on a lengthy, determined quest pivoted by massive rage but satiable only by shearing to bloody pieces, Zeus the king of the gods and ruler of olympus.
Honorable mention
Metal Gear solid 3.
MK: Armageddon
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time

luckynzo: Has anybody finished this game? Am mastuck in the los Illuminados temple. The map shows 2 doors which I'm finding hard to open. One has a man on a horse with a spear trying to kill what looks like a lion with a snake taile; the one that shut after the speech by that dwarf that told me to surrender. The other door adjacent to it is also locked. Am stuck there and according to the map, the way out is through one of those doors? What do I do?
Notice that if leon get close to the door with the lion, he tells that 'it look like sth might fit in2 these'
That is a puzzle for u d gamer. Its not as simple as opening one of d doors to proceed
Move around the temple, searching every corner, u will end up finding 3 insigna keys to attach to the carving on one of those door . As soon as u attach the 3 keys, the puzzle is solved, the door with d carvings automatically opens and there is ur way.
U must be patient and careful while u search,it took time 4 me to find the keys, expecially the third one but it was worth it in the end.
Anymore question and am ready to help.
Gaming › Re: Playing Pes To Become A Guru by usermane(m):
@derespect. Am not so into football, am into Third Person shooters, hack and slash/beat em up, wrestling and fighting games like Mortal kombat. I can help u though.
What u do when ready to shoot is:
Press shoot ,holding the direction u want the ball to go whether left or right. Effective within or around 18 yard box. Dont press too hard or for long else u miss the goal.
Also u can press Shoot, R1 and L1 at d same time to angle the ball, very reliable for 1 on 1 situation.
Another way of beating the keeper at 1 on 1 is the Lob shot. Once close enough to the goalie, simply tap shoot botton and L2 to chip the ball over him.
U can take a long shot from a range by holding shoot and forward botton for a one or two seconds, depending on how far away your goal is.
Well this is for Ps2/PS3. The botton for xbox differ from these. U can check for hints during a match by reading the button configuration or command list. Most importantly, Practice makes Perfect.

Two days, no response!!. Lots of nairalanders are Pes/fifa fans, some even got ps2/ps3/360 at home to themselves yet we have no response for an amateur?
Gaming Section of nairaland is too dry,it is boring and it lacks the elements to drive non gamers into video gaming. What rekindled my dying enthusiasm for gaming was reading numerous online articles, gaming threads or sections years back.
Moderators, nairaland gaming section need thorough Rehabilitation,Restructuring and Revolution through creating INNOVATIVE THREADS.
It so happens that i stumbled upon this thread by chance and as a comic nerd, i couldn't resist the urge to post.
So here goes.

On a whole, there're only 4 super power sets i want.
1.) Franklin Richards, Son of Reed Richards (Fantastic Four) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franklin_Richards
Reality warping and bending. Resurrected Galactus once to fight off celestials. Fixed a dying sun. To name a few.

2.) Kid Omega, Quientin Quire http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kid_Omega

3.) Sentry, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sentry_(Robert_Reynolds)
Possesses the power of a million exploding suns

4.) David Charles Haller, aka Legion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legion_(Marvel_Comics))

If i can't have any of the above, then i'll simply be content with having Magnetos powers. Think he's weak? He's stopped the earth from spinning once and almost reversed it's polarity. Try scaling that for awesomeness.
nd.gfx, do u read comic books?, where do u get your copies

Everyone has the right to like or dislike a move.
Everyone has the right to pursue their noble desire.
Even Guys stalk too, more than girls to be honest.
If getting asked out by a lady conveys her as cheap to u,well that 's not too much of a bitter pill to swallow and i can live with that. But coming here, yelling how much u loathe it and pushing us to marry your opinion is selfish and not in anyway considerate Big man.
Its simple, if u don't like her just turn her down with due respect and sure she would move on to a more deserving guy.
