PEACE. Am a bit too late for this,but better late than late. Pls do check the following;
SAHIH MUSLIM; Book of Hajj; Number 2803.
SAHIH MUSLIM; Book 31; Number 5920
This is for those who investigate, for those who probe and for those who reason.
Islam › Re: Women's Rights by usermane(m): 2:29pm On Aug 27, 2013
Peace. Let me tell ya something, playa. She exposed her butt? Hmmh listen,it 's unfortunate she chose to abuse her liberty, other women even in the west,am certain would have done better, even though they got equal freedom.
Islam › Re: Women's Rights by usermane(m): 1:57pm On Aug 27, 2013
This is unfortunate. Then qur'an just like the gospel and torah, came in with guidance, uplifting people, upgrading societal status of women. Yes, that is what God wants. He wants women to receive just and equal treatment from men. But Homo sapien sapien have a habit of disobeying The Lord 's rules, ya know. And truely that is what we have today. Muslims have quietly relegated women inspite of what the final testament says. And even though a lot of muslims would disagree with me, i know there are few ones capable seeing things beyond man made deceptions.
Western women have more freedom than eastern women and the mature and decent ones among them know how to attain success with this liberty without falling into vices. Any western woman who has become abused or victimized let that happen to herself, her blame lies on no one.
In the east? Dont get me started, even with the qur'an they claim as their constitution, they are found wanting in women 's aspect, that is they don't even follow the Statute Book. Eastern women fall short of many priviledges and rights their western counterparts enjoy. Talk of clothing, marriage, religious stigma, expression, job, education, politics, sports and so on. All these in the name of Islam. Praise be to the Lord of the Universe He doesnt put upon us a burden unbearable. And he is aware of all the falsehood we attribute to Him.
Islam › Re: What Are We To Make Of Seun’s Comment On Islam by usermane(m): 12:31pm On Aug 27, 2013
Peace, Seun had a point but i think it is too much of a stretch to claim that preventing non muslims from "violence" is the motivation is the motivation behind creating a separate section for the muslims. Is there anything lyk online violence?
Islam › Re: Do We Really Worship An Almighty God? (tough Questions For Tbaba) by usermane(m): 12:17pm On Aug 27, 2013
Peace. Maybe we should reignite it. The way i see it, ramadan is long gone. I left d thread because people felt we were bashing muslims but GOD knows my intention.
Islam › Re: Islam Is Not A Religion Of Violent... by usermane(m): 10:54am On Aug 24, 2013
Thanks so much for the effort, OP. This is nothing new. What we have here are two parties accussing each other of the same thing, the very same thing they are guilty of. While many muslims are free to criticize the westerners of corruption and immoralities. They tend to be unaware of such mischiefs that have been piled up gradually in their societies over time under the guise of Islam.
This is a religious thread and i saw the moderators' warning for the posters, so the less i write, the less my chances of getting my post deleted or my username banned.
It 's just a known fact that people hardly see the errors of their ways, muslims or non muslims.
Islam › Re: Do You Think Islam Need A Reform? As Some Islamic Scholars Do by usermane(m): 6:55pm On Aug 23, 2013
Saw it coming BetaThings....So typical of any theist. Well, a Reform isn't about changing the Creator 's rules, neither is it modifying the laws. It is about questioning our beliefs, our existence, about verifying the TRUTH, it is about confirming GOD 's TRUE commandments. And that 's why i love Detectives, guys, their job is all about a relentless quest for truth.
Romance › Re: Is It Bad Dating Or Marrying A Guy Or Lady Of Different Religious Belief by usermane(m): 6:25pm On Aug 21, 2013
rugipp: My parents aren't saying we cant marry each other may be because am d guy ....basically it would av been easy to break the relationship, but we both know dat we love, knows each other flaws and can manage it both may be due to the fact we were both young wen we started. We started dating wen we were 17 and 18..making us both first time lovers. Here we are 5years plus gone.We worked our NYSC †̥o d same state and same town. My question to u is what do tink her parent can do if she gets pregnant? They are well learned and knows d implication of a female child having marital problems if they insists we cant marry each other.tanks
In as much as i wish it were simpler,i am afraid it isn't. Now i don't know her parent, nay i don't but i know something else. Yes, I do know that there are different kinds of muslim parents, some lenient enough to let a christain wed their girl but others so staunch and wont stand the idea of their daughter dating a non muslim, talk more of marrying her. With either kind and 2 b candid, no one would stand u getting their daughter pregnant & might get back at u or ban u from her even if u put her in a family way. Muslims considers premarital sex a gross sin and punish the offenders severely. Such is how difficult religious differences can make life be.
I say give it time pal, try to gradually address it. Get to know her parents, how much do they practise islam? Get to know her religion, Islam may not be as black as it appears, u two should reaccess which is the true lane to salvation while begging GOD to guide u.
Islam › Re: Do You Think Islam Need A Reform? As Some Islamic Scholars Do by usermane(m): 5:03pm On Aug 21, 2013
Well, then BetaThings. I respect ur response. It aint as simple as that, though. The million dollar question is, what is qur'an and sunnah and what are muslims practising today? Now u don't have to answer that if u desire not but u will agree with me that a religious reform is recommended if adherents deviate from original teachings of their scripture, when their beliefs and approach to circumstances antagonise morality, logic and reasoning. However, it all comes down to an individual level and just as u believe no sort of reform is needed, some others believe something is wrong with the system and a reform is needed. The same applies to christianity.
Now, i don't expect u to agree with me, that is the point of the OP afterall.
I ,however got 2 admit the best way to look into this topic is to approach it with an open heart, putting away one 's biase, one 's ego, one 's defiance to new infos, one 's sentiments. Then going back to GOD, Scriptures and Islamic history during and after the lifetime of the deliverer of the Qur'an. For the Muslims in particular, it aint unfair to also try view your beloved religion through another pair of eyes, i mean a fresh pair.
Romance › Re: Is It Bad Dating Or Marrying A Guy Or Lady Of Different Religious Belief by usermane(m): 10:19am On Aug 21, 2013
Good morning nairalanders. OP,i do understand ur situation here but trust me, getting her pregnant is an immoral way of going about it. Don't evn consider that as an option. The later severe consequences quite outweigh the benefits. I feel your pain, starcrossed lover. Her guardians says 'no' and urs say 'no'. U should have anticipated this & planned in advance during undergraduate days, now is the 11th hour my friend.
One of you have to convince the other that "my religion is the true path". And even then, considering how religious adherent treat apostates,it is highly unlikely it would work out in d end. So u might find quitting at this point a considerable bet.

Kingspin: I, was watching a documentary, on Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him on one Muslim channel Peace TV.
According to them, Prophet Muhammad was born in Mecca,570CE.
He was an orphan.Under the guardianship of the Uncle who raised him as a business man in Mecca, to Syria.
Muhammad, first, marriage was Lady Khadijah, his exployee. They had four children.Muhammad, also, has a Christian cousin.
At forty, 610CE, Muhammad received the first revelations when praying inside the Cave of Hira in Mecca.
Most Meccans ignored him & maltreated him along his fellowers. The rulers of the city accused him of threatened to overthrow their religious & governmental activities.
The Prophet, left Mecca to Madina, after the city of Mecca & their allies made a decision to eliminate him.
Muhammad, & his fellowers escape from Mecca to Madina.
He continued his message in Madina. And categorical told his followers not to refer him as the Abraham,Moses and Jesus Christ.
He ruled and controlled the social, economic, political lives of the people in Madina.
Also, after migration to Medina,Muhammad at his fifties married several women & gave birth to many children.
According to the documentary,Muhammad, perceived ill-treatment from non followers, at that point, he considered war(Jihad) to press strongly his message & struggle to those enemies of his teachings.
In, 623CE.The Prophet enjoined the community to avoid wars & violence as far as possible,& it should only be the absolute last resort, when all other avenues have been exhausted. He also told them not to draw their swords except in dire need.
Later, the Muslims, led by Prophet Muhammad have to fought a number of battles with the Meccans & their allies armies. They won & lost some.
On eighth Ramadan year, friday,The Prophet of Allah took with him all the muslim troops which numbered ten thousands to arrived Mecca,in the evening. It is reported the Meccans were concerned & feared that muhammad has come with full force & might attack them. They quickly surrender to Muhammand & his fellowers who than enter the city and ruled them.
The word Jihad appears 41 times in Quran.
The most liberal Muslim
intellectuals who have focused
on religious reform of Islam, include Muhammad Ali, Sayyid al- Qimni, Nasr Abu Zayd, Khalil Abdel-Karim, Abdolkarim Soroush, Mohammed Arkoun, Mohammed Shahrour, Ahmed Subhy Mansour, Edip Yuksel, Gamal al-Banna, Abdullahi Ahmed An-Na'im , Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, Javed Ahmad Ghamidi, Ahmed Al-Gubbanchi , Mahmoud Mohammed Taha, and Faraj Foda. The last two of these, Taha and Foda, were
killed in the wake of claims of apostasy, while most of the others have been accused of
apostasy by traditional Islamic scholars.
What is your stake on this?
You r right, kingspin, islam of today need reform. The question is why is the reform needed and how could the reform b attained?
Islam › Re: Do You Think Islam Need A Reform? As Some Islamic Scholars Do by usermane(m): 11:04am On Aug 20, 2013
enilove: Forget this Islam , it is a way of destruction.
with due respect, enilove. Its not as simple as making such a hasty conclusion. Enilove, the OP got a point. I agree islam need reform. And there is a way out, am frank about this. All we need is to put aside our ego and be open minded.
Islam › Re: Mohammed's Marriage To 9yr Old Aisha Doesn't Justify Child Marriage Today-sheikh by usermane(m): 9:09am On Jul 30, 2013
Now Readers, why don't we have a closer examination of this saudi paper headline provided this news is verified. Put aside the fact that child marriage is illegal, picture this, a forcefully married girl, a weak and saddened mom, a mean and unconcerned dad and an insensitive but self centered suitor. Put all these together, u 'll have one big unhappy family. Is this Islam?. Really, really, reallyhuh Well, only those who live in denial would accept this, finding one or two lame explanations to condone it. The same people who can't live in unislamic states, the same people who describe themselves as the best in line with God 's verses shouldn't back up such unholy behaviours.
The world is watching and listening, nothing can be hidden for so long because of the internet. The only impression it gives non muslims is that
Islam is one hell of a male dominant faith, with no regard for women 's preference or choice and not even me can tolerate such a primitive religion.
This kind of marriages are common in muslim countries and even in northern Nigeria yet muslims keep wondering why non muslims pay deaf ears to their invitations. It doesn't even help to know that there are lot of authentic hadiths depowering and devalueing women. Muslims clearly still have cleaning up to do, a lot of cleaning up that require way more than several brooms and dusters. A true religion should be all about God 's word and not a blend of God 's word with a cultural/ancestoral tradition.
An Islamic convert once said "If I had learnt Islam From The Muslims, I Would Never Have Become A Muslim".
Islam › Re: Mohammed's Marriage To 9yr Old Aisha Doesn't Justify Child Marriage Today-sheikh by usermane(m): 6:47am On Jul 30, 2013
Oh, am a bit too late for this. But it doesn't change a thing, i 'll still drop my 2 cents.
These all started with Mr. Ahmed Sani Yerima 's controversial marriage to a 13 year old GIRL. And now, here we got a worse scenario in a country that claim to be so Islamic, so pure.
Obviously marriage is intended for Men and women, not boys and girls. A female of 9,11, or 13 is still a girl.
I do not want to believe that Aisha(R.A) married at 6 or consumated her marriage at 9. Anyone who agrees with such a hadith should think again. A prophet wouldn't do such a lustful thing. And that is why we got two kind of Muslims, those who the hadith books mean everything to and those who the hadith books doesn't mean a damn thing to.
This is child abuse. A lot of muslims might justify these acts defending that it serve to protect the chastity of the young girls whose non muslim counterparts are found unchaste long before their adulthood. See i don't buy any of these excuses, child marriage(forced or not) has it fair share of demerits, nobody should promote it, especially at this age, there is more to life of a girl than chastity, marriage and children. Time has changed, people don't need to embrace the current trend of immorality but people ought to Say NO to what the likes of Yerima is doing in this day and age. Deal with that.

@Tbaba1234 and Nairatalks, what brought the issue of female Islamic scholars? Am not disputing the issue of 8000 female scholars versed in Qur'an and Hadith. We, however were talking about backwardness of the muslim in terms scientific application and technological invention. You guys should give response to why the east is lagging behind when it comes to innovations. Why do they have to import most of their electronics, vehicles or computers? Why dont we have anything in our countries like Nigeria imported from them?

Alright some of ya playas don't buy the law of retribution. I might open a thread on it, not necessarily in this section or in a couple of days, so that both muslims and christians can contribute their respective quotas. I wouldn't want to derail this thread. Just chew on this for now:
Every wrong deed or crime has a punishment. The law of causation, the law of action and reaction, the law of compensation all tie into Law of Retribution.
