arthurwillia: It all depends on who u knw. A very close friend of mine paid 2.5mil for Space agency in 2019, he even asked me to look for money so we could resign from where we were working then but I could not raise the money. I even offered to pay 1 million so that once I resumed I'll pay the rest but they never accepted that offer. He's still there now working My bro also got appointment with a top federal agency and didn't pay a dime. It felt like a dream to him when he was invited to come collect his appointment letter cos it was too good to be true. He will be one 1 there this month. Me too I'm certain of getting a federal appointment soon and it's completely based on merit, walked into the agency submitted my cv and marketed my self well. Got contacts of top people in the agency and I was called for interview after 3 months of submitting my cv. I will be resuming soon.. 3 Likes |

For me i don't want to say I'm job less cos I currently have two appointment letters, I got one in November last year a month and half after I got terminated on my last job while I got a second appointment letter in Feb this year but I ve not resume any of the job because 9f one reason or the other. It's really frustrating cos I'm so broke now I am struggling to live everyday. I hope I get to resume one of the jobs before the year runs out Sha cos both offer are good. |

Politics / Re: Massacre - Nigeria Army Gun Down 7 Protesting Dangote Workers by usman3688(m): 8:36am On Jul 16, 2021 |
I condemn the actions of the soldiers but I will like to let you guy knw that the protesters are the cause of the problems. The management have always tried to be nice and fair to them but they are always making one demand or the other. I am currently a staff of that company, I got my appointment last year December from Dangote's Lagos office and was sent there to resume. Two weeks after resumption they came to protest that the company are employing people from outside their community and they even came with weapons to attack us but luckily we were not on the premises on the day they came. The next day the management call all 10 of us and told us we should stay away for some time untill the issue is resolved. It's 8 months now and we r still home, no salary, nothing and we all resigned from our previous job. Just to let you knw only 4 out of the 10 of us employed are not from adamawa state the remaining 6 are from adamawa state but they were adamant that their community members only should be employed. Another reason is that this company has about 7000ha of sugarcane that should have been crushed last year but this people frustrated all their effort, I don't think 20% was crushed, the company is losing money because of these protesting workers, they are provide with a good school, they employ them during crushing season and an uneducated worker could get about 100k during this period including overtime but still not enough for them. They get power supply from the company when even there is power outage but they still keep making demands. I believe the management had to take this drastic measure because they have been pushed to the wall as a result of their shenanigans. Perhaps they will have a rethink form this incident and be more civil about their demand. Let me add that these same people chased and Indian expatriate away from that company because he didn't employ them, the man told us he made the recruitment process open for everyone, conducted tests and screening and employed the most qualified candidates something they were not happy with. They can't have it their way always That's my take on this issue |

lazkizz: Pls tell them. They always think everywhere in the north is filled with hausa Muslim. I was in adamawa late last Yr and the place I stayed was predominantly Christians. I was like so surprised. Only one uncompleted mosque in the area. States like kaduna, bauchi, plateau, Taraba, borno have good numbers of Christian population. |

It's was mentally draining, I could see there was no future for me in that place. You only get promoted if you are Loyal to the GM and he likes you, same condition applies is you want a pay raise, your effort isn't appreciated no matter what, there is a lot of risk involved some life threatening, you could be at work today and the next day be sacked for one flimsy reason, the work environment is toxic, too many sycophants they can say the truth once they see oyinbo. Anything wey oyinbo talk is final no one can challenge them. I can continue to list them but let me stop here. I was actually laid off, I was called back after a few weeks but I decline because they could lay me off again for the same reason I was laid off the first time and I wasn't down with so I told my self I'd rather stay jobless than go back there something I have no regrets for even though I don't have a job yet; at least my mental health is better now. 13 Likes 1 Share |

If a governor builds a road they will now be organizing commissioning ceremony as if he used his money to build it. For me this country is not progressing ooo, na back we dey go. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Owaincouncil: Let me correct you, firstly it wasn't a slot that was given to me, I submitted my CV sometime last year and I was called for interviews 3 months after. I also have a diploma so for them to ignore my diploma and go ahead with employing me with my O level then I believe there is a problem somewhere or they just have their own pay scale or so |

Hello everyone, please I need your opinion on this issues. I got an employment letter for federal government job I interviewed for last year. During the interview the panel actually told me I am way too qualified for the position they are interviewing me for to which I replied them I will take the offer as long as I can progress and grow through the ranks and they told me that they loved my reply that that was what they were expecting me to say. Today, I received a mail containing my appointment letter and I see the gave me grade level 3 step 2. Although it is a newly commissioned government agency and I am a university graduate with about 5 years work experience. Now I am confused with the grade level I am being offered. Secondary, I currently have another appointment letter with a private company lacated in the north east, the salary is good with allowance and the working condition is not so bad, I would have loved to take that offer but the location is not favorable to me as my family is scattered between the north west and south west so going to the north east to work will be a difficult thing for me. I'll be glad if I could get your opinions on this, I don't know how much the Government job would pay yet. 14 Likes 6 Shares |
