ComputersRe: Are There Keyboards With Usb Cords? by uspry1(f): 1:04pm On Apr 03, 2008
Yes there are USB keyboard. Also there are wireless keyboard too! However, majority most people prefer their KEYBOARD that has its own keyboard port.

I suspect that maybe your keyboard port cord loose in the rear that make it not function properly. Or your keyboard is filled with dirt and dust with it. All you need to do is getting a mini-vaccuum to clean up your keyboard.

BIG NO-NO-NO, if you spill any liquid into your keyboard. It will become not fucntion, you have to buy another one.

For me, I don't think about giving NAIRALANDER a chance in the name of LOVE!

What I see here Nairaland, is full of HYPOCITES, DESPERATE, SEX-MANICS, IMMATURE, GHETTO-SLANGS, INSULT and INEXPERIENCED people, lot of yahoo-yahoo americizm wannabees with Nigeria traits, like @Teejay07 has said it all.

Very few NLers found the love in order to get married. Very few, maybe 5 of them out of 188,194 Nairaland members. Maybe I could be wrong!!!

I agreed with someone's famous quote: NO PERMANENT FRIENDS, NO PERMANENT ENEMIES ON Nairaland! (i know who said it!)

@POSTER

Wish you the luck as Nairaland match-maker! It would be nice if NL clean up getting seriously like other forums and social networking to find soulmates wink

I have noticed lot of girls dumped good ones for other guy who already committed to their loved ones to mess around unsuspected girl's emotional in the name of LOVE. (for him, just LUST, LUST, LUST) angry

Most girls cannot tell the difference LOVE vs. LUST!!!

For you @machibabe, if you still want him, go ahead as your sexual relationship but this guy will never dump his girlfriend for you, he stays serious committed to his girlfriend until marriage. He simply uses you----THAT'S ALL!!!

I agreed with @aisha2, ayanjide and olanajim have said it all!!!

I accepted your apologize. You still get wrong about 1st tier degree.

By the way I have two bachelor degrees with Summa Cum Laude 3.9 GPA along with 90 credits transferring from my old US college transcript being waivered for 18 months accelerated distance university. I have 20 years working experience and 8 years business.

No thank you for you to visit my East Coast area! Go pick on your own size! Bye @Switcher I follow what you said ignoring your posts.

@poster (bigold)

Like I said, don't wait too long for marriage while screening JAMB. Go for it i mean getting married NOW!
RomanceRe: My Boy Friend Want Us To Get Married But: by uspry1(f): 4:24pm On Apr 02, 2008
@bigold

I strongly believe that you can marry him now while going school. Nothing wrong with it!

6 years relationship is pretty long time---ready to get married.  Normally 2-years committed relationship leads into marriage except for going college/university---some wait till after graduation which means 4-years committed relationship until getting married after college graduation or some with 2-years committed relationship go ahead getting married while going school.

That's my opinion what I believe in.

Switcher:
Uspry1,

Who are you and are you Nigerian? You know little about Nigerians from your post

and we don't know what you talkin' about. Be clear maybe we can help expantiate

on it better. Mind you, before leaving Nigeria, I gained admission to the university

straight after graduating from high school at age 16.
Switcher:
Then where is she from? Certainly not the US. Else she's highly unexposed and unenlightened. Even when I was 14, I knew exams like GRE, GMAT, LMAT,

MCAT are recommended for graduate and professional schools in the US, while SATs and ACTs for undergraduate admissions.

Besides, I seem not to understand why she had to stress the monetary part and that she's aware of poverty situation in Nigeria. Nigerian educational is

not as expensive as those in the US and people can relatively afford it. Most Nigerian pals I had in college here were living really comfortable without no

jobs. Thats to show that although Nigeria can be seen as poor country, there are still people who can afford even the most expensive education at

schools like Olin, MIT, Harvard or Princeton even without any finaid.

Besides, your grammar sucks big time. I wonder who you converse with in the east cost with such grammatical constructions. Must be from the real lower class.

Better learn to respect Nigerians as we frequently come out the best in what ever we "really" want to do.
@Switcher

You are new Nairaland member and did not dig out who I am on Nairaland. You don't know me well! I am not Nigerian as @D-reloaded has said it! I am truly US-citizenship! I am not a lower class! I am happened to be college-educated entrepreneur.

Oops! for ACT as graduate admission, it should make correction for SAT/ACT as undgraduate admission and  GRE, GMAT, LMAT, MCAT for graduate admission as @D-reloaded and you have said it!

Don't criticize the person who happens to be deaf person with Sign Language as first language and English as second language. It is obviously you @Switcher DO NOT KNOW NOTHING ABOUT DEAF CULTURE as ignorants like most Americans are. angry

What's wrong with American-African (AA) who want to learn more about Nigeria culture just like me? You sound like you insult me not welcome to Nigerian forum discussion here. There are only few AA on Nairaland members who are non-Nigerians. huh?

You violated with Nairaland rules as personal attack against me. Then apologize me what you have insulted me so far this thread! Jeez!

@4Him and D-reloaded

Thank you for clarification about Nigerian education system!
RomanceRe: My Boy Friend Want Us To Get Married But: by uspry1(f): 2:33pm On Apr 02, 2008
Help me to understand Nigeria Education system for those Nigerian who want entering university admission just like this poster, @bigold, 24 years old.

I keep hearing from Nairaland-friends with their age bracket between 23-30 always say i want to go univ but must find a way getting money for JAMB exam. HUH? What happen to 18 years old high school graduate taking JAMB exam first, the JAMB exam result would keep as their future reference until student is ready to go univ at later time?

Why can't a Nigerian high school student, who is seriously go for entering university, take JAMB exam before their graduation instead of waiting for GETTING MONEY FIRST in order taking JAMB exam entering university? The similar way American senior high school students are required to take SAT/ACT (undergraduate admission) or GRE/GMAT/LMAT/MCAT (graduate admission) exam entering universities/colleges. [correction made]

I hope you NLer understand what i mean. I am aware of poverty and poor education system without financial aid/scholoarship/student loan programs Nigeria does not have.

Very important like what @dayooye has said it all, once you finished clean format, you MUST DOWNLOAD Windows XP Update in order to obtain its Service Pack 2, not Service Pack 3 beta yet and your favorite all-in-one System Protection on Anti-virus, Anti-spyware, Anti-Phishing, Firewall, Email/Internet control, etc. like McAfee, Norton, or AVG.

ALWAYS UPDATE all software adding new patch(es) to protect your computer/laptop ALL THE TIME.

Right now there is over ONE MILLIION virus (worm, malware, trojan, etc.) affected!!! NO JOKE!!! shocked

That is your entire responsible to take care of your computer/laptop, just like you take care of your car!!!

For me, i will plan working on my own Flash-based Videochat with whiteboard thru Flash Media Server provider later not now.

@stanoz.com

Yep! you were right about Polytechnic/University does not teach you about PHP/MySQL or any open-source programming! Only standard corporate popular software/programming they use to teach such as Dreamweaver, Flash, ASP, HTML, CSS, Perl/CGI, coldfusion and XML.

PHP, MySQL, PEAR, many other techie stuff are mostly self-taught study. PHP, MySQL, Flash Actionscripting are my self-taught which my distance university did not teach me.

Great that you have installed learning steep about Dreamweaver, XAMPP, PHP, and MySQL at your own, the same way i did learned 8 years ago. I have my own computer books library at my house that i never leave without it. LOL! Most programming/application technical tools i can refer them all the time.

I myself repolished my old web development certificate by pursing 2nd bachelor degree in Visual Communications (advanced web development with combined programming, photography, and graphic skills I already use) 4 years ago in order to become Creative Visual Designer.

@Uspry1's you worth to be a moderator of this forum i was so curious about it.
And can i ask you something, Why do u like the yoruba tribe than others? undecided
Sure you can ask me something! I thought I already answered why I liked the Yoruba tribe other than tribes, refer to my previous posting here the following link:

https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-112004.0.html#msg2002131

The 419er wrote Yoruba pidgin mixed with English I easily picked up to remember when we chat on YIM. Those words are common here on NL often! Like Ba wo ni, Gist me, odabo, haba, wetin you dey yarn,  like that. My NL-friend who is also Yoruba to teach me some via YIM.  grin

According to the google, Yoruba language is more popular for dictionary and foreign language tutorial started back 1995 by regular student. Carribean/Jamacia from google research also speak Yoruba pidgin too. That is why i chose Yoruba instead Hausa or Igbo.
