The rate of infidelity and divorce keeps soaring everyday, With prenuptial agreements and the advancement of the judicial system, divorces are easy now and marriages are no longer worth it to some people. Yes, plans change, people change, but here are questions you should be able to answer before going into the union to avoid a broken marriage.


1. Is this someone I want to spend the rest of my life with?

It's a basic question if you're in a serious relationship. Most times you notice the bad traits in your partner but wave it of with, he/she would change if we get married. It doesn't really work like that, you'd have to search your heart deep and know what you can put up with.


2. How much time do we have for each other?

Often you see working class men/women who barely have time for each other, the husband probably comes home late, and the wife maybe she doesn't work so much, at the times of her need, the husband maybe tired and reluctant to engage in any sort of bonding, cases like this lead to the other unsatisfied partner to infidelity.


3. Do the both of us have common values?

The question might be of moral, personal or religious value. Say for example, the guy is a Catholic and the lady is an atheist. In the long run there'd be surely clash of ideas esp on how you raise your children. One might believe in corporal punishment and the other doesn't. Family values also, some people prefer their privacy and maybe your spouse grew up where families troop in as they like.


4. Financial goals

Most couples fail to talk about this. What do we plan to do in the next few years? Who'd take care of this or the other one. Believe you me when you don't put a mind to the financial situation, one thing or two might happen and the disgruntled partner might leave.


5. Can you ignore the little things?

Being married is like being one, you have to pay attention to the little details. Usually after arguments, you need to get the idea that no one is right or wrong and move on. These little things if ignored dents the union and as time goes on can cause breakup.

To terminate, the act of bringing to an end of something. Your guess would be with the prefix of 'ex' there would be difference but it does almost mean the same thing.

7. RESTIVE/RESTLESS

Your first opinion of restive would be in a state of rest, but restive actually means being unable to stay silent or still, thereby restlessness.

8. VALUABLE/INVALUABLE

Valuable means of great worth. Invaluable also means the same thing, being useful and indispensable.
