I think some people on NL are complete baby and they have no idea of what development is all about.

Some places are long Overdue to be regenerated and that's exactly what Governor Fash is doing.

SOME PEOPLE DOESN'T LIKE CHANGES, No matter what you say or do to them in order to improve their lives and the their surroundings, they'll not understand but COMPLAIN.

For once let's HAIL anybody making difference afterall all we had before was EMBEZZLEMENT.

Well done Fash .

acidtalk: That statement is 100% true.
When these foo*ls cry out loud they assume he is talking of School books and exam kind of reading that's why the bunch of sorry a55 are all ranting and spitting all over.

For those blaming the system, that's just a silly excuse, the Likes of Ghandi, Malcome X, Martin Luther King, Mandela, and others became great from the worst of environment, system and racial abuses so what are these ones still crying about.
So what are you insinuating? Ok, can you tell me WHAT GOVERNMENT OBLIGATION IS OVER IT'S CITIZENS? They been given a responsibility to look after the country and the citizens not bashing the youth .....and stop comparing people, can you compare yourself with FELA KUTI.....this people are one of it's kind and they don't come around too often and how come they are thriving in overseas? Think before you comment and don't follow bandwagon.

acidtalk: Well, don't go judging because you don't wanna know what projects I have out there in the outer world that millions of people are benefitting from. All thanks to READING.

By the way, if you read, you don't have to feel affected by this his statement.

El-Rufai isn't lying on this one even though he is a frealing lier by nature.
I will suggest you take into consideration the vast contribution of the Nigerian government towards the youth before you can condemn.

it's very simple, something have to be given to the youth before you can expect any sort positivity in peoples life, you might have the privilege having a well equip family which others doesn't.

I'll say the youth have been let down and our politicians have an OBLIGATION to look after their citizens rather than passing in the Buck.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Youths Are Lazy And Don't Read - El-Rufai by Venchy:
El-Rufai !!! You and your cohort are the Author of the youth misfortune.

What legacy have the NIGERIAN leaders left for the youth to follow other than Stealing public fund, ruin Public schools and send their children to overseas to study at the best schools

The British have laid a foundation but our leaders refuse or should I say confuse and don't know how to go about things.

Nigerian leader should realise they have an obligation towards their citizens rather blaming them .....FOOL'S & HORSES.

Or is he referring to the NORTHERN YOUTH?
Rubbish!!!Why sight only the negative vices exported by Nigerian Muslims?if only you sighted that the Nigerian Muslims go to Saudi in the international Quranic recitation and come back victorious then i would have seen sense than the rubbish of Denmark example. while at the same time you fail to sight the numerous scam by Nigerian churches even in the USA and Ukraine. In as much, your story makes alot of sense i think even yourself is driven by our greatest killer ethno-religious hooliganism/phobia.
Laws are not enforced in Nigeria is a start.people must know there place and people need to respect others. You can not be a citizen and decide to go out and foment trouble or incite madness.lack of justice is what matters. The religions are good in there own way.It is the humans observing it here in Nigeria. Both Christians and Muslims alike.I have being to some churches and heard the raw anti-Islamic messages going on.The hate is everywhere and if not reversed then forget anything called unity. While the religious leaders in public claim love, neutrality and concern.Down under its nepotism, hate, acrimony and conspiracy. Veiled in political exploit. That's why i challenge myself to seek knowledge in an open manner. that has helped me.If only channeled it through Nigerian religious leaders i doubt my chances of doing it right.I support a censor on religious bodies and leaders preregistration of all religious associations and groups.regardless.
Why do you have to deviate from this vital point, there's .no particular person or tribe that's been PICKED ON but pointing out were the problem of NIGERIA as a country lies.

It's very simple, we need to CHANGE THE WAY WE REASON and embark on the basic things rather than Fucking about and running after materialistic things.

Right now, we have to start the change before we ruin ourselves with all this borrowed RELIGION...

Mind you I'm also a Muslim and SAUDI ARABIA has never been part of all the MADNESS as this guy said.

Northern Muslim are been brainwashed and the Christian Leaders are into money Making.....

This is not working, Imam and pastors need to READ the right part of the Holy book to us and our CRIMINAL AND MATERIALISTIC LEADERS.

Lol....una never hear ween, who no know go know when the time comes.

This is all NIGERIAN'S FAULT until we criticise our leaders and protest about their FOREIGN MEDICAL TREATMENT before there can be any changes or stop all the foreign medical treatment.

I'm sorry to say this, Nigerians life is worthless because we have careless PEOPLE IN GOVERNMENT.

NELSON MANDELA was treated without stepping out of SOUTH AFRICA but every Governor or Ministers are always outside Africa looking after themselves and ignoring the intelligent of NIGERIAN MEDICAL INTEGRITY.

Just of recent, Our president wife was in Germany for treatment, BUHARI, BABANGIDAS wife and many more were treated abroad because they have no idea THE IMPORTANCE OF HEALTH SERVICE.

Mr president also allocated ONLY 6%of the national budget to health service, how can you allocate such percentage for a country like NIGERIA with the population of over 150million, I don't blame him because he doesn't understand the importance of HEALTH .

UNTIL WE REALISE THAT NIGERIANS WILL HAVE TO STAND UP FOR THEMSELVES AS WELL AS STOPPING THEM FROM GOING ABROAD AND BE TREATED AT HOME TO SHOW THEY ARE THEIR FOR NIGERIANS NOT THEMSELVES AND THEIR FAMILIES.

So there is not ''one good road'' anywhere, yes? This is why we should just grab some of you self hating, loathsome idiots and just throw you into Somalia or Sudan so you'll really see a place with one good road. Inferiority complex ravaged fool.
Slow down Brov, no vex if my opinion pepe you for body because it sounds like you are spokes man for the Government.

First of all, I'll like to ask you where you reside in NIGERIA, what road is perfectly Good enough to compare with international roads?

Do you know the death rate on nigerian roads without no road signs and made of substandard materials?

I think your knowledge about infrastructures is limited to what you have around you.

Step out of Nigeria and you'll know what I'm talking about as you are the REAL IGNORANT

There's no point having a discussion or argument with people like you cos you have no IDEA.

Nigerians likes dreaming, I'll suggest to everyone in support of this forecast or projection to look back at the projection about Brazil, India along side Nigeria.

Can we all take a look at other countries and check where Nigeria is today .....AT 52 we still can boast of one GOOD ROAD you can travel on to another state.

It's not a ROCK SCIENCE, our leaders are CROOKS AND CLUELESS.....I'll also urge you to take a account of how many scandal without no persecution of no body.

God bless you my dear for your understanding, indirectly, it's all about individual health and to reduce pollution but an average Nigerians lack all this basic knowledge and say FASH is bringing OYINBO style.

The same way FELA PREACHES but my people just didn't get it until he passed away.

Wake up Ignorant and keep your 4*4 inside your compound.
HealthRe: Fashola Urges Lagosians To Walk Rather Than Drive Whenever Possible by Venchy: 2:53pm On Oct 17, 2012
saxywale: Well the London I know has a superb transportation system for non motorist. Lots of pedestrian walkways, subways/pedestrian bridge, raised kerbs, dropped kerbs, pelican crossing, tucan crossing, zebra, traffic ramps, signalled controlled pedestrian crossing, coloured pathways, cycle lane, advanced cycle lanes, bicycle parks e.t.c Infact you would be glad you left your car at home.

These facilities you would rarely see in Lagos. Even when you do, you have to be very careful. I almost got hit by a keke marwa rider on a zebra crossing close to the governors office. And it's common knowledge that okada riders would knock you down on a pedestrian walk way as well.

Good idea Fashola but we need 21st century pedestrian facilities. LAMATA needs to step up its game, they are outdated and too carried away with brt system of 1974.
You are right as per those facilities are not there to make it easy for people to walk without the fear of been knocked down by all this UNTRAINED DRIVERS and MOTORBIKE RIDERS.

But we can start from somewhere as the use of cars in lagos is a rocking amount and it will be helpful health wise and reduce pollution if we can start to practice this way of life rather than NIGERIANS showing of their false and realistic wealth.

Average NIGERIANS doesn't understand what damages POLLUTION has caused to their health and there's no good medical facilities.....

ORO DI UMM ORO PESIJI OO.

"Akpangbo"huh is that somewhere in Enugu or Imo.....cos I'm sure there is nowhere like that in Lagos. We only have "Apangbo"
You sounds like a lady that I met in London couple of month back, I ask her if she knows ONIKE area and responded NO and I ask again do you know QUEENS COLLEGE and she responded YES....and I laughed quietly. ONIKE is where QUEENS COLLEGE is and it also leads to 2nd gate of UNILAG.

Instantly I realise this are one of mummy's girl that's doesn't know anywhere but VI area that she lives.

My guy, you need to go out more to know what's happening INSIDE WORLD and not OUTSIDE WORLD...AKPONGBON is in LOGOS ISLAND not Imo.....lol

Nice suggestion.....but I can bet my life, some NIGERIANS have no clue, FASHOLA is totally up to date, very much in line with modern day and full of positive thinking.

In London, some MP's and Business men are always cycling or taken public transport to work and people only drive when it's necessary and all about their FUCKING 4*4.

It also means you are looking after your environment and killing one another with carbonmonoxide that's already taken over the country with BLOODY GENERATOR.

FELA is a true LEGEND and he deserve all appraisal.

The truth always prevail and that's the LEGACY he left behind.

I can proudly say I've watched FELA's show in London waterloo Theater and it was SOLD out, same thing in NEW YORK, even after his Death, FELA his still making waves round the world.

Let's wait to see what legacy all our CROOK LEADERS will leave behind, may be a one day an AMERICAN OR A MOVIE producer will make a film about them as CROOK LEADERS or OIL ROGUES.
PoliticsRe: From The Governors, Fashola Is The Only One Fit To Be President. by Venchy: 8:01pm On Oct 13, 2012
Ikengawo: I'm an igbo man, and I'm not against talk of an igbo presidency in the least way.
But I will say, if we must select from governors, the ONLY one fit to be president of the nation is Babatunde Fashola.

I say so because I don't believe he's the only governor that's performing and many can argue that others have out achieved him.
My main reason for saying what i'm saying is that Fashola is a modern thinker. He's the only governor that isn't playing 'catch up' with the rest of the world,

but
also introducing ideas that are ahead of rest of the world's cities.

He's the poster child for dealing with urbanization world wide and every nation acknowledges this. The other 'good' governors are giving their states the things the rest of the
world has as a lower quality most of the time. Fashola is doing this and introducing new ideas, leading the path, and Nigeria will be nothing if it can't lead the world.

recently i saw on Channels TV that they're using recycled plastics to replace sewer covers. This is brilliant, and it's something nobody else has thought of. Using modern techniques and innovation to solve problems.
I respect Amaechi, Oshiomole, Sullivan, Obi, Lamido, Imoke, and Akpabio but i feel Fashola is the only innovator in this group and that's what Nigeria needs more than anything. He doesn't see himself as a 'nigerian governor' competing with nigerian governors, he's a international leader competing with the rest of the human race.

This is the mentality nigeria needs to head in a different direction. Igbos shouldn't be competing with Yoruba and Yoruba shouldn't be competeing with Hausa because we're all failing. Lets start competing with the Japanese, the Germans, the Turks the French and the Americans. Fashola represents a break away from 'village champion' mentality in Nigeria.
True talk.....We need a productive idea from new Generation like FASHOLA and not all the usual PRIMITIVE OLD THIEVES.

Let's put our nation FIRST and not jopadise it with selfish interest.

when my grandparents got married, they were almost poor.
they made it together. their children lacked nothing. and my grandparents have been married for 51 yrs now. I love and respect them so much. and I thank them for all the love they have given our family. that's why I value love more than money. and that's how I know that money can't buy love. I know I sound romatic and all kitschy but I like it grin
My dear true love doesn't need money but as for Most Nigerian Babe, money is everything to them as they'll always want you to buy buy buy and even going out to restaurant you are expected to pay all the time.

What's that all about?....Don't get me wrong there are few ones that doesn't want you for your money and it's VISE VASA some Men are like parasite on their girls.

My course mate at UNILAG told me she likes me but I have no money and all I can Offer her is my DICK ....lol....but that's the level of poverty in our society.
CrimeRe: Two Students To Die By Firing Squad For Robbery by Venchy: 1:36pm On Oct 12, 2012
COOLDUN: People like you are the problems of this country today; you want the court to dump the country's constitution because of you and your armed robbers right? Do you know how many people that have fallen victims to those armed robbers? It is only when a thief is caught in Nigeria he will beg that it was his first day in the act; secondly that it is a handi work of devil. Nigeria has a penalty for armed robbery and whosoever that is caught on the act and proofed beyond reasonable doubt that he/she committed the armed robbery must be punished according by the law. No matter who, and how highly placed he/she might be. If they really committed the crime then they must be killed as the law permits. You better use that your much wealth to educate people more on the danger and consequences of crimes mostly violent ones like, Armed robbery, Kidnapping, Terrorism, Ritualism, Looting of public funds. Doing this will make a very big changes and impact on the Nigeria society , but your comments on this matter shows that you are calling for anarchy in the country. Where there is no law, there will be no peace and tranquility. They must die if they committed the crime simple.
Can I ask one question.....Is there no more prison sentence other than FIRING SQUAD ?

I must stress that this is an outdated law and it shows what fucking RULE OF LAW WE HAVE and how it favours THE BIG FAT CAT that steals Nigerians money.

There's one rule for the rouge politicians and another for ordinary people...or have you forgotten about BANKOLE ,IBB ,ABACHA's family etc, those are the people that deserve firing squad not the hungry ones that have been deprived and no job.
