He didn't need to.

The first is called, Suicide Squad.

The second is, The Suicide Squad.

Yes perfect example...idris save that movie..
He's referring to the first Suicide Squad, which was critically panned but commercially successful.

The Suicide Squad (2021) did exactly the opposite.

Black Mountain Side (2014)

It's difficult to describe the plot without sounding simplistic, but there's a lot more. The production value is excellent, the camerawork and acting are both top-notch,. It's a beautiful mash-up of The Thing, Donnie Darko, hints of The Shining, and perhaps a dash of Dreamcatcher.

It was dark and bleak, and you could feel what was happening to each character. I liked how it was a little hazy at times, but you figure things out as you go. In general, I give it a thumbs up. It's a well-acted and written film.

Guess you are right. But is also an opportunity to coach Messi, Neymar and very likely Mbappe in the same team.
A national team manager's job is, in my opinion, more prestigious than a club manager's job, so that could be a factor.

Interesting point, but Poch has never considered PSG as his first choice, so it's not really Leonardo's fault that he's unsettled at PSG. He had already expressed a desire to leave before the season began.
It doesn't change the fact that Leonardo is destroying PSG. Poch needs all the leverage he can get; after all, people have been leaving the PSG' staff in droves because of Leonardo. A club can't win if the people at the top are jerks to the people below them.

Poch is the right man for a long term project......but why leave a star stud PSG team for disjointed man utdhuh
Because PSG is more of a circus than a football team. He's 14 points ahead of the pack, and the league is all but won.

Should he leaves, PSG should appoint Zidane.
To be honest, I'm not sure why Zidane would want the PSG job. He wants to be a national coach, and that position may become available soon, so why risk delaying that opportunity by going to PSG?

Pochettino just isn’t good enough imo. He can’t handle all the talent and expectations there at PSG. The PL is far more high profile tbf to the fame and fortune spin to this all.

Guess I’m just confused as to why Pochettino has a manager’s dream roster but wants out. undecided
Somehow, I get the impression that Poch is not coming out and clarifying these claims because he wants the rumors to spread so that he can gain some leverage for himself against the likes of Leonardo and other problematic/controversial club personnel.

Mauricio Pochettino is open to becoming Manchester United manager and it is not out of the question they could get the Paris St-Germain boss now.

The Argentine is held in high regard at Old Trafford but there was a feeling it might be difficult to prise him away from PSG mid-season.

United sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Sunday and said they were looking to appoint an interim manager.

But Pochettino's potential availability could change that.

It is not thought United have made an approach yet but the 49-year-old is less than completely happy with the setup at PSG, where his role is essentially that of first-team coach, with all broader club and footballing issues handled by sporting director Leonardo.

Pochettino enjoyed more control during his five years in charge of Tottenham and is known to be keen on a return to the Premier League.

He has never made any secret of the fact he would like to manage in the English game again and while he is living in a hotel in Paris, his family remain in London. That travel element is not thought to be a hugely significant factor though, given it is as easy to get to the capital from Paris as it is from Manchester.

The former Southampton boss has been in charge of PSG for 10 months and this season they are 11 points clear at the top of Ligue 1 after 14 games and a point behind Manchester City in their Champions League group. Indeed, Pochettino will be in Manchester this week for his team's game against the Premier League champions.

Part of his unhappiness in Paris is around the culture of the club. His team includes superstars like Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar but the squad is unbalanced. There is a surplus of left-backs, for example, and there was a feeling they did not need to sign Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma in the summer.

Those recruitment decisions are out of Pochettino's hands since, on transfers, he is essentially an advisor to Leonardo.

After taking charge at Parc des Princes in January, Pochettino endured a difficult first season as he attempted to overcome the long-standing criticism of him - that he has not won major trophies.

He lifted the Trophee des Champions - the French equivalent of the Community Shield - within days of taking over and went on to win the French Cup in May.

But PSG failed to win the Ligue 1 title for only the second time in nine seasons, finishing a point behind Lille, and were knocked out of the Champions League by Manchester City in the semi-finals.

Pochettino is reluctant to force a move mid-season but a switch to Old Trafford could work for both parties, since the Qatari owners of PSG are known to be keen admirers of Zinedine Zidane, the former Real Madrid manager who is out of work.

There are other possibilities for United, though.

They are also known to admire Ajax's Erik Ten Hag but it is believed he would be unwilling to leave the club in mid-season. Leicester's Brendan Rodgers also has his admirers.

If United do go for an interim appointment, their former France defender Laurent Blanc has been mentioned as a potential candidate. He has not had a job in Europe since 2016 and is working in Qatar.

It has also been suggested former United skipper Steve Bruce would be interested in the short-term role following his exit from Newcastle.

I've not read the book but I never found it boring, rather I find it promising. I think people expected a lot more without being realistic enough to know that the book is big and everything can't be lumped together in one movie.

Read them in this order;

*Dune (1965)
*Dune Messiah (1969)
*Children of Dune (1976)
*God Emperor of Dune (1981)
*Heretics of Dune (1984)
*Chapterhouse: Dune (1985),

*Road to Dune (2005) comes last; it's a companion book to the Dune series that fills in some gaps. It's almost like a miniseries in its own right.

I'm nearing the end of the Dune series. When I started, it appeared to be a daunting task, and even though I became bored, I persisted. I'm glad I did because it's been a roller coaster ride since book 3. cheesy

Mention them. undecided
* Shawshank Redemption; a better version of the original short story

* The Mist; a better conclusion

* Forest Gump; far superior to the book

* There Will Be Blood; I enjoyed the book (It's called 'Oil'), but it pales in comparison to the film.

There are more, but these four will suffice for the time being.

All movies that were made from books didn't do justice
This is simply untrue. There have been movies that have improved on their source material. I had the privilege of seeing four of them.
TV/MoviesRe: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by VerifiedStalin: 9:01am On Nov 22, 2021
StPete:
Nope, I disagree with the bolded. Watching a movie before reading a book is like having a preamble before getting the detailed content. All movies that were made from books didn't do justice and many who read the books and watched the movies, complained about how terrible and less detailed the movies were.

Those who watched Angels and Demons without reading the book enjoyed the movie whilst those who had read the book before watching the movie were disappointed.
Some films are loosely adapted in the sense that they tell a different story despite the fact that the theme is largely unchanged. It would be a mistake to watch such a film before reading the novel because a lot will be lost in translation. You'd have no idea what's going on. Therefore, it's always a good idea to read the novel first to familiarize yourself with all of the facts, before venturing into the film.
TV/MoviesRe: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by VerifiedStalin: 8:33am On Nov 22, 2021
StPete:
Unfortunately books come out first before the movies, cos it'll be better to watch the movies first before reading the book. This is because most times, the movies don't measure up with the book.

Also, watching the movies first will help give you a clearer pictorial reality while reading the book.
Novels serve as inspiration for film scripts. Where would a film's content come from if it was released before a novel? We've all seen what happened with Game of Thrones' final season, where the content outpaced the source material; the writers couldn't draw from the source material because it didn't exist at the time, so they ended up making a mess of everything.

Furthermore, it wouldn't feel right to watch a movie before reading the novel it's based on because novels, by design, have much more depth, content, and layers. Watching a film before reading the book is akin to putting the cart before the horse.

Count of Monte Cristo - 8.5/10

An eternal classic
It's a good film in its own right, but I think it falls short of the source material. Some of the motivations and relationships in the film, for instance, were altered. If you're a die-hard fan of the book, the changes might irritate you. I wish it had stayed closer to the book; I thought it had a lot more depth and the revenge was more satisfying.

sex scenes adds nothing to realism when in reality sex is supposed to be a private affair. Filmmakers only add it to excite audience.
Filmmakers frequently use sex scenes to depict intimacy. A romantic theme devoid of sex scenes is like a car devoid of tyres; it is incomplete.

Chibudollar:
If we truly deep it I swear sex scenes aren't that needed in movies or series, they literally make no change to the story, these days it is like all the new series and movies all comes with excess sex, you can't even put on a series to watch with the family, the Koreans are still holding it down but with Netflix entering that market watch them turn to Johnny sins in a few years
If the theme is love, a sex scene can be essential to the plot. It adds to the realism.

Ethan Hawke has had one of the most underappreciated runs of good films of any actor in recent memory. It's amazing to see how talented this man is. He's completely devoted to his craft. To put it in another way, if he's in a movie, there's a good chance it's a good movie.

Maybe I'll need to check the meaning of softcore again.

Though I do know that the genitalia_ being featured are mostly prosthetics.
Correct. This is where simulation comes in. The films are explicit to the point where they go beyond softcore but not hardcore to be classified as porn, based on the simulated sex acts.

Tinto Brass. He made a name for himself as a director of raunchy films. His films are mainstream in that they are erotic films rather than pornographic films. Simulated sex scenes are a staple of his films.

Finch (2021)

This one has me conflicted. Hanks is an excellent actor, so he was able to carry the role. The plot, on the other hand, was illogical. How could he have missed the existence of habitable areas? Why haven't there been any people in San Francisco since it became habitable? Anywho, It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either.
