anonymous1759: How foolish And Dumb you sound. So the Nigerian highways needs to be 💯 safe before the government can start building new infrastructures?
Can you put a time frame on security? You guys are very very foolish and myopic thinking you sound intelligent like you master Yo-yo bitters . You can’t say I’ll end insecurity in one year or two years or three years. Security is a going concern, and you can’t put everything on hold because you’re fighting insecurity.
Eg, Ukraine & Russia war , Ukraine should put all her economic activities on hold just because they want to protect their land from Russia ? . a country at war is still doing everything economically to stay viable , talk less of Nigeria.
because security is the most important thing, economic projects or any other thing will be put on hold from your POV?
Just like insinuating that, fuel price is high , the economy is tough , inflation here and there etc. All these things you made mention of are going concern , you don’t put everything on hold just to tackle, security, inflation or any other thing.
This coastal high way will open 700k km corridors to business, which is an economic benefits, goods and services from SS-SW will be cheaper by 50% or less because the travel time has reduced. Is that not an economic benefit? Families from South /South will be able to connect with their families at low cost , or they don’t serve it too?
Pressure on the existing federal roads which makes it deteriorate on time will reduce , now roads will last longer is also an economic benefit.
Anyone who has ever faced traffic on 1st Niger bridge will never criticize the government for building the 2nd Niger bridge. The whole country kept quiet when that project was on and didn’t call it misplaced priority even when Nigeria was the number capital of poverty in the world.
only bigotry & hatred will make a sane person criticize this project. The only thing I’ll say is that the project might be bloated which is prevalent to Nigeria settings starting from inception. but with time as corruption reduces project can actually go for the price but criticizing the economic benefits it’s a NO-NO. Sir, am sorry to say this, but you sound pathetic, useless and stupid. |

Isn't it the one your president wants to steal people's pension money for or what? Before, You defend nonsense, why will heleven bring the issue of touching people's pension, a government that does not know that dangote imports crude from the US, won't it be same episode when they loot it all and abandon the project? Why am I even talking to people who are ultra lazy and have never suffered to work in their lives, feeling too entitled to other people's sweat, that is what is fuelling the owomida mentality, it has transitioned to our national pulse, you guys now want to down it out of greed. muhammaduyusufu: He would buy crude oil where it's cheapest as via his energy traders as Nigeria's crude is not particularly cheap, especially that it's sweet, and it's better refined for high octane premium gasoline.
It happens all over the world, Canada (an oil producing country buys crude from the US. US also buys crude from Canada and Saudi Arabia. UK buys crude from Libya even though it has crude in the North Sea e.t.c)
The refined crude would be what will flood the Nigerian market since cost of transportation will be eliminated, and Nigeria would have an edge as it's at its doorstep.
This will retain in the country forex used in importing refined crude. However, that minister needs to be sacked for extreme ignorance. Are you through? |

But let me use this opportunity to address religious bigots. Islam is causing chaos with enthronement and dethronement of Emirs in Kano. But Islam is peaceful in UAE. The Christianity causing problems in Nigeria is peaceful in western countries. Can you now understand that humans are the problem? Stop blaming religion. Religion does not abuse itself. Humans are the ones abusing religion. If what is happening in Kano now is about Bishops or pastors, the bigots will condemn Christianity and say that Christianity is a white man's weapon to destroy Africa.
Those quoting and telling me that Emir is not about Islam do not know that Emir is an Arabic word. Ask yourself how Arabic language gets to the northern Nigeria. Or, is there a Christian Emir? We use what is written in their holy books to judge, what the progenitor of the religion did when he was alive, one was busy raping women up and down, where one was preaching of love, so you see you are trying to defend islam subtly but failed. |

He performed quite well as CBN governor until Jonathan sacked him for revealing the missing $20 Billion- this is one of the reasons I feel like Jonathan was also a villain dressed in a hero's cloth. Sometimes, ignore the urge to embed lies and propaganda in anything you need to do, so you meant he was sacked just because of the reason you gave?
