BEEJAY452:1.......No agency sponsors you for such in canada. Depending on your status(PR or citizen) you may be able to get loans. 2........I have no idea about the cost (research it yourself) 3........No, you MUST PASS IELTS to meet the english proficiency requirements. 4......yes you cam be a PR without starting or finishing the licensing process as an RN in Canada. Visit the thread below and read from page 1 to know how. https://www.nairaland.com/5187408/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/444 |
amaya21:There is your reference number on the online version. Just scroll down to the end of the page. |
kweenoma001:Yes. However only use wes if you have a BSN |
Rence22:Amen ooo |
KaceeDcontrol:Hmmm...na wa because the date isnt on the site and aug 1st is there. |
Has anyone been able to check 27th july ielts idp result? |
BEEJAY452:https://www.cicnews.com/2019/07/new-brunswick-nursing-strategy-prescribes-immigrant-rns-for-growing-labour-shortage-0712572.html#gs.u1izcz |
hammed71:6mths officially and unofficially would depend on who is helping you. |
BEEJAY452:1.....Bsn from naija are mostly somewhat comparable to lpn and not comparable to Rn but that assessment is somewhat irrelevant because even when Nnas says not comparable, you can still apply to the BON as they have the final say. 2.....you find a school that conducts the program and register. There is often a wait list that could be 12mths long. 3....it considered because I did the programs separately. That is school of nursing for 3 years and school of midwifery for 18mths hence I had 2 different academic transcript. |
BEEJAY452:1.......Nnas would give a report of "not equivalent" or "somewhat equivalent". 2........Depends on your result from the assessment test of your skills, you may be referred to do at least a 1 year to 4years top up program. 3........for immigration, you can claim it as just a bachelors degree (1cert). |
Olenyhc:Then I may be wrong but I dont know if you can assess that as a separate certificate. Mine was obtained in school of midwifery hence i had a transcript from a different school for my midwifery. I know a lady who was trying to evaluate her public health certification (which is awarded as part of the BSN ) to give 2 certificates with iqas but it didnt work. They responded that they needed a transcript and separate certificate for that degree. So if you want to try it then by all means do it. At the worst future candidates would be able to rule that out. Midwifery is a 4 year university degree program here in canada. Pls keep us updated on the outcome of this evaluation. Thank you! All the best |
Olenyhc:Yes you can combine it. I would advise you to start iqas for your RM because WES would be a waste of time and money. You can check through my profile and you would see a sample of how wes assesses RM and RN from school of nursing. |
Olenyhc:I dont know how it's done online. You can wait for another user's response. I always did mine through a proxy in nmcn. |
Olenyhc:Did you attend school of midwifery? |
Olenyhc:Have you applied to nmcn to send wes the verification? Because if you are waiting for them to receive mail and do it on their own then you are in for a surprise because you would have to pay the nmcn verification fee before they attend to Wes request. Also you would need to renew your license before nmcn answers your request for verification. |
Olenyhc:I doubt wes would recognize your RM. You may just have to initiate the process of evaluating just the RM with iqas. Wes always says it's not equivalent. |
cheliejelie:Stop planning and just go and buy the ticket. While you are at it, please tear your American passport or renounce the citizenship. You think say na the naija you watch for film abi . Aunty pls go back to naija and dont go with usd oooo....find a job like a regular person. |
cheliejelie:Canada doesnt have an immigration crisis. We have a refugee problem. I want you to understand that immigration pathways differs and only people who claim Asylum that are subjected to the detention centers in USA NOT NURSES. |
Anyways I pray all those trying to Migrate from one place to another finds favour in all our applications. Before I left naija, I vowed to myself that I wont be one of those "aunty wey mumu" that you would ask how she migrated and she would tell you ....."it was just prayer and grace of God, I dint even know what happened".....mtchewwwww. I told myself that I may not have cash to distribute but along my journey I found out that knowledge is power and indeed many Nigerians perish for lack of knowledge. I also said I wont be one of those people telling you that abroad na just suffer. Yes you would work hard and frankly you would be payed as hard as you work. What you safe from that depends on your responsibilities back home and your life style. All those aunties and uncles shouting that USA or Canada or even the UK is hard, have you ever seen them return back home to save their self the so called hardship? People that return back to Nigeria either have "surname", have made it big and want to invest in a business or the country dey pursue them. So my people dont be discouraged. Speaking for Canada, it's better to work here as a health care aide or even janitor than to be in that catholic hospital or federal hospital self in naija. That's as far as income is concerned. |
cheliejelie:Because I am ME. Listen, if you are good then you are good. They may not like you and frankly who cares but they would send for you because you are the best at what you do. Does racism exist yes. But would it stop me from doing me, NO. |
cheliejelie:Okay am glad you are in America. FYI am not "struggling" to come to the states. As a Canadian permanent resident, I can go in and out of the states on a daily basis if I so please. I dont know the route you came in through but if it wasnt legal then it's those categories of people that should have the fear of trump. Not struggling abroad is a function of so many things including how you spend your money. If most people you know are poor then please change your friends because na you pick them .Also I don't like hypocrites. you say you are not in Nigeria and you are asking others not to leave. AUNTY HAVE YOU BOUGHT YOUR RETURN TICKET ? You can only have a moral ground to make this argument AFTER you relocate back to Nigeria. If we decide to pray it for you now I know you would most likely say "back to sender or God forbid". ![]() |
cheliejelie:I am very aware of this denaturalization task force and law. What you are failing to understand is that there is NOTHING ILLEGAL nor Fraudulent about our applications. Permanent residence is a privilege and not a right in every country(not just the states). You can only become a citizen after being a permanent resident for a set number of years(depending on the country). Immigration fraud is anything you lie about or state to mislead a Visa officer during your immigration process. Thus is a person os found to be guilty of said fraud irrespective of the person's current immigration status( ie Permanent resident or citizen), that status which was gotten under fraud can be withdrawn. This means if they catch the lie you told in your application during the application, you can get a ban. If it is caught after your application then you can get the statis taken away and you would face deportation. That's what trump's task force is all about(finding out the lies) Thus in immigration matters, HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY. So my dear "knowah" that is highly educated, that's not what immigrating as nurse is all about. |
cheliejelie:FYI......am here to give back as much as I can to like minded folks. Secondly, only small minded people and those who lack facts results to name calling on social media. ![]() Am sorry to disappoint you but we may never cross path for me to nurse you. But I would be happy to do it because as nurses, we know your type. ![]() |
cheliejelie:Sorry I didn't answer your second question. YES YES YES I would rather struggle in another man's land than in Nigeria as a Registered Nurse. My reason is very personal and it is simply because it was because of the USA I was motivated enough to finish my Nursing school in Nigeria. That Nigerian struggle was paying a friend of mine 1.2m per year as a teaching hospital staff. Right now, the struggle in "another man's land" pays her 33m per year. So please oga or aunty is it your struggle .....biko struggle your own and lemme struggle mine.... Lahòr! Ejòr! Thank you! Gràcias! Mèrcì ! Esheuñ! Uruèse! |
cheliejelie:I dont know if you are a Registered Nurse but if you are then you are highly misinformed and it's a shame. If you arent, then please take your time to inform yourself. RNs ARE NOT ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. As a matter of fact, the USA, CANADA, UK and all western countries NEEDS OUR SERVICES. Your statement is so funny and full of ignorance. FYI......Registered Nurses migrate to the usa with their GREEN CARD APPROVED BEFORE LEAVING THEIR COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE. So we can walk straight from the airport to the White House and Nothing would happen. |
cheliejelie:Am sorry but your argument isnt fact based. NO ONE HATES ME AND I LIVE IN CANADA. I have lived in canada for over 2yrs now. Short story: I was on my way to work on a faithful day. It was a bloody cold day, with a temperature of -38 degree celcius. (To put that temperature into perspective for you, your deep freezer is -25 at it's best). So on this day, I was trying to get to work early because the Nigerian in me made me late . So I took a short cut to work. There was a wind storm and I couldnt see where I was driving to( it was like someone took white powder in a tray and put on the industrial fan). Long story short, i skidded off the road into a pile of snow by the shoulders of the road. A white family whom i have never met stopped their truck, and came out to help me. 1 woman in her 60s, 2 guys in like 30s or late 20s and a lady in maybe her 40s. Anyways these total strangers came out in that biting cold to help me. We got the car out of the ditch even before my colleagues arrived. They didnt ask me to find them "small thing". ![]() If you wanna stay in Nigeria pls do. Nigeria would always have my love but not my residence . At least not at this stage of my life. |
cheliejelie:Everyone comes to the decision of immigrating at their own time. I just hope you dont change your mind when you are like 50yrs old. It's a good thing that Nigeria's population can handle my absence . They wont miss me, my family and my friends(both online colleagues too). So team naija fixers .....the country is all yours |
piro007:STANDARD IELTS. |
piro007:I think you are good to go for immigration (above 4 in listening and speaking). Apply for the normal ielts and aim for the needed scores. |
piro007:If you meet the immigration cut off mark then you can take regular ielts for your CBT. |
Compu001:It depends on what the requirements are but let's say it's a requirement that she must be working in a 100bed ward, that requirement would likely not change. Yes you can do it alone. Also, employers are more vested after you have passed your NCLEX-RN. |
dorabel94:Am guessing it was premium processing? |
