YAR A' DULL  for merit?  I think this is good for Nigeria. But if he decide we should do things by merit which I welcome and applaud, then he should now step down immediately as the President of Nigeria. He was not in that office by merit, he knows it.

This guy called YAR A'NONSENSE cannot cease to amaze me.  As of today, Nigeria is build on concept of 'federal character' and I may add this was done in the interest primarily of the North(limited education) so that their interest and other minorities can be protected.

On the face of it, there is nothing to suggest that LAMIDO SANUSI is not the most qualified and competent for the office of Governor of the CBN but on the basis of federal character, the position should not go to him. I have argue this point before on this forum, all the finance and National planning guy's will come from KANO and KATSINA state ,the same geo political zone and that is against the constitution.

The constitution even comes before merit, and the NORTH has benefited from this mediocare constitutional provision for a very long time, and for 
YAR A'DO NOTHING  to now trying to argue MERIT for his guys from KANO and KASTINA state is not only nepotism, but hypocrisy, opportunism and most importantly it is in breach of the constitution.

My hypothetical question is , if those 3 people are from SW or SE will he have allowed those appointment by citing merit? You and I know the answer to that  one, a resounding NO NO NO.

The wind has blown, and we have seen the ass of the fowl. This guy called  YAR A'CLUELESSS is a mini-maradona. I am sorry that merit has to be sacrificed on this occassion for what the constitution says. FINANCE is the hub of any nation, If Yar A'dull want he can find 3 people from SW or SE and put them in FINANCE and let us see if his guys in the NORTH will not declare a JIHAD.

THE Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has denounced its deputy national chairman, Dr. Bello Haliru Mohammed, over the statement that the Embassy of the United States of America in Nigeria was collaborating with the opposition to undermine the democratic structure in the country.

Mohammed, last week, issued a statement to the effect that some people within the opposition had a meeting in Kaduna State and drew up an agenda to meet with the President of the U.S., Barack Obama, in Ghana during his visit to the country and canvass economic blockade of Nigeria, among other sanctions, so that the nascent democracy would be stifled.

But the national chairman of the PDP, Prince Vincent Ogbulafor, yesterday dissociated the party from the statement issued by Mohammed.

Ogbulafor's statement, signed by the national publicity secretary of the party, Prof. Rufai Ahmed Alkali, read in full:

"The attention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been drawn to a widely circulated statement issued by Dr. Bello Haliru Mohammed, Deputy National Chairman of the Party in which he is said to have accused the United States government, particularly the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria, of colluding with opposition elements to destabilise the government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

"The Peoples Democratic Party hereby dissociates itself from the views expressed by Dr. Bello Mohammed, which have never been discussed at any level or organ of the Party. The statement at best represents his personal opinion.

"Giving the enormity of the issues raised and the likely effect they may have on the relationship between the U.S. government and Nigeria, the Party will investigate the matter and come up with a position in due course.

"There may be plans by some politicians to take advantage of President Obama's visit to Ghana in July to meet with him for whatever reasons.

"However, in view of the cordial relations between the government of Nigeria and the United States, we expect no meaningful impact from such a meeting even if it ever takes place.

"It is our fervent belief that the long-standing relations between the U.S. and Nigeria will not be sacrificed to suit the whims of a few disgruntled politicians, who are desperately seeking relevance."

I am sure that they are just trying to retract the statement back diplomatically, but if you read closely at those 3 paragraphs that I have highlighted, it is not just the National Vice Chairman of he ruling party that is talking of his opinion, even the chairman echoes the same view in those 3 paragraphs in another way.

Anyone that speaks with OBAMA from Nigeria outside of the government is a rebel who want to destablise an already destablised and poverty stricken nation caused mainly by the PDP in the last 10 years.

I am afraid I will have to agree to some extent with the SENATOR on this. Look guys, these are three important related area, National planning, Finance and CBN, all the people from KANO STATE.

YAR A'CLUELESS became President of this country not on merit but on Federal character, so that should continue to include all the minister.

On the issue of do nothing minister, you can't really blame him, YAR A'DULL is the head of  A DO NOTHING government, of POVERTY DEVELOPMENT PARTY.

When the leader leads a DO NOTHING PARTY, then the followers or ministers cannot be blame for not doing anything as he is just following orders. Somebody from south south. south west or other Northern minorities will do well.


Those appointments are deliberate, these KASTINA , KADUNA  and KANO MAFIAS are converging with their own CABALS, so YAR A'VISIONLESS should not come out next week and said that some CABALS  are stopping the flow of money or smoking our foreign reserves because he made them in the first place.

YES we like merit, but when it concern a southerner, the North will talk of merit and federal character interchangably to fit into their own viewpoint.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian High Commission has and is currently making a big fuss out of this. They've written to the University threatening to shut down their offices in Nigeria. The University has now withdrawn from sponsoring the programme, but it's still taking place in their auditorium nonetheless. That's how bad it gets at times.


Part of rebranding and repackaging is to be transparent, what has YAR A'DO NOTHING has to hide if people( concerned citizens of Nigeria) are debating the state of NIgeria as it is now and the future.

75% of what you said about OBJ in your reply to the post is spot on.

ATIKU( a former custom officer who is only second to non in corruption- that can't be good for Nigeria and Nigerians.) To show you that ATIKU is only interested in power , he went to AC, a former VP of a different party, NO PRINCIPLE just power grab.


2. Secondly, ABACHA should not be given any credit whatsoever for anything because if anything good ever happen under him, it is either by accident or simply using the bloods of Nigerians to do it.

We  got both SHAGARI and YAR A'DO NOTHING  because OBJ spent 8 years NOT thinking about the future of Nigeria. You need to dream and have vision, and stop this SOUTH -NORTH politics. If he OBJ has mentored silently a dozen Nigerians of all tribes(like our Lord Jesus Christ did) he would be left with at least 4 good ones, of course there would be Judas Iscariot among  them, Thomas the doubter etc, eventually a good disciple will come out .

Provide good governace, then you have a product which you can offer to the world and can be rebranded and repackage.

And because of poverty the people are unable to fight back the way they should do it. In some cases it is simply cowardice.

Unfortunately we do not have the Armed forces and sets of people with a clear vision that would get rid of the 'enemies of progress' in Nigeria. GHANA  has RAWLINGS and CO. Today Ghana is enjoying the benefits of that REVOLUTION.


UNTIL WE HAVE A VIOLENT REVOLUTION OF SOME KIND to send message to everybody that you will not get away with abusing Nigeria and Nigerians then it will be business as usual.

I am not sure how you come about your view above. My thinking is that even when the people are terrible, then the leadership as in government should lead them right. That is why they are the 'LEADERS' . The best example will be a father to his children, the children don't usually become terrible if the father has lead them right.

He, President Yar A'Dull lied again about  7 NO POINT AGENDA, he is now blaming World economic recession for his NON STARTER AGENDA. He has not done anything even before the world economic problem. HE IS VISIONLESS. ALL IS DIVERSION FOR 2011 ELECTION.

Now with all that  poverty  & deception party (PDP) of Yar A'dull and OBJ, how can you persuade ordinary folks to just  change, rebrand and follow you and change their ways when the leadership are lieing and living in denial.

I hear Dora Akinyuli on Tv this eveing trying to promote the Green Eagles and using that opportunity to do her soundbite on rebranding and repackaging.

If you want to rebrand, you start to tell the people some truth , and stop corruption with our leaders in government including I dare say our President.

I think Nigerians should read that letter because that amount to 'small print' of forget all those 6000MW in December 2009 and another 4000MW in 2011.

Once a liar, always a liar. This guy lied in April 2007 that he will declare emergency within 100days of assuming power to sort out electricity. nearly 700 days later he is still promising declaration of emergency on power.

Some people can lie bold face worse than 2 face. They are like 10 faces. what exactly are we to believe, when all Yar a'failure does is reversal reversal. sometimes you may not like the policy of your predecessor but reversing it may not make economic or even financial sense, yet complete such project under protest even find way to reduce costs.

An illiterate does not know or understand sanctity of contract. This man keep talking about rule of law when he kick out Ribadu by lieing that he was being sent to some dodgy school in KURU. I knew then, so are many Nigerians that he is simply fooling himself.


I am convinced beyong any shadow of doubt that Yar A'dull is a reincarnation of Sheu Shagari of 1979 who just want to be President for 8 years  and that is it. Come end of his term, he will simply give more talk about how difficult is to govern Nigeria, and that he did his best, and that when he comes to this world next time he will make Nigeria a paradise on earth.

The man Yar A'nothing standard is so low that all he can do is to read his usual 7 NO POINT AGENDA and  VISIONLESS 2020  soundbite. Infact i bet that he does not know what exactly it is all about since they wrote the piece for him.

What has he ever implement other than 100% +  increase in President,ministers and parliamentarian salaries.

What did he do when the government was having Crude oil at nearly $150  per barrel? In any event, Mr. Yar A'dull and daft. Nigerians are not stupid as your govt want us to believe.

The budgeting system is done on averaging income system- what this means is that for example because of the fluctuation in the price of crude oil, the price used for the budget was $53 when crude oil went nearly $150 last year, now at some point this year it dipped to about $30 but now it is about $58. even if we take 3 figures, $120 (as the highest) $50 (as medium) and $30 as lowest, the average  will still be $67 which is  about $14 more than the budget has in mind.

So using price of crude oil as excuse for not doing what is on the budget is another example of this DO NOTHING GOVERNMENT HEADED BY A DO NOTHING PRESIDENT.

With respect to Mr. yar Aliar. the whole world was able to see  his physical state (health wise)during his 1st press conference in nearly 2 years of his admninistration. I am certainly sure he didn't want to do it but he was forced by OBAMA who has given 3 press briefing in 100 days because he OBAMA was elected and the electorate want to know what he was doing. OBAMA reads at least 10 letters per day and personally reply to the public on it.  Yar A'nothing has not read 1 letter in 2 years or reply to anybody even when people have written.

I am just sad for Nigeria and Nigerians for incompetent leader who don't know what to do that PDP and OBJ has imposed on Nigerians

Although we must give credit to those who deserve it. Fashola has done well as of present based on what people are saying compare to other Governors.and we should encourage him to do more while thanking him.

We must also give credit to  TINUBU for mentoring or allowing FASHOLA  to be mentored for 8 years to 'take over'.    'Your success is measured by your successor

DUKE may have failed this test.

Duke may have done well but for the fact that he has not produced one or two good mentee that 'takes over' from him shows he has not left an enduring legacy.

AWO of blessed memory have at least half a dozen or a dozen or so mentees when he was alive and for very many years after he passed away, some good ones remain and still remains to carry out his vision of free education etc to Nigeria.


The only Dreams and VISION  in this country is Money  sharing both in Abuja, all state capital  including Local Government chairmen/chairwomen and 7 NO POINTS AGENDA.

YAR A'FAILURE, like most President before him is VISIONLESS. SO VISIONLESS 2020 is a continuation of that. Primary school children can even see. If he does have a vision, he does not know what to do or how to go about it.

There has been a near similar decision in Anambra or so. Although the Governor elected on that occassion is another person, and the court takes a view that the new governor should start his own 4  years.

Now, if justices is to be seen to be fair, there should be uniformity.

If an elected person is challenged during the course while in office, and he/she succeeded in winning again, then he/she should complete his/her remaining years as if he/she has been in that office from the begining.

If the challenger wins, he/she should complete whatever is remaining in the other persons time(and that will amount to per of his/her terms), otherwise an elected person might set up a 'front' to challenge his/her election a day before the end of the term and get tenure enolgation through the back door.


If the court will be minded to say the new person does 4 years, then the sitting elecetd person should start 4 years afresh.


The supreme court has to set a standard here which will discourage 'touts' to start petition and rerun election in the middle of the term which will make governance a serious problem.

Another issue where election and challenge should be conducted before taking oath of office, and if anything happens after oath of office, all the hearings must not be more than 6 months.

LEADERSHIP is needed to look at Nigeria from a very holistic way and set out a vision of modern Nigeria for the benefits of everyone both the majority and minority.

Please advised that majority of all these Mps have offered to pay every penny taken back to the coffers. if you are trying to justify corruption in Nigeria . I am happy to inform that you are wrong. These mPs all acted within the expenses law. It is the law that needs to be changed. All President Yar'nothing, Yar A'failure is doing is

DIVERSION 2011.   

They started with Rebranding and repackaging, now it is states creation.

This is what I called VISIONLESS 2020.

What did this government do in 2 years in office- reversal reversal reversal. They even have the audacity to lie and send RIBADU to some dubious school in KURU, and get rid of him as we knew they are going to do.

Do anybody continue to see AOODAONKA AND IBORI handwriting everywhere in this governement.

What are the achievements of the present states before you create more. Goverment has no business in business. The only major employment player in Nigeria is the government.

What Nigerians need is an enviroment to create business that will create more jobs, not governemnt jobs.

You don't go to school simply to go work in some local goverment or State or even federal government on some inadequate salary to be supplemented by bribes and fraud.

It is time will stand up and say NO to this DIVERSION governemnt, a government of DO NOTHING and SERVANT NO LEADERSHIP.

Depending on where you stand.

If you are Govt of Nigeria sitting in abuja and getting all the oil money, it is a blessing.

If you are doing bunkering succesfully, if you are marketer, if you are those that put 'oyel' money in your pocket  IT IS A BLESSING.

TO NIGERIA as whole, it suppossed to be a blessing but

For the common and man on  the street, it is quiet possible to be a curse, as they are not seeing the benefits of oil money.

This is one of OBJ success story. without OBJ appointing SOLUDO, there can be no SOLUDO.  OBJ want reform and banking consolidation to give our financial system credibility. he got SOLUDO and give him free hand, the rest is history.

we must appreciate the good things people do, including their appointment of good people to do things in this country. kudos to OBJ on SOLUDO and to SOLUDO forr doing his best. there are some silly mistakes(or deliberate for chop chop)- reprinting of naira's and trying to 'revalue' naira by removing the zeros.

ONE major failure of OBJ is  YAR A'NOTHING,  YAR A'FAILURE. a man who only read out 7 point agenda for 2 years out of 4 years term and has done nothing just waiting for re-election. VISIONLESS 2020, DIVERSION 2011. DOWN REBRANDING

I noticed that we are all missing serious points here.

1.ON CBN


The enviroment was right when SOLUDO was appointed. OBJ choose him, and give him free hand like he did RIBADU, EL -RUFAI and other succesful ministers and technocract. If OBJ has not given SOLUDO free hand or allow the banking consolidation, and allows SOLUDO to do things without going to ASO ROCK, then there can be no succeful SOLUDO or indeed any other IGBO ministers or technocract.

2. ON RULING NIGERIA.

There are several problems with it.

1. there is the Biafran question

2.Igbo 'compromise' leader


In any event rulership/leadership of Nigeria by any tribe is not the problem, the problem is the system. Even if you put an Igbo  person as the President, he/she would do exactly as what the current people are doing(if not worse) because the system is set up to fail. There is no visionary leader that has come out of the establishment that can take them on and the armed forces on like OBAMA did in America.

So, the issue is not IGBO, YORUBA  or HAUSA leader but the one that will fight for the common man. I dare say that an IGBO leader is more likely to fight for the people in his local govt area- like the Luxurious transporters from NNEWI which is now a cartel among the NNEWI people. The IGBO's with greatest of respect are more clanish in terms of local people as oppossed to favouring the entire IGBO race unlike the YORUBA's and HAUSA which can look into either the entire race or religion as a rallying point.

Now, can anyone or anybody tells us what is the difference in ideology or policies between even the major parties in nigeria. nada, zero. all are interested in sharing monies in ABUJA

You see PDP are complete FRAUD and 419. This is the reason I said Rebranding and repackaging by Madam Nafdac will not work.

Let me take you back to some of electricity history in brief.  Just around the time of election in 2007, PDP with OBJ and YAR A'LIAR said that there will be electricity in May 2007, and this President also said that he will declare emergency within 100days of being in office.

As of this week, the emergency will be 730days( 2 years) and no more 100days. where is the creibility. also there was no solution to power in May 2007.

Now, the current promises is dubious as well. 6,000MW by December 2009, in 8 months, then another 4,000MW to make it 10,000MW by 2011 (no date - as in MONTH)


Do anyone see the catch, PDP will have conduct another Presidential election in April 2011 and YAR A'NO Action will have been re-elected  and business will continue as usual. If they mean business of 10,000MW( which is not enough but at leats is better than 6000), they should complete that in December 2010, then we will see whether they are worth another term making it 4 terms in a row.

The other problem is non extistence of  of oppositon  ACTIONLESS CONGRESS AND ASSOCIATION OF NATIONAL PITIFUL PARTY. Until the opposition can start being proper opposition and stand for something other than everything. Infact they  AC and ANPP are propably worse than PDP as things stannd now. THEY ARE ALLL CHOP CHOP PARTY.

Mr. President show action and stop talking VISIONLESS 2020  and  NO 7 POINT AGENDA.
