I noticed that Nigerians have this 'preference' for some people, and forgeting that we are all humans, and in any events every politicians whether in Nigeria or elsewhere have political paymaster as in godfather, so they are more likely than not tainted but people who came from where governor OBI come from, or his towns men, clans men , from same local authority will vouch for him and will be in self denial.

Imagine when YAR A'LIAR first came to office, he said he is rule of law, due process, but show me your friend and I will tell you whom you are, IBORI,AOODAONNKA is YAR A'CLUELESS friends, he is then the chairman of 419 plc. period.

All the transactions in the N255million saga has been admitted by Peter OBI through him directly and through his commissioner for Infromation, and all those his 'friends' on the forum are saying it is hearsay and it is the enemy and his political opponents.

One big question, what is the Governor aides doing with N255milion on a sunday in Lagos with goverment vehicles, and OBi is the Governor of Anambra state. The law says that no transaction above N500,000 naira must be transacted in cash by state government. Even if he has any explanation for the N255Million, his position is untenable because as a chief officer of the state he himself does not obey the law and cannot expect anyone to obey the law as a result of his actions

I know that we all should have a laugh from time to time, but remembering the words of Fela Anikulapo Kuti, suffering and smillling.

The Nigerian government and politicians in particular are memebrs of the Institute of Chattered certified comedians and crazy Association. (ICCCCA).

Some of the defence and explnantion he gave was at best dishonest, self denial and most importantly comical, as if to say people are not suffering.

Your man PETER OBI at about the exact time during federal allocation each month takes exactly about N250 million naira 'security votes' money send it away in a convoy to lagos for exchange to dollars, and the rest is history as to what happens to the money.

1. The last time he did it, his aides claimed it was governor money looking for bureau de exchange to convert N255million naira to dollars. after they were arrested.

2. The governor admitted he gave them the money, which he intends to pay cash for a contractor, the question is , is the contractor in Nigeria( as in Lagos) or abroad.

A liar need more lies to cover his tracks.

He even went further via his Commissioner for Information to claim that those government vehicles taking monies to Anambra state 'contractor' are in Lagos for servicing, as it appears that there are no mechanics in Anambra and surrounding states.

I am sure N255 Million naira can set up a good industry to empoy at least 100 people and with indirect job creation or suppport of another 100-500 each month.

A THIEF IS THIEF, NO AMOUNT OF WORK HE DOES.

Now, how much does the contractor get in profits assuming he/she has to do the contract, or is it a case of just taking the money and no contract.

At think the standard of thieving has so advanced that even 'money laundering' or stealing from the public purse of N255 million from a state account is now 'seen' as no big deal.

I noticed that your comment is just hilarious because we have all become comedians in order to have sanity.

People will bark when you steal billions but they never realised that people who steal billions start from a quarter like N255 million, and on another day, they will just multiply it by 4 and voila it will become a billion Naira, and the states, country is in dire need of infrastructures.

It was on the AIT  focus nigeria  some days ago about the Governor of Anambra Peter obi, who gave his aides N255 million in cash with goverment vehicles and security to carry.

when the aides were arrested, they said that oga governor owns the money and asked them to go and change it into dollars.

when the police speak with peter obi, he acknowledge ownership, and he came to lagos and said that it was a contractor monies that needed to be paid in cash ( i am not sure whether the police asked him, is it a contractor in Nigeria- who has no bank account, or an overseas contractor who needed the money to be exchanged and courier to him .

A Governor of a state who does not know about  MONEY LAUNDERING  being a criminal offence both in this country and overseas, most of his mates are arrested abroad, and the money confiscated , and facing criminal charges for the same thing, That money is equivalent to £1 million pounds, in one go.

This man PETER OBI will be THIEF if the allegation is true, AND A THIEF  has no other name.

What is N255 million doing in LAGOS, he is the governor of Anambra state, when does he becomes a courier for a contractor , even if the contractor needs the money in cash, can they not give the contractor cheque to be cleared in Anambra, or immediate bank transfer,.

what does a contractor need  N255 million cash for in one day? is it to take it away from record, at minimum Peter Obi should be impeached  and prosecuted for Embezellment if the allegation are true, fraud, money laundering, and even if his story about contractor is true, he will still be guilty of accessory, conspiracy to defraud Anambra state.

People like u turn good people into corrupt beings. Don't allow this topic exceed NL. A man has spent two years in office and agreed he is doing a good job, but won't u guys let him concentrate on this good job rather than inject him with the idea of running for President. After conceiving this idea sold to him, if he stops at this juncture and starts hurding Lagos State money to actualize that dream, people like you will say humans change.

From a practical point of view and in a good country Fashola should be encourage to not only complete his 4 years but try re-election, and we will be able to assess him overall.

However, the irony of why people are clamouring for FASHOLA or indeed any other governor(performing off course) is because of that man called
YAR A'CLUELESS or if you prefer YAR A'DO NOTHING has not demonstrate any ability for the office of the President.

If you can imagine both YAR A'DULL and FASHOLA has been in office for the same time, and we can see the difference like 7 UP.

One is a YAR A'LIAR, and the other BRF ACTION.

That is the sole reason why people are asking him to consider running for President , so that he can go to the Federal and do what he is in doing in LAGOS. Lagos is 10% of Nigeria, unlike KATSINA which is no more than 4 Local Government in Lagos state.

Beside BRF went to proper school , he is not only a lawyer but a SAN, so on most account BRF is miles ahead of YAR VISIONLESS 2020, AND

The other thing is about the popular saying, HOW A SUNDAY WILL LOOK LIKE, YOU CAN FIGURE OUT ON SATURDAY. If anyone spend 2 yeras of a
4 year term and nothing to show for it, even if you elect him for 20 years , NOTHINHG will come out. The best example PDP has been in power for 10 YEAR and they have not achieve anything.

I have said it before, and I will say it again. YES SANUSI LAMIDO is qualified to hold the position of CBN.

But there are 3 issues which I want to make observatios.

1. There are equally other qualified persons in either the CBN or other private institutions

2. The constitution was breached here in order to put 'MERIT' and therefore his appointment is unconstitutional , in breach of FEDERAL CHARACTER provison of the constitution. YAR A'DULL should start preaching merit to Nigerians by resigning first as he was not in that office by merit. Merit in case of SANUSI is just another disguise for nepotism when it suits the North. Just imagine that it is the south that has 3 qualified and competent person to fill a particular sector like Finance, the North will ask for Federal character to be obeserved.

3. The speed at which the SENATE approved him within 3-4hours, with their senseless YEAH, and no dissenting opinion say to me that 'GHANA MUST GO' is full to their asking.

If we must follow merit, let us follow merit, if it is Federal character according to the constitution, we must not allow YAR A'DULL or indeed any president to choose arbitrarily.

To be frank with Nigerians, the office of the President is beyond
YAR A'CLUELESS. He can read from what he is been told, can analyse the issues but NO ACTION. Think about 1 major road that goes from West to East (the business route), they have not built another one when it is very much needed nor have they repair it properly, they are now building 10 lanes in ABUJA.


I said it November 2007 that it is too soon to judge whether or not
YAR A'DULL can be considered for second term, firstly he did not win an election but selection for the first term neither has he achieve anything in those 2 years, he is still studying his files.

If you ask me to grade YAR A'VISIONLESS,  I will say  GROSS INCOMPETENCE.

The guy is not fit for the office  either through reason of health, mental, physical, honesty and leadership ability. The guy gave his first press briefing nearly 2 yeras into office, and have psycophant in almost every ministry.

A BIG NO TO SECOND TERM.

I am sorry to say that YAR A'NONSENSE and his cronies forgot that the Federal character is primarily put in the constitution to guard against marginalisation of the North because for a very long time they put themselves and the country backward at least education wise.

Now, for argument sake let us do everything(as in appointment ) by merit, most Northerners will not  be in office, I dare say including
Mr. President  7 POINTLESS AGENDA, VISIONLESS 2020.

I think this particular appointment exposes the hypocrisy of the North , due process and Rule of law, servant leadership mantra, which I know it is all pack of lies.

According to the constitution, appointments must be spread around different states, even if we assume that LAMIDO SANUSI is the best candidate, but among the remaining personell of CBN we can find someone to match him.

Otherwise the President should remove one of the other Economic team from KANO/KASTINA and replace him with someone from the other part of the country if he insitsted in having SANUSI

Merit is another excuse for Nepotism when it suits the North, the facts remains that there are other people who are as competent from other parts of the country especially in the south, maybe SANUSI is the only competent from the North 3 geo political zone, but we can certainly find a dozen SANUSI  in the 3 SOUTH geo political zone.

The law is the law , period, the law should  be amended if  YAR A'LIAR want to talk of MERIT and then we should see whether he himself has the merit to be the PRESIDENT  OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA( OR KASTINA)

We should stop being deceived with clever argument of merit when it suits our brothers from the NORTH. Next time the North will start JIHAD if federal character is not being observed on other appointments.

The OONI of IFE has not built palace with N4billion Naira, so I wonder what OLUBADAN is thinking.

The OLUBADAN might as well ask the federal goverment to bring Central bank to his palace so that they can mint currency there.

I will like to know where OYB_MEND got the information from where SANUSI donates N20million naira to a primary school from FBN money, because that looks dodgy. and may affects the dividends of shareholders.

Anyway, something cross my mind again when somebody said that whether SANUSI will be given free hands. I think that he will NOT be given free hand.

Now this is where OBJ did very well, he gave SOLUDO a free hand in running CBN and we can all see the benefits. THe Northern oligarcy are not known to give free hand.

LAMIDO SANUSI is descendant of the EMIR of KANO, and I cannot see him understanding, and channelling his policy at the CBN for the good of the common man, it is not in him, he was born with silver spoon, and history tells us that people born into wealth are less likely to understand the underpriviledge. I prayed and hope that the guy go to CBN and proves me wrong for the sake of ordinary Nigerians.

YAR A' DULL  for merit?  I think this is good for Nigeria. But if he decide we should do things by merit which I welcome and applaud, then he should now step down immediately as the President of Nigeria. He was not in that office by merit, he knows it.

This guy called YAR A'NONSENSE cannot cease to amaze me.  As of today, Nigeria is build on concept of 'federal character' and I may add this was done in the interest primarily of the North(limited education) so that their interest and other minorities can be protected.

On the face of it, there is nothing to suggest that LAMIDO SANUSI is not the most qualified and competent for the office of Governor of the CBN but on the basis of federal character, the position should not go to him. I have argue this point before on this forum, all the finance and National planning guy's will come from KANO and KATSINA state ,the same geo political zone and that is against the constitution.

The constitution even comes before merit, and the NORTH has benefited from this mediocare constitutional provision for a very long time, and for 
YAR A'DO NOTHING  to now trying to argue MERIT for his guys from KANO and KASTINA state is not only nepotism, but hypocrisy, opportunism and most importantly it is in breach of the constitution.

My hypothetical question is , if those 3 people are from SW or SE will he have allowed those appointment by citing merit? You and I know the answer to that  one, a resounding NO NO NO.

I am sorry that merit has to be sacrificed on this occassion for what the constitution says.
