1. Do they have the facilities to test whether or not we have the swine flu 2. Even if they do, do they know how to use it or have personnel 3. Nigerian govt propably don't care as there are more deadly diseases they know of that they did not do anything about it. 4. The leaders will propably fly to GERMANY to get an ailment including flu and malaria treated or accompany such leader with estacode allowance more than the costs of a small decent hospital in Nigeria. 5. If the foundation is faulty, what can the righteous do, the foundation, especially that of our leaders are very faulty to the point that we are simply window dressing. I prayed like most well meaning Nigerians that we don't have no outbreak of any major disease, even the President may not want to do anything as already he is struggling now. |
LEADERSHIP Nigeria challenges is still based on lack of leadership. when you have a leader who can lead his/her own family, he may then be able to lead his community with example before he can lead a whole nation. However, leaders come from followers, and the followers mirror exactly their leader because they produced the leader in the first place. A good leader must however have vision to lead and gently persuade the followers to change course by showing them that the old ways does not work and show them what a new way can bring. There is also problem with succession, and that is where OBJ failed notably. a good leader success is measured by his successor. Take TINUBU to FASHOLA in Lagos state. Whatever our opinion of Tinubu, he has put up a good successor and that alone bring forth is 'thought' for the good well beings of Lagosians, and Nigerian cosmopolitans living in that state. POLITICS Our politicians and political system is dubious. It is based on personalitites without clear cut policies, agenda and ideology. A party must be strictly and statutorily required to produce a manifesto or contract with the people. They must say exactly what they will do in terms of all areas of life, when they are going to do it and who may likely do it, and the costs including where the monies will come from. Too much talk leave room for ambiguity. YAR A'DULL main problem is that he is not fit for whatever reasons to be able to handle that office. They wrote 7 NO POINT AGENDA and VISIONLESS 2020 for him during the period before the last election campaign. He was put there just to be President and 'NOT TO LEAD'. He himself does not know what to do. |
I have not read the interview and Yar A'dull answers. I have no reason to doubt that the answers will have come from being coached the weekend and the night before the interview. Ask yourself this questions, where are the actions to show for all that he knew after almost 2 years in office. AS for me, I refused to be fooled and lied to with a clueless, visionless and NO POINTS AGENDA , servant non-leader. Think about it once again, he has a mandate for 4 years, election campaign will start at the begining of the 3rd year. Half way through his term, he has not done NADA. I am sorry for Nigerians for this Yar A'nothing president , the head of a DO NOTHING PARTY call PDP. Unfortunately all those AC, ANPP and the rest are hopeless oppositions. Only God will deliver us from PDP and nigerian politicians. N.B I tried to read the interview but it is too long. The guardian should have brokn it down for easy readership. |
A leopard cannot and will never change it's spot. YAR A'dull is in that mode. Even, if he wanted to change, he does not know how to do it. The man has a limit, he propably knew it, the people around him knew it, but politicians are usually very happy to have a fool as the head so that they can do dubious things in his name. |
mikeansy: I will say 1000 times. Being a governor of cow market state of kastina is different from ruling a vibrant state with educated/intelligent state like Cross Rivers state. In any event there is at least TINAPA. OBUDU ranch at minimum to show for by Governor DUKE. What can anyone or anybody remember KASTINA state for during Yar A'Nothing governorship. NOTHING, NADA, ZERO The PDP North south pact is a complete nonesense. as OBJ said on BBC Hardtalk interview with Stephen Sackur, ' it takes more than being a gentleman to lead a country'. I will add, especially a country like Nigeria. I have said it before and I will say it again, The South East in particular or the south south should find a governor to emulate, understudy and perform like FASHOLA and be a Federalist with conviction, and stop this BIAFRA this BIAFRA that , so that he can contest for the 2015 presidency and make a massive difference. The Army are still the main power broker and it is full of our Northern brothers. An Ex Force persosn like OBJ from SE will be ideal. Nigerians need a leader with vision who can put his/her foot down and lead from the front. I personally don't think the PDP which was like the NPN in the 2nd republic has anything to offer Nigeria and Nigerians. |
Why everybody is being emotional unnecessary I don't know. What is the difference between PDP ( papa deceiving pikin) and AC ( Actionless congress), they are bird of the same feather including their cousin, ANPP ( Association of national pitiful party). They always prostitute together, solidarity, cross carpet and form government of national unity. ATIKU -PDP-AC-PDP FAYOSE PDP-AC I don't know either ONI or FAYEMI, but anyone that can associate with a thuggish politician (who is supposed t be young) like FAYOSE does not derserve to be in public office. As for this politicians, OBJ has said it before, it is a DO OR DIE. ANIMALS who should have been in the bush who are living in the community. We need help in this country, because all these partry rig elections in their own territory. |
Where are on earth do you get 39% for someone who is still reading his handover files. Someone whose definition of emergency on power is 2 years(whilst promising to do it within 100 days of assuming office) The man Yar A' NO POINT AGENDA qualification through higher education should be checked, because he is a either a liar or someone who cannot keep camapign promise or a combination of both. I hear Rule of Law when no one single leading politicians has been convicted despite solid eveidence, even Igbinnedion in EDO state was fined percentage of his loot. I am sorry for our dear country. |
mikeansy:[/b] I think that might be a good strategy but ATIKU and BHUARI are the ones in those AC and ANPP. Trusting Nigerian political prostitute, they will jump ship before the daylight, or they will do solidarity visit or 'try to form Government of National Unity' I suggest any other party except PDP, AC and ANPP because they are the parties that are just recyclying some old cargos politicians who has been there since independence with no landmark policy that we can remember them for. Nigerians we need more ideas to get rid of 1. POVERTY DEVELOPMENT PARTY 2. ACTIONLESS CONGRESS 3. ASSOCIATION OF NUISANCE PITIFUL PARTY |
Election campaign has started in disguise by Rebranding, repackaging and 'Emergency on power after 2 years' This President has no clue. Nigerians should stop being passive, we should campaign to make sure this PDP and Yar A'nothing are kicked out of office. I, like most other well meaning Nigerians are worried that there are no credible opposition or politicians in this country. The reason is selfishness and PDP ,AC and ANPP are 'cross party' political paties. Their members have no ideology or political principles upon which they are based except sharing of 'national cake' Nigerians, up to you, on what we can do to get rid of these DO NOTHING PARTIES AND LEADERS. Your opinion and suggestions are welcome, please no tribal bashing, don't let be like our visionless leaders, let us think deep and profer a thoughful lasting solutions. |
mikeansy:The above is spot on. 2 years to declare emergency (when he promised within 100 days), it will be another 2 years for grounds to be cleared and another for 4 years ordering some materials. Then the next PDP liar will come and said that 2040 Vision will see us to the promised land. You can fool people most times but not all the times. Lieing is a game, if the person being lied to does not know he/she is being lied to, the liar must know that he is lieing. The two quote above is the best way to descibe President Yar A'for Nothing Yar A'liar told us exactly 2 years ago that he will declare emergency on power as soon as he become president but it is clear that he, either does not know the meaning of emergency or he is pure and simply lieing. Campaign for 2011 election has started with rebranding and repackaging, followed by 'emergency' on power. Yar A'power, at least he knows how to prepare the ground for election. He is not stupid afterall only that he is playing games. |
7 NO POINT AGENDA, VISIONLESS 2020 AND DIVERSION 2011 FOR RE-ELECTION He has however scores on. 1. Re starting corruption and dropping fight against corruption under the pretence of due process and rule of law. Criminals knows laws more than lawyers and knows how to use it. 2. REVERSAL REVERSAL REVERSAL 3. Flying for medical treatment in Germany every 3 months 4. Repackaging and rebranding UNFIT FOR OFFICE EITHER BY REASON OF MEDICAL, MENTAL , PHYSICAL OR INTELLECT. |
The whole truth nothing but the truth. I couldn't agree more. once you have ability to discern, then after 6months to 1 year, you can figure out the truth inspite of what they in govt wants us to believe. The only disturbing news for Nigerians is that Yar A'dull DOES NOT read newspapers or cannot surf the web, and only get 'sweet info' from his cronies. This man Yar A'dull has no vision of any kind whatsoever, you can give him 100years nothing will change. Can anybody honestly say where he stands other than reversal. Take Ribadu example, the man Yar A'dull lied by saying they are only sending him to school when even a primary school child knows the game he is playing. If you want to get rid of someone send him to school or united nations under pretence. What is the difference between a 419 and a person acting with deception, the answer as you may guess is that they are first cousins. A liar is the same as a thief. Another example is operation rebranding and repackaging. unless you rebranding and repackage the leadership to be truthful and lead by example, it simple a waste of time and money. I personanly thinks it is the begining of campaign for Yar A'dull 2011 re-election camapign. The man is incapable in that office and he is showing it. To Nigerians I prayed and lets hope for the best whilst realistically we should brace ourselves to achieveing NOTHING from a do nothing administration. |
just a thougt as I was reading this. For all thos Governor's who their opponents are challenging their elections. Just work hard as Fashola, even if the court asked for a re-run, even if such Governor never wins first time legitimately, the people will vote for him/her in view of the work such Governor will have done in such a such space of time. The Lesson then as I see it from Governor Fashola is that work hard , and Nigerian's aren't stupid, they are very appreciative especially lagosians. These are what true AWOIST including Jakande were doing because AWO have a meaningful masses/common man policies. They are 'chopping' and still provide for the people. |
This is repackaing and rebranding at work, yar A'dull style. This is what I called DIVERSION 2011. Campaign for Re-election has already started. Yar A'No action. 7 NO POINT AGENDA, VISIONLESS 2020. A leopard cannot change it's spot. I salute the people that gave PDP = papa deceiving pikin. That is what the President is doing. Yar A'adua has NO VISION of its own or the vision may not be sufficent or he has no energy to carry it out. Just to buttress my point. Early on, everyone was thinking that the Election petition is the thing that is holding him back. He has now been confirmed by the Supreme court(partly because the sysstem is inefficient- that wait nearly 2 years into a 4 years for petition to be settled, and partly because the Justices of the Supreme court does not want to allow chaos in an already bad situation. Between OBJ and Yar A'failure (and their party PDP) they have been in charge of the country for 10 years. Even, if they are re-elected and spent 100 years they are still unlikely to fix anything. Madam Rebranding and repackaging- Prof. Akunyili is making attempt to do something good, but she didn't get it. The leaders must lead before they ask the followers to follow. What LEADERSHIP has yar A'dull and his cronies shown for anybody to follow, remember General Idiagbon of blessed memory(even though he is a military) he leades by example. He didn't start jumping to Germany for medical treatment every 3 months. Anybody remember the saying 'IF YOU PUT A LIPSTICK ON A PIG, ITS STILL A PIG' . There are more fundamentals to be rebranded before the whole thing call Nigeria can be rebranded. For example, our leaders want the ordinary Nigerians to change BUT they don't want to change. foul over the bar, it won't work and we would still be on this debate pass 2015 after Yar A' Dull term will have come to an end. We need a young, vibrant, honest and discplined, focus and dedicated leader that will spell out his vision but identify saboteurs and be ready to deal with them ruthlessly. |
sbo:This President continues to get more names than he can be able to recall. Yar A'dull, Yaradumb, yaraliar, Yar A'failure. and all the names fit and stick. you see, this president was imposed on Nigerians by OBJ and the Ibori/Aoodonkaa cover up. He has no clue and will never have a clue. If anyone will recall when he was campaiging for election, he promised that he will declare emergency on power within 100 days of assuming office, it is nearly 700 days he has not done so. he keeps talking about 7 (NO) points agenda and VISION 2020( or VISIONLESS 2020). On a very crucial note, PDP will have been in Power for 10 years, they have not manage 5,000 or 10,000 MW of power. My prediction is that even if they are in office another 11 years to 2020, they will still not achieve it. They are bunch of crooks and dishonest people. they have not been honest with Nigerians in all their dealings. it's all chop chop money. Unfortunately and rightly so, Nigerians don't have apetite fr military rule anymore(otherwise there would have been a military coup). Even though the military 'basterdaise' Nigeria in the first place. They are still not telling the whole truth as to what are the problem. just to give you a clue, this guy still goes abroad almost once in a quater to fix his health with monies being spent overseas. (what was yar a'dull salary and who is paying for those medical bills.) |
I have qouted time ane time again, that popular American saying 'YOU CAN PUT LIPSTICK ON A PIG, IT'S STILL A PIG' Madam Rebranding Dora Akinyuli may have succeded in rebranding NAFDAC because she has shown determination and leadership BUT from Yar a'dull to majority of his ministers and substantial numbers of politicians, they are not material upon which anyone can be prepared to rebrand and repackage. As Americans will say ' they are outright crook and should be in high security prisons' Barao bansa , rebranding my foot. How can word becomes honey in the mouth of organised liers. imagine a government with people like AGF Aondaonka with IBORI etc. what a waste of our precious time. I am sorry for prof. Dora Akinyuli, they will soon finish her credibility and dump her. Think about it for a minute, do anyone has fear of EFCC again. None, nada, nilch. ANIMALS CALLED POLITICIANS, who should all have undergo a psychiatric test before contesting for office. majority have IQ of a dumb 419 gangsters. Anuofia all of them |
BANKS ALL OVER THE WORLD ARE BANKSTERS= LICENSED OPEN HOUR ROBBERS. CANNOT BE PROSECUTED BY THE EFCC. LISTS OF WORLD LICENSED OPEN HOUR(24HOURS) ROBBERS 1. INSURANCE COMPANIES HEADED BY AIG 2. BANKS. The goldsmiths of this world, Roschild etc 3. TELECOMMUNICATIONS COMPANIES 4 LOTTERY COMPANIES 5. GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS IN AFRICA (ESPECIALLY NIGERIA)- no regard for any rule of law With the organisations listed above, they have been doing this since the inception of the world, they will continue to do it whilst the world is coming to an end. By the way, their children are looking forward to take over. |
CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME. Akinyuli is making noise for her master, President Yar A'dull. The govt is using Prof. Akinyuli and her 'political credit' with average Nigerians especially her very good work when she was at NAFDAC. The truth is that until Prof. Akinyuli get her boss to rebrand anr repackage himself and the people leading us, I can almost guarrantee that her effort will wasted. I think prof Akinyuli has started to drink bigstouting, peppersuyaing etc in Abuja and that has begining to affect her judgement and reasoning. She should visit any of the Nigerian embassies abroad, she will see how our ministries and govt offices function. Blaming the images of Nigeria on diasporans is like blaming the child for the ill of the father. I have said it before and I 'll say it again, when a father smoke weeds, don't be surprised when child smoke cigarette. The problem of Nigeria, and the success or failure of branding or repackaging lies with our leaders, they are the principal people who tarnish the brand. I am sorry for Prof. Akinyuli, she is looking at the wrong place for the problem, and so she is unlikely to find the solutions. Children always look at their fathers/parents. Our president promised 7 NO POINT AGENDA, and has not deliver 1 POINT AGENDA, how can he ask people to stop lieing. I, like millions of Nigerians love Prof. Akinyuli but this time she has not only go too far but looking at the wrong people to blame for the problem with Nigeria. infact the people in diaspora are the one's that are able to give an honest assessment of how our govt is doing in comparision to what they see elsewhere, and we are thousand of miles behind in our potential. If you go to Abuja and live in govt quarters as Minister or asst everything is rosy but not so in other part of the country and for those that lives abroad. Anyway, in 2-4 years prof. Akinyuli will remember the popular saying ' IF YOU PUT A LIPSTICK ON A PIG, ITS STILL A PIG' We need re-orientation from the root, and not window dressing. DIVERSION 2020 FOR 2011 ELECTIONS is all what the govt is planning. Nigerians are now far smarter than Yar A'dull and his team. |
I think LAGOS STATE should be thinking more of light railway links and water transportation. There is not enough land for all those buses to travel. Mass transit (railways and water transport) is the most suitable for LAGOS which has a very unique situation, ABUJA is also looking to the same way. Most major capital cities should have the same thing. I hope FASHOLA is learning lesson of JAKANDE and LAGOS TRANSPORT OF THE 70's AND 80's. |
PDP saying their man Yar a'dull will contest 2011 elections when they know fully well that his only legacy will be Rebranding, repackaging, and 7 NO POINT AGENDA. can anyone tell me what his rule of law achieved in the last 2 years. EFCC is now doing plea bargaining for corrupt politicians not to go to jail, example Lucky Igbinedion of EDO state. 'YOU CAN PUT LIPSTICK ON A PIG, IT'S STILL A PIG' until we rebrand and repackage the heads and minds of those leading us, it is will just be another money 'laundary' excercise. 'money for the boys' NIGERIANS should say NO to rebranding, YES to our leaders telling the truth and fixing basic infrastructures. when our leaders keep their promises to the electorate and to Nigerians we would have succeded in REBRANDING AND REPACKAGING OUR NATIONS. until then pay no attention. If our leaders continue to do corruption as if there is no tommorow, i can assure you comedians business will increase in turnover. Have your say about this waste of money excercise. |
I noted people on this site has not see the challenges, raise it and profer solutions before all the rebranding, repackaking excercise. The concept or idea is laudable but the Head of the school is not a credible man, and any reasonable and sensible man will know that it is a gimmick. Let us put it into context, if FASHOLA was talking of rebranding, repackaging in Lagos State will people not take him serious? of course people will take him serious because he's doing things to alleviate the suffering of the ordinary people. Now. let us compare that with Yar A'dull's record. He is no different from OBJ. He 'campaigned' on VISION 2020 and 7 POINT AGENDA. Most dishonestly he said that ' I will declare emergency on power within 100 days of assunming office'. It is about 700 days, he has not declare any emergency. It is either he does not know the meaning of emergency or being economical with the truth.( what a white man will call bold face lying) Next is the Vision 2020 and 7 point agenda. It has now become a popular comedian joke to say, if only Mr. President should just do a 1 POINT AGENDA. and once comedians start to makes anything a joke , it becomes a joke. PDP is PAPA DECEIVEING PIKIN. PDP MEANS NO POWER. It is now 10 years since PDP have been in office they have not being able to fix electricity. IF THEY ARE THERE FOR 100 YEARS THEY WILL NOT FIX IT. MARK MY WORD. Our challenges are to some extent structural and you need to be young, bold, and have no godfather to take on the establishment. Think about it for a minute we don't have any credible opposition party to give PDP a fight to think that they can lose an election if they don't deliver. Our present political parties are based on personality. Even ATIKU is rumoured to want to go back to PDP only because his interest is solely to become President not because he has a credible agenda either. NOW, solutions - 1. we need a good debate as what kind of leaders we want to lead this country, do we want a leader without any track record of achievement or the ones that can articulate his plans, his own personal vision and very crucially TIMELINE AND HOW HE/SHE IS GOING TO PAY FOR HIS PROGRAMME. 2. We, the followers should encourage each others to refuse N500 note during election and asked about policies and how they are going to carry it out. I can go on and write a book on the solutions, but until we cry aloud together sufficiently, it will be thief come thief go looting continues. I dare say that over 90% + of those leading us are outright crook and we all knows it and we care less and even celebrate a man who has not work in his lifetime that becomes a billionaire once he is elected office. Are we part of the FOOLISH Plc- buying into illusion as opposed to a vision? we should search our heart. I like to hear from everyone on how to build a better Nigeria, and rebranding and repackaging will follow. You do not put a cart before the horse. Build electricity, good road, stop stealing govt monies, stop promising a lie during election campaign. Thats how you rebrand with the TRUTH. LET US HEAR YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS ON BUILDING A BETTER NIGERIA AND STOP WASTING OUR TIME AND MONEY ON 'BRANDING'. |
Rebranding, repackaging, recolouring, new slogan, new anthem, new song without re-orientation and repogramming the brains of our visionless 'servant leader' with 7 -100 NO POINTS AGENDA. ' IF YOU PUT LIPSTICK ON A PIG, IT'S STILL A PIG' Until our leaders stop their corrupt 'show offs' and disrepect for rule of honest engagement and become sensitive to the needs of the people they serve, we can repaint all the landscape of Nigerians with yellow or rainbow it won't make it any better. My fellow Nigerians what do you think is the best way to give Nigeria a better name and good image other than 'money laundering' rebranding and repackaging, which in my opinion is a diversion from VISIONLESS 2020 AND 7 NO POINT AGENDA. THE AGENDA IS 2011 ELECTION 2ND TERM FOR YAR A'FAILURE. JUST A DIVERSION President Yar A'dull has no clue on how to lead Nigeria, and with great sympathy for his health, he is not fit physically and maybe mentally to lead Nigeria at this point in Nigeria history. NO MATTER THE TALK TALK, THE WALK WALK OF OUR LEADERS ARE THE BEST BRANDING FOR NIGERIA. A father that smoke weed cannot stop his children from smoking cigarette. Bad leadership breeds bad followership. it is that simple as ABC. Guys and gals up to you for your thoughts and contributions. |
Am not an Obj person; but I must say he held his own in the interview, doubt if any previous naija president would have done better, I just am shame that with the oppurtunity he had he didnt do better, and worse still bequeathed us with Baba Go Slow. Am sure if he had choosen someone in the mould of fashola, people wont be remembering his shortcomings as lagosians and have forgotten about Tinubu, Guess thats his greatest error and I think he must be regretting it now. OBJ biggest failure on both occassion of his 'leadership' of Nigeria or lack of it, is grooming/or at least making sure a good successor takes over. The Example of TINUBU to FASHOLA is a very good example. At least if father is no good, then the son should be better. The TINUBU to FASHOLA should be a study and model for other states and even the Federal government. Inteeligent, educated and informed proper leader by example. Running a state or a country is not show business and there is no need for 7 NO POINT AGENDA AND VISIONLESS 2020. And Now we have REPACKAGING, REBRANDING AND SLOGAN. What planet do those fool lives in with all the poverty, hunger and lack of basic infrastructures. YOU CANNOT PUT A NEW WINE IN AN OLD WINE SKIN UNTIL YOU CELANSE IT. 'IF YOU PUT A LIPSTICK ON A PIG, IT'S STILL A PIG' - Barack Obama Mr. Yar 'Adull and Yar A'failure should take a week or two retreat on his own and formulate his own vision and at least deliver on 1 AGENDA, from there 100 POINT AGENDA will take care of itself. It is no shame telling Nigerians that you are incapable to deal with the issues at this level. |
'IF YOU PUT LIPSTICK ON PIGS, IT IS STILL A PIG' , what exactly are you rebranding. You can fool people most times but not all the times. Rememeber that from US elections. Until they rebrand and recycle Nigerian political leaders brain and mind, it is all waste of money, time and tactical diversion until another election comes in 2011. To be blunt Nigeria lack leadership. Our 'servant leader' is not leading by any good example. Yar A'dull has 7 NO POINT AGENDA. And very very very worrisome he has NO VISION OR DIRECTION. HE IS THE CHAIRMAN OF VISIONLESS 2020 COUNCIL. I am really sorry for Prof. Dora Akinyuli. She want to try her best among 'failed' people. I wish and hope and prayed that she does not fail, because 'a richman in the middle of poor people is poor'. The answer to the success or failure of this 'money laundering' excercise will be out in the next 12 months. There are so many important needs of the average nigerians. Food, water, power, good road, school and health services. Remember, an empty stomach cannot hear any slogan or rebranding. Our Lord Jesus christ feed the people before he started to minister to them. YAR A' FAILURE , when you do your 5 times a day prayers, ask God for directions, Vision and wisdom, some leadership and stop listening to political prostitutes who has no idea about the ordinary people and what policies other than personally enriching themselves they want to pursues. May God in his infinite mercy give us a leader that will work sympathetically for Nigerians. |
By their actions or inactions you shall know them. Yar A'dull, I am sorry to say has no vision of his own nor any agenda. and to be frank, the office of the President of Nigeria as many of his predecessors have proven, is way out of his league if a basic international comparable standard is applied. I dare say that even in African/third world country context Yar A'dull still fall short. Where can one start. Do anybody remember his election campaign in which he promised to decalare emergency on power within 100 days, we are very close to 700 days and he still haven't figure out that. Also, this Visionless 2020 nonesense and 7 NO POINT AGENDA stupidity. as they say, you can fool most people most times but not all the time. Ordinary good connecting roads connecting North west and south and east are not there. Lagos- Ibadan expressyway which is the gateway to the country commercial city is in shambles, built over 30 years ago and in state of disrepair. If I were an examiner, and I need to give Mr. President a mark for his performances or lack of it, he would score 15 out 100. The 15 for keeping the country together, zero for doing nothing. By the way, it is not just the President but his entire team who has not enough courage to give the president a sound advice and resign in protest if he refuses to listen. And what makes it very painful is that there are so many intelligent and brilliant people in this country. As they say, Allah e dey. |
TopBooty:The writer of the above statement is a fool. What part of Nigeria are you from? Do you know your history and who the Ooni of Ife is? and which Ooni of Ife is a 'drug dealer' and have you pass on your evidence to the authorities and such'Ooni of Ife' being found guilty in a court of law as Drug dealer. People should becareful what they say by hiding behing the screen of a computer and yarn obscenity. What if I say that the writer of those word is an armed robber? where is my proof. For the benefits of those that do no know, Ooni of Ife is the title of the King of Ile-Ife, the cradles of the Yorubas. And since the creation of time, there has been many Ooni of Ife come and gone, and they hold their office during their lifetime as the custodian of the people. So, which particular Ooni of Ife is 'a drug dealer' or is all the people from Ife or Yorubaland or wherever the writer father and mother come from are drug dealers. Whenever you are typing away, please think, do not paint people or an office with a single brush. And never say what you cannot proof or has not been proven. I hope a word is enough for the wise ( or in this case a fool) and others like her. |
YAR A'DULL = NO POINT AGENDA VISION 2020= VISION NOTHING NOTHING 0 NADA Those 7 point agenda was written for Mr. President during his campaign. he has no vision of his own other than 'servant leader' - whatever that means. Now, just for a minute , you compare and contrast that with President Obama (who was a first time US senator without executive experience), he set out his own vision and his campaign grew from that vison. Yar a'dull is PDP/OBJ 777 2020 naira note papa deceiving pikin vision agenda to no where. What is Yar a'dull achievement in 8 years as a Governor 'with executive experience'. There is none, upon that he has a very life threathening illness, and they continue to cover up. Even for someone with good health, it take mental toughness of a steel to run a corrupt ridden country like Nigeria. What kill a brave soldier is not the lack of his ability to wage wars and fight it bravely but his inability to understand when to be defensive as oppossed to be offensive. Mr. Yar A'dull is part of the failed political class for he knows he is unable to do the job for variety of reasons but still hang on to power. That is not servant leader but selfish power 'hanger on' The stake for Nigeria and Nigerian's are too huge that most of what I see is drama and comedy by our so called 'government'. Am I surprised, definitely NO, because you cannot give what you don't have, and in any event majority of our political leaders derived their powers not from the people's free willed mandate but from GODFATHERISM. May the Good Lord deliver Nigeria, Nigerians and may he have mercy on ordinary folks. |
Boeing 727 is a very old Aircraft and should be out of service now. |
I have read all the post so far. my own conclusion is that we all agree that the system or the arrangements as it stands does not work, and it does not work for so many reasons. 1. We do not practiced true federalism- as in power to manage each states resources and pay federal taxes as in the USA. what we are doing here is putting power concentrated at the centre at FCT with almost near absolute power with the Presidency. as they say absolute power corrupt absolutely. 2. The issue of poverty and lack of proper governing (lack of leadership and even 'questionable followers') is very powerful problem against the development and progress of Nigeria. 3. Nigeria as one country is not the problem but lack of vision and direction. let me be precise, every leader of nigeria to the present administartion has not set a realisable programm for the long term and meaningful resources as in human and capital to back it up. there used to be 10 year national planning before and all you have now is 2010, 2020 nonsense. Yar a'dull has been in office with 7 points agenda almost 2 years and has not figure out how he is going to do 1 point agenda. Let me make it simple for people on this forum, for anybody to build a house, they have to have a vision of what they want to build, and then proceed to draw out a plan with experts and they deceide how much they have to build with and how long they want to build and make adjustment for inflation, but TIMELINE is an absolute otherwise the project will not work. 4.CORRUPTION has now infected the blood of well over 90% of Nigerians because of our leaders and the lifestyle we all want to live as demonstrated by our leaders. So, let us look at the alternatives(assuming we think dividing the country up may be the solutions) There are about 4 distinct nations and other minorities in the mid belt. 1. AREWA- all the Hausa/fulani states- Sokoto, kebbi, zamfara. kano Kastina, Jigawa, kaduna, bauch. and Gombe. and 1A. DEPENDING IF Yobe, Borno, Adamawa and Taraba which are KANURI'S want to join Arewa based on religion (majority moslem), common Hausa and Arabic language and geographical location 2. OODUA - Lagos, ogun, oyo, osun, ondo, ekiti, major part of Kwara, Kogi, and sopart of Edo and Delta that may have affinity with the Yoruba's- the edo's of benin city, tsekiri's of Warri. This is purely based on ancestral linage from Oduduwa and georaphical locations. they both have 3 religions, - traditional, christian and moslem. 3. REPUBLIC OF NIGER DELTA Major part of Delta and some part of Edo State, bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Cross Rivers states. 4. BIAFRA- some part of edo state and some part of delta state, Imo state, Enugu, Anambra, Abia , Ebonyiand some part of kogi and part of benue state. 5. NEW NIGERIA REPUBLIC. Niger state( nupe), benue state (tivs) , Plateau (lantang) and major part of nassarawa states East which thinks everything within the eastern geography is East is not quite correct and that is why you have south east and south south( Niger delta Republic) and so is the so called AREWA which can only be united by religion and possibly geography. North West and central is Hausa/Fulani and North East is KANURI's. Only Western Nigeria up to the River line is homogenous in tribe as in Yoruba. with all having 3 religions Then FCT in Abuja and former FCT in Lagos and Kaduna and porth harcourt should have special status because of their mixture of inhabitants as in diversity of tribes and religions. In conclusion, we should be looking for how to strenghten the country and not divide it. Ther will be gainers and losers and the benefits may be less than the problems. |
The people at PHCN needs their heads examine. they are completely insane and utterly foolish. Nigerians have some brains. If you need at least 20,000M or eevn in some instances 50,000MW and you only have 3,400MW, what exactly are you 'rejoicing or celebrating' An hungry man witout light/power does not understand the meaning of all your output level nonesense. Tell your Mr. president Yar A'dull to at least do something better and different from his father OBJ and the PDP NO POWER party. |
One thing which to me and other well meaning Nigerians is that of the phrase ' justice delay is justice denied' The election is over 18 months ago and Preisdent has been in office since then. There are 3 possible outcome, I will list them in order of likelihood. 1. PDP winning is validated by the court, and business as usual. 2. Election overturn on technicalities and caretaker govt in place. New election is re run and PDP win again and start the 4 years afresh. (sabbatical options- common in state elections) 3.PDP loses the Court hearing and throws the country into chaos. The ofice holder will milk the country dry before they take off. It is apparent that our election laws is seriously flawed. It is always difficult to dislodge an incumbent as they have the apparatus of the state. I hope that in future election law review that proceedings should be completed within 3-6 months of the election been concluded so that govt can focus on governing. |
bawomolo:I agree with above in bold. Our politics is that of personalities and money as oppossed to ideologies and issues. The last time we have a geniue issues were UPN of the south west, NPP of the south east and a bit by NPN especially on agriculture. otherwise it is all about 'daily bread' per garrisson commander- late Adedibu The other major problem is that this 'arrangement' is solely PDP and that is what is worrisome about it. Suppose another party took office and decide not to respect that 'arrangement' and I am convinced that the North will try to go back on that arrangemnt by trying to elect another Northerner via another party. I hope and prayed for the sake of all good Nigerians that I am proved wrong. My own proposal would be that for the sake of completeness, South south in 2015-2023, then north central (or whichever of the north that has not ruled Nigeria) and then south east afterwards OR EVEN 4 YEARS INSTEAD OF 8 YEARS ( WHICHEVER PARTY IN POWER) and then everything reset on merit but under no circumstances that a particular region must select a president for two consecutive period as the North will manipulate it as usual. Also with the greatest of respect to South East, there are two things I suggest they do before their time comes. (1.) rally round one good leader for them to present (2). deal with Biafran question. You either choose to lead and your man be President of Nigeria or just keep talking of Biafra. I personally noted injustices to the Igbo's but so also are injustices to the South south and the south west. Our brothers from the North are master political game player and we have to be able to make them to play fair otherwise they will continue to use divide and rule on the rest of Nigerians. |
