There is a popular saying that charity begins at home.

What has yar a'dulll done in his own country for anyone to respect him anywhere in the world.

Meanwhile as I am typing this message  Iam also watching BEN TV which is showing the official reception for Yar A'dull at the Nigerian High commissioners residence in London.

Another name for Yar A'dull is Joke, of course a less joke than his former boss OBJ who is a better clown.

Anybody who is being fooled and he does not know he is being fooled when it is obvious is a big fool.

As I predicted yesterday, there was plenty peppersuyaing and big stouting at david mark's residence.

In the next few days and weeks we shall be seeing 'solidarity' visits from ghana must go bag carriers for 'blessing monies' for spiritual and traditional mentors

The bible said that ' when the foundation is shaky what will the righteous do'

As things stand it appears that there are very few righteous men remain in Nigeria let alone in the political system.

on a lighter note, whether we like it or not

There will be peppersuaying and bigstouting tonight at david mark's residence, even his opponent will go there to 'solidarity' with him for free peppersouaying.

He will treat himself to another wife for his 'success/victory' in court.

He may have been selected but at least there is no drama in the Senate like ETTEHGATE of the House of Rep.

Everday for the thief, one day is for the owner. The day of Nigeria and Nigerians is only one day less.
PoliticsRe: Chidoka The Youngest House Of Reps Member Sacked! by vigasimple(m): 10:22pm On Jul 14, 2008
lucabrasi:
The Supreme Court has sacked Hon. Obinna Chidoka from the House of Representatives as the representative for Idemili/North and South Federal Constituency of Anambra state.
Five Justices of the Supreme Court, Niki Tobi, George Adesola Oguntade, Mahmud Mohammed, Francis Fedode Tabai and Muhammed Muntaka Coomasssie, while ruling on the case, ordered that Chidoka, the third respondent on April 21, 2007,vacate the seat and his place taken by Mr. Charles Chinwendu Odeda, the appellant and member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In the judgement, Oguntade stated that: "I would order that the appellant (Charles Chinwendu Odeda) being the candidate validly nominated by the PDP should step into the shoes of the third respondent, Obinna Chidioka , as the winner of the election
This , being an intra party dispute between members of the PDP, ought not make order which binds or affects other political parties or candidates who were not parties tot this case."
Odeda along with 10 others, Obiakor, Sylvester Okonkwo, Mgbemena, Emeka Onuora, Denis Okafor. Chukwueleu, Okwu Chukwu Obi, Obienyi, Chidioka and Helen Uzoma contested the primaries on November 24, which he won.
Chidoka scored only 6 votes and came a distant 10th. The appellant scored 397 votes at the primaries but INEC went ahead and published his name as the person who was cleared to contest the election
. Odeda also completed the documentation, and had his name duly published on December 20 by INEC as the person who was cleared to contest the election.
According to the judgement, "the appellant thought the coast was free or clear for him to
contest the election with other political parties. But that was not to be. He had a surprise. I think he also had a shock."
Odeda had on February 27 2007 got the information that his name had been substituted with that of Chidoka, he thereafter went to the Federal High Court in Enugu for the judicial review of the action of the INEC and the PDP in relation to the substitution of his name. But according to the Supreme Court,"the learned trial judge did not see his way clear in granting the relief sought by he appellant. He refused them."When contacted yesterday, Chidoka did not pick his calls but Odeda told THISDAy that it was a vindication against an unpopular decision by a few individuals to ignore the wish of the people who found him worthy to represent them in the National Assembly.
Odeda said he never lost hope in the judiciary despite the fact that the Federal High court, and the Court of Appeal did not see reason to give it to him earlier.

like fela would say, government magic, how can a dude that scored just 6 votes end up representing his district for more than a year collecting all the benefits
The 6 votes is the PDP primaries votes as against the appellant 397 votes in the primary. The appellant came first with the 397 votes and the respondent (the loser of this supreme court decision) came 10th in the primary with 6 votes. It is not the votes received in the actual general election against oppossing parties.

However, it is a political abradacabra that the person who came 10th got nominated, what happen to the other eight people number 2 to 9 (assuming the appellant have been disqualified)

PDP - PAPA DECEIVING PICKIN   PDP NO POWER.

confederacy as in Canada may be the answer.

The federal govt should only be responsible for National security as in Defence. Immigration etc.

Nigeria has develop when we used to have strong regions. A westerner or easterner or south south person or their leaders will be held solely responsible if their region does not develop.

The federal system is meant for mediocres to survive and milk the country especially some uneducated and educated illiterates who have been leading our country in the wrong directions for so many years.

Strong regional govt is the key so that by using economies of scale can pull together needed resources to develop. Awolowo did it in the old western region and Zik made his imapct in the old Eastern region.

There is some patrotism and national  identity in developing your region as oppossed to the so called 'national cake' which is just been shared and export to foreign bank accounts.
PoliticsRe: Newyorker Derails Obama Presidency by vigasimple(m): 3:59pm On Jul 14, 2008
The current atmosphere in the uSA is fear of Terrorist and if you are muslim or have any muslim name, by implication you are likely to be terrorist. Even good people are been asked to think like that by the press and the relentless campaign of 'war on terror' which frankly is a fear mongering tool. Not that there is no terrorist but they could have pretty English names like one has done in the uK before.

Also predominately the majority of terrorist whether in the 9/11 or otherwise are Arab origins and less of Africa.

Obama has not lived 3months in Africa and he is not a muslim, so why showing him like a terrorist with his wife carrying gun like OSama bin laden security guard.

The underline tone as far as I am concern is Racism because if Obama and his wife are whites, are they going to do such sattire ?. common guys it is very offensive.
PoliticsRe: Newyorker Derails Obama Presidency by vigasimple(m): 2:30pm On Jul 14, 2008
@ poster

It will not derail Obama Presidency because even his arch enemies wish and were just hoping that they can label him such or even soft on terrorist but they are unable to make that case so far.

@ Kobojunkie

It is not funny, but hopeful the decency in the majority of the American people will feed to the bigotry minority few who are not only racist but have been feed with FEAR MONGERING POLITICS.

Anyone with foreign or muslim sounding names is a Terrorist. Even Barrack's middle name which is Hussein is a very good name in islamic world nothwithsatnding Saddam make the name become something else. But if anyone remember King Hussain of Jordan , a very good man and ally of the WEST especially USA. His son is now the President of Jordan and continue with his father's tradition.

THE PHOTO IN ONE SENSE IS SIMPLY FEAR MONGERING OF ' ELECTION OF TERRORIST INTO THE WHITE HOUSE OR SOMEONE WITH TERRORIST VIEW'. and putting OBAMA and his wife in that setting.

The only thing that the New Yorker cannot say for fear of lawsiut is that OBAMA and his wife are terrorist, that is basically what it aims to conjour in peoples mind. It is frankly disgarceful. It is almost like drawing a picture of Mccain holding horsewhip with blacks in chain in front of him or dress him as a commander in the Nazi army in concentration camp.

If, either the New yorker or any other newsmagazine want, they can campaign or write editorial against OBAMA or campaign on issues and not make stupid, untenable suuggestion , inference or innuendo or invite people to look at Barack OBAMA or McCain like that.

In one word, The new yorker is OUT OF THEIR MIND. DISGRACEFUL

Even each local govt can produce its own electricity/power. so state can do equally, but because of economies of scale, regions will do well and be cost effective, of course some of the apparatus may be stationed in each state or local govt for efficiency.

I repeat we need extra special grace of God to break this cycle we have been nearly 50 years we have been since independence.

Satan is already helping us to continue in a sloppery slip we have been and withouth the extra special grace of God all argument and 'mouth revolution' we yab on Nairaland will not change anything. If anything experience has taught us that it only get worse.

Even among the majority of people on this site, given the opportunity they are propably going to be worse than our current leaders.

If you want us to continue the way we are , then don't worry satan is already doing it for you.

If on the other hand you want a radical change let us continue to work hard at finding a solution and at the same time ask for the special grace of God to take us to another level.

PoliticsRe: In Nigeria,Many People In Public Office Are Mentally Ill,says New Efcc Boss by vigasimple(m): 2:28pm On Jul 12, 2008
On this point there are some observations I like to make.

1. It is true that most politcians are mentally ill from drug abuse, fetish applications, disregard for basic common decency and respect for fellow human being basic needs.

2. Corruption in Nigeria is a combination of Fear of security after the office holder has left office and pure unadulterated super Greed.

3. 'oppressionism' is another reason why majority of our so called leaders, or shall we say 'RULERS/LORDSHIP' accummulate stolen wealth/riches they cannot even finish the interest in their grandchildrens lives not to talk of the actual capital

4. Also corruption is the norm and good behaviour in public office is an exception, so it will require the special grace of God to be able to break the cycle. Think for a minute a politicians child who braggs around as if he/she has done a single work in his/her entire life. ordinary folks will copy that  and hope to do the same when they find there way to public office.

5. The only business you can make an insane amount of monies with little investment monies of yours is public office.

Now as For the New EFCC boss, it appears to me that she has make the best Criminal defence counsel argument in a generation. so everyone fasten your seat belt and look forward to newly indicted Public official claiming mental illness maybe not as a defence per se but as a mitigation for the reason for commiting their crimes and I make a bold prediction that that will propably start from IBori and Fani Kayode

Yar A'dull has made a grave mistake by removing uncostitutionally RIBADU and his Govt will fail miserably because of this. Waziri will never or will be unable to prosecute with vigour like RIBADU any of those criminals calling themselves Governors.

CAN ANYBODY TELLS ME WHEN RIBADU WAS THERE THEY DON'T FEAR EFCC NOW IT IS BUSINESS AS USUAL. EFCC WILL SIMPLY BECOME AREA 'F' COMMAND OF THE NIGERIAN POLICE.

can Waziri seriously refuse a bribe of $15million dollars in one case? Time will tell.
PoliticsRe: The VP,a Weakling? by vigasimple(m): 1:12am On Jul 10, 2008
I stand to be corrected that Ogonis are part of the IJAW NATION. Essentially the IJAWS are people from the riverine areaswhich the majority of them are popularily called Niger deltans from Cross River to Ondo state.

Some people from those state have their ethnicity diffrent from the Ijaws but they are still forming part of the Niger delta. For example the Efik of calabar and other different tribes, they are Niger deltans but not IJAWS.

Those are my own understanding and I hope if anybody thinks it is wrong to shed more light on it.

Also in addition, The Niger deltans agitatiton has been confused as different faction are seeking different things. It has turn to blackmailing and money extraction business rather than a coherent political fight.

Infact the impression they are giving now is that 'they just want to be settled on daily basis'

Nigeria as whole need a comprehensive policy on dealing with the matter and I hope God will help us to find a lasting solutions so that we can all live with our brothers and sisters from that region of the country in peace.

why don't you ask yourself, how many hours per day are we having at the moment?
i wonder when all nigerians will get tired of all these day dreams and unfulfilled vissions.
This vision that vision is simply another name for National planning strategy.

Since our independence, the only one that was seriously pursued was the one mapped out by General Gowon and the one by Gen. Murtala specifically regarding FCT as the new capital of Nigeria which was incidentally started by OBJ as the Military Head of state.

The OBJ second coming and now Yar A'dull 2020 vision are so dubious that even primary school kids know that it has no prayers of succedding especially the way they mismanage the nations rescources.

Imagine Yar A'dull flying to Germany anytime he has some 'cold/flu and other dubious untruthful ailment' . If a President cannot even build an hospital in his own country to treat succesfully the sort of illness that he himself is suffering from. He has no chance of building hospital to treat others.

We should ideally be on our 5th national planning stage. 1960/63- 1970/73 from independence.

2.  1970/73- 1980/83   3. 1980/83 - 1990/93   4. 2000/03 - 2010/13    5. 2010/13- 2020/23

Due to military intervention we have not succesfully completed one out of those 5th periods.

Yar A'dull is currently trying to do the amalgalmation of the 4th and the 5th culminating in the 2020 vision with the so called 7 point agenda.

It is more likely to fail because of our political set up especially with a clueless President like
Yar A'dull.

Nigeria needs a sure willed power President with GOd's given wisdom to lead us so that he can inspire and motivate the country around a clearly defined, timelined action plan and stop this useless soundbite of 2020 vision without electricity to power our homes, business and economy.

without power there is no chance of any meaningful progress.

But power is not our problem. This is just effect of our problem like everything else.

Our key problem is our Politics. Given our nature, we should not be practice presidential system of government.

We should rather have 6-presidents from each of the six regions. We should practice collegiate system: equality of all region
1. Each of the 6 Presidents must agree on Policy otherwise its dead; no policy is detrimental to any region.
2. In any year, based on alphabetical order; there would be one-main president; to receive visitors and sign on behalf of others: no killing for elections
3. Each region can remove its President at any time if 1million signature collected
4. Presidential election would be done based on regions: so if you rig wrong guy, your region only surffer not whole of Nigeria.
5. After 6years, all the batches would go and never come back.
6. Each of the President must speak 1 language from all of the 6 regions.
Most of what you said highlighted above has some merit to it but 6 VP rotating to become President for a period of 2 years will be much better. The only reason  for the Vp of each region becoming President is to break the 'hold' by our Northern ownership of the office of the Presidency.

There is also the 2 Houses of Parliament who have also become thorn in the side of the President sometimes rightly sometimes wrongly especially threathening impeachment to extract monies from the Presidency and also stealing stealing that both the Presidency and legislature enjoy with the nations inadequate and mismanaged misprioritised nations resources.

I hope we can all begin to find meaningful idea to improve our Govt and our country.

May God continue to bless Nigeria and her people.

PoliticsRe: 6 Geo Political Zones by vigasimple(op): 10:07pm On Jul 06, 2008
@ Dis guy,

That is the premises of which I thought of before starting this thread.

If things are broken down and regionialised. Every region will be in a hurry to ensure that 'their people' and businesses have power.

Until we device a means for what works and what does not work we are fooling ourselves.

We are pretty sure we need about 60,000 MW which equates to 10,000MW per each geo political zone.

So, if  every region build say 1500MW each year over 10 years consistently we would have enough to meet the present and future growth, because as we develop, more energy will be require. So 1500MW for each region over 10 years will be 90,000 in 10 ,years.

Building the power system is not the only issue but maintaince contract for 10 years with adequate cross checking and severe penalty for such 'checkers' if they are compromised in their duties. Those cheking must be video recorded as they going about it and called several independent experts appointed randomly by possibly memebers of the public from registers and members of the public to be there on those inspections and videos to show Nigerians.

Even though it may be technical but once the whole thing is explained in laymans language, ordinary people are not stupid.

The other question I will like to ask the forum is that

HOW COME DID PHCN DID NOT USE RATIONING ALL ALONG WHEN WE HAVE EVEN 1500MW OR 3500MW when we know that those MW are not sufficient for the whole country at the same time or have they being doing it silently taking lights sometimes 1 or 2 weeks at a stretch.

I think they are still being economical with the truth. at 900MW HOW ARE THEY GOING TO ACHIEVE 12 HOURS PER DAY PER REGION?

The only way 2020 will happen is miracles which is the only business God is in.

Other than that the vision 2020 is just a pipe dream and soundbite of a clueless President.

It is like trying to pass university without primary school or secondary school. If it is just Nigeria alone that is possible but if you are trying to measure yourself against other countries of the world, then forget it.

Also I refer to the vision as police N20 N20 vision, and i am sure even the police minimum take by 2020 will be at least N100 or N500.

As they say, in a game of lieing, if they are deceiving me I must not deceive myself. If the person being lied to does not know that he is being lied to, at least the person lieing knows that he is lieing.

Politicians is just a glorified name for liers in Nigeria more than any other country. look, my friends enjoy yourself while those politicians kept deceiving themselves.

The above qoute from that article/report of Sola Adebayo simply explain this Yar A'dull govt in all the 7 point agenda including Electricity in which he promised to declare emergency which took him over 365 days instead of the promised 100 days and even then we are yet to see the impact of his emergency or what he intends to do.

I thin Jonathan should remain so that at least he can have some influence. i beleiev he is well respected by at least the President if not all other surbodinate who controls the govt like Kingigbe and Aodaonkaa.

Politics6 Geo Political Zones by vigasimple(op): 9:31pm On Jul 04, 2008
1. First I would like if anyone has an up to date map of nigeria with the 6 geo political zone as it is divided with appopriate boundries (possible to also list states within those zones) to please upload it on this site.

If not, can we break it down as in

a. North west states
b. North central states
c.  North east states
d. South west states
e. South east states
f.  South south states

2. Now that the PHCN is now considering power(as in elecricity) sharing bewteen this 6 geo political zones, at least a timetable of days and hours in fair share should be published. even if each zone has electricity solidly in 12 hours per day at least they can use it during those periods, and put their generators ready for the rest 12 hours.

Now, the full details is still not clear, Are we talking of 12 hours in every 24 hours or in every 7 days or exactly what?

3. That takes us to the next question, If it is 12 hours per day per each zone, when did PHCN and th goverment hope that we can be on 18hours per day ,  then 24 hours, we(as in Nigerians) need a honest workable timeline. or would they just go from 12 hours to 24 hours of previous darkness system. even a quality timetabled  6 hours uninterupted electricty rationing as used to done in Ghana will not be a bad idea as long as everything is consistent.

4.  Finally, somebody has suggested on this forum somewhere before, in order to take pressure of the main capitals like lagos, Abuja and portharcourt, it is high time that the government designate a special zonal headquarters/areas for Trade/business in each of the 6 geo political zones, it can built over 10/20 years but we will have proper regions, and we should avoid using major business towns already known/established. We should simply find somewhere in the middle of each zone to locate where possible. That would aid development and reduce concentration in lagos?abuja and Port harcourt.

I want well meaning Nigerian to discuss the above in a sensible way rather than bashing or name calling as we know of some people on this site who simply do not come up with constructive criticism let alone ideas.

God bless Nigerian and her people.
PoliticsRe: Nothing Is Innately Wrong With Nigeria by vigasimple(m): 2:13am On Jul 04, 2008
Actually just before i read this posting I was thinking what is wrong with Nigeria.

Like one of the organisation I belong used to say, Nigeria problem is not hardware problem but software problem. Everything about making of a nation is present only few things to make it working properly is missing.

Now, as a lawyer there is something called on a balance of propabilities 51%/49% rule(Evidential burden of proof in civil matters). let me explain, and put it in the context of Nigeria.

In Nigeria Between the governors/rulers/leaders and the governed/people/subjects there is equal guilt. But applying the 51/49 rules of whom to blame more, sure it is our leaders.

It is for the leader to set out a bold vision for the followers to follow. In Nigeria the followers encourage the leaders to steal and they take the crumbles. One can also argued that the followers are so hungry that they are forced to encourage the leaders to steal.

Until we have sets of leaders who can lead, we will continue to go backwards rather than forward. All those year2020 vision in my own opinion is a police N20 naira vision that Yar A'dull is talking about is pure soundbite. He, our first graduate President may not even knows the meaning.

Year 2020 is only 12 years away, No Electricity or shall will say 1500MW, no good transport, all sort of failings except corruption which is the only growing and viable industry in Nigeria.

In conclusion majority of our leaders, past and present are a failure because they are unable to inspire the nation for a greater cause. OBJ has some good opportunity to do it and failed woefully. I am not suprised because he is not an intellectual. He has the moral authority having being the only Military head of state to handover to civilian without major crisies and at the point of handing over (having being forced to back down on 3rd term nonsense) to a civilian to civilian administration.

Surprisingly enough, in the land of the blind, one eyes man is king. At least we are all told and propably right that Yar a'dull is the least corrupt among all the candidates for the 2007 election or selection. OBJ  used Yar A'dull to checkmate IBB, Atiku and Bhuari.

Until we have a means of checkmating all those recycled bandits called leaders, we are unlikely to move forward.

1,000MW of power costs about USD 1billion. so if they have spent under OBJ  USD$10-$16B and we cannot see at least 5,000 to 8,000MW fully working, it is a joke. That is just using half price value, so $2billion to 1,000MW instead of the usual 2,000MW.

Shame on you PDP, OBJ, Yar A'dull no power. also don't forget IBB and Abacha super nonsense of mega corruption more than OBJ and Yar A'dull put together.

I prayed to God to be proved wrong, Yar A'dull is not a leader, his 'experience' in kastina state as a governor which is like some local government in lagos is inadequate to lead a country like nigeria.

A good leader is like Barack Obama, who will  inspire his people to see great vision with him, and you do as you ask them to do and not loading your  'Ghana must go bags' whilst you ask them to fast and pray for Nigeria. that is what leadership is all about. ability to insipre and lead from the front without being a bully.

May God bless Nigeria and her people and make her great.

To CHOCHORI

The poster did not get his information right. Even when you are married to a national of a country, you also need residence requirement or qualification.

For example, you will have stayed legally in the UK for 3 years before you can apply to become British if you are married to a british, and 5 years with indefinite leave to remain if you are not married.

So, you can just turn up and get citizenship like that. Your children born after the marriage are autmotically Britsh and Nigerian and you can get either or both passports for them.

My opinion is that your wife will have to come and live in Nigeria for at least 3 years before she can apply for naturalisation to become a Nigerian Citizen, and that is the general rule in most countries of the world with some small variation.

IBB is evil genius, God has not yet said that his time is up. He is propbaly the worse Nigeria has ever produced. Everyday for the thief, one day for the owner, Nigeria day will come and justice will be done.

OBJ is not saint either but in the History of Nigeria he is the only man apart from(abdusalam) that has voluntary relinquish power and he did it twice, one as a military man(and at that time he didn't get there by his own coup) and lately as a civilian President. Nothwithstanding that one cannot excuse obj failures.

1. His lack of vision to mentor patrotic young leaders to take the reign of leadership in our country.

2. failure to fix power/electricity with about $10-16 Billion dollars unaccounted for up on till this time.

3. His inability to rally the country round for the upliftment of our country to a better position. Therefore as a 'leader' he failed woefully.

I prayed and I hoped that I am wrong for the sake of ordinary Nigerians who need a better future for basic things to be working. As for yar A'dull the best description that I can offer is that he is A JOKE

Yar A'dull has already shown that he has no leadership qualities. If he wants to argue due process and rule of law and appoint dodgy people like Aoodaoka and IGP and Baba kinigbe, I am afraid he is a yesterday man and not a man of the future. Between them they replace RIBADU unconstitutionally and they are preaching rule of law. what is the diffrence between our so called first graduate President and an illiterate who cannot read what the constititution says.

You have to remove RIBADU of EFCC under one of the grounds of the constitution and not send him to some phoney college in KURU and appoint someone else full time before you confirm his removal under one of the grounds as provided by the constitution.

Time will tell. But one thing I am near certain is that at this rate OBJ will be a saint compared to Yar a'dull by the time he finish his term(s).

God bless and be with Nigeria

Sky Blue:
WOW, what a citizen, now imagine if every citizen was doing this, not necessarily sueing but holding people in public office more accountable to the citizenry. However just one question though, unless i am mistaken isn't the federal government under the current constitution immune from prosecution or has such been ammended? Because if you remember that was the excuse EFCC used for not going after ex governors during their tenure.
Sitting governors and President are immune from Criminal Prosecution and actions. In this case Gani is only suing them for unconstitutional acts, they will not have to go to Prison if they have found to have acted ultra vires- outside the constitution.

The court will order them or mandate them to do the right thing.
PoliticsRe: Gani Is Back! Sues Yaradua Over Waziri. by vigasimple(m): 4:00am On Jun 10, 2008
I have said it before that Yar a'Dull is even more dubious than his brother friend OBJ.

When it is convenient for him and his AGF and IGP and their soundbite and rhetorics they go on about due process and rule of law.

If you have not follow the constitution to remove RIBADU and use false pretence to send him to some dodgy college in KURU and replace him without formally removing him under the provision of the constitution. That is not due process and following Rule of Law. That is Yar A'dull due process and it is unconstitutional.

Just to make another important point, this same President deceived all Nigerians during his campaign last year that he will declare emergency on power within 100 days of being in government.

Over 365 days has passed he has not declare any emergency, he went on to say that there would be a need for a change in the law to do so.

The question is that did he not know that there would be a need  for such law when he was campaiging. And has he try to bring such legislation need before the House and get turned down. As far as I am concern Yar A'dull is playing the same game like his former boss OBJ with different tactics.

Everyday is for the Thief, one day is for the owner. Nigerians, our one day is coming and by God's Grace it will be soon.

Gani you are welcome Sir.
Foreign AffairsRe: Should Obama pick Hillary Clinton as running mate by vigasimple(m): 3:59pm On Jun 07, 2008
Hilary Rodham Clinton it's unfortunate cannot be a VP to anybody.

One, she has been a co-president for 8 years, and also mentor the VP Al Gore for 8 years so anything short of President she will not be able to handle it psycologically.

Then, what do you do with senior President Bill Clinton, he is already loosing it and if he can't give instruction to the lady in pant suit for her to hand down to Obama then it is no point.

I honestly don't think that HRC can play second fiddle to anyone even Bill at this stage of her life.

The popular saying in the US now is that Obama should employ a food tester if she were to become his VP.

During the campaign there are too many thing said that shows HRC mindset, from  'he is not ready to be commander in chief, to he has not pass the commander in chief test to RFK was asssainated in June' etc.

There are so many personality disorder between those two that there is simply no chemistry, with Obama he can be VP but HRC just want to be President even when the vote is against her in the eyes of the Millions viewing worldwide cannot be gracious when she has lost and was comparing the election to Mugabe in Zimbabwe.

The Clintons have lost an election in the last 28years so it appears from Tuesday that the Clintons are  bad loosers.

It is one thing unifying your base, it is another governing for 4-8 years. It is like 2 minute enjoyment of sex and maybe lifetime of unwanted child. All it can bring is unhappiness.

Obama has load of choice and by God's grace he will choose rightly and win the GE in the fall.
Foreign AffairsRe: Mccain And Hillary Together For 2008? by vigasimple(m): 3:40pm On Jun 07, 2008
Never say never but both of them will have to run as independent together and sign their death warrant and pay for their funeral insurance.

Then the other question would be as at when they decided to run as independent, who would be President and Vice President.

It wouldn't happen. Period

Death and taxes  are the two certainty in life. Those two not running together is another certainty.

I think all of this is just HRC supporters to 'force' Obama to choose her as his running mate. That again I think wouldn't happen. The cons are very much than the pros. It will be easier if is the other way round.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Power Shortage To Persist by vigasimple(m): 9:44pm On Jun 05, 2008
tinard:
Nigeria's electricity facts

1.Currently generates 3500MW
2.Would need 100,000MW to become an industrialised economy, according to the ex-president
3.Six power stations begun under the last administration have not been completed
4.$16bn (£8bn) has so far been spent on the power sector since 1999
Those are the facts that President Yar A'dull should keep in his head rather than shouting 2020 as if it will happen by magic.

Also for an average nigerians, if this guy said that we wouldn't have power stability until 2015 which is another 7 years from now, beleive me we would not be top 30 economy by year 2020 as othe countries will not be pussyfooting like our dear clueless president.

If we need say between 50,000 to 70,000 or even say minimum 20,000 and maximum 100,000 and we now have 3,500mw I think it is clear and obvious that we are living in a fools paradise. it was exactly what OBJ and yar A'dull meet in place 9 years ago. Between him Yar a'dull and OBJ they have wasted precious 9 years and $10-$16Billion and a little but extra for public enquiry.

Until The President spelt out in concreate terms what we have , what we need, how we are going to get them within a reasonable period of time from now(not more than 4-5 years) and the costs and where the monies is going to come from.

The timetable (timeline) most be rigid with penalties for contractors and this is allowed to become private business.

Somebody is fooling somebody if it takes us 9 years and there is no sign of concreate direction with respect to our power situation.

Ordinarily in a good country Yar a'dull will not even have the audacity to campaign for election not alone being 'rigged' for him by his brother's friend OBJ.

As they say  god e dey. One day is for the owner even though everyday is for the thief. Our day will come to make all of the Nigerian 'leaders' accountable.

PoliticsRe: Waziri's Appointment Confirmed! by vigasimple(m): 10:57am On Jun 05, 2008
This appointment simply confirmed that Yar A'dull is a follower and not a LEADER.

His IGP and AGF essentially convinced him Yar A'dull by their crooked means to remove RIBADU becase they feared that he might come after them or their protege. If we can all recall that Mike Aoodoka, the AGF is the former attorney for IBORI so you now know whose brief he is still holding.

Also i am not sure the senate knows what they are doing either. RIBADU has not been formally removed with any of the reasons within the provision of the constititution. That say's much for our President yar A'dull and his rule of law due process nonesense. he can't even follow simply due process of the constitution.

Most importantly, why sending the guy to school under pretence. Is it that they are trying to get rid of him as we all susupected all along. I think Yar A'dull shoul come out and tell Nigerians if RIBADU has done something wrong.

As far as we are hearing Waziri is a chop chop and we are back to square one and nobody will ever take us serious any more when it comes to fighting corruption.

Say hello to Mr Clueless President yar A'dull. he will even do worse than his big boss OBJ
