By far, the most worrying aspect is the deafening and resounding silence from the media and religious leaders considering this was an incident that occurred in late August while the video was posted September 2011. Even when this premeditated massacre of Muslims happened, very scant coverage was given by the Nigerian media which have shown more often than not to be very biased when it comes to reportage on sectarian crisis. There have been complaints on the media hurrying to use screaming (and sometimes exaggerated) headlines of Muslims killing Christians but hardly giving adequate or fair coverage when Muslims are the victims such as the virtual lack of coverage of the planned and premeditated massacre of hundreds of Muslims in Zonkwa, Southern Kaduna during the 2011 post elections violence by most media agencies. It appears the Nigerian media have decided there is only one type of victim, the noble Christian who is usually ambushed whilst worshipping in Church or in the dead of the night by a gang of marauding, sword-toting, gun-wielding bearded Muslims in a near murderous trance, chanting “Allahu Akbar”. Anything that goes contrary to or falls outside the purview of this dominant narrative is rejected and would never be entertained, published or broadcast. As a result, such crimes against hundreds of Muslims go underreported or even unreported.From this post, it appears your concerns and motives are more centered on the less coverage/attention given to the killings of Muslims than their christian counterparts. It's shocking, disgusting and mostly disturbing that anybody's first reaction to such horrifying video of a stone age feast is " If it were Muslims, everyone will be shouting, but if it were Christians, no one will talk". . . .are fcking kidding me? |

I am however concerned about how quickly you prefer to believe that Sanusi was arrested, detained, and released because he is the son of an influential family while others were executed. Do you know the reason why some of the arrested were released? Have you considered that, they may have been released because there was not enough evidence to convict them or they are simply innocent?My statement was I'm simple arguing that the truths of the events leading to the arrest, detention and eventual release of the son of an influential family while all others in the same shoes were executed, must be established.I haven't mentioned that he was released simply because he was from an influential family. I only mentioned his obvious position as being from an influential family. Many people don't have the full information regarding either his arrest or his release, it is for this reason that the whole truth must be re-established. As to your question, was Sanusi involved in a cold murder case? You'll have my respect if you'd reserve your answer until you or Fani Kayode can prove that he is not.I have absolutely no idea, i can't prove it, i wasn't there!. . .he may not have been the one who dealt the deadly blow, but he may have influenced or cheered others into doing so. All we have are mere conjectures and in a normally sane environment, each of these conjecture ought to be examined carefully with a honest open mind to establish the truth, lest the guilty may walk free while an innocent's man's blood remain unavenged. |

I'm simple arguing that the truths of the events leading to the arrest, detention and eventual release of the son of an influential family while all others in the same shoes were executed, must be established. Providing safety nets in form of a political "witch hunt" will only help to further mask the truth and ultimately obstruct Justice. |

tanimola22:I found that occasionally reading aloud using the speak and pause technique has helped me over the years. In addition, it has helped my comprehension abilities too. Normally, when we read, we get to read so fast in our heads that we are just looking to consume so much material in a very little time frame. I found this is sometime reflective in the way we speak, or deliver speech too --we just want to say so many things within a short time frame and in the process, come across as clumsy and inarticulate. Reading aloud to myself and being consciously paced as helped me to improve on this. Generally, your knowledge of English language will improve the more you read Speaking however requires confidence and the ability to time the pace of your speech enough to keep the attention of your audience. Many great speakers, Obama including, speak using "pauses"with a feeling that "the world can wait to hear this". e.g "Today, . . .( 3 seconds pause). . .the United States conducted a military operation. . .(2 seconds pause). . . in the capital city of bengahzi. . . .(4 seconds pause)" |

At best, I'd start a never ending expensive legal claim that I'm sure i wouldn't win in the end, but may have caused the company a lot of embarrassment. At the worst, i'd resort to fighting dirty through online media, journals and magazines.
