That is not a deterrent, a real deterrent to killers is to give the family a choice after the person has been found guilty. Options like:

1) Choose to send this person alive to a lion, tiger, hyena, leopard, or pinara cage with their hands tied behind their back.

2) Choose to have this person sent to one of the above cages with partial suffering like put one leg in the cage, tomorrw put another leg, then hands, and then the whole body.


This is in addition to seizing all their properties, finances, pension, and checking who that person did a year's worth of transaction with.

You make a valid point but I don't support your conclusion. We have to rise above our differences to bring greatness to Africa. We need to purposely sacrifice for us to begin that process.

We can compare to america in the sense that if Nigeria is sensible enough to overcome tribalism, then more African will come through, so any sensible govt will plan for that type of scenario. One way to do that is to treat everybody equally, hence "all men are created equal". Africans should know that Nigeria is their home too but eventually, their home is our home too, which will make us African citizens. Our tribal loggerheads is not leading us anywhere, so we need to do something different. Africa will unite to prosper, so your current tribe might be extinct, just like we were once another tribe before our current tribe. My argument is that Nigeria leads in this regards because we are a case study of how Africa overcame tribalism for future generations.

That's why i say the best course to that is to significantly reduce or outright eliminate those barriers and forge a new one. Bold steps is what am talking about here. We don't act like a desperate people here. When the USA was formed, they dealt with their barriers, eg "all men are created equal", now blacks and others stand on that ground. They are forging a new path. It is time for Nigeria to lead Africa away from tribalism.

If Igbos and Yorubas collaborate in African interest, I believe Africa will grow starting from Nigeria. Every tribe from the east to the west will be given a fair play and chance because the fairness agreement between yoruba and igbos will be thorough for it to be meaningful. Hausas and fulanis will be brought in because yorubas are that link between igbos and hausas based on religious grounds.

It will be a great era in Nigeria if the two tribes collaborate fairly and respectfully and as a family. All the electrical, infrastructural, and moral issues will be easily solvable. We need this collaboration to lift for our best interest. I will go as far as saying we need to constitutionally say that our offical language should be Swahili, english, and a choice of pidgeon. We need to sacrifice our current language and many traditions that are not transferable, this should be done for our greater good as Africans.
