Mrfixitt: Mumu FG na now una eyes clear abi ? Obasanjo advised Tinubu on what to do but like a clueless man he is, he gave deaf ears.Almost $20b wasted yet nothing is working..May Tinubu NEVER HAPPEN to Nigeria again My friend avoid bias when you criticize. The turnaround maintenance, the disbursement and the management team were actions of Buhari. PBAT inherited them. As sensitive as sale of a major asset like NNPC is would it be the first actions of a new president when commitment and expenditure has been made by previous administration? The logical thing is it not to encourage it to see if something good will come out? If it didn't work out, the next step is to fire the team, put a new team in place and allow them to have a neutral look at the issue. Whatever comes out then a firm decision will be taken. Is this not what is happening? Leadership is not a piece of cake 🎂. |

Let's even say he did all that FG is accusing him of, MNK is saying you can't try him on illegality. The way he was brought into the country makes a mess of whatever they want to try him on....simple! I want to ask you a simple question: since this case started for some years Kanu has been using lawyers. Now that the case is close to conclusion why did he suddenly decide to represent himself? The same man that mentioned the names of the high and mighty as his witnesses suddenly don't want to enter his defence. Kanu knows that the evidence against him will send him to jail. He wants to play to the gallery but he will end up jailed. |

Kindered: he's been living in Nigeria for decades before Tinubu curruption forced him back to his country The Arnold guy apparently has nothing good to do in USA. Why so much interest on Nigeria? For people that are celebrating and inviting Trump, how many American fighters is he bringing? Nigeria is not small Libya. The vast North and forests how many can they cover? All terror groups around the world count America as number one enemy. How about if they regroup in neighbouring countries to launch real attacks against the south that is christian dominated? Will Trump send enough fighters to cover both northern and southern Nigeria? Nigeria is too large and complex beyond what Trump thinks. The best he can do is to impose heavy sanctions and diplomatic muscle flexing. But evasion is not possible. |

This our economic posture is abracadabra kind of. The more you look the more you see. In financing you have long and short term. Your reserves cover your short term while your loans are for long term. There are fundamentals that determine whether your economy is healthy even with long term loan. I will not waste my time explaining further. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: US State Department's Designated Countries Of Particular Concern (see List) by Vision101(m): 2:21pm On Nov 01, 2025 |
Nazgul: Are Nigeria and China on the same economic level?
China is a global superpower with one of the strongest economies in the world. Their manufacturing, technology, infrastructure, and export strength are miles ahead of most countries, not just Nigeria.
In case you don't know, China has managed to industrialize rapidly over the last few decades, lifting hundreds of millions out of poverty and becoming the world’s factory. Meanwhile, Nigeria is still struggling with unreliable power supply, poor infrastructure, insecurity, unstable policies, corruption and heavy dependence on imports.
That’s why when such lists come out, it’s not the same thing. The “countries of concern” list is largely aimed at African and Middle Eastern nations. Regions often labeled as politically unstable or high-risk. China might appear there due to political tensions with the West, but economically, they’re still too powerful to be treated the same way.
Our realities are not alike. While this can cripple us, China has the systems, industrial capacity, and global partnerships to withstand it. Sebi America imposed duty, how far did it affect us? Aside arms which they hardly accept to sell to us there is minimal trade between America and Nigeria. It was not so in the past. The truth is that Nigeria has almost fully aligned her economy to Asia. How many American companies are here? Trump just wants to be everywhere at the same time. They have discovered that their economic policies that are hurting others are not hurting us. Not that we are rich but high cost of their products and services have made us to turn to Asia. Besides they import little or no crude from us. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: US State Department's Designated Countries Of Particular Concern (see List) by Vision101(m): 1:00pm On Nov 01, 2025 |
Nazgul: This your post exposes how shallow your knowledge about what happens to country of particular concern is.
Let me explain it to you. When a country gets categorized as a “country of concern,” it sends the wrong signal to the global community, especially investors.
Foreign investors rely heavily on stability, credibility, and security when deciding where to put their money. Once a country is flagged, it creates fear of political risk, unstable policies, and possible sanctions. That alone is enough to make international companies look elsewhere.
It also affects trade relations, travel opportunities, and access to international funding or partnerships. Even Nigerians abroad could start facing tighter visa and business restrictions because other nations now view us through a lens of suspicion.
Would you still say we shouldn't be worried about this categorization? China dey there ooo |

Can't they organize themselves and fight their common external enemy? What has been Bode George's efforts as an elder in resolving their problem? It's share laziness for a group to constantly dodge their responsibilities and accuse others of being responsible for their failure. I have been waiting for this because I know it would have been a valid excuse for them
Now that they have a supermajority, APC especially Tinubu don't have any excuse to reinvent Nigeria to their utopian state they used to mouth when they were in opposition Not now but after 2027 elections. It's risk to touch those areas. It will be a political suicide to touch almighty fuel subsidy, fx unification, tax reforms, local government autonomy etc all in one term and go ahead and touch restructuring. That would be stretching our luck too far. Wait for restructuring in second term. |

There was a country It's not true. The truth is that the north is so vast. There are so many ungoverned places. Some places don't even have signs of governance. If you travel in the far north you will see large lonely land mostly bush and forests separating hamlets not even towns. You will need to have ten times the size of the present military to effectively police the North. These fools take advantage of the above to behave as if they are too strong. They can't try such stunt in the south. Besides gorilla warfare is more difficult than conventional warfare. They just take advantage of a minor lapse, cause havoc and run away. The military is more used to conventional warfare. |

geoworldedu: Na wa o. Pastors ehm, very disgraceful people.
I was sitting in the midst of two people yesterday, arguing about marriage life. One was trying to back up his claims with the Bible, the other was balancing Bible and Quran because her father is a Muslim and she is a Christian. I was just watching because they don't even know that I am neither a Christian nor a Muslim.
The lady's marriage has collapsed after a dozen years in marriage. She said that about 6 people told her that she was the man's missing ribs before they got married. About 3 pastors told her that they are fit for each other. Someone even checked from traditional worshippers to claim same. Even some Muslim clerics said same. But the marriage failed, even despite how she tried to make it work by pleasing the man in every way.
The other man, a Christian was bitterly complaining how his wife would never listen to him. He was quoting Bible to say that wife has to be submissive. Wife has to respect their husbands.
I was just laughing inside my mind. First, religion doesn't keep marriage, the couples do. They must be in agreement. They must be playing mates. They must try to elevate each other. One must not look down on the other.
That's how mine is working. Whatever I'm doing, I want my wife to also get to that height. Then we always reiterate our goal. We don't use Bible or Quran to build our relationship. We don't ask pastors for advice.
Pastors are there most of the times to ruin marriages rather than building it. We can see them manifesting here and there.
Try always dialoguing with your wife or husband instead of taking your matters to pastors or imam or traditionalists. It works good. But if two people cannot agree to the point that they have to start fighting physically, abeg call it quit before you become late.
My two cents. All these your long grammar, what is the offence of the pastor? |
