A seat was assigned to her and she refused and began to insult the leadership. Next she raised up a scandal. It will be her duty to prove her allegation. This is distraction. It has nothing to do with the event in the Senate. If Akpabio's aide insulted her then her aide can equally insult Akpabio. Raising an issue that is entirely outside the event is a make-believe, after thought and distraction.

We have to set good examples and show that everyone is held accountable. Akpabio cannot be the judge, the jury and executioner. As he has always been. This is not any different from military regime. We have to show the world , this is indeed a democracy.

Someone had an issue in the Senate and was asked to do the right thing rather than face the real issue she left it and excavated something that happened (let's believe that it's true) between them long ago that she kept quiet.

If you have a subordinate that did the wrong thing and you punished her. Rather than prove that she did the right thing and that you are wrong in punishing her, she will come up with the alibi that you sexually harassed her six months ago. Does this make sense? Why didn't her make the allegation when it happened?

I'm not any politician's defender but I understand economics and finance. I know that the managers of our economy have been padding things for so many years. Our exchange rate then was not realistic. Do you know that back then people earn money abroad, bring it in by exchanging it at the parallel market, use the naira to buy fx at official rate and transfer out of the country. By this movement £1,000 brought in will go back to the UK at about £1,700. It takes courage and political risk to take some of the decisions that this regime has taken. This is not to say that they don't have their flaws. BAT is very courageous.
