@poster, you remind me of Sepp Blatter who said football is modern day slavery. I laughed at his joke. I agree with you to a large extent. Self employment has lots of advantages. As for salary jobs being modern day slavery, that depends on the job. I was shocked when i heard of a certain individual who earns 200million p.a in one of the G.S.M companies. There are others who earn tens of millions in blue chip companies. The interesting thing is that they don't all work like jackass. Before becoming an entrepreneur, i think it's usually good for one to work for a few years to gain some experience in their career. Most of these entrepreneurs usually start from some where, while some just start without even working a single day for another. It varies. |
@tkb, I was re-iterating what you said earlier on. I agree with u their jersey is awful, I think Nike makes more fanciful jersey. But if ugly jerseys can make us win, let us go for it, |
Kevin was great. Think he was from Yoruba tribe, nevertheless he did very well, These are the few people rebranding Nigeria, IK the anchor did us proud. I think he's one of the best in the country, |
tkb417: tkb417:What is so beautiful in Cameron jersey. Gosh Iyineda: Iyineda:Just too simple, no creativity at all, better still they should include the slogan " Good people Great Nation" . We should use the SE to re brand Nigeria I think the USA 94 jersey, and the jersey used when SE played in Wembley station still remains the best |
I don't have problem with OBJ drinking garri. He's a down to earth guy. Let them show us how he eats amala and ewedu soup ![]() |
I think most men would look at the configuration of her hips, the size of her boobs and her overall beauty before considering her height. If she's tall and have these qualities in the right proportion, she'll be a catch, take this gal for instance May be not extremely curvaceous, but she's hot |
fuke: fuke:Exactly, I mean, whats the correlation between empirical science and politics. She was doing well in NAFDAC, she should have known that was the right place for her. If she had rejected the offer to be minister of Information, I still believe she would not lack. If she still decides to work, there are several world class organisations that would require her services, some people just don't think. Using the analogy of football; Imagine someone like Peter Cech saying he wants to play as a striker. it sounds ridiculous. Thats what Dora is doing. |
Ps all those who are calling Sanusi all sorts of names, if you were in his position what would you do? These CEO Bankers were found guilty of fraud can any one deny that? Cece Ibru has a private jet, and she was still thinking of acquiring more. The loan given out by her bank were almost as high as the capital base. And so many discrepancies that were hidden were discovered. I think he has done well in that respect. If he indeed absolved ETB of any wrong, the i don't see him as having personal agenda. Many of us here donnot realize that some of the bank shares were being manipulated. The public had been fed lies about the true performance of the bank. I have read alot of posts and no one has said what Sanusi should have done. |
I have read her comments very well, " , (Laughing)stella,i think i have more than paid my dues.i got into the industry that was full of flaws, there were no rules to work by,nollywood practically had nothing when i began my career,i think i am one of those few people who struggled and toiled hard in my capacity as an actress to put nollywood where it is today.i have paid my dues,i have worked through my own in the industry. She's one of the pioneering actresses, But for her to say she's one of the few acts to put nollywood where it is, i have to wonder. what fantastic thing did she do? Was she a script writer, a director, a producer, a marketer or financier ? These are the people who have done much work to put Nollywood where it is |
Nonsense and ingredient. Jaga and scata scata. Who cares if he drinks garri or drink pi$$. I don't understand the kind of media stunt he's trying to pull |
Sorry poster, I don't think your analysis is that accurate. I love tall curvaceous and beautiful ladies, but they are rare. I see some lanky gals and thats not too cool for me. I have a rule of thumb. I'm 6'3", and any lady below my height i consider shorter. . So you might be bragging that u are tall, but you might be short |
They are learning from their brother sports- football. The ref. should be banned and heavily fined. |
MrCrackles:If he is over 33, then i don't think the margin would be that much. Consider those U-17 of his time, how many are still playing active soccer? Wilson oruma; Mobi Okparakwu; Anosike et al. I think one of the ways you would know someone as a real age cheat is how long he lasts. Consider Philip Osundu, Christopher Ohenhen, Sunday Oliseh, |
Avram Grant was kidding , wonder if Kanu would find it funny, MrCrackles:You can't say he's an age cheat. U have prove? For a 33 year old, he's approaching his menopause in football. Even at that, he's still good for that age |
@Pepsi, she'd very good at her job; she's one of the reason i watch Today on STV, If she's shagging the three Bruces, hmmmmmm na wa O. She get power well well. But you no fit Know because her to what a looong explanation |
If there are sexy gals like these playing golf then, i have been missing. gat to start watching immediately. Lawn tennis still remains my number 1 ladies sport, may be female golfers should emulate their dress style ![]() |
We still do have some decent players in Europe. I think the major challenge is that we have more attackers than any department. Our Mid-field is pathetic. Our last game actually exposed the SE a$$. Yususf Ayinla was busy running round the field and not winning the ball, Let's see how Shuaibu will handle the AFCON before we can talkj about WC |
edoyad: edoyad:was it not the same princess Fergie that knocked Mou out? 2 goals to nothing. What a shame after all the hype. Liverpool knocked out Inter with the same scoreline the previous season, Mou has repeated the failure. What's the difference? Mou needs special fluke to come out from the group. |
jude33084:Your argument is baseless. Why are Nigerians so sentimental? They want to manage mediocrity in the name of being patriotic. In case you don't know, it's a foreign coach handling the national team of almighty ENGLAND, the origin of football. You can't even compare the quality of English coaches to what we have in Africa, but they decided to employ a FOREIGN coach. And he's even the highest earning national team coach and the third highest paid coach in the world. What can you say to that? NFF/ NFA know the right thing to do, but did not do it. It's now they are thinking of hire a National team coach when they should have done it long before now. Amodu is not a bad coach, he might be the best hand in Nigeria. This goes to show you that we should hire a foreign coach, I have digressed from the main topic. I believe we can handle Egypt, but it's not going to be any easy task. North African teams have been troubling us ( apart from the Amokachi/ Finidi generation ). We need to find a formula to handle them. |
Let the optimism continue. Many of us here are motivational speakers, In that group, Maradona is the worst ( or daftest) coach next to him Amodu. But they coach the teams in the group with the best pedigree in soccer. What a paradox. I can't really say what who will come out through cause of the unpredictability of our team. I just want to enjoy the world cup weather or not Nigeria goes far. As for Argentina, anything can happen. They might not even qualify for the next stage, |
The Special Genius was given a red card as Inter faced Juve and to make matter worse, Inter was flogged well big time . Forget story jare.raffite: |
Caroline Ekanem. My darling sweetie |
I wonder why ladies love tall guys anyway. I have seen a couple of short guys hanging out with tall model like babes. Unfortunately or otherwise, height is not something you work for. Just as some people are born beautiful, some are born tall and shapely. 6'2" is usually the most enviable height for men, |

Sorry O. When you sleep under the bridge, that is the kind of dream you will get. Or what is wrong with Serena Williams? Your girl friend fine reach am? |
You must be at the peak of ya game. When i was young i was ditamined, ![]() The point shouldn't be your accent, but the way you speak. For instance some one like Hakeem Olajuwon has been in the U.S for more than twenty years and he still has the Yoruba accent. But he speaks English very well, infact he speaks up to 4 different foreign languages. Kanu's pronunciation is f#cked . Whenever i listen to the advert, me and my Ibo friend have a good laugh. Another big problem we have is people trying to fake their accent. Imagine a player who has been in Belgium for many years but speaks American accent. How come? Its not just that they speak the accent correctly, their grammar and pronunciation is awful |
Henry has done fairly well for Barca at his age. He has scored some vital goals even though he has not played as a top striker. For some one who is still regular, that should say alot about him |
Nigeria's case is quite unique. We have alot of ethnic groups in Nigeria alone, and there should be some sort of equity amongst them. They should have an identity. On the other hand, instead if scrapping the states into six geopolitical zones, why not just make it 2 states at once. |
This is an insult for the muslim of NL for this thread to get to the frontpage of NL the poster mr nezan did it to ridicule islam. The muslim in authority are puppets. And inshaAllahu they will pay for it
This is a serious threat O. There might be a virus bomb explosion on NL and we might all pay for it. What is wrong with the post making front page? Some weeks ago the controversy of Tunde Bakare was put on front page. Alot of people made outrageous and insensitive statements about the Church, but no one said it was an insult on Christianity. But in this case a woman's life was lost because she went on pilgrim. Should we keep quiet about it? |
If Henry is surplus to Barca's requirement, what would be of Robinho? Or are you judging him based on Madrid performance alone? |
